The staff was nice and very informative. I appreciate them thoroughly explaining what I needed done on my vehicle and why. Its a great place to take your car. Thank you very much.
Excellent service! Ive taken a variety of cars to him and nothing has been a problem. Over 35 years of great service!!
Jen and Rick at Automotive Consultants were great to work with! They were professional and looked out for my best interests when working on my minivan. I highly recommend them.
I wanted to give them negative stars, but no option. They are fraud and scammers. They will try to squeeze money out of you by telling lies. Dont trust them. My car got broke and went to them and he gave me an estimate of $600. He was trying to make fool out of me. I got this repaired with another auto repair for just only $190. Dont ever go to them ever in life. They should be taught lesson that they have to pay a huge price for their behavior.
Tony and his family owned business is the BEST out there. They offer excellent customer service, they are very attentive and very helpful owners. This was my seventh vehicle I purchased from Tony and I am sure I will be back in a year from now. This was the second vehicle I purchased from Tony without seeing it first. I trust Tony because his word is his bond and I know he will be my advocate when I call on him. I have never had a bad experience with My Auto man. Highly recommended Tony to my friends and family. Keep up the great work My Auto Man.U-Da-Man!!
Ive brought my Toyota Highlander here for years. Rick has ALWAYS had my best interest & I respect him VERY much. His daughter is awesome as well. He does good work & he gets you back on the road in a timely manner. Wonderful family & great business!!
Rick is the best! He will give you the straight scoop on what you need, and importantly what you don’t need!
Brought car in for alignment and service was performed as needed.
I have finally found my mechanic in the Bay Area. Ive been a Bay Area resident for 35 years and have taken my rides to everything from the Dealer to the Big auto care spots. Rick was the first owner / mechanic to walk me to my truck, show me the issue and tell me the real options I had to resolving the problem - not just thats X and its going to cost $XX. Peace-of-mind is priceless in health and auto and I definitely have the later locked down with Rick taking care of my 10 year old truck.
I broke down in Dublin on the way to Washington and was referred to AC by Americas Tire. Rick and his crew were super friendly and patient and they REALLY hustled to get me back on the road by the end of the day on a Friday. They are AWESOME!
Rick is a great guy, and you will know why people like him and his shop when you meet him. Great crew he got.
The nicest guy ever, I went to the store at closing time but he was happy to help me
It was fast accurate reasonable they are very knowledgeable and polite
Would not recommend. I had him do a new clutch and flywheel he replave the slave cylinder which was new and brought it back because the pedal was still sticking he then replaced the whole pedal mechanism it still stuck.but he didnt replace the master cylinder which should have been part of the 2500 clutch job. Just felt milked.
I took my car in for a wheel alignment and brake issues. Ac automotive consultants found the brake issue and fixed it at no charge. Thank you Rick and crew.
Rick worked on my Friends 2003 Accord and did 90k timing belt change. Car runs like new and price was much less than any wear else! Awesome work!
Stay away as far as you can from Rick. He seems like a nice guy, but he isnt. He starts an argument over everything. He serviced my car. Its a Mark 6 Golf GTI. It needed an oil change, and the correct oil to use is 5w40 fully synthetic. But, once I got the car back, there was a very small leak, just a dribble. I took the car back, and learned that he didnt put a washer back on the sump nut. Then, he went the other direction, and tightened the sump nut so much that it couldnt be undone. I learned this when my car said it needed a service fairly soon. I decided to get an oil change done, filter as well. My car was taken to a place that just does oil changes. Its ran by a woman, and she is brilliant. She took a look at the oil, and it was black sludge. Rick either didnt change the oil at all, or put old dirty oil in. The other problem was, when she went to open the sump nut to drain the oil, she couldnt get the nut off. It was totally over-tightened; she had to go through the dipstick to drain the oil. DO NOT let Rick or any of his workers anywhere NEAR your car.
Pretty helpful. Theyll helped even when they were going to shut down. Pretty nice of them.
Rick is an honest repair man and always gets the job done right! Thank you so much!
Great! Especially for military.
Jenn at the front desk is an absolute sweetheart! She is very helpful and has been great at helping me come up with a solution to my problem. Rick is very knowledgable and pleasant to work with. I had a problem with my compressor, and brought it in for a second opinion. I brought my original estimate and had them check against that. Ricks team ended up costing about $300 less, refuting what the original estimate said I needed.Although I just moved from the area, I would happily recommend my friends to take their business to Rick.
Great service, great knowledge and totally trustworthy.
Awesome people, kind and skilled, the know there stuff
I have a 2011 BMW X5 diesel with approximately 73,000 miles on it. BMWs recommended service schedule says the transmission fluid is for lifetime. I purchased this car new (not a lease) and intend to drive it for about 200,000 miles. As part of my preventive maintenance I wanted the transmission fluid changed. More specifically I wanted to exchange as much of the old fluid with the new one - without resorting to a power flush.Besides being very expensive, many BMW dealers didnt want to change the transmission fluid and gave various reasons as to why it should not be done. I knew my transmission was in very good working condition and issues related to moving the crud around did not apply to me.I sought out Rick Camacho at Automotive Consultants and asked if he could do this fluid exchange for me. Rick has done several wheel alignments for me in the past - I go to Rick because I want my wheel alignment set to a specific value, not just get the alignment into spec. and call it done. Rick has always delivered.Rick and I discussed what I wanted done - not just a simple drain, but try and get as much of the transmission fluid out as possible plus change the filter/pan. If this job is not done right (as in not following the bolt tightening pattern, etc.) you can create new problems - fluid leaks, etc. As expected Rick did a FANTASTIC job - yes the car continues to not shed a drop of oil! What sets Rick apart are efforts like this one: Rick gave me a choice of fluid I can use on this transmission - BMW branded fluid or ZF branded fluid. ZF is the manufacturer of this particular transmission. Once Rick had the part number for my transmission he called his friend at San Mateo who only deals with ZF transmission.Rick gave him the part number for the transmission and his friend told Rick the exact ZF fluid used by ZF on this specific transmission. Rick then called me and suggested I follow his friends suggestion. It turns out this fluid was slightly cheaper - and yes Rick charged me the lower price, not his initial quote!Rick started off with Porsche but now works on Mercedes, BMW, Audi and other foreign as well American brands. Yes I wholeheartedly recommend Rick if you are looking for an honest auto mechanic who will treat you fairly as well as takes deep pride in getting the job done right every single time.
