I normally dont write reviews for businesses on the web but after reading a couple of the comments below, I felt compelled to do so. Ive been doing business with Sabel Steel for close to 10 years now. Ive purchased steel from them both for my farm and for my Ag Shop(Im a Career Tech teacher). Ive always been treated with courtesy from the girls in the office. When I request a quote online, it is always received promptly no matter the size of the quote. Sometimes I have the metal delivered and sometimes I pick it up. Either way, the drivers delivering and the guys at Sabel loading are courteous and willing to go the extra mile for me. For those wanting smaller quantities, I would suggest looking at Sabels drop steel section. These are end pieces of steel that is left over from other customers cuts and can be purchased at a reduced rate. Sometimes Ill stop by Sabel and look at their drop steel to see if there is anything available I may use in the future. I hope this review is helpful to those looking for quality steel products whether youre a hobbyist or a large structural steel business.

My business has been buying from Sabel steel for years. The girls that work that are some of the most friendly and helpful people I have ever dealt with. They have a wide variety of steel products. If I call and they dont have an item I am needing they always go out of their way to locate it and get it to me quickly. Picking up at the plant is easy, quick and always pleasant. The delivery trucks come in a timely manner as well. The drivers are helpful and go over and beyond to get our steel delivered and unloaded. I found the folks here to be quite helpful. They are truly set up to serve large, industrial customers, but they will sell to hobbyists also. You have to remember that their products come in large sizes and there will be both a minimum order and a charge for cutting. This is standard among the large suppliers...when they will actually sell to small customers. If you need a foot then order at any number of online retailers or go to a big box store. If you need 60 of angle iron for a welding project then come here and save a lot of money over the aforementioned bog box stores.

Sabel Steel is one of the least helpful businesses that Ive encountered in this area. Not only are their prices ridiculous (I was charged $20 for 3 cuts in 1 tube steel), but they refuse to cater to anyone except the big businesses that purchase massive quantities. They have zero options for purchasing by the foot and will only sell in full 24 sticks. If you are a hobby welder or just like to do the occasional project in your spare time, STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!
