Awesome shop, the service is excellent and it gets cooler visually every time I come in as a bonus. Kameko has gone above and beyond for everything she’s done for me. She spent a long time exchanging emails to figure out what would be best for me, and when I first went in she took time to mark up both my ears with where she thought different piercings would look and heal best based on my anatomy which was really awesome and informative.I got a double helix that’s been healing wonderfully with zero issues, and when one fell out she was able to get me in same day to try to save it, and she succeeded in saving it! Even after that I’ve had no scarring or complications. She was very gentle and mindful to minimize pain. She’s clearly knowledgeable while also being an absolute delight to interact with, definitely the best piercer I’ve been to in the area. Her prices also can’t be beat in my experience!She’s also ordered custom jewelry from Anatometal for me and was great with communication through the whole process. I genuinely can’t think of a single negative thing to say about my experience with Kameko or Skin Gallery! Thank you!

I recently went to katmeko to change my nose stud to a hoop. I am forever going to go to her!! She has pierced my nose and helix and I plan on get a couple more in the future and I will 100% go to her! She has such a sweet and gentle demeanor and it really helps relax you and easy you. She is very professional and clean and very fast with answering any questions. I would also recommend her to anyone. My mom loves my hoop so much she Now wants a hoop 🤗 So maybe making another appointment soon!

I got my nipples pierced and Im in love with them. She was the best I could ask for, she walked me through the process. Her voice was pleasing and relaxing; I wasnt nervous until the second one was pierced bc my body knew the pain. Kameko did two piercings for me today and she was professional and sweet from the initial appointment request through the actual piecing. I went in to get an industrial piercing. The shop was very clean and professional, and took sanitation very seriously. She was super nice and very helpful with the whole process. I found their prices to be quite reasonable too. I would recommend it very much.

I had Kameko repierce my lobes and add doubles in two days ago and was so happy and pleased with the entire session. She is extremely knowledgeable and talked me through the entire process. I have already recommended her to several friends and will not fail to do so in the future. The pricing was reasonable and i am still in love with the piercings as I was when I got them. If you are considering to come here for a piercing - I highly recommend it!!!

I got my daith done yesterday by Kameko and it was a great experience! She took her time explaining everything to me, even made some great suggestions for what would look good on my ear. We were unsure whether I could even get my daith done, so she took a look and made sure we could do it safely rather than just doing it like some piercers would. I highly recommend her and Im definitely coming back!

I went as a walk-in to get upper lobe piercings. it wasn’t busy since it was around 5pm and the woman at the front desk (I can’t remember her name!) was very friendly and made me feel right at home.Mike had me come back within about 5-10 minutes and he was awesome! He made sure they were even, he took his time, and he is also very nice. It’s super clean in there, which of course is always good.I think I was out of there in 25 minutes and the piercings look great! I’ll definitely be going back there for any other ones I get.

I came in for a piercing and had Mike with an apprentice helping. Super helpful in placement of my helix and helping explain why he suggested something different than what I wanted. Turned out better than what I had planned. I ended up bleeding a lot and they handled it like champs. Def going to be coming back for all my piercings.

I’ve been wanting my nose pierced for a few weeks and had no idea where to go. Well after seeing reviews on here about skin gallery, I had to go! Most reviews mentioned a guy named mike, and when I called he ended up being the one working today. He talked me through the procedure, eased my nerves, and walked me through aftercare! When my friend and I showed up we were welcomed by kamiko who was equally as amazing! She explained everything to me very thoroughly! The piercing went really well and I’d definitely go back!EDIT: I should probably add that the first nose stud he put in for me was too big for my liking, and he offered to change it for me, walked me through what that would feel like, and kept me calm through the nerve wracking process. All in all I was in the chair for about 10 minutes and 8 or so of that was friendly conversation!ANOTHER EDIT: stupidly decided to take my stud out after two months and liked the hoop, but couldn’t get the corkscrew stud back in. After a few minutes of freaking out, I called and kamiko said she’d be more than happy to help me out. Drove over there, she helped me put it back in and took her time explaining everything once again. She’s amazing!

Just got my septum pierced here. I was super nervous as it was my first facial piercing (I only have my ears done). Mike was my piercer and he did an excellent job. Absolutely minimal pain, the piercing is very straight, and he was very calming and demonstrated great sanitation practices. Absolutely would get another piercing done here.

(nose, daith, doubles, triples & tragus.)The shop is always clean, and the staff is ALWAYS friendly.When it comes to piercings, Kameko & Michal always take the time to explain everything that’s going on. What type of jewelry, the type of needle, aftercare, etc. They make you feel super comfortable during the process and they’re both super patient.I would 100% recommend coming here for your piercing needs!!!

Brought my daughter to get a smiley peircing. Michael was amazing. My daughter ended up feeling a little woozy afterwards. Michael and the young lady from the front really took care of her and made sure she was comfortable. They really went above and beyond to make her feel better. I would recommend them to everyone.

So happy I could put my full trust in him to do such an incredible job at giving me something Ill adore forever, especially such a gorgeous, big piece such as this one. It speaks for itselfAlways have a wonderful experience when coming in. I had a micro dermal, tragus, and daith piercing done by Michal and Kameko and all were relatively painless and quick. Kameko is really good about informing you about aftercare, any questions you may have, and very well-educated about the entire process and in general. Ive found my go to spot for piercings and hopefully someday a tattoo!

Came here just to get my nose piercing changed to a hoop. Overall, it was a nice experience and seemed like a nice shop; however, my problem was that the hoop I was given was not real gold. It was gold plated and ended up infecting my nose because the plated gold rubbed off. It’s my fault I didn’t ask if it was 100% gold, but it’s kind of irritating that they would even sell something of that sort. It’s been over a month and it’s finally starting to look better.UPDATE: it’s been just about 3 months since I got my nose ring from here, and my nose still isn’t completely healed. PLEASE be careful about where you go and what jewelry you purchase.

Eloise is by far the best artist, best tattooist and by far the nicest person ever. She listens to what you really want and what you dont want. Her prices are very reasonable. She has many years of experience and from here on out, I will gladly travel back up here for my ink work.

I am a 61 year old Grandmother who has always wanted a tragus piecing. Joanna did my piercing today and did a fantastic job! My friend went with me and expected some pain, but was pleasantly surprised! I highly recommend Joanna for piercings - she is amazing!!!

Me and my best friend got a tattoo of nightmare before Christmas on our backs. and it turned out very horribly. She tattooed over our sun burns, and we wanted it small but she made it very big. And now our tattoos looks like a pencil drawing than a tattoo. They lost my business.

Went to Tomato in Lisle for my first tattoo and it was messed up and wasnt completely filled in and was much more expensive for something small and in black ink. Got my second tattoo here and Im really happy with it, it was bigger and in color and cheaper. Getting my third soon.

I went here for my birthday to get my Belly Button pierced. Kris pierced me, awesome guy made me feel totally comfortable. I was really nervous about getting it done, he did it so quick and it was completely painless. Awesome job, highly recommend everyone to go here.

This is a review based on my experience.When I initially got my ear piercings done, i was greeted and taken care of. The piercer was nice and made small talk with me to keep me relaxed.The place itself is kinda creepy and ghetto looking. Like a typical scetchy tattoo parlor. Theres the stereotype, I guess.The ear jewelery selection is very slim. I settled for something simple.Anyways. Fast forward to 6 months.My piercings have been VERY well maintained, cleaned 2x -3x a day. And I knew from the get go, they would take a while to heal.But MAN, I didnt think I was going to get keloids on almost all my piercings. I got 5 done at Skin Gallery and 4 of them have keloids. Ive never gotten a keloid from other piercing places. So this was shocking.But as I investigate and suspect more, its all due to the angle of the piercings. My lobe piercings are all at an angle, which then caused irritation. Movement of the earrings didnt help. It messed up my ears from behind. I now have massive keloids that Im still trying to get rid of.Dont think I will be back. My expectations were higher. But sadly they were not met in terms of the end result. Im stuck with keloids.

Very clean professional and sterile facility! Brent was very thorough with his explanation of the procedure and post care instructions! He assured me all the equipment is sterilized and opened a new pack in front of me. He kept talking to me through the piercing process to ease me n keep me calm. I had expected a more painful procedure but it was hardly anything! Highly recommend this place for first time piercers 👌PS they dont take outside jewelry only because they cannot assure its sterility and neither can fully assure the product it was made from regardless of the tag or receipt. Which was very satisfying as it proves they are very keen on ensuring customer protection!

The piercer was nice but he royally messed up my septum piercing, he ripped the skin on one side and it was massively crooked, high on the left low on the right, he used the wrong size horseshoe ring. Mike told me I have a crooked septum and I DONT, I had massive blood pooling and he pierced it in the cartilage, which your not supposed to do. Moral of the story if you want professional piercer dont go here. I went to an industry professional that took one look at it and was horrified, he has over 20 years experience and people come from all over the country to see him. Once again, DONT GO HERE, I promise you youll regret it like I do.

The girl did an okay job with my piercings, but was unprofessional and more pricy than usual. I think the place was better with the old people, they were more welcoming, and explained things more thoroughly, I wouldnt recommend them now.

I got a microdermal done a few months ago and when I got home to clean it I noticed the jewelry was loose. So I called the next day and they said its fine and to just keep a bandaid over it. A few months go by and I notice it snagging more thinking it was rejecting and today I just woke up and the gem came loose and fell off. Very disappointed since I paid $70 and I couldve paid $40 at another shop and they couldve done it better.

The entire staff walked out on this place over night. This should tell you something. I have seen some very unprofessional posts from whoever is now running the facebook account for this shop. I had a tattoo done here by el the lines are not straight and the shading is horrible. they are also not very understanding of people telling them whats wrong with the shop and employees. This is a serviced based industry they are in and soon they wont be in it because the lack of service they provide.

I have came here for 3 out of 4 of my tattoos, and I just had one that I had done at a tattoo party touched up. Ive seen all these negative reviews, and I chose to go here anyways. I had the pleasure of having Sean do my tattoo. Not only did he fix someone elses mistake, he added to it to make it look amazing. Never once have I had any problems with my tattoos from here, and I would continue to go here as long as my artist stays (Sean) I really loved what he did with my tattoo. As for all the bs comments about the cleanliness of the shop. Not only did I watch him wash his hands he also put on a fresh pair of gloves every time he stepped out to great other customers(in front of me) I also watched him open a fresh needle for my tattoo, and watched him put ink into brand new ink containers. The inside of the lobby was not the same with out the art books on the walls but it was very clean and comfortable. I hope hope that this shop is around for years to come as I plan on going back for more art work by this wonderful artist. Than you so much Sean and skin gallery for making my birthday awesome and making my tattoo better than it was before. Pretty dirty inside; nose piercing got infected almost immediately. Has been closed because of health concerns in the past..

I walked in to get a peircing. I was immediately hit with an awful burjing incense smell and was greeted rudely by the guy who apparently does the peircings there while he was playing on his phone. I was literally told well youll have to gave a seat and wait because I have another peircing to do first. And continued to play on his phone. I sat down and waited for about the amount of time it would have taken to do my peircing. For two girls to walk in and go straight back with him. My jaw dropped to the floor. I had to wait to get my peircing done for somebody who wasnt even at the shop! They place looks a bit beat up, mixed with creepy stuff they have on display and the bad smell all created a very uncomfortable atmosphere. I left and didnt even bother to get my peircing. Ill go to the shop I normally go to, theyre cheaper, more professional and a lot more welcoming
