I was looking for an apple car play stereo for my 2014 Honda Civic. As I did my search and read my reviews I noticed this place called Sound Scape in Downey, CA.When I called the first time and spoke with John he provided the most honest, genuine, customer service, and patience attitude towards me when it came to asking 100 questions on the product, pricing, and financial options he provided. Not once did he come off as a pushy sale guy and not once did he try to sell me things I did not need, which to me is a major plus because some places I went to see and called would try so hard to get me to upgrade things I didnt need to upgrade.I called a few more times before making my appointment with John and sound scape and each time he was just an overall, honest and genuine person and after my third time calling I just decided to go with him and make my appointment for this Saturday 2/22/2020. He gave me reassurance that the product had a one year warranty and he gave me reassurance about his life time warranty on his installation, that made me so happy.Keep in mind I know nothing about cars except for what I research and even then its a scary situation when it comes to people installing things into your car. I love that they took their time when it came to installations and I love that John took the time to really show me how to work with my product. I love that they didnt leave a bunch of wires sticking around and I loved that in the end I am enjoying my new apple car play.Overall, if you are looking for a new audio system for your car Sound Scape and John is the best place to go too and I would totally recommend this place to anyone I know that is looking to upgrade their cars. Worth checking out. Both my friend and I got our cars worked on here and sent them another friend of ours. Some simple interior light kits. I took it in without an appointment because of some audio issues. I was able to chat with the owner and overall both him and the son are kind people . Prices are not extreme and they took care of my problem for FREE took no more than 15 min to fix it . I will be coming back with my car for further modifications. I trust them!

Great place to get your car stereo. John is absolutely great! Went in to buy a head unit for my 05 Grand Cherokee. John did a great job at explaining all the different units and even made some recommendations. Overall Soundscape did a fantastic job at installing my new radio and they even programmed the steering wheel controls. I would highly recommend Soundscape to anyone looking for a new car radio. These guys are very knowledgeable and do a fantastic job.

Came in to tint my Nissan Leaf, and the guy on the front was super helpful and friendly. Reasonable Price for Viper Tinting. Drop it off in the morning and they called me a couple hours later to pick it up. Quick and simple. Highly Recommend Coming Here. Got my Viper Security System installed w/ remote start and it the prices were reasonable and they do exceptional work. Definitely recommend this place for any audio & alarm system needs.My next project is going to get 2 sub woofers and a amplifier. Maybe, with some interior lighting. Walked in with an issue happening to my stereo. The owner listened to what I had to say, then asked me to come back in an hour so that he could investigate the problem properly. I went back in one hour and as promised he got to my vehicle. Found the issue in less than 15 min and only charged me $25. Not only was he upfront and honest, but you can see the work being done from the waiting area through a window. I would highly recommend this shop for your car stereo needs.

At first Ive seen the reviews and I thought to myself that there was no way it was going to be a perfect experience. I was wrong i needed some new subwoofers and the pricing was amazing. Theyre experts and they know what theyre doing, saying and selling. I got two kickers c12s and a box for it for only $200. The box I purchased was perfect and professionally made for keeping pressure in and it is carpeted very well nothing was lifting. Perfect place for audio

John and his crew are in a league of their own in this industry. They installed a great system in my 2016 Chevy Volt. The Volt got a focal component set up and Pioneer subwoofer installed, which made a massive difference in sound quality, and the original speakers were solid to begin with but SoundScape took it to the next level. Our Tesla Model S is next and we have plans to do a completely custom enclosure/housing for subs and more, cant wait. I ordered a component speaker install through Amazon.At first, I didnt get contact back within 1 business day (which is what was written on the Amazon page), so on the 2nd day I decided to stop by in person. When I arrived, I spoke with John, who told me that he called me just a little while ago. Sure enough, John called me while I was driving (though I was unable to pick up the call at the wheel) - I just didnt know whose number it was at the time.I drove to Downey from Irvine, and John was very accommodating. He said that as soon he was done working on an install for the car he was working on, which he estimated would be roughly 45 minutes, hed install the speakers into my car and call me once it was done. Never having set foot in Downey, he also directed me to the local mall to have a fun time in the meantime. From the time that I left the building, to the time that I came back after his call, a little over 2 hours went by - including the 45 minutes that werent related to the install I purchased, leaving roughly 1:15 to 1:30 involving the work on my car. I was pleasantly surprised!When I got back, John was very helpful in explaining all the aspects behind my new speakers vs. my old ones, and demonstrated that he was very knowledgeable with the expert advice he related to me when I asked him about a stereo and an amplifier and what effect it would have on my sound quality. At no point during any of our interactions did I feel like I was being pressured to purchase any product or additional service. John was straightforward, prompt, and extremely helpful (along with having a wonderfully friendly and cheery character).Best Buys installation bay had quoted me $100 for EACH pair of speakers, on top of a material fee and the costs of harnesses, for a total of roughly $235-240. Geez! SoundScape charged a flat $100 component installation for BOTH the front and rear pairs of speakers! The new speakers sound absolutely fantastic and I cant see anything at all indicating that work had been done on my car.I recommend this shop to anyone who wants quality service from knowledgeable staff at great prices. SoundScape and John have equally earned my business, and I will gladly be driving all the way up to Downey every time I need help with anything car audio. A+++++
