This is a high volume optometrist company. Even though my glasses took 6 days (they were supposed to be done the same day) and two corrections to get the prescription right, the district manager was awesome to talk to and earned my loyalty as a customer.By backing up statements of customer service with actions, the district manager proved Denny Vision is not just about the Benjamins.I was impressed and will be a long term customer.
Saw Dr Bowers and was very pleased with how thorough she was. Odessa helped me chose a flattering pair of glasses and helped me get the most using my insurance. She is awesome 👌
Have brought children ages from 5-16 and seen Dr. Maxwell. He and the nurses are nothing short of amazing. My littlest was not pleased but they did everything they could to make the appointment smooth.
My self, Henry Erwin Miller (age 63) and my wife. Cindy Lee Miller (age 60)(we both have appointments today 4/23/21 at 10:10am. We both finally saw the Doctors (an hour late). My wife saw Dr. Dan. I saw Dr. Jones. Both kind, courteous and professional. The experience was great. I was fitted with contacts and also given info about 2 bumps under my eye. Also, a very small adjustment and contacts. The wife opted to keep her old frames, but upgrade the lenses. A little bump in power and she can see much better. Great service from Dr. Dan and Dr. Jones They truly are about people. Great and caring service.
I am so disappointed with how this place has become. I came in first thing on a Saturday due to my work schedule to get an eye exam and new glasses. I was told to sign in and someone would be right with me. Granted there were only about 5 people in the whole waiting area. It was 45 minutes later that I was called to the registration desk and told that I didnt have an appointment and the Doctors were booked for the day. Does the sign not say Walk Ins Welcome????? I have been coming to Denney Vision for over 20 years and have bought every pair of glasses and contacts from them since I was a kid. However, after today, the thousands upon thousands of dollars that I have spent with them over the years will NEVER be sent to them again!!!!!
Let me first just say, this place was absolutely amazing! I just moved to the area and didn’t have an eye doctor yet. I saw on their website where they would take walk ins so I decided to try my luck due to needing to get my eyes checked ASAP. I walked in and the place was crazy, people everywhere! But that didn’t stop me from getting a warm welcome. The place was extremely organized. I knew being that I was a walk in that it would be a little while before I was going to be seen. I was wrong, I waited maybe an hour with a ton of people in the waiting area. Every single worker that I came across was very sweet and answered all of my questions considering I had never been to an eye doctor before. And the best of the best, my glasses were ready in 2 hours! I highly recommend Denny’s vision in Dothan!!!! While my husband and I are stationed here that will be my go to place! :)
I arrived for my appointment, completed the new patient paperwork, and waited less than five minutes to be escorted into the exam room. Dr. Melanie Chwalek, and staff, was very thorough during the exam and carefully listened to all of my questions. I was very impressed that they didn’t rush through the exam, nor was I pressured to buy glasses. Just a heads-up that the front entrance is closed and there is plenty of parking in the back of the office. I would recommend their services. Comprehensive exam cost $143 + $25 to determine Refractive state. 1/21/2021
First I would like to say, My doctor was totally professional and kind. I had not been back for a couple of years due to staff registration was a nightmare. I came an hour early each time, then I had to wait 2 hours. I went back because they called me and I decided to give them another chance, big mistake. They were worse than before, the associates had on gloves they never changed. I had COVID and almost died. I am extra cautious. They half cleaned the instruments. Then to really hurt me, they kept putting my folder at the bottom? I know it was on purpose because, I am a nurse and I had to work, it was a mistake telling them, they made me later. Did not get my glasses, they did my folder the same way in the back waiting for glasses. Finally I left, it was too much. It started with the big dark lady at registration. No more chances. 😢
The visit was fine - professional technician and optometrist... Then, we had to wait and wait for a specialist to order glasses. I was told that our insurance would only cover lens at this time. We paid $100 for our co-pay (including anti- reflective coating) and were asked to leave my sons good glasses with them and the new lens would be ready before lunch the next day. Got a call the next morning saying they werent able to do them in-house and it would be 14 days. I drove back down there, got his old glasses, got his prescription and told them to cancel the order. Just got a call this morning that they do not do refunds, so we are out $100 and two trips over an hour each way for nothing. Not happy at all.

No privacy. Asking everyone their names, birthdays, phone numbers, address and social security numbers while everyone in waiting area could hear, was more like an essembly line than a drs office. Was so uncomfortable with the lack of HIPA I left. Too many identity thrives out there.
Awesome place. In the day of COVID everyone from the receptionist to the person who helped me pick out my frames made my first eye experience incredibly pleasant. Definitely would go again and again.
This is a high volume optometrist where you spend 1+ hour waiting for your appointment and 5 actual minutes being seen.My RX was not right after my first lengthy appt, so unfortunately I had to go back. Not to mention staff tried giving me my Prada frames - that I paid +$200 for new lenses in - back with a broken arm. Waited another hour for them to sort it out.They offered me 1/2 off another frame. Thats another $200. 😑 And probably another hour of my time. No thanks. Ill take the loss on this one I guess. Busy professionals may want to steer clear.
The doctors and staff were all really friendly and super helpful. They answered all my questions to the best of their ability and were really patient with me. The office is clean and neat. They keep it super organized. The building is super easy to navigate thanks to signs hanging from the ceiling. I was waited on in a timely manner. Overall, a great experience, and I look forward to going back to get my glasses.
Our youngest has very bad eyesight. Without glasses he can barely see to read with the material just a couple inches from his face. Hes in band at school. During a band event his glasses were run-over and he needed replacements asap. Unfortunately he didnt have a backup pair with his most recent prescription. After calling around my wife and I found Denny vision. We called and they took our insurance and said they could have his glasses done in a few hours. Appointment booked same day! Upon finishing his exam and picking out his frames I learned they are probably one of the more expensive places for glasses. This if factoring in my insurances $130 allowance for new frames with a 20% off whats over that. The cheapest frames I saw were 159.00. Whatever, as long as hes getting them before school Monday. Were here for the quick service, so I thought. This was on a Friday. During the checkout process I asked the young medical assistant about the turn around time to get his glasses back. She tells me the would probably be down today, but of not they should be done tomorrow because were open from 8-12 Saturday. So now its Saturday past 1030. No phone call or text. Tried calling but apparently every number we have including whats on the receipt goes to a call center and not the actual office. Was told by someone at the call center who took his information that she would check and give us a call. She also told us that some of there machines are down and wasnt sure how long lenses were taking and that they cant make some of the lenses.I told the people in the office about what happened to his glasses and Im sure they could tell he could barely make out shapes. Yet not one person mentioned they might not be able to get his glasses done quickly!?!?There was another optometrist office in ozark that said they could make them that day but couldnt do the exam. If I had known there in the office I would have gladly paid my copay for the exam and just took his prescription. He medically needs his glasses.So yeah, never going here again.
Every time I come here the service and length of time is always over 2 hours. To say your understaffed is not true when 5 employees are gathering. This is my last time here
This place is terrible. Ive never had a vision center not be able to give me a quote over the phone, but apparently these people dont even know their own prices. Called to get a basic quote, told me they couldnt give one. Thats fine, since you dont know your own prices I will take my business elsewhere.

All the staff at Denny Vision were polite and knowledgeable. They made sure they had all my insurance information so I did not have to overpay for my services. The Technician did a great job with the prescreening. Dr. Bowers asked about my concerns, did a thorough exam and discussed my options. They helped with picking out a frame and explained lens choices. Paying for everything was easy and quick. If you want a good eye exam from caring people, go to Denny Vision.

Denny Vision is Amazing!! Weve seen three different doctors there and they are so nice and extremely helpful!! All the nurses and even cashiers are extremely patient with people. I give you all a huge thumbs up!! Ive wore glasses for almost 30 years since i was a little girl and this place and these people are definitely among the best!! Thanks for everything!!

I hate to give bad reviews but this I can’t overlook. First of all I will give my optometrist 5 stars!! She was was wonderful, courteous and professional..... but unfortunately the rest of my visit was not on the same level. I was told to be there 10 minutes before my appointment with a face covering and I was promptly on time only to wait in the waiting room for almost an hour past my appointment time. The prescreening and eye exam were exemplary but the very young girl who helped me finish with getting glasses was a mess. She didn’t know what she was doing. She quoted me prices that ended being wrong and she finally asked another associate for help and I was basically informed that all the information she had given me was WRONG. Upon leaving I also found out she measured me incorrectly for my provision glasses. This visit was topped off by $152 in additional out pocket costs on top of the already $200 dollars my insurance paid out. Denny apparently doesn’t offer budget friendly frames. Looking at my receipt I notice a $ 47 “optical tax” that is added to my cost..... then the best part is I am told it will be at least 2 weeks before I get my glasses... Wth???Denny vision appears to have advanced technology when it comes to eye exams but they are still in the 19th century when it comes to you actually getting the high priced glasses you have prepaid for.
This was my first experience at Denny Vision and everything was great, I did have to go back the next day to order glasses due to dilation. Dr. Hornsby was very nice and Larry my technician was very helpful. It did take about 2 hours, but they were starting up a new computer system and it was understandable, Thanks for a good experience.
I have been with Dr. Dan for years and won’t go anywhere else! My daughter is also his patient. Today’s visit was great as always. Melissa with Dr. Dan is so kind! Everyone in the office is nice and helpful. The young ladies at checkout were exceptional too! It was great experience overall. I think if there were one thing to tweak it would be the registration process. One window for a line of patients is not efficient. Clipboards should be ready with the papers common to everyone and the only thing that should have to be added should be the personal papers off the computer. Another window should take up the completed papers with the Insurance and ID cards. This would facilitate a smoother flow of information and patient readiness in a very busy office!
I saw Dr Smith and she was awesome. Everything was great except I went up to the desk after signing in after 30 minutes of waiting bc I wasnt given any new patient paperwork so Im not sure if they just hadnt gotten to me yet or what. But they were really helpful and I really liked Dr Smith .
Used to like Denny vision. This week 11/16/20 was terrible customer service. Day one, I tried to schedule an appointment, but their computer system was down. Day two, they would not answer my phone calls so I left a message and they didn’t call me back. Day three, was hung up on accidentally most likely, but I called back immediately and didn’t get an answer and I called back several other times and didn’t get an answer. Any one of these by themselves would’ve been one thing, but this was three days in a row.
This visit and every visit I had at this office was just fantastic. I would recommend anyone to go there. The Doctors are phenomenal and uses all of their knowledge to ensure that you get the best care possible. The staff is wonderful, polite and caring. Its just a well rounded great place for your eye care.
I bought a new pair of glasses and I had to go get some warranty work done on them and the prescription is not right. I called them and they told me to come whenever I got ready to and it will be done at no charge, so I went and saw Kristie at a repair desk and she wanted to charge me over $30 for warranty work that I was already told will be done at no charge but she insisted it will cost me over $30. Its warranty work, thats why its called a warranty because its not supposed to cost the consumer extra money when they need work done during the warranty period!!!

The staff was awesome!! My daughter and I received the best service and the courteous and patience they showed was outstanding! The lady helped us with glasses fit for my daughter and she was very professional and friendly and most of all very patient with her!! Very satisfied customer.
Everyone was courteous and professional. Took longer today than normal, but we understand because of the computers going down and being slow, it happens sometimes. The lady that got our lenses ordered was very helpful dealing with our insurance, we thanked her as we left.
Went in today for my yearly contact lens exam. Wait time was not long at all. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Dr. Jones was punctual and answered all my questions. Will definitely return.

Doctor Jones and his assistant Miss Barbara were so patient. I have a son with a different ability, and they took the time to listen to him, as well as be patient with him on testing. I appreciate their professionalism and friendliness with my son! When we got to the glasses part in the professionalism continued. We were greeted by Thalia a trainee who is learning and knows her job very well, she helped move us right along to finish up our visit. Thank you all so much!

Denny Vision is the most efficiently operated medical officeI have ever visited. They have, it seems, more than enough staff to attend to the multitude of patients they see. EVERY staff member is very cordial and knowledgeable about their job and appear to enjoy serving.

I arrived and had given my ID and insurance for check in. I waited maybe 10 minutes and Connie called me back for the preliminary testing. She explained everything that she was doing and asked questions to look for any issues I was having. She had me wait in another waiting area for them to finish processing my file and for an available room. Waited just a few minutes and she brought my ID back and start my eye exam. Then Dr Jones came in to complete the exam. He also asked questions and went over everything very thoroughly. Both were super nice and very professional! Great experience. This was the second time I saw Dr Jones and I would highly recommend. Connie just made the experience even better. Great team!!
I have been going to Denney Vision for all of my eye care for the past five years and have always been pleased. Ive never waited more than ten minutes to see my eye doctor, Dr. Jones. The nurses who conduct the preliminary tests are knowledgeable and friendly. Dr. Jones is thorough when examining my eyes and takes the time to listen to any concern I may have.I have replaced my frames a few times just to update them, that is where I have a problem - there are too many to choose from! There is a huge selection of frames, and I have always found a pair I love. I also purchase my sunglasses from Denney Vision. They have all the latest styles, and I love their selection of Ray Bans. Finally, if I ever need my glasses repaired, all I have to do is walk in the back door and sit down at the repair station. Instant service and Im on my way! Denney Vision is the best, especially Dr. Kirk Jones.
I have lived in area 7 years. I have gone to several optometry centers in Enterprise. Never pleased. I heard only positive things about Denny Vision so i thought i would try. Totally surpassed my expectations. Very large, bright, clean, professional, friendly and caring staff. The largest selection in frames in our area. Nice quality frames! Personal service in frame selection. I never felt rushed or pressured. Very personable business! I will be a long term customer.
Dr. Denney is amazing!! My vision situation is complicated; but he is always very thorough and patient! He assesses my current vision requirements; but is already addressing future concerns that may arise. I am very pleased and I know my vision is in good hands at Denney Vision!

This was my first visit to Denney Vision. I was impressed, as a walk in, at the speed of the appointment and having my glasses made. They were perfect start to finish.
Due to a change in insurance we needed to switch to a provider in-network. Dr. Denney did not thoroughly check my son’s eyes. When I noticed that his prescription was completely different than the previous year, I called and had to leave a message with a promise of a return call within 24 hours. I gave them 48 hours and still did not receive a phone call. I had to drive 35 minutes up there to get someone to talk to me. It was a horrible experience! I could not imagine what might have happened had I not noticed they did not even run tests for prism in my son’s glasses. It would have led to many complications in my son’s vision, including migraines. Dr. Megan Walker examined my son and tested for the prism when I took him back to ask for a refund. Dr. Walker would be the only Dr that I trust moving forward.
Arrived 15 minutes early as requested when appointment was made. Filled out required paperwork and was seen on time. Doctor was great determined I need cataract surgery.
Amazing experience!!!! Everyone is welcoming and wonderful. Their prices are high however if you have insurance it’s not bad at all. Will be going back and recommending to everyone I can!

This place could really use some coaching in customer service. My eye exam went just fine. I was seen promptly. Dr. Hornsby answered all my questions and eased some fears seeing it’s been 26 years since I had an eye exam. But getting the glasses was a whole different experience. The girl that helped me was obviously new so I tried to be patient and understanding. As I picked out frames and asked a few questions, she was helpful but hesitant. Meaning she didn’t know a lot. Upon checking out, she was giving prices for things like scratch resistant coating and such after insurance kicked in. Thought we were doing well until it came to pay for them. Someone else had to actually do the monetary transaction and the price came out way higher than previously discussed. Okay, newbie, I get it. So I said let’s just do the frames. Meaning take the extra stuff off. She charged me for the frames, I paid. The newbie was told to go find me a case. Wait. What? Newbie proceeds to put the glasses that were on display (twisted, bent and filthy with finger prints) into the case. So I’m paying $144 for those???? No. And the other girl didn’t see a problem with this. Finally we got things sorted out but come on people!
Overall my visit was good. My eye doctor Dr Maxwell is great. He is kind and answered all my questions. I would highly recommend him.However, The check out process took to long. There were 2 check out lines. I waited in my line 15+ minutes today. They didn’t ask who was next and I had to continue to stand behind the same customer the whole time while others were checked out over and over at the next clerk beside me. I would have just appreciated the clerks recognizing I had been waiting and letting me check out instead of taking new customers.

Great Optometrists. I always have a great experience when I come here. I visited 3 different optometrist mainly because I do walk-in and all were excellent.
The front desk is to the point and professional. Excellent! Gone, it seems, are the days when you had to wait for someone to help you because they were all huddled together checking out some employees new finger nail color. Or they acted like you were bothering them.Dr. Jones is patient, very caring, clearly answers questions with seemingly endless knowledge.The staff tasked with writing up your order enjoy an abundance of frames for you to select from. The experienced lab staff are excellent. Your glasses are generally ready in hours. Have a frame fitting issue months down the road?... the lab is ready and willing to tweek your frames and usually at no charge. After over 10 years of getting glasses refracted, made and fitted, I cant imagine going any place else.
Today was my 1st visit and I can say it was a pleasant experience. The staff was expediant, courteous, and very professional. I will say, for the patient load the staff experiences, I had fantastic care from the front desk to the check out counter. I had an emergency situation come up when I was renewing my drivers license. I needed an exam that day. My regular optometrist could not see me for 2 months. I called Denneys,explained my situation and they worked me in that day. Everyone is nice from the time you sign in until the time you leave. Loved the experience. I will be going to Denneys for all my visual needs.

Used Denney Vision for around 15 years, the past few years the people there has changed and instead of the personal feel I felt more like just another customer. Plus even on scheduled appointments I would spend half my day there and made it impossible for me to keep using them over that alone. Sadly had to swap providers.

It was my first time at Denney.Dr. Jones was great.Dana at check was very and so was Dr.Jones assistant .But after that everything went down.I went to pick my glasses the young lady there acted like she was rushing me .She came over to me 2 times asking if I was ready never asked me once if I needed help.It was my first time there and I didnt know that the numbers on the glasses was the prices.That has been 2 weeks and still dont have my glasses.I called up there this morning to check to see if they are in couldnt get anyone on the phone you so I left a message for them to call me .Still waiting for their call.
The staff was friendly, professional, and caring. Once I was called back it did not take long at all but I did have to wait almost an hour past my appointment time to be called.
I had to wait in line for about 10 minutes to even register. Only one person was registering patients at that time. Then I had to wait for the technician to talk a picture of my eyes. The room was full. I can’t fault Dr. Walker. She is tremendous, but overall management of the office is poor.
I was very satisfied with my decision to use Denny Vision! They got me back quickly, the staff was very friendly, and knowledgeable. I will definitely be returning and requesting Dr. Hornsby.
After numerous calls from Denney vision to reschedule my initial appointment due to the COVID-19 pandemic, today I was FINALLY able to go for my appt. Each time I was called, not once was I ever asked if Ive been out of the country in the last six months. However, they made sure to tell me each time they called that upon arrival I needed to stay in my car, call to notify them of my arrival and upon entering my temperature would be taken. So it was quite frustrating to me that I would be asked that TODAY and then be told I couldnt be seen because I had been out of the country in January. It would have been courteous/nice to have been asked that initially and this situation could have been avoided. When calling to make an appointment at most places, that is one of the first questions they ask - have you been out of the country in the last 30 days. Before leaving, I suggested to the young ladies that they should ask that question at the beginning of the call when scheduling appointments in the future; however, it didnt really seem to bother them that I was frustrated and my time was wasted on something that couldve been prevented had I been asked that back in March when they made the first call, of many calls, to reschedule my appointment.
I really enjoyed my visit today Mrs.Sally was so helpful. Even though I was a little difficult picking glasses she listened to both me and my daughter. Kayla was also helpful. Dr.Jones is one of the best eye doctors I’ve ever had. He took his time listened to both us. Thanks you guys see you’ll next year

Check in was nice. I was greeted nicely by the receptionist. Brook was very nice, courteous and professional. Dr. Walker was Awesome!!! Checkout staff could have been more people friendly but overall I had a great experience. I had my frames adjusted as well, which took about 25 minutes. I sat there for 10 minutes with no one acknowledging me. I waited an additional 15 minutes just to have my frames adjusted. This was a long time especially when that department wasn’t busy at all.
I was running very late for my appointment & called on my way to see if I needed to reschedule but was told to come on in. When I arrived the staff was very nice. I also did not have to wait long to be seen. Dr. Walker did her exam & we talked. Then she walked me over to the contact lens department where I was seen to right away. I tried on a pair on trial contacts. The fit was very comfortable right away. The lady that was helping me explained everything & answered any questions I had. I left there happy & satisfied.
Dr. Walker is an excellent, caring, patient-centered optometrist. Her and her staff were extremely kind and courteous throughout the entire visit. Overall, the visit was very pleasant and I feel confident in my choice in an eye care provider.
Once I got to see Dr. Maxwell, my service was fast, professional, and pleasant. I rated my visit a 3, because our appointment was at 1:30 and I did not see the doctor for an hour and forty five minutes. My visit to Denny Vision took my entire afternoon. Making me wait tells them your time is more important than mine. Makes me consider going somewsome else.
My wife and I are always seen very promptly and treated with expertise. We have always left, after our appointments, feeling as though we had been treated with great care; the staff frequently ask us if we have any questions about our care. We KNOW that they care about our health.

It’s such a great place to be be cared for. The techs, nurses and doctors are all very kind and knowledgeable about what they’re doing. They treat me with respect and consideration. I enjoy having my eyes cared for by Dr Hornsby.
Great friendly service. Only complaint I was not noticed when glasses were ready for pick up, and I was unable to reach anyone by phone. They may have been busier than usual though considering the day of the week my appt fell on. Would recommend if looking for a personable experience.
First time I had seen Doctor Jones but it was a comfortable appointment. My family and I have been going to DenneyVision for over thirty years, with our doctor being mainly Doctor Nichols.I would and have recommended DenneyVision to many people. Dr Maxwell is the best! He has been my Optometrist for 23 years and I have had excellent care. The staff was great. I was so pleased being in and out in less than 40 minutes. Also everything is on the computer & you do not have to resubmit all information on patient history. Only changes since last visit.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The doctor did a great job with the exam and they were all very helpful in assisting us in picking out glasses that were covered by our insurance.
They do not answer the phone. They do not return your calls. Their hours say open until 5 but I guess they dip out early because if you call past 3:30, no department will answer. I had double vision coverage and got a pair of glasses. I was told it was all covered by my insurance, except for around $75 of the frames (because my insurance only covers up to $100 on frames and their frames are not in that range). I paid the money up front. A few months later I received a surprise bill in the mail for the remainder of the glasses. I have tried calling billing, and they do not answer. I left them a voicemail and they will not return my call. I have tried contacting every other department, and no single department will answer.
I have used other eye care providers in the past but none have come close to the friendliness of the staff at Denney Vision. The service was prompt despite the office being busy. I would definitely recommend this company.
My first visit I received exceptional customer service. The receptionist greeted me with a smile, the optician was very friendly, the optometrist explained the exam very well along with genuinely listening to my questions. The technician was cordial and helped me with finalizing my order.Thank all of the staff at Denny Vision for a great experience.
Quick and easy check in. Pre check was informative and quick. Doctor was in and out and answered all my questions. Great choice for all your eye care needs.
Arrived for appointments early. We were taken to an exam room within about 10 minutes. Staff was helpful and friendly. Staff also did all they could to save us money. We were happy with our service.
Everyone there is always polite, courteous, & helpful. Recommend Denny Vision any time someone asks who I use for my eyecare.

Would have been five stars had I not been waiting over a month to get my prescription eyeglasses. Still waiting. If you need to see and get headaches from Dollar store glasses I would not recommend this Denney Vision.
Had my eye exam today . As I was signing in, I was told Dr. Nichols had retired and I would be seeing Dr. Jones . I was shocked and heartbroken!! Dr Nichols had been taking care of me for years! Well I was very impressed by Dr. Jones and his assistant’s! They took very good care of me ! Look forward to many years of eye care with Dr. Jones and his staff.
Call for appointment due to pain in my left eyeI was given a 1 oclock appointment to see DrDenny. He examined my eye found the problem and gave me meds to help. So grateful the Dr. could work me in. Could not have been treated any better. Dr. Denny and staff were very attentive to me and took wonderful care of me and I am thankful.
Everyone was great....the only thing I had a hard time with is trying to pick out frames and not being able to see well. So Ill go early next time and pick em out before they dilate my eyes. Lol And Dr. Kelly Smith was a very nice lady. Thank yall.
The best experience I’ve ever had, Dr. Denney was as nice and thorough as you’d want any doctor to be. Explained everything clear and easy to understand. The staff is very polite and helpful. Would definitely recommend to others.
