I was looking at purchasing a new bike and getting back into biking. Me and my family have bought bikes and equipment here before so we know that they provide excellent service. My parents went up and bought bikes and some days later I went up and got all my questions answered and put a down payment on a new bike! Brian and Sam were both extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Brian even went out of his way to find a bike rack that was compatible with my car and my parents Jeep. Will be returning in the future when I plan to upgrade.

If we were going to buy a new bike. We would drive back to Free Flight to purchase new bikes from Brian. And that is saying a lot since its about a 14 hour drive. I enjoyed the easy rental system Free Flight provides for their bikes. It was a breeze to fill out the form to rent a bike and I picked it up at my scheduled time. When it was time to return the bike all I had to do was give the bike to an employee and I didnt need to anything else! It was easy as 1, 2, 3!

Bike Fitting - Exceptional service

My daughters bike needed a new rear axle (hers was stolen). I took the bike to the store where Sam pleasantly greeted me, removed the bike from my SUV, took it in the store, fixed it with parts that were in stock, made an adjustment on the front wheel for us, and loaded it back into my SUV, charged me reasonably for the part and not extra for the service (which was exceptional and fast).The only reason my rating isnt a 5 is that they dont provide a half-day (4-hour) rental for a rate lower than the full day rental. I will give credit for offering to deliver and pick up the bikes from Heritage Trail for a reasonable price.

Brian helped me set up my first road bike. He went through all of the basics - shifting, brakes, clipless pedals and offered lots of additional advice for getting more comfortable on the bike. Along with the fitting he helped me purchase all the basics for gear to help get me started. I had an awesome experience and will definitely be coming back for everything I need :)

Needed work done on some old skis and boots, the boots couldnt be saved, but I got everything done I needed to hit the slopes w my kids.

The expert Staff took the extra time to fit me for ski boots that fit me specifically they were happy to spend all the time we needed to get the fit right and insure that I would have a great experience on the slopes.

Free flight has given great service. They provide a tune up at the beginning of the season when the bike has been purchased there so were ready to ride when the weather warms. The staff provides helpful customer service.

Came in with a pair of skis that needed to be set up with their bindings. The man that helped me was quick and to the point. Took them out after it took him only 30 minutes and they worked out great on the slopes.

So hard to find a brick & mortar ski shop these days. Even harder to find one that sells quality gear, stands behind their service and is knowledgeable as the staff at Free Flight is. When it came to buying a new pair of ski boots, I wasnt leaving it to online shopping or crossing my fingers that Id get the right boots. Brian at FF was very helpful, knew exactly what he was talking about and spent the time needed, before and after the sale, to ensure the boots fit and that I was satisfied. While they sell a lot more than ski gear, its clear that Free Flight is a outstanding shop, all around.

I like Trek bikes, I really like Trek bikes and Free Flight has never let me down in obtaining a new Trek or obtaining the oddball aftermarket things that I like to add to my bikes. When I pick up a new bike, it is ready to hit the road/trail, because they have on record all the necessary measurements specifically for me and the bike is dialed in before I walk through the shop door. Free Flight has been my place to go for bikes, bikes stuff, and toys to play in the snow the past eight years; ever since I moved to Dubuque. The owner, the staff, all highly qualified, knowledgeable, and friendly; and they are all are avid bicyclists.
