We were last minute hurrying trying to find a back tire for our bike. We last minute decided to go on my Dads benefit ride. We called several shops including local and not so local Harley shops looking for this tire. I called Owen. I explained to him what was going on and what we were trying to do. He said I have a few of those tires on stock and with a little hesitation, because its 10 am on a Saturday morning, he said he could also mount and balance. I have known Owen for 15-20 years, and he didnt know who I was before I got there. He came outside, seen who it was,my Dad used to work for Owen at Big Open Road. I walked up and hugged Owen and told him thank you and how much we appreciated what he was doing for us. He treated me just like he did when I would go to visit my Dad when he worked there. Owen went above and beyond to help is out so we could make my Dads ride. I would recommend anyone take their bike to Owen for tires or any other service needs.!
Ive known Owen layman for about 20 years hes a straight shooter when it comes to fixing Japanese bikes and Harleys good guy I take my Harley there
Amazing fellas to deal with great selection of aftermarket parts for Harley plus metric hell also order u anything u need plus great tire selection an great conversation I I enjoy Owen an his sons very much an will continue to support them aamuch as possible
I have taken my Bike to Lehmans for 4 years now. Ive Never had any thing but Awesome Truthful experience with This Shop. he is Fair in his dealings. .. I store my bike there Every winter. He covers my babe with a blanket. Changes the oil and Filter. Cleans the air filter. Keeps the battery Charged and puts Sta-bil in the tank. one price. Every year NO exceptions. Plus a price I can handle.
Great place to find good parts that are not nearly as expensive as the Harley shop. If you are in the market for parts or riding accessories (especially helmets) and dont want to pay a small fortune this is the place to go. This isnt a huge place so some items may need to be ordered but they carry about the same amount of stock as the Harley shop.
Ive been dealing with Owen for 30years and hes never steered me wrong.
Have known the owner for years (worked on my Dads motorcycle when I was a kid)
Had Lehmans mount and balance a Harley tire for me. Im a mechanic, so I do all of my own work, but not tires. He removed the rear sprocket from the rim, cause his obsolete tire machine wouldnt remove the tire with the sprocket attached. Most all cycle shops have machines that will remove that tire without taking the sprocket off the rim. Not Lehmans!!!!! To make a long story short while is was merging on the highway, all 5 rear sprocket bolts sheared off inside the rim at normal driving conditions. Lehmans improperly reinstalled the rear sprocket to the rim, either over or under tightening the 5 sprocket bolts. This caused a junk rim and sprocket, on top of the fact that I was lucky to be alive. He refuses to take any responsibility and make it right with me. He is a liar, and a shadetree mechanic at best, Please trust me, dont take your business here. Worst experience of my life.
Gal could get off her butt to help find a price on a helmet. Told me the pictures are on the box go look. So I went to Canton and spent 500 and some change and bought my sons birthday present.
Was a customer until they tried to charge me $100 to put a tire on. Everyone else was $50 if it was still on the bike and 25 if you brought in the rim by itself. I will find my merchandise elsewhere.
I recently had my Honda Foreman ATV serviced with Big Open Road. Frankly, I am not very happy. I believe that I was WAY overcharged for servicing the carburetor.I was charged 4 hours labor for cleaning the carburetor - no parts. I had it disassembled and reassembled myself and maybe not as thoroughly clean, but in way less time. I had asked them to take a look at several things, which they did, but did not fix them either; they just pointed them out to me. Things I already knew. Moreover, when I rode it last the electric start worked fine and it was returned to me in non-working order. I was also surprised to learn that they did not know where the rubber cover over the carb went. I put it on myself in 5 minutes.I believe that in the time the carburetor was soaking and the battery was charging, they could have at least adjusted the brake cables and trouble shot the starter, as well as other routine maintenance.I have seen this before where a wordy business man comes up with talk and justifies bills with words rather than action. And the horror story with Big Open Road continues. After riding my allegedly repaired ATV only twice, the carburetor failed exactly as before. I called Owen about it only to be told that he does not guaranty his work and that I was out of luck. Finally, he told me to stay off his property. This coming from a business man that claims to conduct his business according to Christian principles on the website.I posted my terrible experience with this business on my Facebook page and ATV rider group and watched my inbox fill will similar stories of being ripped off and treated rudely by business owner Owen Lehman.
I had a gift card for there that said on it never expires and they refused to take it. I guess they they think they can change the rules when they feel like it. I will never go back
Poor quality work and treats customers with store credit like they are 2nd rate. Purchased Harley gaskets for an 81 Shovelhead and the primary gasket was in pieces before I got it home, probably put on the gasket display in 1982... Wont be purchasing anything else from the store or having anything worked on by them either. A definite thumbs down👎!
Great little shop good prices and knowledgeable owners and staff
In my opinion this shop is a scam. I would give it 0 stars if possible. I called and asked if they worked on kymco bikes (they are a kymco dealer) they said yes bring it it. I drop the bike and wait 1.5 weeks with no call. I called in and the owner tells me if i want to know whats wrong with the bike i have to make a deposit. I asked what the total cost of the repairs would be and he said that he wouldnt troubleshoot the bike unless i put a deposit down. I didnt mind paying a diagnostic fee if i didnt have the work done at the shop but he refused to even look at the bike until i paid him. No deposit was discussed or described on the phone prior to me dropping the bike. He has a very poor attitude. In my opinion he is running a bait and switch scam having people spend time and money getting a bike to his shop then asking them to make a deposit just to look at it.
Nice service had the parts I needed
I have been going to this guy for years, very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I have Harleys and the local dealers service dept is not helpful.
I took them 2 Harley tires and wheels to have new tires installed. Both were rears, one Dresser, one Sportster. I get the tires home to install and the Sportster was installed backwards. Took it back and he complains that he didnt know it was a Sportster and that the sprocket is on opposite side as the Hog is. He changed it to the correct direction, another day of wait of course. Then the tire goes flat every three days. Do not deal with this place, its actually dangerous!
Great service! Very nice to deal with.
Fast and helpful service very knowledgeable. However; several of my friends have received bad service.
They will say they have done work an not had very bad service out them confronted them bout it an saying basically saying not there fault do not recommend for in Eng or carb work said they pulled an cleaned ran worse when got back form them than when i took it in took it straight to another shop they rebuilt carb runs great now they are a scam
Anything you need! Stores packed with parts, accessories, clothing.
Went here looking for rain gear. We found what we needed .cant beat the prices. We will go back. The owner was very kind.
