Was quoted a price for a set of new tires. Called before my appointment to see if the tires were in, and was told, Yes, youre good to come on in.When I arrived for my appointment I was told they didnt have my tires, but that they would give me the same deal on a different set. I agreed. Was told it would be an hour and a half wait.After 2 and 1/2 hours the store was closing, they asked me to come up and pay before my tires were even on my vehicle. The price came up $300 more than the quote. I refused to pay, the told me without an emailed quote they would not be able to give me the discount quote. When I refused again, they came down a little bit in price but I ended up paying way more than quoted.

Scott got me and my grandparents in for a quick tire change on Monday morning and we are so thankful for Firestone in Dubuque. Very nice location and staff. I am very thankful them being willing to get us in with short notice. Highly recommend this location!

Firestone never leaves me disappointed. I recommend speaking to Tim F when asking about maintenance and tires. Tim is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure customer happiness and because of him I will be back time and time again.

I set up an appointment to replace two tires, got there today slightly before, to give the keys over and fill our any paperwork that I may have. I Wasnt told how long it would take so I decided to walk and grab a bite to eat. I came back and waited, after an hour elapsed I asked how much longer it would be the person responded with thats a good question. He look our the windo to the garage and said theyre working on it right now. Then another hour went by they finally brought out my jeep. It took them two hours to replace two tires, I was offered no apology for the wait....

Went in to get my oil changed and wiper blades replaced. Typically have wonderful service here. This time the appt was schedule for 3pm and I waited for almost two hours until everything was finished. They did not even start on my car until almost 4, when it appeared that employees were just standing around, doing nothing. Extremely frustrating.

I do not recommend getting your car serviced here! I went to get my windshield fluid system replaced, twice. Both times the wrong part was ordered and then by the time I was informed about the issue, it was too late in the day to get the part. I ended up waiting over two hours just to be told to come back another day. I also received a list of parts that needed to be replaced and the mechanics tried talk me into getting everything from the list fixed. When I told them that I wasnt going to spend that kind of money, they tried to talk me into making an appointment to come in at a later time to get the work on my car finished. After going to another mechanic I learned that the parts on the list were not in need of replacement. They gave me this list to get more money from me! In the end I never got my windshield fluid system or any of the recommended parts replaced. As a result of this horrible experience, I have a hard time trusting mechanics and refuse to go to one unless it is absolutely necessary. Never again will I take my car to get serviced at Firestone!

They are expensive but they are honest about what needs to be done and what doesnt.

The best in town.went to tire store on rail road ave in dubuque. All bays open, but just didnt have the time for me. Went to Firestone and got in and out right away and they were packed.

I do NOT recommend this place whatsoever. I took my vehicle to get fixed, told them what was wrong and they didn’t fix any of it. Waste of my money and time. Not impressed with the customer service either! I’ll find somewhere better to actually fix my car.

Absolutely terrible experience. Just needed my tires replaced, but let them talk me into a few other cheap updates. They took my brake calipers off and couldnt get them back on, so they charged me for new ones ($170 each) plus $200 of labor. Ended up being charged $1000 more than I expected. Will never go back or recommend.

Car wouldn’t start so we had it towed to Firestone cuz no where else to go. Picked up the car today and was charged for $400 for a starter change.. and a few miles after we left the shop, the check engine light came on. We got a free engine check at auto zone nearby, turned out the engine is in critical condition.. Firestone let us pick up the car without fixing the actual problem, and charged for $400. And they didn’t even tell us about the engine problem!!Avoid this place AT ALL COST. THEY ARE NOT HONEST!!!!!

These guys were awesome and saved the day. Brenda was amaze-balls; super friendly and upbeat. Give that girl a raise (or commission) because she even talked me into new tires (and I was not there for that, my car was broke!). Everything worked out, and I was happy with the results.

The manager Scott went above and beyond to ensure we had uninterrupted evening holiday family plans while visiting family in Dubuque. He further exceeded our expectations by finding us an even better value than our home store by researching and utilizing a coupon promo and our military discount, something our home store where we had obtained pricing anticipating replacing the set after first of the year hadn’t even mentioned. Instead of a punctured tire repair we ultimately purchased an entire new set early due to this location’s willingness to show us we’re a valued customer. We will utilize this location again when we have the option vs. other Tires Plus/Firestone/Bridgestone locations!

Went in at 9:00am for a plug and patch on 1 tire. Was told they couldnt do anything for me until the next day. I will never go back to any Firestone. Ever.

Got a full set of new tires put on here yesterday. The tires are good and the pick-up service was good, but at the drop off the guy really treated me like I didn’t know what i was talking about and it took over 7 hours just to get the tires changed. Paying more to get slower service compared to other local competitors doesn’t really seem to make much sense to me

100% Worthless business. Made an appointment for oil change 3 days in advance. On day of appointment, after 1hr. 15 min of still not seeing my truck even pulled into garage, asked for keys back. Service manager never even asked why or apologized. Must be the norm here. How are you even still in business?

My Firestone experience was really great. They only performed an oil change but did so under $30.00. They didnt come back to me with a list of extras to pad the bill, as experienced from other places. Very customer service orientated. I will be back for future car maintenance needs.

Little pricey, but service is awesome. Gal at the front desk is awesome. Would rather spend a little extra for quality, then wonder if Joe blow at Walmart, put my lug nuts on tight.

Great prices on all types of tires. Got 4 Pirelli tires, lifetime balance and alignment plus road hazard protection less than anyone, even on-line. The install took a little longer than promised but the tire were extra load low profile, so mounting difficulties can be expected. Checking out there where no price change from my quote and all personnel were very friendly and knowledgeable. Overall a good experience.

I brought two cars here and did a full diagnostic on both. The people that helped me with my car gave me accurate and helpful prices and recommendations. I trust what they told me and look forward to doing business with them again.

Every time I go there Im treated like family! They explain what the issues are, the needed repairs and price. They get me in and out lickety-split. Why would I go anywhere else?

They did a good job fixing my car when I had a broken strut and needed an alignment. It took a lot longer than quoted however. They also tried to tell me I needed to get both struts replaced despite only one being broken to balance things out. It seemed legit but both my VW dealer and my mechanic said that was unnecessary, they just wanted to charge me almost double. Repair itself was done well.

Had a serious issue blamed on floor matt 3 months ago. Wasnt checked over by Service Manager. 2 weeks following have no floor matts. Dealers new car warranty expired and passing accelerator got stuck at 85 mph per hour again. Was charged to have it looked at & was told how much it would cost to be fixed.That was lousy. They have multiple new and used car dealerships all over.The vehicle was taken in today air conditioning not working, needed freon.I took it to another garage. I hardly drive and one serious/dangerous malfunction.

Would not recommend this place or this company. We bought two sets of tires here, one set all season and one set winter. We were told that we would have FREE mounting and balancing every time we changed seasons for life. For the first three years that was exactly the case and we have never paid anything. Called today to set up our appointment to change out our seasonal tires and were informed that they will now be charging us per corporate policy. They said that whoever was selling during the time we bought our tires was lying to customers about the free lifetime changes and would no longer honor the exact reason we bought the tires. While we do understand that they may have made a mistake years ago, we also believe that a company like this should stand behind what was sold in the past or at least send out a notice and come up with some sort of compromise. Not wait until you set up your appointment to inform you. Also forgot to mention that in the past they have also taken our chrome caps. A minor thing but it does show the integrity of some of their workers as we see some others have had things come up missing.

I had a 2 p.m. oil change appointment said to take an hour. I came back in 50 minutes to wait and they had not started. I left without an oil change. I will give them another chance since Ive had better service in the past.

Very helpful on a holiday weekend to replace my tire that was impaled with a large piece of metal. Brenda was especially very friendly and courteous!

I strayed from my normal auto service dealer and fell into one of the advertised brake specials at Firestone. After the $79 brake job turned into $698, I asked for my vehicle back and declined the work. I returned to my regular auto shop to have the brakes inspected, and they recommended what I NEEDED, not a bunch of up-sell-auto-tech-gumbo that I got from Firestone. The staff there was nice, and dealing with another female was a relief, but I feel they were trying to take advantage of me.

I am visiting from Ohio and driving up here I noticed that the tires had a shimmy. I called and talked to Joe, explained the problem and he told me if I could get there before 330 PM,, he would fit me in. Well Scott took care of me and fixed the problem and I was out of there in an hour. I have been a Firestone customer for many years and this was the type of service that I have come to know and expect. /they did not dissapoint. Great job guys and thanks for taking care of me.

I have a Ford Explorer and was having the hardest time getting anyone in Dubuque to find time to fix it. I called Firestone and had the best customer service experience I have ever had in my life. They took my car in within a hour of getting off the phone with them. They also worked with my warranty company to make sure I did everything right to get the charges covered. After two hours of having my car unfortunately they were unable to fix it the car either, but they helped me find a shop that could. The lovely lady Brenda and Firestone serves team listened to concerns and me cry at the same time. I would recommend this establishment to anyone having car trouble.

Work seems to be ok. With an appointment I waited 2 hrs. 1 hr. 5 min. Before they pulled it in. They seem to be nice, but plan on several hours when you take a car there.

Took my vehicle here and asked them to have a look at my 4x4 because it wouldnt engage. They took about 25 minutes and came back out and told me they couldnt figure it out without taking it apart. That was understandable. I get back in my vehicle and go to drive home and the vehicle wouldnt shift out of first! It would only go 8MPH. So I pulled back in and looked at the 4x4 and it was in 4Low. I asked them what happened and they said it was like that when I pulled it in. I explained that I took Dodge at 50 MPH to get there and that it wasnt possible. None of us could get it back to 2WD so they tried to explain it away by telling me I he a worn transmission and it wasnt their fault. I eventually got it out of 4WD but it wasnt a good experience!

I still remember the last time I went to a Firestone. They charged me for hazard insurance without asking. They also charged for tire disposal when I was keeping the tires.

The work was fine, but I went there with a pair of 300 dollar custom made Oakley Sunglasses, when I left they were gone, I went back and nothing was done about it. Will never go back.

Partly my fault, I’m a slow learner. Even with appointments extremely slow service. Have had repeated instances of having to wake them up to the fact that I’ve been waiting for over an hour without having my truck pulled in. This last time I showed up an hour early, they switched my orders with a walk in that came in at same time, so despite showing up early, truck didn’t get into shop until an hour after appointment. I will not be back.

Second time I called and it rang forever and then Lynn picked up and I started off with I think I was hung up on and she hung up. Anyone know a mechanic who can operate a phone? I just need to replace a headlight.
