I love Dr. Robert’s and the gang at Midwest Eye. They are efficient and take real good care of your eyes. Years ago Dr. Robert’s saved my eye. He saw something wrong and sent me to a Retina specialist. Had surgery and all is well. I respect a doctor that may find something wrong and they can’t fix it but knows where to send you to get it fixed. I don’t trust anyone with my eyes but Dr Roberts. Glasses are to die for. Lisa is the best! Good job friends!

I was impressed by the professionalism of all the staff, timeliness of services and state of the art eye exam equipment. The eye doc was well-educated, explained all his findings and was easy to talk to regarding solutions and ideas for vision and eyeglass issues. Now the BEST part of my experience: DEBBIE!! She was amazing! She listened to my explanation of my taste (super conservative for work and fun/cool for my sport glasses) and did not try to impose her sense of style on me. She helped me find the glasses that were PERFECT for my head shape and size. She chose a couple pairs for me to try on that I never would have chosen for myself and of course, ‘the perfect pair’ of my every day glasses was one of the ones I would not have even tried on! She listened to my needs for my sport glasses and then helped me pick out the coolest lenses.If you have ever had discomfort, slipping down your nose, etc. or just later regretted the glasses you picked out for yourself, go see this crew! You will not be disappointed. Real pros. I’ve been buying glasses most of my adult life and after many different places I’ve purchased at, I won’t go anywhere else again.And no, I’ve no relation to anyone there, nor am I friends with any of them. I’ve been using Midwest Eye for the last five years. I got the best service and Dr. Robert it’s the one who can tell you and do everything what you need. Because of Covid last two years I use a different office but that was not successful. The Eyes exam wasn’t good and I wasn’t able to use my pair of glasses. I came back to Dr. Robert and he did my exam all over again. His team is friendly, he is an excellent doctor and I’m happy. I will continue using their service. Most friendly and helpful staff. State of the art facility and equipment, which often translates into expensive but isnt, my pocketbook is very happy with them. With Dr Robert I had the experience of feeling like I was the only patient he was treating. He and Dr Bauer are exemplary contributions to the community in both their participation as Lions Club members and partnering with Midwestern University by taking in interns. Stop by with your old glasses, theyll be put to good use, and ask about their contact lens promotion.

Dr Robert is awesome; I went through five eye doctors before I found one that got my RX correct. RUN from any “doctor” that tells you that you have to “get used to” a new RX for glasses/contacts. Dr Robert has made at least three changes to my RX over the 25+ years that he has been taking care of vision needs. Out of those years I have sat and waited 30 to over 60 minutes beyond my scheduled appointment time to be seen by the doctor; no big deal - stuff happens.Unfortunately the receptionist is very unfriendly and simply does not care about client longevity or past client understanding for doctor running behind schedule. In fact, she has become so unpleasant to deal with I am looking for a new doctor. I do not expect to be coddled in any way but I also appreciate, and expect, a professionally friendly voice. I get the distinct impression she tells clients “no” to their suggested day and time for an appointment just to be disagreeable. I was 12 minutes late for an appointment recently (a truck almost sent us off a hill on the expressway) - when I called upon arrival she gruffly said “your appointment was at 10:40”. No “hello” no concern whatsoever with what may have caused this long term client to be a little late (there was no other client in the parking lot or office. No apology when I mentioned the horrifying incident to the tech who greeted me. She is getting worse as time goes on and this is not a one-off day with this woman. I don’t understand why doc has not addressed her behavior - no one else in the office has an unpleasant personality.

I had a very good experience at Midwest Eye. It started with the call I first made to them for an appointment. The young lady who answered the phone was very pleasant, knowledgeable and very professional. Then my eye exam seemed to be very thorough, I don’t believe I’ve ever actually had such an in depth exam. Dr Robert was great with the final steps of my exam and taking the time to answer the questions I had.Then after the exam there was the last steps of picking out some frames and ordering the lenses with the latest and greatest features that I wanted. Lisa had helped me with actually picking out frames that worked for me. I’ve never had that kind of service, but then again used to go to a big box retail store for my glasses.My wife suggested that I get a second pair also that would be a bit more stylish for going out. So I ordered the two pairs. I have to admit I had a bit of sticker shock at the cost of the two pairs of glasses, but again I used to buy my glasses at Sam’s Club. To be fair I’ve never had such high quality eye glasses until getting my new glasses at Midwest Eye.Then the much anticipated appointment to go back and pick up my new glasses, as my current glasses were really beat and my vision was suffering with them.I put the first pair of glasses on and wow, it was incredible how crystal clear everything was. Lisa took some steps to properly fit them to me. I was trying on the new glasses while wearing a mask and trying to get an idea of how they looked on me.So anyway I’m wearing my new glasses as I’m driving home and marveling at how well I could see with them. After getting home my wife was eager to see them both, she absolutely loved them on me. After trying them both on at home without a mask on, I really loved them too.I am very pleased with my experience at Midwest Eye and very happy to have a place that I know I can count on for years to come. Dr. Bauer is hands down the best optometrist I’ve seen. He takes the time to thoroughly discuss the results of the various tests to give me an accurate description on the status of my eyesight. Thanks to Yelp i found Midwest Eye Care. I have never needed glasses but I was in need of every -10 -years eye exam. I was really happy with the cleanliness of the facility. Looked like a great frame selection. Everyone was super nice. The best part was that I wasn’t sold something I didn’t need. My vision “issues” were nothing more than eye strain caused by looking at a triple monitor setup 12hrs a day. He prescribed 20 seconds of screen break time an hour instead of some fancy glasses I didn’t need! I’ll definitely be back here for my 10 year checkup. I don’t carry eye insurance because I don’t need glasses (yet), and he was able to give me a discount on my exam since I was paying out of pocket.

Due to Covid, they usher you inside, ask a few questions, obtain any signatures needed then immediately take you to your exam room. Everything appears neat and clean. On occasion I have gone elsewhere due to optical benefits and have never felt confident in the care as its usually impersonal and rushed. Appointment was right on time. I felt extremely safe as they went above and beyond to meet all CDC guidelines for COVID. All personnel from the time I got there till the time I left all introduced themselves and before being handed over to the next person asked if I had any questions. He had an internist working with him today and they both worked together very well. I wish all doctor appointments went as well.

I had been having a lot of issues with my eyes in the past three months including huge floaters. It’s been extremely frustrating. I had gone to see a specialist twice and felt even more frustrated. Today I saw Dr. Bower and he made me feel so much better by listening to my worries, providing me with excellent information and a great sense of humor.He prescribed me different contacts that helped me see much better and informed me I was wearing readers that were much too weak.
