Clean with lots of tables. its been pretty full of people every time Ive been
Looks like they are out of business or moved. Store is completely empty.
A great staff and a friendly environment🙂 always love playing magic here, and they have a great selection of board games too!
I have known Travis for years and he is super helpful addressing the needs of everyone there. This is a an amazing card shop run by people passionate about the community. Stop in and check them out!
One game store to rule them all. This is the best game store in Utah. They have an awesome points and rewards system for being a customer. Their employees and management are extremely helpful and friendly. This game store is truly family friendly, which cannot be said about other game stores. There is tons of gaming space. All the player spots on tables are individually numbered, which makes tournaments smoother. They have very competitive pricing. They have more Dragon Shield card sleeves than I have ever seen in one place. They have the biggest variety of games out of any store Ive been to in Utah. Management helped me preorder a bunch of Star Wars Destiny cards and let me pay the invoice with Paypal, which was awesome because I could use Paypal credit. The bathrooms are very clean. They have snacks to buy. The employee are never rude or niche-y like at other game stores. This store has a very positive culture and is a gem to the community. I live in Orem and drive past several game stores to come here to shop and play in events.
Clean and open. Nice people except when someone loses.
They host really good tournaments and sell great stuff, nice staff
I’ve spent a good chunk of time here, though I may not be a regular i have spent a few hundred here on D&D and Magic the Gathering. This store is wonderful and I’ve always enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff are extremely kind, and the community are awesome.I used to stay and hang out with one group who would play D&D every week there, and they were more than happy to let me hang out and talk.During a MTG tournament someone bought me some dragon shield sleeves for my cards when they saw I didn’t have any. This community is awesome and really do take care of each other. I love coming here every chance I get, and I’ve gotten two different special cover D&D books from here and use them religiously. This is by far my favorite store.
Great game store run by great people who are passionate about their trade. They are very acommodating and will order items not in stock at their usual discount price. Their open play tables are free, and a private plaay room is available. The private room is soundproofed and equipped and suitable for podcast recording.
Love this place. Great prices, great games, great people. Ask Mario for them discounts.
Very awesome! Knowledgeable and friendly staff... got some great games for the family
Love the weekly smash tournaments!
These guys are great help finding new fun games you will enjoy.
Great shop for games of all kinds.
Love it here I went here often before we moved and it is always up to stock on new games.
Always great service!
Excellent and friendly game store for all your table top gaming needs! My friends and I attend this store every Wednesday to play Dungeons and Dragons. Or whatever tabletop game catches our fancy that week.We were even able to stream from their store using their equipment for one of our sessions and the staff were extremely helpful in that task. They have an excellent selection in stock but if they dont have what youre looking for. They are more than willing to order it for you at a discount.
Fantastic game store, especially for Magic players. Good selection of cards and fast service. The best thing about the store is the size. It’s spacious and open, with a high ceiling. That may not seem important, but when it gets busy (as the store is pretty popular), it really makes it easier to breathe. My personal favorite store in Salt Lake valley.
I ordered some cards from them; 4x 30 cent commons. All 4 of them had their own sleeve and had 2 per hard sleeve. Never before has some one put so much care into 4 commons. The least I could do is give them a good review. Keep up the good work.
This is my favorite card store in the entire valley. I frequent the store normally about 2x a week. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The store is always clean and stocked and the bathrooms are accessible as well. While I mostly go to the store for Magic: The Gathering. They seem to have a great collection of other games and host events for them as well. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for a great casual environment but competitive play.
This is an absolutely amazing store. Customer service is some of the best by far. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. Especially if you like the Warhammer.😁👍
This is the most amazingly helpful store I have ever been to for magic cards. They almost always have any card your looking for and treat you with the same attention if your buying $100 in single cards or 10 cents in cards. They have hands down the best pricing when youre buying singles or buying full booster boxes, and they give the most value when trading in your cards. Customer service is incredible!
Had a great time painting miniatures here with some friends at a small event. Great ambiance and has all the basics for a nerdy hangout. Highly recommend to go play games and purchase geeky supplies.
This is the place to go to if you want or have specific Magic the Gathering singles. They also have a variety of other games there. They have a lot of Magic cards, a good variety of card sleeves, and also a decent number of tabletop games miniatures. You will find a decent number of people playing Magic or Warhammer here periodically throughout the week. Most of the people working here have excellent customer service skills. However, not all of the people working here are very good at customer service skills and will sadly prioritize helping the regulars over new people or people like me who dont go as often even if you were in line first. (So I understand some of the negative reviews.) I hope that they fix this issue.
Great atmosphere and ambiance, spacious place to play magic the gathering. Muted dark tones, so it isnt obnoxiously bright. Comfortable, sturdy chairs. Custom dual playmats at every table, large video monitors for displaying pairings. Staff was superb. Lots of high quality logo items available.
A big store dedicated to mtg and other board and card games. My son and I attended a drafting on Friday evening and it was well attended. They also had pretty much every other format firing off, including legacy. Im excited to attend more events at this place. I think this will be my default game store from now on.
If you like to play Magic The Gathering then this is one of the best places to go. Games in all formats always fire, they have excellent prize support, and the staff are super nice. If you like playing Legacy then this is the best place to go. If you dont play Magic, and you just want to find a board game, they have a good selection, but you may find yourself sidestepping around larger crowds of magic players and Friday nights can get pretty loud.
Best game shop in the Salt Lake valley. Every staff member is always ready and willing to help. They dont make you feel like an idiot, like some other card shops, if you have a legitimate question about the games. Im willing to make the drive from West Valley, its worth it. New permanent card shop.
So had reasons to go here. One was to feed the dice addiction. Their selection of dice just amazes me. Today I didnt even get to really look though them. I found somethings! Many somethings! Austin and Travis really goes above and beyond making sure everytime I am there I have fun and somehow teach me something! So .... this purchase got out of control quickly. There is a fairy tale based magic the gathering set. I am in LOVE. So went from talking about them to ordering Throne of Eldraine Booster Box. Then Austin pointed out the brand new inventory of Dragon Shield sleeves! I saw the display and fell into pure joy! The art work on these ......So Travis and Austin explained to me how many cards I was getting helped figure out the right amount of sleeves I would need. As well as finding me the perfect sleeves to match me and the deck I am building. We all had a good laugh. Their customer service is superb! No matter the question or how many you have they take that time to help you not with just an answer but an understanding!Oh well dice, maybe next time.
Great place to play board games or card games plenty of options for both! :) the employees have fun playing the games there with those who come in not just there to sell product. I have not personally played Magic there but it does seem to be highly loved for Magic. I have enjoyed playing Final Fantasy TCG there it is one of 2 stores I know of that has it actively going.
The people and employees are friendly and have a good time. All respectful people
The staff was super condescending towards us. People dont walk into a store to be treated like theyre a nuisance, we went there to celebrate my husbands birthday and buy him a few games. We walked out empty handed and angry at the treatment. We arent ever going back!
We were here and we were fascinated by the atmosphere of this place. Here you can meet friends, drink a cold drink, play entertaining games or just talk to friends. You can sign up for tournaments and also buy souvenirs and home games. But it is always better to be among friends and followers.
Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Fair prices.
Great game shop! Good chairs, lots of table space as well as loads of games you can sample/play. They hold lots of events including Magic, board game nights & more.
Great selection of games. Was particularly pleased to find Starfinder materials, which Ive had issues finding locally elsewhere, and the store itself is very nice.
Awesome store. Best game place in the valley. The staff is nice. Store has plenty of room to accommodate a ton of people. Tournaments are ran well, and they listen to their customer base.
Great looking shop. Large space and lots of tables for play. But they literally only have Magic the Gathering cards. No Pokemon, Yugioh, anything. All Magic. That being said, if you love Magic this place is a god send for you. But if you play any other card game. Dont count on this place having any players or cards for you. Not sure why youd have a card shop and focus on 1 of the many popular card games being played.
Always love coming here cuz they take care of you every time.
Friendly clean shop with a great selection of mtg singles and products, board games, and table top models and supplies. Definitely worth a visit.
I was initially very excited to find this store but that feeling was quickly dispelled. My excitement was driven by seeing the Warhammer advertising from the road. When I went inside I asked the clerk when was a good day to catch some 40k. The answer I received was “I don’t know what that is”. I pointed the clerk to the corner of the store that is full of Games Workshop product. His response then was that he doesn’t play that game and there for knows nothing about it. To the store owner your employee is doing you no favors by proudly maintaining an ignorance of the products you are attempting to sell. I’m sure this is a great store if you play Magic The Gathering but if you have any other interests in any other games my fear is that you will be poorly served. Again to the owner of this store your store is very fine indeed and I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my experience and potential reverse my rating. I look forward to a respond to this post. Thank you.
Not great. Staff was standoffish and unhelpful. They have good trade in store credit policies, but aside from that the place is pretty useless. Pretty competitive meta, most people who attend are similar in demeanor to that of the staff. If you are looking to unload some cards for in store credit, this is a good place to go. If youre looking to enjoy yourself and your day, this place wont help.
Great place to play magic the gathering, one of the few stores that holds legacy events. They also have livestreamed games with commentators which I think is very cool. The store is very spacious and at a great location.
Amazing staff and selection. I usually visit them every payday!
Nice place. Went there in the morning. The guys seemed cool and nice and were willing to help me.
Paragon is the ideal store of Utah they strive to improve on anything that you recommend to them as long as its in their power. Open minded and ready to serve the community.
Great, friendly people. The guys here have already made me feel more welcome than a few other stores I have been to recently. Im willing to make the drive to this store for the friendly people here.
Really open and great people and prices! Best game store Ive ever been to
Great staff. Very helpful. Good selection and prices.
Coming in on Friday night are my favorites. I am going through withdraw symptoms due to COVID-19. I look forward to coming back for some commander.
This is an awesome place with a huge selection of games. They also have loaner games that you can rent and try to see if you like. They have a lot of events. Great place!
Awesome new store to play MTG. The staff is really knowledgeable and friendly. Their events are really well organized, and they give out generous prize support. Great selection of MTG cards. Always a great crowd of players here.
Great staff! Super helpful and friendly, and willing to answer questions. Neat and clean store, and lots of room for gaming.
Great staff and super helpful. Worth checking out. Best of all they carry 40k.Thank you
I would not say they have an extensive library but they do have many great games and the ability to order games they are missing to be delivered to the store for you. They also have an area to play games and many games you can try in that area.
Excellent store. One the best for Salt Lake Valley no matter what you play, they have it all.
This place is great, it is community driven and is accepting of all communities. I highly recommend any tabletop gamer, magic player or board get enthusiast to check this place out.
I have really enjoyed interacting with the owner and staff. They are very helpful to local game makers and designers, too.
I forgot my gears last night but they kept it safe for me (Thank you 🙇🏻♂️🙏)They have all kinds of games, and have large open spaces the best part is that they have very nice line up of Fantasy RPG minis.I enjoy coming here to play D&D 5e AL with my D&D friends every week here.
Been there 5 times now and the experience has always been fantastic. Only reason why its not a perfect score is that theres been a few occasions of the game Im looking for not being there. However, theres always been an enjoyable alternative.
Great location. Staff is helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Store is large, clean, and organized. Good selection of board games.
Very cool shop. Most of their floor is taken up by game tables. They sell card games, board games, models and books. There is also a sound-proofed room for recording games, tracks or podcasts. Employees are friendly and helpful. Storefront sign is very small though, making it difficult to spot.
Clean Store. Welcoming Staff. Huge Selection. If you are into board games, CCG, Warhammer this store is perfect. They have a bunch of tables so you dont really have to worry about finding a spot to play.
Ran a great MTG pre release, with so many peeps there.
This place is really neat. Not like your other game stores. Everyone behind the coy,yet is super friendly and fun to talk with.If you are looking for a game spot with something going on almost every night. This is the place.
Its okay. I like Game Night Games and Demolition Games better.
Good place, but the reason I only give 2 stars is because they only buy Magic cards for cash.
Love this place! Always greeted by friendly staff, very clean and kid friendly. I drive past a few other game stores to go here.
Amazing collection of Magic the Gatheeing cards, easily the best Ive seen at a store yet. Clean, pleasant, and professional. Everything I look for in a shop.
No disrespect intended, but it kind of a young nerdy place. I fully expected the characters from The Big Bang to walk through the door. Totally not my idea of fun.
Friendly staff, great prices and great atmosphere. One of my favorite shops. :3
Ah yes, where do I even begin?Paragon City Games, is one of if not the BEST local gaming store to play magic. An amazing crowd of people to hang around with and just chill. If you ever want to learn how to play Magic the Gathering, Warhammer 40k, or just want a new and exciting game to play with.Look no further than the best LGS in the state of UtahParagon City Games.
Great for magic the gathering, lots of tables set up. Also had a GREAT selection of board games and cards sleeves for equal or better than Amazon price!
Great customer service and a very friendly staff. Lots of games and always fun to hang out and play MTG.
Fantastic customer service! Arrived during Rivals prerelease and the staff still took time to take some cards on store credit trade! Very fair and gave me about 80% of value no hassle! They also offered me a place in the Draft even though we were 30 minutes late. This is what the other store owners dreamed their employees could be like! I live two hours from this shop and I am grateful I stopped by! Set the bar high on this one!
If you want to pay a pretty penny for games, come here. But they do have a lot of options.
A game and card shop that is looking to be a premier events center. After attending a few events there and speaking with staff I am very excited for the potential of this store. Great prices and decent selection.
I love Paragon City Games. The store is always clean, the staff and owner as helpful and courteous, and the pricing is great.
Consistent FNM crowd. Frequent events and plenty of seating. Card selection is ok for buying singles. They list a lot online and more a lot of product this way.
Super awesome to have a game store on the South end of the valley. They have what you want, just give them a call and remember to sign up for Friday night Magic!
Great store for card games my sons love.
Board game selection is adequate. went in looking to buy some magic singles and was told that the best way to do that is to look at their tcgplayer store and then come in with a list, but only about half of their stock is on tcgplayer right now. that is a very bad system and i will certainly not be using it.
This store is the nicest card shop I have been to they have Warhammer they have magic they have game night they have all kinds of neat things to do
It is nice clean an d the staff was really helpful... Does not have the biggest selection of board games... But is still a nice place
This gaming store is soooo much fun they dont mind stopping and helping you theyre always greeting you when you walk in the door and you always feel welcome they have magic Warhammer DND Pathfinder Pathfinder paints for the miniatures and board games board games
Staff knows gaming and makes good suggestions. Good selection for rental. Recommend.
Great store, magic players are often there so usually someone to play with. Nice staff also!
Great customer service and atmosphere. I foumd games here I had never seen anywhere else. I also feel it is well organized and easy to find what you are looking for. Theu also have an amazing app and rewards program as well.
I want to give a Huge shout-out to Paragon City Games. They hosted the Stars Wars Destiny Utah Regionals. The entry fee was only $16.50, but that was nothing compared to the prize support they provided. Everyone left with prizes, including at least 2 packs of cards. They also handed out tons of cards to the newer players that attended and gave out extra 2017 and 2018 Store Championship mats to players who did not do so well. A local artist gave out alternative art Entangles and Hidden Motives, which looked great! The TO ran a very tight ship and handled disputes in a professional and friendly manner. Taking third netted me 18 packs of cards and 1st place received a whole box. There locals were dedicated and extremely friendly.
Large space, with plenty of tables. They have a good selection of board games and their events seem very organized.
They have tons of great games to play here, they have games you can play, rent, and but. Drinks are competitively priced as well.
Nice little gameshop with a collection of demo games that you can rent for 5$. They have food and drink available for purchase. They sometimes have events there for a plethora of games. They are missing kombucha, but nobody is perfect.
Great store. Friendly staff. Excellent tournaments. Nuff said.
*updated 1/19/2019*Ive bumped up a star because Ive really felt an effort from employees over the last few months to give good customer service. I just learned that Talon is no longer working there, which makes me feel better about the staff, since the issue Ive described below wasnt the only negative thing Ive seen from him specifically. All other staff except one have really stepped it up, and things have improved. This a good place to come for Magic: The Gathering. Ive been to drafts and tournaments and its a lot of fun with a LOT of like-minded players. The atmosphere is fine, theyve made a good effort to make it comfortable and welcoming. Their prices for sleeves are better than online sometimes. For the most part. That being said, I dont know if their front-counter staff has ever had customer service training or just dont care, but they could be a ton better at service. Recently I went in to buy card sleeves and the young female staff member behind the counter was straightening the boxes of sleeves. She noticed I was waiting and asked if she could help me, but continued straightening the boxes with her back mostly to me. I felt like I was less important than her stock. Also, more than once Ive approached the counter to either claim a credit or make a purchase and Ive made eye contact with an employee behind the counter. That employee then walked away from me and left me standing at the counter with nobody offering to help from the two or three employees behind the counter. As I said, that happened more than once with more than one employee.Maybe its me, not being a typical gaming male customer, or even a semi-beautiful person, but even if that were the case Id hope theyd make an effort to make ALL feel welcome and important. Also, I watched a draft recently where two of the employees drafted with the players. One employee, Talon, wasnt even watching the match-ups for the second round (he was standing at the counter in conversation with a customer) and the person he was playing, Carrie, had to wait while another employee went and told Talon that he was supposed to be playing. I think Carrie sat waiting for more than 5 minutes. Then when Talon came over to play he spent almost the entire first game texting on his phone. Later he loudly claimed Carrie had won the round when that wasnt true, and Carrie later told me that it made her feel really disrespected and small, and embarrassed, especially since everyone in the vicinity had to turn and see who Talon was talking about and Carrie isnt an experienced MTG player. Ive rarely seen a player disrespected in that way, especially a fairly new player whos still feeling their way.Alton W. is the saving grace for this place. Ive NEVER seen him be disrespectful or rude, and hes clearly invested in making sure the customers are happy and comfortable.Ill probably keep going to Paragon, but it would be really nice if the staff made more of an effort to cater to ALL people regardless of their gaming experience level or their beauty level or their friendship level or whatever it is that keeps the staff from giving it their all.
The owners really bend over backwards to make sure that their customers have a positive experience. They are passionate about becoming the best game store in the area and are rapidly achieving that goal.
This place is pretty great. What really sets them apart is their mini selection for DnD. Their prices are on the lower end generally.
Great place for board games or and trading card games. Strong magic the gathering community.
Friendly and well-run, with a good selection of dice and games. Tables for playing looked good too.
Paragon City Games is has an open atmosphere with a wall of 10 foot high windows, clean tables, and overall welcome feeling from staff and other players. Excited to see the stores growth as it progresses in the next year.
Best place to go, hang out, play some games and just relax. Great selection of games and great staff
