I have lots of used books and heard about this place. I found the clerk helpful and pleasant. I will probably take my books there. Problem for me is waiting there, not suppose to leave the store until the books are reviewed.

Huge selection....as always you need to plan ahead with ample time... unless you know what you are looking for.Staff is courteous and very helpful.I asked for a book....which they didnt have... they ordered it for me from there Texas store for even less Price.Books are nicely organized with subjects and alphabet order.Some old books in mint condition...each book is tagged with Price.Parking is not well designed...so be careful.Worth a visit...its next to Wendys and a discount shoe store, Marshall and Ross. On the opposite side is Daiso...and Ranch 99 and Jamba juice...

Great place, cheap books, helpful employees, large collection. Amazing. But why does the Concord book store always have what Im looking for when Im in Dublin, crazy. Eh, its fine. I would recommend this place and I would recommend calling and asking if what you want is preasant before spending 20 minutes driving all the way down to Dublin.

This is a great book store for some good old fashion book browsing. Bring some of your unwanted books with you and turn them in for a discount off your purchase, just be prepared to wait a while as they look through the book you brought.Teachers: half price books will donate used books to your classroom library! Just ask at the front desk.

Super organized and clean place. The prices are pretty good, and they have a huge selection of practically every type of book you could ever need; I found exactly what I was looking for, as well as a lot of extra! They even have rare books, notebooks, CDs, DVDs and a lot of other miscellaneous things that are book and stationery related. Will definitely visit again!

Hands down my happy place. They have so much! Used books, new books, used and new music and dvds. Games, gifts, socks, puzzles....almost anything you could want.

I went here with my cousin so she could sell her books to the store. They take books you do not want, but not all of them. The reason for 4 star is because they made us wait an entire hour just for them to check the books They bought all her books except for one and she got some good money back for the books they bought from her. We also browsed store for the hour we were waiting and its a great store.

I have been shopping at Half Price Books locations for the past 25 years in San Antonio, Concord and this one in Dublin. They have great selection of books, music, movies games and novelties. They are wonderfully organized so that you can find what you want and passionate, helpful staff when you are looking for something in store or another store.

Bigger than the one in Fremont! They also have a fair selection of BluRays, CDs, and video games. Actually, its more fun to browse here than at the local B&N.

Good place to get kids books.

I love coming here. The people are helpful, the books are plentiful. Theres not much more you can ask for. Every time I come I find some new unexpected treasure I didnt know I needed. Weve found my father records, my husband video games, my mother knitting books, and now childrens books for my baby.I wish they started trading books earlier in the day, but other than that theyve always been polite and helpful to my whole family.

Great place to give old books a second life, but only if book is on the selection list. Due to covid and unavailable donation centers HPB is unable to accept unwanted books for recycling. HPB notes accepting VHS and DVD, but few if any were. Save yourself the trouble of hauling in VHS tapes and toss into your own recycle bin.

I got a game here. MLB the show 16, nice metal case, limited edition. Older game, but it still works. Label also said it was mlb the show 16. On the way home I opened it and found mlb the show 14 inside. Seems like an oversight for a book store.

Went on Sunday almost 1pm. Store was relaxed and uncrowded. They are buying books every day 10a-6p. I used one of the many carts to bring in my books and CDs. Super friendly staff took my stuff and I was called in less than 10 mins. Bought all the books and some of the CDs. This is my 2nd time and they were great.

Nice enough place to drop by, you never know what old gem you might find.

I got an mlb game here. The label and price tag both said MLB the show 16. The disk inside however is mlb 14. Seems like a reading oversight for a book store.

I was publicly shamed by the red head girl in the back for having asthma and wearing my mandate approved shield. I will never come back to this store. I dont deserve to be humiliated because I have asthma.

Wow! This place has everything! I got a set of massage stones for my gf thats a masseuse. Just about everything is marked down too! Theyve even got classic books in hardbound for under $10 and in leather bound for about $30.... doesnt get any better than that!!! Surprisingly, everything is in new or excellent condition. They have reduced hours so call ahead and take the time to browse.

Consider it a quite place to treasure hunt. Movies, music, collectibles, video games, comics, and of course books. Youll likely find something you probably didnt need but sure do want!

Amazing bookstore in Dublin! There are lots and lots of items for all ages. They carry books of all genres that will appeal to most. Customer service is great as well, they are always nice and polite. I love this bookstore and I hope it stays here forever!

Great store for used books (much cheaper than full price). They will buy most of your used books, too. Very nice people. The selection is hit or miss, but that is to be expected. Great value

Location is easy to find, theres plenty of parking, and there are a lot of great deals on used books. We spent 2 hours just browsing through the shelves, looking at fun new books, and we came away with more than we meant to buy. Closest experience to what you get at Powell Books in Portland that Ive found in CA.

Excellent half price book store with a very good selection. If you really want quality used books at a good price this place is better than the, admittedly cooler, used book stores I’ve visited in SF (near the mission).Also, they sell used video games and dvds. The selection is good and decently priced. It is worth double checking on the amazon for better offers though.Finally, about quarterly they do very good sales, up to 50%, with few restrictions.

I had a great customer service experience in finding a series of books for me and my son. One lady knew exactly where to look! Which is not easy in a store that big. I wish they would display their graphic novels like they used to, where they could showcase a few of them. But its a great store to find cheap books and cheap movies.

A great place to take your kids if they love to read. We used to live in the Bay and I would go here all the time. I took my daughter there and got her 5 books and spent only 18 bucks.

I love to browse the selection of used books and comics here! The place is always clean and organized, with employees always willing to help locate a book! Its one of my favorite places to go to when I want to relax- able to casually browse books, games, movies, etc. for hours!

The name says it all. Just got some travel books for less than half of what anywhere else has them and they look pristine. Go here first before going to any other book store.

This is my kids favorite place. Seems like we walk out every time with a big stack of books for a fraction of the cost elsewhere. Dont know how they stay in business but my family is really glad they do. Really nice people work here as well.

Just didnt have what I was looking for. Because o covid they have moved a lot of things around and the childrens section was much smaller than normal.

Living in Pleasanton for 6 months (and returning weekly another 6 months), the Dublin Half Price Books was my favorite regular place to visit. So, being back in the area I had to stop by...and I wasnt disappointed. Huge selection of books, videos, and music (plus more) with gems throughout.And, they may not all be half price, but they are definitely great deals. :-)

Super store: music cd for few bucks, rare books, interesting findings each time I visit the store. There is great selection of books for any kind. And my favorite- used games.

One of my favorite spots. If you find something in the clearance section, you get a real bargain. The used books are priced okay. I especially love their selection of note cards. Absolutely spectacular values. At Christmas their cards are a super value and fine quality.

They have a great selection of CDs and LPs . Going to have to get use to the social distancing rule buts GREAT place to shop for books especially.

One of my favorite store, with rotating stock and solid prices. While you dont get a lot for selling books, they accept a wider array of items. They also have a good system for buying books between stores, and will ship to you for low postage.

Have always loved going to half price books. Love their affordable pricing and beautiful selection of toys and trinkets throughout the store. I love their kids books section. Great to see a varied collection of books on all things interesting. The toys section is small but every other they house is useful and engaging. Everytime we go, we love getting a lot of nice stuff for very affordable prices.Few other things worth mentioning about the store us, its extremely well organized and clean. The staff s are knowledgeable, cordial and friendly and they help with finding whatever you are looking for. So far I have had quick check out as well. Would love to go back for more books and cool stuff.

I love the concept of Half Price Books. It’s great. One store where new and old books are housed, sold, and bought to resell. Odd little trinkets throughout the store and affordable prices for everything.Wish there were more of these stores available it really is a great concept and is a great help to book lovers looking for both new and old books, hard to find books or rare books, which I’m not really sure what that means. Maybe one day I’ll remember to ask.Another great thing about these stores is the idea to sell books rather than just donating them, it may not be a lot of money that you get back for your books, but a little something can better than nothing.The few drawbacks I’ve found with these stores are the time it can take to sell back Books, CD’s Movie’s, or anything else they will accept. If you’re buying a used book, it can be pretty beat up, and the stores I’ve been in haven’t been very well lit.The Dublin store, is pretty large, ample parking not congested, for the most part their staff is helpful and nice, and easy to find and get to. Its just off the 580 freeway on Dublin Blvd.

They have a lot of cute and neat products here. And some of the pretty calendars you can get for a dollar each. Theres a lot of pretty journals that you can give as gifts. Service is knowledgeable and friendly. It really feels like a local community bookstore.
