Friendly sales and service. Though I dont feel that I was fully heard when it came to determining what size of frame fit me best. They felt they knew better than I did what size of bike I needed / wanted.

Great service department, my work was done post-haste. The service department explained all my options and my costs up-front. I received an email the day after my visit that my work was completed. My daughter came with me to check out the Trek bikes and the salesman that worked with her fitted her to a great bike for her. She and I are very happy with the service and the costs. I would highly recommend this bike shop!

I love this place! Purchased a bike from State Bicycle, searched somewhere near me where they assemble bikes. Read the reviews and decided to take it here! Told me it was gonna be a 2-2.5 weeks but it was faster than I thought! Friendly & welcoming staff! Def would recommend! I’m recommending for friends & family if they need a bike assembled! I was heading out on a week long bike trip and when I discovered by Trek Madone had a cracked frame. At the last minute, I borrowed my fathers Madone, but this bike had been sitting in the garage for a few years due to his declining health. Trek at Downers Grove performed some needed repairs (new tires, tubes, speedometer, and new shifting cables at the last minute. I received prompt and helpful service. I had a great week of biking due to their ability to provide me with their expert service.I have shopped at this Trek store for years and I always receive great personalized service.

Salesman who also happened to be the owner, was very knowledgeable and attentive. Even though I went in as a novice rider, he made me feel very comfortable and didnt try to upsell unnecessary items.

Your staff pointed out that my pedals were covered by a recall and promptly replaced them. Your mechanics are the best! They diagnosed and fixed a problem with my handlebars on the spot.

So June of 20 is not an ideal time to buy a bike, b/c just about everyone else had the same idea and things are pretty picked over. But the stars aligned and this shop, the closest one to me, had exactly the gravel bike I wanted to try. Ron helped me out in the store, walked me through trading in my old carbon road bike, and I left a very happy customer. Im thrilled to have purchased locally and have somewhere I can go nearby for maintenance. Im still on a new bike high.As for the shop itself, I appreciated how they handled social distancing both when I went to look and when I came back to pick up the bike. Both trips, a Friday and Saturday, the shop was busy but there was a lot of staff around to help and answer peoples questions. Its not the ordinary circumstance (hopefully), but they were doing everything in their power to help people while staying safe. Very impressive.If this is the shop experience in terrible times, Im looking forward to coming back when things are a bit more normal. You might not get as lucky as I did in terms of the bike youre looking for but this is a great shop.

I got a new bike seat from this location and I am completely satisfied. I went through a trial and error process for the perfect seat with a great and experienced salesman, Nick, who was very patient with installing all the seats and taking them off when I said they were uncomfortable. As I was waiting for all the installations I noticed how the rest of the team was very warm and inviting with the rest of the customers, including families with young children. Online inventory system was great, which led me to this location. Store associates were knowledgeable and helpful upon purchase and pickup of bike. Lots of accessories in stock and they even installed them for us. Top notch accross the board.

Came in Sunday 6/7/21 and was attended to by Leo. Leo said that he did not want to install my tubeless tires because my wheels did not have a sticker that indicated that they were tubeless compatible. I thought he would do a little bit of research, but he brushed me to the side and started helping other customers. I asked him to show me a rim in the store that had the sticker he mentioned and he pointed to a bike that did not have the sticker. To my point, I explained to him that although the sticker might not be present, that the rim was still tubeless compatible. He then said that he did not want to waste his time in case the tubeless tire did not work. He did not even bother to inspect the rim. I don’t understand how it is a waste of time to Leo who works for and represents Trek.I then went to The Great Little Bike Shop down the street and the mechanic inspected the rim from the inside and told me that it would work! They installed my tires and are working perfectly!This experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth and I will never do business with Trek again, because no one else in the store bothered to show interest in my service repair.

I needed help to get my entire family fitted for bikes, a few accessories, and also had two different locations to deal with. The store manager, Ken, and his entire sales team spent almost two hours with us teaching about which styles and sizes of bikes made sense and also ensured that the delivery and construction were in the locations needed. WONDERFUL SERVICE!

Ive purchased 3 Treks here. My oldest bike is now 16 years old, and has had new tires, brakes and general tune-ups done here. Great service.On Friday, I took my 13 year old son there for his dream bike. They sized him and he chose a color/model. However, due to Covid supply-chain issues, they would not have the one he wanted for 6 months (therefore missing the whole summer).The sales rep pulled up other dealers in the area with the bike in stock, and I ended up driving about an hour to get the bike. Great cooperation between Trek dealerships, and the DG Trek store will continue to get all of my maintenance business.Really great service--they made my son happy, even though they didnt get the immediate sale. However, he needs some accessories (lights, seat, phone holder), and we will head over to Trek on Ogden to get those!

This is the best, not just the best but THE BEST place to purchase a new bike. Service is fantastic and people working there are the greatest. All sales people have patience of saints. Have purchased 3 bikes from then and will continue to do so, along with service issues.

Aside from the great bike coming in earlier than expected, the service we received from your employees was amazing and will keep us coming back! When picking up my sons bike I mentioned to Ron that my son was nervous and I wished they offered bike riding lessons (my son is still learning to ride and this bike is bigger). Ron took the time to go outside with us and help my son get started riding. He was encouraging and thoughtful. Ron also gave me some tips on helping my son at home to boost his confidence. By simply taking a few extra minutes, Ron made an already good experience even better!

They fixed the problem that I was having with my bike. No run around. No hassle. Fast, friendly service at a decent price. In and out fast turnaround all in all a great experience. This is how a bicycle service department should be run. Keep up the good work guys! A+Update: Had another issue that required a part to be ordered that was on back order everywhere. Jim and the rest of the service crew went above and beyond to get my bike fixed. They actually took the part from another bike and used it on mine. They will then at some point when the part arrives have to do then repair that bike essentially doing the repair twice! Just to get my mike operational. Who does that? With all the disruptions in supply chains theses days I could have been without a bike for weeks. If you ride as often as I do it is nice to have a bike shop that has your back. This one has mine!

After trying to fix my bicycle gears myself spending hours with no progress being made, I decided to bring it to the professionals. Fast turn around time on the repair and Conner was able to get it shifting like new again. I’ve been there once -in July 2020- to have 20 year old tires and tubes replaced on four bike wheels. They were very busy, but got to me quickly, and completed the job rapidly while I waited. I asked for help on a couple of repair questions, and received really helpful advice in a friendly way. The quality of the work seemed very good. They had the supplies I needed. Cost of repairs was reasonable. The shop is clean attractive, and makes me want to return.

I absolutely love the way my Trek bike performs. The efficient and knowledgeable service team takes excellent care of our family bikes.

They did an excellent job raising my handlebars. It ended up requiring recabling the disc brakes and gear shifters, and retaping everything. Beautiful job, and the bike is way more comfortable for me.

They are very thorough and they explain and teach alot.

They always have what I need or can get it quickly if it is an unusual part. The guys are very friendly and know the answers to all my questions. It is my one stop bike shop!!

We purchased a used bike from a neighbor specifically because of the brand but it needed a little help. The service team worked quickly to diagnose and fix the issue we were having and the customer service was outstanding! This was our first visit to a Trek store and I was very impressed.

My wife and I visited Trek Bicycle in Downers Grove to purchase new riding helmets. This was our first visit. The staff was very helpful and the selection was very good. They carry a wide variety of bike accessories as well as new bikes. Definitely plan to visit again to purchase a new bike.

I made a mistake and forgot that I had left my bike at the shop for repairs a LONG time I was so grateful that they held it as long as they did and were kind enough to not charge me an arm and a leg for the inconvenience. I really was so appreciative of their understanding and kindness! And it was such a relief to be able to take my kids on a family bike ride on a perfectly fixed bike. We are a trek family for life!

With limited bike available this Trek store in Downers Grove had just what I was looking for. They size CB me up into a Verve 1 XL and the manager Ron was very accommodating to what I was asking him. I really wanted to get into biking and I went in there with no idea where to start. The guy walked me through the different types they had, fitted me and when it arrived.... match made in Heaven. I love my Dual Sport. Worth every penny.

I bought a Thule platform bike rack from these guys. Got home. Opened it. And the thing legit looked like it was used dropped and dragged down a highway. None of the price tags said used. The receipt didn’t say used and none of the associates told me it was used. Definitely returning it. Hopefully they will fix this, will update if they do.But otherwise very friendly and helpful.

Great experience. I was greeted very politely and directed where I needed to go for my specific needs. Definitely a different experience during the covid-19 pandemic. This store is dialed in with regards to masks and social distancing. The service crew discussed truing my MTB wheels. They were completely open and honest with the turn around time due to the amount of volume they had. Greatly appreciated. Kudos to everyone getting out and about on their bikes, and Kudos to Trek for keeping everyone rolling. In the spirit of getting me back on the bike they took it one step further. We discussed which tool I was going to need and gave me a brief tutorial on how to perform a basic truing at home. Of course they did not need to do this and did not charge me for the professional advice. Again, greatly appreciated. This was not my first time visiting this store and it certainly won’t be the last. Thanks again!

I have bought multiple small items (helmet, water bottle) over the last few months. I was interested in a new bike, but with inventory low, I had to purchase it at another shop an hour away. I was having problems with the seatpost and brought it in for repair. Even though I did not buy the bike at this shop, I was taken care of quickly and efficiently. Cannot say enough about the service department! Thank you!

Ron did a great job of helping me find the right bike for me. He answered all my questions and helped me understand the differences between the two bikes I was choosing between. Then when the bike I bought in store was bought online before me(which I was pretty upset about), he helped me right away with getting a new bike. They made sure to get me what I was looking for in the correct size, and I even got it right away. Despite the screw up, they made up for it in customer service. I love my new dual sport and can’t wait to take it back to Trek of Downers Grove for any tune ups or repairs!

Weird service. When I was looking for a bicycle, they told me that they had just ordered a whole batch and the next day I can pick up my bicycle, offered to leave 50% deposit and pay the rest of the balance the next day and pick up the bicycle.As a result, there has been no bicycle for a week, when I called the store they said that the bicycle was delivered to them, and when I arrived they said that it was not delivered yet and I need to wait 1-2 weeks(in the best scenario ).Their goal is apparently to take a deposit, and then make the client wait, calling for new dates.I would not recommend this store for your purchaseUpdates:After they couldn’t fulfill the conditions on which they wanted to sell the bicycles, they decided to call and ask to change the review(really? Is it how do you get only positive reviews? You ask people or buy reviews?)The only one solution they found was return me the money for the purchase and send me to another store and purchase there, because they could not sell me the bike for which I left a deposit.!!!Do not waste your time on this store, they will take a deposit, spend your time, and then send it to another store...

Bought a bike from them in February and had a great experience. I went there the other day and was very disappointed. They had a sign on the door that stated limited walk-ins welcomed and to please wait for assistance. A sales man saw me waiting at the door and I waved to him. 30 minutes later im the idiot still standing at the door waiting. Ended up leaving and taking my buisness elsewhere. I saw no other customers in the store and at very least staff could of informed me on any unusual wait time. Im fine going somewhere else next time.

I walked in and was immediately approached by a helpful, professional employee in a Trek polo. I was directed to the exact helmet I wanted. The employee went into the back, found the size I asked for. I immediately went to the registers and paid. No hassles. The shop also appeared spotless and well organized. Everytime I visit this store I am treated with respect. The staff is always pleasant and they listen to my needs and wants. This location has a wide range of bike options. It is very clean and not cluttered with a 1000 bikes all over the place like some other places I have been too. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and not pushy.

Helpful advice. The staff member actually talked me out of spending hundreds of dollars on wheels and tires which was the right answer, and told me how to maximize my current setup. I am still struggling with my tubeless setup. It’s not the nirvana I had come to expect from what i have read and heard. There’s a big learning curve. Hopefully I’ll figure it out. Thanks!

Horrible place, rude salesman, if you dont look nice and speak good English dont go there, they judge you right away and treat you like a nothing.My husband went there, wearing his painting outfit, he wanted to look at the bikes to decide which one to buy,they didnt let him in the store even though he was waiting in the line for 20min wasting his time.Not worth even 1 star.So disappointing.
