I came in to get my starter replaced. Easy to set up appointment online, front desk was helpful when I arrived. My only complaint would be the price.. $500 just to replace the part I needed. I paid about half less somewhere else a few years ago. This place charges a lot, just be aware.

Firestone complete auto care in Downey off of Cecila st. Nice friendly atmosphere this is where i feel comfortable in receiving good information. So when my tires go bald again which is due to my driving back and forth during the pandemic. I will remember where i can get self respectable brands and friendly service too. Thank you

This gets interesting. Went here for a diagnosis service for my ABS. When I made my appointment and mentioned what my trouble was, I was greeted with open arms. The day I arrived for my appointment things changed. After telling the guy about my troubles. He says we do not service ABS. I looked at the BIG logo inside that said Firestone, complete auto care. I asked why the sign says complete auto care and you are telling me you dont service ABS. Not only was I mislead by false advertising and wasted time due to poor training. Now I have to be more aware and careful.

I just moved to the Socal area and needed a reliable auto shop. Well I took my car in since the check engine light was turned on to the Firestone in Buena Park. They told me that something was wrong with the EVAC system. $1,000 later, they fixed it. A few months go by and the check engine light turns on and my car starts shaking crazy. Take it in to this shop in Downey since it is closer to me and they told me the engine is great but that I needed to change the rotors. They wanted to charge me over $2k just to change the rotors. I was like what? That doesnt seem right. I decide to take it to another auto shop near me and they noticed my car had warped rotors, needed an oil change, the belt needed to be changed and the front brake pads had to be changed. They charged me $800 for the repairs. Do not trust this Downey Firestone location. They will try and steal your money especially if you have no knowledge about cars. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!

This use to be my favorite place to go to for my services. Since John retired the service isnt as great. I see different people everytime I go now. Manager are always different as well. Ive visited the past 2 times and the service just keeps getting worse. I was promised a refund for the service I had received on my car and yet I received a statement. I called a few times to speak with a manager but never in. When finally the manager is in I get a refund but for a service that was never performed instead of a full refund. I am going to have to take my business elsewhere. I really liked this place but its not the same anymore.

My car said it needed air in two tires so I stopped here. The mechanic checked all 4 put air as needed, was so friendly and didnt charge! Best place to go for service.

Very long wait times. I had an appointment at 10 and was told my car wouldnt be ready until 1:30. I think thats a bit much personally :-/ but at least they wont rip you off which is pretty cool. The workers are all nice but my complaint is towards the business owners who wont hire enough people so that the work can get done faster.

Really slow in alignment service. they make people wait all day. Apparently if you have a appointment or no appointment its no different in service.

I had an appointment previously scheduled in the webpage days before, but the lady on charge gave the first to come to a lady that supposed arrived earlier than me (I was on time according my appointment).Anyway, the service of the mechanic was good. The waiting room (section/corner) needs improvement.

I am so happy I took my car there. The staff is very kind and helpful. They tell you exactly what your car needs and help you figured out whats important. I know in couldnt afford all the work I needed, but they gave me a quote to come back whenever I can. It is a good place to drop off your car and go to do some shopping at the mall. 😁

It was my 2nd visit after many years.I had life time warranty on my car. So I took my 2nd car for wheel alignment. Anthony and Rahul took care everything. Had to wait but it was worth of waiting. Strongly recommend to everyone. Just be patience when you go to auto shop.

I came in to replace 2 tire pressure sensors at around 8:50am, my appointment was for 9am car was received by the staff early. A job that should have taken 40 mins to an hour ended up taking over 5 hours to complete. I waited and kept getting told it would only be about 40 mins to an hour more. I didnt get into my vehicle until 2:32pm. I even applied for a Cfna card, I was planning on getting tires and a lifetime alignment for another vehicle, however after this horrible experience I wont be coming back. I have experience in the auto industry, I know roughly how long things should take. I know the job is roughly take about an hour to do worst case scenario, I even expected it to take maybe 2 to 2 1/2 hours after they wrote everything up and gave it to their technician and ordered parts. Having to wait over 5 and a half ours is unexceptable. I will never do business with firestone again and being someone who works with lots of vendors and technicians and all around automotive clients, I will tell everyone to avoid firestone complete autocare.

Their hours say they are open but seems like they dont want to be disturbed. The second time I called, someone picked up the line and immediately hung up. The first and third time, the line kept ringing. Really? Thanks for nothing.

I am disappointed but not because of COVID-19, which they might say this is why it takes forever.I am highly disappointed with the service that this location provides. You make a appointment in advance, a week ahead of time, and when you arrive, they quote you over (4) hours of waiting time, and that’s a if.They overbook appointments which creates a bigger mess.The customer service is lacking in all departments. From the person checking you in to how they speak to you. I would NOT recommend this location. Young adults who feel highly entitled with rude attitudes.After waiting 2 1/2 hours, they still haven’t even brought my car in. Keep in mind, the alignment machine is not in usage. Another lady present had been waiting 3 hours for just a oil change with a APPOINTMENT.There is no reason to overbook appointments, and also take walk ins. Makes no sense because everyone becomes upset. Look at other locations, they will tell you that they are busy and can’t take anymore. Especially with COVID-19. They had it packed in there for no reason. You can see the attendants taking in people knowing they can’t handle the load.Rude and ignorant when asking about the status of your vehicle. I am not here to exaggerate because I time my appointment by the clock.I rather go to another Firestone location who takes pride in appointments. Do you ever go to a location with a appointment and get quoted 4 hours because they are busy? Then what’s the point of the appointment? Tell me. This happens on many occasions.

I have come here since March 2020, this is the second time nobody has been inside the store. I confirmed yesterday my app for today at 8 am so I had to pause what I have to do to het this car work done. I showed up and the store wasn’t open. The store manager Priscilla has always been good to me. I hope corporate can investigate this matter. Besides that Pricilla always does right by me.

Firestone as a whole does not do the best professional work possible. I have a Firestone charge card that I hate I got. Everytime Ive taken my Honda Accord to the downtown Long Beach location (which is permanently closed now) they would always try to add on something else that did not need to have maintenance. The mechanics act like kids in some respect to mechanic work, not as knowledgeable for what they want to charge. And one time when I came back to get my car, some of the mechanics had stolen some fast food coupons I left in my dash. I have not been to Firestone since, and even though I need some work done on my car now, I am afraid to take my car back to Firestone in fear of being scammed or them trying to max out my Firestone credit card.

I went in for a wheel alignment and was told I would be ready to go by closing time which was 4pm. They were really busy and didnt get to me until around 430 but when the got working on my car they took care of it quickly and accurately.I had a problem with my camber and the listened to me and asked questions to make sure it came out as desired. After all was done they updated me and overall did a great job.The only thing was I should have been asked what time it would be ready but I didnt know they stayed later to finish up the service calls. I recommend setting it up the appointment early and just waiting for them to call when its ready if possible. Anyways great work guys keep it up.

We were driving a enterprise vehicle and had a blinker bulb out. She got us in and out really fast so we could continue on our vacation! Thank you Priscilla

Exceptional service. Friendly, courteous, and fast. I came with an emergency problem thinking I was going to have to leave my car and make all kinds of arrangements. They were able to get me in right then and had the repairs done within a few hours. It saved me a lot of worry during a very stressful time. And it cost less than I had anticipated! Ive gone here before and havent had any issues, but today was a bad day. I had gone a day before to get a worn tire changed and I was told there was no tech available so I made an appointment for 9am the next day. In the morning I couldnt drive my vehicle cause my tire came off the rim completely and had to pay $85 for a 1 mile tow. I got there around 9:30am and I was told it would be an 1-1/2hr wait but ended up waiting until close to 1pm and that was with an appointment! I missed a whole day of work because of it. All they ended up doing was change 2 tires and an alignment. During that whole wait time no courtesy check was done on my vehicle and they always do a courtesy check! The lady hung up on me over the phone. I was talked to like a child and I gave attitude back. I felt like they treated me very rudely. I paid $289 just for the 2 tires. I was told that was their cheapest.

Priscilla is absolutely amazing!!! She took extra time from her day just to make sure I got the best quality care for my car! She went over and above to ensure my trip back home would be safe. She and this Firestone team are worth every penny earned at this location. In addition, this woman seems to keep the whole show moving forward! More people should take the time to pay it forward the way she did today. Thanks Priscilla and Firestone for such a good experience.

I came here And was told that the tire I needed was not available. They said they could order it and have it here tomorrow. So I made an appointment for 4 o’clock. I left work early and showed up at 4 o’clock they said they were a little busy. I agreed to wait till six or 630. I’m here at 8 o’clock now and my car is up on the rack being attended to..When I came here there were two or three people in the waiting room. Now I’m here trying to pick up my car and no one else is here and my car is not done. And we’re looking at four hours! Unacceptable!

Horrible service! Made an appointment at 12, dropped off my car. 5 hours later, never got a call that my car was ready, I had to call and ask if my car was ready and they said it was. I get to the location and they told me my car still needed the alignment. I came in for an alignment and rotation, they had done nothing to my car!!!! To top it off as I was coming in from the side entrance I see the workers smoking and just hanging out in the back area!!!

Do not trust this Auto Care with your Vehicle. I made the mistake.I took my vehicle in for an all wheel alignment. I purchased the lifetime all wheel alignment. When I drove my vehicle away, the problem persisted, my vehicle continued to go to one side on its own. I posted my first experience in a review, soon the Manager contacted me to bring my car in again so they could properly do it for a second time.In this second visit the manager informed me that a bolt had broken while they tried to take it apart, he told me to be at ease and he would replace the broken bolt for free due to the trouble of me having to come back a second time.It turns out he never changed it and just put the broken bolt back on my wheel. This could have cost me my life and the manager promised me he would change it. He lied to me by making me believe Firestone would take care of this issue and by putting my life at risk.I hope this Auto Care goes out of business before they put another persons life in danger.P.S. They DO NOT review the Services rendered upon leave.

Awesome guys here - got a hole on my motorcycle tire, I plugged it on the side of the highway and put some air in it with my hand pump, but had no idea what the pressure was. Cruised over here and the guys aired me back up to 35psi and I was back on my way. Thanks!

I have been a customer since 2004. I visited the Shop on 04/24/20 to address a nail on my front left tire.  The tech found 4 more nails. Three on the front right and one on a rear tire.  And even though I had insurance on all tires, they gave me all the reasons why they couldnt fix them.  My rear tires were worn down significantly. I admit, but the front tires had plenty of thread. The service advisor was trying really hard to sell me tires. No tires no service.  A friend of mine recommended American Tires.  He said they fix flats for free. I called and they booked me on that day. They had no problem repairing the front tires. The rear ones were too worn out and I agreed. Turns out the nails in the front did not penerate thru so patching a flat was not necessary. I appreciated the effort they made so I purchased two continental tires to replace the two Bridgestone tires in the rear. I usually get excellent service but If Firestone doesnt want my business Ill be happy to go elsewhere.

My friend recommended this place and it did not disappoint. I was impressed with the customer service offered here. I was helped by Priscilla and she made my trip worth it. She made me feel welcomed and she got my car to me within the time she stated. She offered me advice and let me know exactly what I needed during my next visit. She cares about the customers and I am definitely coming back because of her!The only issue I had was with their waiting area. They need to purchase new chairs for their customers. They are not aesthetically pleasing and they seem to be falling apart.

Had a flat the other day with to Pep Boys totally crowded over a two-hour wait decided to go somewhere else found a small shop in Norwalk $90 tax everything out the door for the tire seem like a lot of money for one tire if I went to Midas and they wanted a little over $100 so I called one more place Firestone saved a little money and had my tire changed there it was a little wait but better than the 2 hours I would have had to wait at Pep Boys they did a good job Im happy with their service

Got me a great deal on some Firestone wide Oval Indy 500s. It took a while but I was early and they explained the reasons. Great customer service. So far so good.

Worst place ever they took advantage of my 70 year old grandmother and charged her 400 dollars for an inspection and tune up. They didnt change her oil or replace any wires or any filters. All they did was change her spark plugs and called it a tune up. 100 dollars for inspection aka them using a code reader and determined that the catalytic converter was bad. Which it was not! She just needed an o2 sensor which we got from autozone. Total waste

Firestone in Whittier on Washington good service and great manager custom service. I got a oil change and two tires. They forgot to reset oil light. After the oil change. A message still comes on saying I need a oil change

AVOID!!!! Dropped my van off to have 4 tires changed at 1137 am was told latest would be 5 pm. Figured 6 hours should be more than enough time to have tires removed and replaced especially since they are going to charge me 200 buck in just labor. Came back at 430 with NOTHING done to the van. I asked for my keys and left. Found a shop to do what they couldnt in an hour for 70 bucks less.

This place is awesome!!!I got there kind of late with a flat tired but they were real busy, but they still took care of me and stayed open till my car was ready.Normally they close at 6:00 but they closed at 7:30 till my car was ready!!Priscilla could have said no but was very nice and took care of me.

Horrible service!!I went in for a flat tire repair.I was told it would be 45 min. I went to the mall came back after an hour of not hearing from them to find out they hadnt even moved my truck!As I walked in the manager told his employee... Hey go do that red truck.I said it hasnt been started yet? He said no we got really busy. I told him I was there before all the other cars and to stop talking because he was lying. He said we can have it done in 30-45 min I told him bullshit dont touch my truck give me my keys. He then again stated they got swamped. I told him reality is you forgot now give me my keys...They never apologized for not starting my truck and having it to me while promised.I have been to this Firestone before with poor service and swore I would never go back. Figured a flat tire repair would be easy enough.... was I wrong!I will never go back!

Scheduled an appointment to get repairs done. I dtopped off vehicle 8am . I was told it be ready by closing time. I get a call at 5pm telling me they just pulled vehicle in and wont have time to get it done by 6pm if i can leave it another day to be complete by monday late afternoon. Terrible customer service. Promising to do anything to get your business but dont come through at the end of the day.

Just an average repair shop. Be careful of their advice on maintenance, some are really not needed.

2019 Summer Time I had my AC Charge and Tune Up on my car After it was serviced the AC Worked for a few days and the so called Tune Up done on my car well I can tell you it wasnt done because the never remove the manifold to do the Tune Up?? 5 or 6 hours later I was told my car was ready the service technician related to me that they changed my cooling system? I didnt order that? They said they changed the windshield wipers again I didnt ordered that either.... After everything was done FIRESTONE STORE IN DOWNEY STONEWOOD MALL. They over charging customers for services to that you dont authorized.. At first I had gave them a 5 Stars but know I will give them 1 🌟... VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER...

Dont go here for service. The mechanic could not adjust a stock 2002 Subaru Impreza. He told me there were no camber bolts, even though I just touched them 20 minutes ago before I got to Firestone. I replaced my hubs and wheel bearings so I needed a alignment after touching the camber bolts.People at the front are nice but the mechanic is incontinent and useless.

Bunch of Rats... DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET SCREWED OVER... came in for oil change tried to charge me almost $200 for an oil change ???.... Then they said I would need brakes in about a month never had a problem before... Guess what a month later I heard a loud crashing noise went to another place and they said I needed brakes and rotors due to the fact that there was a loose bolt that caused all the damage I wonder where that came from???... Firestone had did a free full car inspection during the oil change so there shouldnt have been a problem and how amazing they foretold brakes... Now Im screwed $300....also my sis n law had came and they broke her car key and said it was broken already now she has to manually open her car... If you wanna give away all your hard earned money be lied to have your car tampered and get pissed come to Firestone downey auto care... One thing they are very pleasant and clean while scerwing you over Id rather an honest greasy mechanic that these devils in disguise this place... Never again... What goes around comes around karma.... You have been warned do not come to this place

So i needed to replace all four tires on my toyota camry. Arrived at Firestone on Feb-4-2015. Talked to a young guy seemed knowledgeable bla bla bla twenty minutes later had him order me four tires to come in, he told me 2-7 days and he would give me a call. I return Feb-7-2015 to see if i got lucky and they came in the two days? NO. He told me they would come in on tuesday or wednesday and that he would give me a call. I recieved no call Tuesday or wednesday or thursday. So i called friday evening the guy on the phone said they had recived confirmation that my tires would be there saturday and again they would give me a call. Again no call saturday no call sunday. i decide to go there on monday Feb-16-2015, when i get there and ask for my tires they said they have NO RECORD of me or my tires being ordered even though they recieved CONFIRMANTION? Bunch of idiots i swear nobody actually works there! Its now Feb-18-2015 still no call! im not getting my tires there!

Went in at 2pm they told me 2 hours for an alingment. Went back at 4 and they had not even started. Then he said they would do it in 15 minutes. Wtf. Worst management ever. I run a shop and I never blame my workers. Its managers job to get things done. Not recommend.
