Pierce fence installed our aluminum fence last week. Every aspect of this purchase has been professional and and well communicated. The initial evaluation and proposal were well done and timely. Pierce handled all the details. Once the materials were available, a crew came out to map the exact location and work out any details. Once weather permitted, Josh and his installation team did a great job. They take real pride their work. They also did well communicating the expected time line. Very happy with how the fence turned out. Wish it had not taken as long for the install to occur, but there is not much to be done about high demand and uncooperative weather. My dogs were the primary reason for our fence and they love it. They can run around and see what is going on through the aluminium fencing. Would recommend Pierce Fence Co to anyone who asks.

I am writing to give 5 stars to Pierce Fence Company for such a prompt response to my critical review. I understand that their was an oversight on their part and the very fact they admitted it tells me about their professionalism. I look forward to working with them and experience all the good things said about them in other reviews.Below is my earlier critical review to which I got a response within an hour.I generally dont write poor reviews but this time I was really upset by the unprofessional attitude of the Pierce Fence Company.I had called the company in March to set up an appointment for fencing my yard at one of my properties.I specifically informed them to call me ahead of the visit for me to be present there to discuss the fencing options. Bob Came to visit the place however forgot to call me and inform me. Rather he came 35 minutes earlier than the scheduled time. I am a physician and was obviously busy seeing my patients in my office 5 minutes away. I did not know that he would come earlier than scheduled time and without informing me.Later he sent me an estimate by e mail. Obviously I had a lot of questions and wanted to discuss the fencing options at the site.I asked to see him again. He asked me to set up an appointment again and I was told that he was booked for next 3-4 weeks. I called their office again to set up an appointment but the office manager now askes for $35 charge for a second visit.I explained to her that in the first visit, Bob was supposed to call me ahead of the visit for me to meet him and he had forgotten to call me and rather came about 35 minutes before the scheduled time for the visit. So, it was not my fault that I could not meet him. Unfortunately she did not budge.I asked to talk to the owner but she neither gave me the owners contact information nor promised me to get me in touch with the owner.I am really appalled at their office policies that penalize a customer for no fault of his.Its not a question of just $35, its a question of Principles.

My man Josh and Will aka the puppy crew put together a beautiful fence and the professionalism and the craftsmanship that went into the fence cant go unnoticed. High speed and a great eye for perfection. Lets face it we all have that one neighbor that can be extra if you own dogs, we have 3 big dogs and our neighbor hates dogs. We had a chain link fence dividing our property and they had rose bushes along the fence line, I was told that I needed to train my dogs not to pee on the rose bushes I laughed and said Ill just put up a big fence and not have to worry about you. They completed my fence and while they were working a little dirt got in her yard and she was not a happy camper but, they picked it up and continued to work. They finished on Halloween and when people were coming to get candy everyone said that it was a great looking fence and one person said great fences make great neighbors couldnt be more true. 100% satisfied customer and 20 out of 10 would recommend this company to fix your neighbor bothering you or if you just want gates that work

Josh and his crew were great with the installion. He made a couple of suggestions to the layout of the fence and it turned out great . He and his crew were really meticulous and were done in 2 days. I cant thank them enough, great guys and dog lovers. Now our small dog can run free in the yard. The staff in the office are great and were easy to reach. The Sales Person was very knowledgeable and thorough and provided a quote within 24hrs. After setting up the appointment to installing the fence each step was scheduled and very responsive and punctual. I have not been dealing with them my wife has. Only issue is that they told us a time frame and we have gone past expected or said turn around time. They said six weeks it may end up being 8 or 9. Work has not been completed yet so I can not speak on the job yet. I have seen other jobs they have done and they seem to do a very good job. I will update once job is finished. It has been a pretty smooth process from what I seen. You can choose to have them do the permits or you can attain them your self. Once permits are complete Miss Utility comes out then the guy comes to mark everything out and then they install the fence.. So again it been pretty good so far

The owner himself came out to walk us through the initial estimate and fencing layout, which I appreciated. The project manager that finalized the layout was very knowledgeable and thorough. The construction team lead by foreman, Josh, did an awesome job with the fence. It looks amazing, the fence is super level even though our yard is quite bumpy, and they took a lot of care to keep dirt and mess to a minimum. I would highly recommend Pierce Fence to anyone who is looking to complete a fencing project.

The team at Pierce provided excellent customer service with several design changes on our part. The installers were punctual, courteous, and took great pride in their work! We were concerned that our beagle might be able to get under our fence and get loose, and the installers went the extra mile making sure that there was no way our dogs could find a way out. Highly recommend this company they did an awesome job, over 200 ft of vinyl privacy fencing done in just two days. It looks great and the gates work perfectly. Now my dogs have a fenced in yard to free roam which is a huge relief. An innovative idea that may be a good resource for the customers is if you guys had an app that showed a tracker on where your customers project falls that way customers can have a better idea on when to expect their fence. I know weather and holidays can be a major set back so to help customers see the bigger picture I think an app or website with a tracker showing their project and the projects in front of theirs would be neat. Pierce Fence Company is a very professional company and they did great work installing our back yard fence. We have received compliments from neighbors. We received other estimates that were a little cheaper, but what sold us is their 50 years in the business, seeing their work in the community and their five year warranty on our vinyl privacy fence when other companies were only giving a one year warranty on their work.

I recently had a PVC fence installed (Almond color) with Pierce Fence Company and would like to just let everyone know that from start to finish the communication, professionalism, and responsiveness was beyond my expectation. Please keep the office staff. They took the time to listen to my needs and filtered what could have been complaints by ensuring that each of my issues had a follow up. My fence went up in no time. The guys worked very efficiently but we were off schedule due to weather changes. Upon install my fence was not leveled. I was less than pleased with this and when the problem arose Bob Sr. took the time to personally correct it. I am relieved that he took the time to personally handle the situation. Now my German Shepherd has a beautiful fenced area of almost 200ft to run around without a worry in the world. Thank you for making my fence dream a reality.

After gathering many quotes from several different fence companies we decided to hire Pierce to replace our chain link fence with a new privacy pool fence around our pool. We are so glad that we did! Joe and his one man crew did a outstanding job putting in our shower enclosure today here in Smyrna, De. Joe call the day before telling us he will be at our house around 8:30 to start the project and was here on time. Joe answer all our questions. I like everything about Pierce Fence. A man from Pierce came to my house upon request and really listened to what I wanted. You know there are lots of options and lots of companies who do this. I had cheaper and more expensive offers than Pierces, but Pierce know their stuff, and, like I said, they listen to what you want. Some of the other companies sent out hot-shot salesmen to give me the estimate, but I really felt that the Pierce guy was laid-back, knowledgeable and honest. When they came out to do the work, the two guys were hard workers and very precise about everything. They sank the posts in at least three feet of cement! No cutting corners for them, and one of the guys checked and double checked the straightness of the fence in every way. They almost got it done in one day, but had to come back for a short time the next day to finish the job.I almost forgot to mention the girls in the office who promptly answered all my questions via email. Absolutely LOVE the railing that was installed on our front porch. The installers were friendly and very helpful with problem solving. I recently hired Pierce Fence to install a new fence after a recent storm knocked my old one down. Had a slight problem where my building permit was delayed due to some issues between their firm and the town I live in. Their crew did an outstanding job in building my fence and it looks great. I am very surprised that no one followed up on the install, as most owners check to make sure the customer was satisfied with the work.( to add to this, I did get an email follow up shortly after my review which speaks volumes to the type of business they really are!!).

Outstanding customer service! We requested a quote from them and several other companies. The companies through Home Depot & Lowes were ridiculously overpriced, even when we went through the companies directly. A horrible interaction with “The fence Authority”, I DO NOT recommend them. It’s like he didn’t want to be at our home and want our business.The owner of Pierce came out and surveyed our property the next day. I normally do not go with the cheapest, but this man was able to answer every one of my questions without hesitation. I felt he really knew his business and could get the job done right without rework.They had the best price for a 6ft vinyl privacy fence. It also had detailed character, which the other companies did not. The others were just basic white and flat. They have numerous options to choose from and we knew we had made the right choice.Hands down, this family owned and operated company is the best choice in Dover and the surrounding areas. Pierce Fencing installed a 4 vertical picket vinyl fence with 1 single gate, and 1 double, racked, gate. Its absolutely beautiful!! In my head, I imagined it would be lovely, and really complement the vinyl railing our builder put around our deck and stairs, but in actuality, its stunning. Weve already had several neighbors stop us in the yard to find out who to call about getting an estimate. Karen, Bob Sr and Bob Jr were great about working around our construction schedule and closing date, so that the fence could be started on the day we closed on the house. The crew was courteous, professional, and exacting in the lengths they went to, to make sure the fence was exactly as it should be. They worked with the slope of the property, including suggesting, and building, a racked gate, to create this beautiful line that compliments the house perfectly. We could not be happier or more impressed with the finished product, and highly recommend doing business with Pierce.

We called them to make an appointment for an estimate, they never came so we measured ourselves and had them write up an estimate for us. The lady on the phone told us that she would send our information to a man named Bob and they would send us an email with an estimate. Never got an email or a phone call back. So, 6 days later we called them to find out what the estimate was, they didnt have any information on our estimate. So my husband retold them what we wanted. When we got the estimate back, it was for the wrong style fence and number of gates. After that, my husband contacted them AGAIN for the the correct information. 3 days later, still no phone call or email back. I guess that dont want our business.

This company is horrible to the people they employ that are not related to them, they promote a work environment of tension and distrust and even threaten to fire employees if they don’t try to pry in to other employees lives and report back to them. They offer no incentive to work there even to employees that have been loyal to them for years while not being paid adequately for their performance. The owner tries to turn employees against each other and promises raises only to fire employees when it’s time for the raise to be applied.
