When I called to get a can of spray paint (Retributor Armor) Adam picked up the phone, very friendly and earnestly set aside a can for me that I was able to pick up.When I arrived in store, Adam was there and was very welcoming to me and several friends who were new to the Warhammer hobby, told us about the painting workshops and offered to explain the latest edition of the rules.Excellent selection of both Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40k models, rule books, novels, paints, tools, and economical use of space to fit 3 large tables (in addition to fantastically painted terrain pieces)It should be irrelevant, but in a time when hobby stores can have an uncertain attitude towards women and newbie gamers, this place was very diverse and relaxed with a great and welcoming atmosphere. Cant wait to be back for the painting classes!

Im new to the hobby and Adam the manager has been extremely helpful. Hes never tried to push me to buy anything and shows real excitement and knowledge when answering any of my multitufe of questions. The patrons that Ive enteracted with while shopping, watching games or just been in to paint and learn have also been very friendly and helpful. Much more engaged than anything you experience these days. It has been quite fun learning about the hobby and spending time just hanging out. Ive felt my hard earned money spent there has been well worth the level of service i get. I look forward to spending more time learning this hobby and how to paint better from Adam and this great store.

Even though there is a pandemic going on, I was still treated to extremely friendly service, from a safe social distance! The presence of cleaning products up front was comforting, as you could tell the store is keeping a clean environment. Although they are only serving a single customer at a time, I was still engaged in friendly conversation, and felt even better about my army scheme after being encouraged! We all miss being able to hang out and actually wargame with each other, but even this level of personal interaction is why Ill go out of my way to grab my supplies from here, and not online. Plus you cant beat that same day pick up :D

Adam is AWESOME! I brought my 3 boys in the store today (they had asked about Warhammer a few weeks ago). Even though the store was getting busy, Adam walked them through what Warhammer was and then went way above and beyond duty and actually showed them how to play by playing a couple of rounds with them. For the 1st time in 3 years my 7th grader knows what he wants for Christmas. Sorry I couldnt purchase tonight from them since Christmas is close and my kids were standing right there 😀

This place is amazing, the moment i stepped in I felt welcomed and wanted, and it constantly felt that way. Adam is phenomenal and helped me throughout on restarting my growth of this awesome hobby.

Adam is amazing. Hes super helpful and always had recommendations. He knows exactly how to help a person, if youve never played anything before he has a dozen ideas based on what you like to do. Im pretty sure he had all of the merchandise gw carries memorized to tell you everything you could want to know before diving in, even including some games with already made models.

Im from out of town and stopped in to check out the store and I know I will definitely be back any time Im back in the Chicago area.

I was in town for business and stopped in. Adam greeted me right away and we began talking about the game. There were multiple games going on and people painting their miniatures while I was there. Great people and great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Amazing store, I dont go to play often, but I order everything from adam, great guy, will be honest with you, and doesnt push you to buy. Hes started a great community. Will always be a customer. A friend and I wanted to play but there was not table space, but he asked if some guys could give us a small square to play in. Like I said great guy, very good store.

I happened to be near this shop on travel. I stopped-in, and I am extremely pleased that I did. Staffer Adam represents the peak of knowledge, passion, and helpfulness in this industry. I was just as impressed with the quality of conversation as I was with the quality of service at this location. I highly recommend this store.

Great store, the manager knows what hes doing, doesnt push you too hard to buy stuff (he still has to make his money somehow) and most importantly he is very good at helping you pick out just the right models that you want. The place and staff is good enough that its got me back into warhammer, which I thought Id never do again because of the toxic environment that other stores Ive been in had.

The manger is super friendly, he will go out of his way to make you feel like you understand the various GW products and offer advice if you are new to the hobby.

Helpful staff friendly regulars. The location is not a battle bunker so smaller than the one which used to be on Butterfield years ago but theres tables and people willing to show you whats what. Its a nice location too downtown so you can access good eats too if there for a while.

Friendly staff and fun games. If you are thinking of trying it out they have days to teach you how to play the games, make the models, and paint them. All around awesome.

Adam was super nice. He showed my 8 & 10 year olds how to play blood bowl. He walked them through all of the 40k armies, quite excitedly, explained Everything thoroughly, and really got them excited about the hobby. Everyone in the store was really nice, let the kids watch them paint, model, play, and it was a great experience for little people!

The space is a little small and they dont have every set on hand (though Im sure they can order it for you), but the staff is great and they seemed to have plenty of people and events to play whatever you wanted. Plenty of ideas for lists and paint jobs

I mean Adam is a pretty cool dude I guess he totally knows what he is doing an can be a bit loud but thats ok because people like that high energy stuff. Oh yeah store is quite cute and small though it is kept emaculate by its proud manager Adam. Good terrain and good people. Ok but seriously its a great store stop by anytime Adam and the rest of the staff are friendly and always willing to help and show off this great hobby! Oh and they have lots of inventory! Awesome! Me and my friends used to love to play the game but we started calling greedy Workshop because it kept changing everything on it so much. That we started getting tired of having to keep paying for upgrades to the network of pieces
