Food was really tasty. Staff is friendly and speedy. Even with the amount of people already there, the place is big enough so that we were seated within 5 minutes.Have been here several times over the years and have never been disappointed. Would recommend.
My Wife and I stopped here for breakfast.. We had bacon, eggs hash browns and pancakes. Everything was cooked just right. The breakfast was great, and the service was great to. Will go back again. All positive.
Nice casual spot good for breakfast, lunch or some baked goods. They have specials and a full menu. The bread basket is so good and everything is made fresh. Even the food we ordered tasted freshly made. If you check in on Yelp for your first time, you get a free saganaki!! Who doesn’t love free flaming cheese? It isn’t the best saganaki I’ve had, but not the worse. I do recommend it, if it is free! Large portions, very fair prices, and private parking lot. They have a VIP monthly program which I recommend if you go here enough. Next time I’ll try their breakfast.All staff had on mask, hand sanitizer was available, there was the clear divider between cashier and customers and the bathrooms had extra paper towels available for the door which I appreciate.
Very busy there. Server was all business, not very personable, but you cant blame them. Good food, with HUGE portions. Pancakes were a little sweet for my taste, but I still ate the whole thing.
A delight! Had not been since the pandemic started. No problems, socially distanced & wearing masks as appropriate. Our waitress was great, personable & attentive. We ordered the lunch special: soup & sandwich, clam chowder was filling with loads of fresh veggies. The cod fish sandwich was GREAT: served fresh & warm with just the right amount of cheddar cheese, tartar sauce on the side so you can put on as much as you like. It was truly above & beyond. I ate the whole thing.
We had a bigger group and placed a reservation ahead so that the place will be ready for us. I feel badly for our server helping our big group by herself. I have been here before several times and liked the service and food so I suggested this place to my family but Im disappointed how slow the service was. Do I blame our server, of course not! The hosts (who I know are the owners) couldve at least helped our server for a more efficient delivery of our orders to the table instead of her running back and forth!Ive known this place as a family oriented place, the big reason for my recommendation, you would think staff who are free will go and help her (they did but only when she was pretty much done serving us our orders😒)Heres hoping my feedback will make the management more aware
The service was prompt and courteous. My server was excellent with suggestions and a cheerful demeanor. I was even quite impressed with one of the bussers cleaning up after an exceptionally dirty family. A woman made a comment to him as she left, about the sty of a mess left behind. He just smiled and kept working. No rude comments about his job or previous guests. Very professional. The food was good and reasonably priced. I asked for an addition to my meal and was accommodated for. Would definitely dine here again if the service is this good every time.
Sometimes I consider driving the 3 and a half hours from my house just to eat here. Its truly that good. Service has always been top notch. Portions are huge. Their chicken and rice soup is the stuff that dreams are made of.
Food was OUTSTANDING!! Serving sizes were very generous and if you are from the south, you won’t be disappointed. Our server was very hospitable and made sure we were happy with our selection. The prices were surprising low for the amount of food they give you. The wait to be seated was very short, but there was about a 15 minute wait for our food. The service and quality of the food definitely made it worth the wait. Five stars every time!!

Omlet was OK. The disposition of our waitress was unacceptable. In fairness to the restaurant - other waitresses were very helpful to their customers.
It wasnt terribly busy when we were there. But our server Gabby was very sweet! I can honestly say every single thing I had was fantastic! I would definitely recommend this place for a casual bite to eat!

I love this place!! I went with my family, brother, mother and father and we had a fine dinner there. Waiters were so nice and gave us what we wanted such as bread!! Id totally recommend
I have loved going with friends to Omega since I was 16. The menu has something for any mood you’re in. I am now 51. Unfortunately, Omega doesn’t understand that our, especially our western suburbs, have evolved and having Fox News on every tv isn’t going to cut it. My most recent trip to Omega was a few weeks ago... it will sadly be my last until they show greater respect for truth, patriotism and democracy.
Food is really good.but the creamer for the coffee is always old. I dont think they chill the coffee creamers over night. they are all spoiled

I was visiting a friend that lives around the area and he recommended this establishment. Now my friend is about as cheap as they come and enjoys frozen pizza cooked in a microwave so I was a little wary going here. The food was kinda like a truck stop meal, The waitress was really unenthusiastic ( Bless Her Heart ) and upon leaving the restaurant and driving straight to the airport I miraculously grew a cold sore on my mouth. This particular cold sore has grown at a abnormal and worry some amount of speed and has single handily ruined my vacation getaway. Since then I am no longer speaking to my friend from several years and I will definitely look at other options when it comes to the most important meal ( Breakfast) to start the day

Went and had breakfast this morning. First very busy I was okay with take sat down got my coffee and water and it took 15 mins before the waitress came back to take out order. So during that time I was sitting where I could see the get the drinks and dinner roll baskets they used there hands to get the bread I didn’t like that at all. Then I see at least 2 waitresses take 2 bread baskets from other tables whom I saw take bread out of the baskets and took them to where they get the bread and reuse the bread that other people have just touched. With COVID still going on that is not right they should throw the bread out. So think twice before you eat the bread baskets
This is my grandparents favorite place to be. They take me sometimes to have lunch with them. Boppa meets here with all of his friends for coffee and breakfast. Grandma used to love the chicken sandwich and hearty soups. The staff is typically pretty friendly, and I love the baked goods they have up at the front. Sometimes takes a bit to start an order, but cant blame the staff who have been there for so long!
Omega is such a wonderful place, we have been going there for years. We wound up ordering tonight a very large order. My family and I made the ordering process a little bit frustrating with numerous questions and delays in the ordering process. We were so impressed with how professionally the Host accepted our order packaged it beautifully and was not the least bit impatient with us. The food as always was delicious. And we really appreciated the extra rolls.
I have been coming to Omega my whole life. They have good service, big portions, and reasonable prices.

Freshfood, large portions and friendly service. Went for lunch, took half home. The dessert case has many tempting offerings including individual rectangles of many cakes.
The food was less than appetizing. We orderedl shredded chicken paninni sandwiches with sun dried tomatoes and provolone cheese at $12,00 each. The chicken was hunks of boiled type chicken with a dot (LESS than a size of a dime) of sun dried tomatoes. If you want a good meal, avoid this over-priced restaurant.

Super...went with my wife and 4 grandkids. I ordered chopped sirloin covered with blue cheese was best I ever had. Wife had breaded veal and granddaughters had chicken fingers, mickey mouse pancakes and chicken parmesan...all were happy with their dishes..when you order dinner you get your choice from their bakery to eat there or take home. Looking forward to our next trip .
Great food, large portions. We are visiting the area and saw the sign as we drove by. This is now a family favorite in Westmont.

A long-time Downers Grove hot spot, Omega is the perfect choice for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Great food, daily specials, and a truly outstanding bakery. A real gem.
Unfortunately my family and I did not get a chance to eat anything accept soup and bread. Our waitress only put in the kids order. 45 minutes later and after already having said something to our waitress, we spoke to the manager who found out that our waitress messed up. Instead of admitting that she messed up she didnt own up to it. Annoying! Take responsibility for your actions!

I dont understand all the good reviews. Ive been eating here for 30 + years and its nothing like it used to be. Was always happy with the food, not anymore. Tried it several times over the last two years and have been so disappointed with the quality. Food is mostly flavorless, even the Grecian chicken had no flavor. The breakfast is still worth it, but forget lunch and dinner. They have lost their touch.

Limited menu (although still lots of options). Service was great, price was good. They didnt have all the soups on menu available at dinner time and no longer (at least at this time) have the bialy breadsticks that I loved since I was a kid. Expecy drink, soup, meal, and tip for $20ish.

We stopped here after visiting the nearby fertility clinic and all I can say is this place is FANTASTIC! Our waitress was superb and the food was delicious. On our way out, we purchased a bunch of different desserts at the counter and they were scrumptious, melt in your mouth perfection. If I could give more stars I would, you will not be disappointed I promise.

Went to Omega after a morning shopping. Lunch was fantastic! The Cobb salad was huge and full of toppings, and my mom’s Philly steak sandwich was enough for two meals. I highly recommend the sweet potato fries, and definitely have a cup of soup. Our server, Judith, was so friendly and efficient, and everyone was following the guidelines set out for masks and physical distance, and the restaurant was extremely clean. We had a great time and fantastic food, just like always!!!
UPDATE010720I have gone ro this Restraunt many times for their breakfast which I admit is great.This time I decided to try it out for lunchService was good as it always and they are now in the middle of a remodel and upgrading the floors. I decided to try a sandwich this time and was surprised the price of the good has gone up. My Monte Cristo sandwich was 8-11 dollars to get it with fries otherwise it was cheaper. We did get a basket of rolls but I didnt eat any. I did have the chicken soup with dumplings, it was tasty but I doubt think it was homemade. The sandwich was a Monte Cristo with regulat white bread French toast then the ham, turkey and cheese was put on that. Im not sure if it was then grilled or placed in a microwave. The sandwich was a typical sandwich and nothing to write home about. I was excited about the sweet potato fries but sadly they were very over cooked.Prices have gone upI was disappointed.Started going back on an occasional basis for breakfast since reopened. Huge portions, I always take some food home. The breakfast is your typical food and nothing way out there to brag about and I have tried several different specialty breakfasts. Staff is quite but friendly and the place is clean. Prices around average and priced lower then most of the speciality breakfast locations.

Food is good but take-out service is bad, and thats the only choice right now. This time they forgot both side orders. Went back to get them, and they did nothing for the trouble. So, not worth the effort when thats their attitude. Not trying to get something for nothing, but when you have to make up for their mistake, you should get more than a sorry. Being penny-wise and pound foolish lost them a regular customer.
I love their quality of soup and sandwich combo. The portions are huge and I love that I can get a second meal out of it. The service is always friendly and I look forward to coming back, there is always something to find on their menu.
