Great little place for Great ice cream, sundaes, hard serve, soft serve, yogurt ice cream, frappes, specialty drinks, hot dogs and even Lobster rolls(but not now as Lobster prices are so High)! Also can get a Pint or Quart of your favorite flavor! Great friendly staff! My go to spot when I get my crave on! The Peanut Butter Paradise is unbelievable!!!! Nothing Better than the Dover D!

First time visitor last night. I had Peanut Butter Paradise. Had to try it with my name being in the flavor. Glad I did! That was the best peanut butter based ice cream Ive ever had! Also the amount given was quite generous and the service was quick.

Decent ice-cream shop. My opinion is that the portions are too big, but is just my preference. When I want a little snack even the smallest portion is big. Some times the lines to get ice-cream are quite long, get ready to wait. On the other hand good location and nice staff.

I got a smoothie and my friend got the vanilla ice cream. She told me it tasted gross and proceeded to throw it out. But the workers were super nice.

Most of the time I would say Dover Delight get 5 stars but not today. Today might be one of those days when the staff wasnt at their best. Today the staff wasnt very personable and they were very short with my toppings.I will go back because most of my experiences have been good, but Ill be paying attention going forward.

When in New Hampshire, at Spring, Summer or Fall, stop by this little ice cream mine, whether for a cone, a cup, a pint or a gallon, their ice cream is made with natural ingredients with plenty of flavors for every palate. My favorite flavor is chocolate, but their pumpkin with walnuts is to die for. The kid who tend to customers are super attentive, joyful and wonderful.

Always a long line but it moves quickly. Very generous portions. They have hard and soft serve from Shanes of Maine. Reminds me of historic Loan Oak in Rochester but without the trees.

Absolutely delicious. Tons of flavors, great selection, and enormous proportions. Not a ton of seating, but plenty of parking and room to roam around. Id suggest getting cups for any kids cones, theres so much ice cream, even in the kids size, that it melts and will fall off without a cup as backup.

For the price, considering the portion sizes, this place is a good deal. However, they got the order wrong and from what I heard from other patrons during my brief time in line thats pretty common. So we ended up with tornado instead of confusion, and frankly tornado wasnt very good. It was a bunch of candy and cookie dough pieces loosely held together by ice cream, which sounds great, but unfortunately the sum is less than its parts. Mostly, the cookie dough was bland and flavorless and the other flavors were just too much.

It was our first time here. We were impressed by the service and the ice cream is delicious. It is obviously a popular place, judging by the long line which the three person staff managed amazingly.

Block out plenty of time, you are going to have to wait. It takes awhile, even once you order you are going to be there a bit. I will say that you get a good amount for the prices so they have that going for them.My chief complaint, other than the wait, is something that I never thought I would actually complain about. But they put TOO MUCH stuff in their ice cream. I got the confusion, which is a little bit of everything. And while true to it’s name, it isn’t really ice cream. Once you have passed the 1 to 1 ratio of stuff to ice cream, it’s really just candy that happens to have some ice cream. As a child I would have DIED for this place. What child doesn’t really want a cup full of candy? But as an adult I would actually like to have more than just candy. I actually want some ice cream. And I am guessing it is the norm because I have had the confusion twice and both times it had whole pieces of chocolate, giant cookie pieces and golf ball sized hunks of cookie dough. That is not an exaggeration, they were HUGE.It was too much. Three bites in I had to stop. I started trying to carve the ice cream off of the cookie dough meteors to eat. I then started pulling the cookie dough out. After half way through I gave up and put it in the freezer. I’m going to buy a pint of vanilla and try and mix it together myself.

Great ice cream place! Highly recommend Maine Tracks flavor. It has swirls of fudge, and chunks of Reeces Peanut Butter Cups. It is usually busy, especially after 5pm, but the wait isnt too long. Note to customer: Ordering a small is a good amount of ice cream for the price. Ordering a large is an overwhelming amount of ice cream, but oh so good!

Great Shanes of Maine ice cream. Huge serving sizes. The kiddie size on a plain cone is as large as most large sizes at other ice cream shops. Fast friendly service too.

I love ice cream so I take this review seriously. Their ice cream is average to poor and sizes are too big/expensive. A kids size is more like a medium (2+ servings/scoops) and is way too much ice cream. They need a smaller size for $2.50 or something unless they want our kids getting fat 😮. The service is also a bit sloppy and sometimes slow though the employees are nice.When you eat pretty healthy with not much refined sugar but love ice cream, anything more than a decent scoop can leave you feeling slightly sick--as you do when you eat too much ice cream. Please add a smaller size.

I love this little shop!!! Its right beside my daughters dance studio and we enjoy Dover Delite so much weve made ice cream dates our ritual after dance class. The pricing is fantastic for the amount of food you get and its all delicious. Ive loved everything Ive tried. The service is amazing; employees always go out of their way to make it a pleasant experience. My family and I will drive an extra 20 minutes and pass three other ice cream shops to come here. So worth it!

This is a seasonal ice cream favorite when I am on foot in the downtown area of Dover. I have been going here for no less than 15 years and have never left unhappy. Try it if you find yourself nearby during the summer.

After waiting in line for awhile, we finally ordered. When we got our ice cream after another long wait, the small was huge (which I can appreciate) but the flavor was not what I ordered. I got the confusion flavor but it only had cookie dough and m&Ms despite what the description said. I also didnt like the flavor.

I got a hot dog and it was cold on an untoasted bun. I know the buns dont *have* to be toasted but yea. Wasnt too impressed with the cold hot dogs though. Also out of ketchup so I just went home and remade the entire thing myself lol.Edit - I went last week 6-5-20. Ordered a BANANA split, no banana. Constantly disappointed here. Do not reccomend.

VERY generous serving! They dont play around like brusters! Here you order a small and its like a large at brusters and the falcons are way better.
