My last visit for beans was good. They had my beans. The young lady was very nice.

A comfortable relaxing place to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee. Tons of coffee options and friendly faces to help you decide, which together provides a atmosphere you would like to stay in forever. The wait time is more than acceptable, I would say. Around 5 min. Or less. If I could live in a coffee shop like persona 5. Id like the cafe to be a Dakotas. Competitive prices to boot.

Coffee is good, prices average... Everytime Ive been, there is no music for background noise-makes for a really awkward dine in experience when you feel uncomfortable to hold a normal conversation. Looks like the place could use a good deep cleaning. Restroom was gross, ceiling fan, booths, window sills-doesnt set a good impression of how the coffee equipment may be cleaned.

An absolutely awesome place to meet, study, or hang out with friends. Great and kind staff make you feel welcomed and appreciated. Large selection of coffee beans for sale, great coffee (hot, iced, or frappe), and delicious desserts and other treats make this coffee shop the BEST in Dothan.

Very unique inside and great coffee even a good selection. Staff is mostly nice sometime you get those ones who look like they would rather be home than see your mug lol. A great place to relax and get some work done or hang out with friends.

These folks are amazing. I always recommend them to people new to the area, just passing through, or friends just looking for a good coffee or cafe stop. The staff is phenomenal, always friendly, and make it a point to learn the names and orders of those who make a regular trip to see them. Whether Im in the mood for a cappuccino, frozen mocha, or just a straight cup of coffee, its always done right, and theyll always follow up to be sure of it. If you want a good drink, sandwich or dessert in a timely manner, come see them. You wont be disappointed.

Im going to say it this place is better than Starbucks! The drinks are just more creamier and richer and seem to be made from care! The Staff is really nice.

The drink was fine, it was even good. But I went in during the height of the COVID pandemic (while Alabama was under a mask mandate), and not one employee was wearing a mask or taking any precautions. This gave me a really negative impression of this coffee shop, and I hate to say that I will not be back.

The staff and the atmosphere are great. My only issue is my tea lately hasnt really tasted sweet when I ordered it sweetened. Still drinkable but not sweet.

I just moved to the area and I’ve been here a few times already! Seems like nice staff and great atmosphere. I will say, I wish they used the pumps for the flavoring. Sometimes I don’t get enough flavoring, sometimes it’s wayyy too much. I’ve noticed the staff just pours in syrup flavoring to the cup. So depending on who makes my coffee, it’s always different! So hit or miss sometimes. Aside from that, I’ve had zero problems, and will be back!

So I LOVE coffee. And a friend told me to try Dakota Coffee. Yall these sweet people exceeded my expectations! The coffee was amazing and my bagel with cream cheese was sooo delicious!! The girls working the window were so sweet, talkative and fast but efficient!! EVERYTHING was amazing and on point! I will definitely be a regular there!! If you havent tried them do yourself a huge favor and go!!! You will not be sorry!!!

The staff was extremely helpful and had such a great personality. The wait wasnt long and the coffee was pretty impressive. We hit the drive thru and didnt go in to order but if I lived in Dothan I would be here daily. The prices were amazing and the quality was in my opinion better than the corporate chains. I highly recommend getting coffee here.

My all time, hands down, favorite coffee shop of all time. They have a variety of coffee options as well as the option for sugar free syrup if you choose. Never had a bad experience. If you don’t like coffee they offer cream soda as well which is also super yummy.

From the perspective of COVID safety, this is not the place to visit. Traveling through Dothan we stopped here to get a snack and use the restroom. Not a single employee was wearing a mask or gloves. I ordered a scone and the surly employee grabbed it with her bare hands to package it. While my wife was deciding on a drink the employee put the empty cup she was holding (in her bare hands) back on the stack of unused cups when she realized my wife was getting a different size.Maybe COVID isnt a concern in Dothan? As my wife is pregnant we wore masks and take all precautions we can. This place made us feel like we were the weird ones for being careful.Beyond COVID, this is a sweet, very cute and clean shop. Unfortunately were throwing away what we got here, but maybe its just not for out of towners.

Staff was so incredibly loud. Was there on a Sunday. Talking about all of their personal problems at a volume I would consider just below yelling. The blenders wouldn’t stop the conversation either. They’d just talk even louder. Not a great place to go if you’re looking for somewhere to study. Coffee is more of an afterthought. Seems like their specialty is blended drinks. Scones were good.

The coffee is really good, as well as the food items. But the girl who took my order this morning was a little rude. It was a girl with blonde hair and black glasses. She almost seemed annoyed that I was there, and didnt even smile or say hello. Maybe she was having a bad day but it was a little off-putting when it was my first time coming here. Everything else was good and I would definitely come back.

Summer is the best barista in town! She listens to what I want & makes my frozen cappuccino perfect! Their nitro coffee is awesome! Ron has the best tasting coffee in town in a relaxing & welcoming environment. Service is quick, efficient, and friendly. Give it a try; you wont be disappointed.

Amazing coffee and service

Decent for coffee drinks like frappes and lattes. Not so much for real coffee like cappuccino or macchiato. That iced mocha is DELICIOUS!! It was super hot inside.. almost uncomfortably hot. And very dated.

Excited to try but couldnt get waited on. 4 people behind counter and nobody even acknowledged me. Lady walked in with me did..think they knew her. Could have at least said something to me. I had to go to work!

Friendly staff that keep this quaint coffee shop clean and the vibe chill. The coffee is delicious but it’s honestly a great place to study or meet with a small group of friends. They have a drive through so I often stop here for coffee on my way to work or if I need a java jolt on my way home.

Although very short, I enjoyed my visit to Dakota Coffee Works.The atmosphere is calm and inviting, with comfortable seating.My only complaint are the limited power outlets. Most are located on walls and those seats are very quickly taken.The menu was a little overwhelming. It could probably be simplified, but overall the selections are great! My iced coffee was perfect and reasonably priced.If youre in Dothan, I recommend visiting here over the obvious coffee café chain.

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Dothan. I highly recommend their iced coffee. They have a perfect recipe, and anytime Im craving iced coffee, this is my go to.

Dude was making coffee and serving in a tank top. Seemed gross. Coffee was barely warm. Ive had better service there before.Step it up guys!

During my visit, all of the employees were sitting at one of the tables eating pizza. When a customer would come in, one of the employees would get up and make their drinks. This only bothered me for sanitary reasons. The employees were not washing their hands between eating pizza and making the customers orders. Dakota plays nice music, but it is very loud, making it quite distracting to those studying or reading. I also thought it was a little irritating to be charged 40 cents extra just for whipped cream when most places offer it free of charge. Dakota isnt my first coffee shop option, but they do have good drinks.

I use a pound of their Bourbon Pecan coffee every week or two. Good stuff.

We are regulars at Dakota Coffee. Our order is always a large carmel latte and a large nitro with cream and sugar. 99 percent of the time our order is perfect. The other one percent is caused by one guy who consistently makes my latte too weak so it tastes like nothing more than sweet milk. Train him better or let him go and Ill give you 💯.

They dont really know how to make good espresso drinks. All the frozen stuff is great if youre into that crap. Starbucks makes much better and more consistent drinks. The Old Dakota on the Circle was a classic hang-out spot for the bored kids in this pathetic town. This Dakota- not so much. Nice try.

Coffee (Ethiopian) was decent. Better than McDs but not worth the wait. Service was the real disappointment. Counter was ran by some 20 somethings and I waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged while they chatted with their friends at the counter. The customers, who were also 20 somethings and friends with the employees, ate their food at the counter, chatting away, unaware that others were waiting behind.

Thre gentleman that waited on me was very knowledgeable and offered many suggestions for what I was wanting. Will visit again.

The drinks are rather inconsistent as there seems to be no formal instruction on how to assemble the drinks. The staff is usually pretty friendly, and there are a handful of devoted regulars who frequent the shop. As Dothan still doesnt have a freestanding Starbucks, this shop is the best bet for a decent coffee on-the-go.
