I have bought many jewelry pieces from global village. Always a great experience and lovely art. A couple weeks ago I was looking at a moonstone charm, at the time I 100% remember it being marked as $50, I remember telling the girl at the counter how cheap that was for such a large moon stone. I told her I would be back next week to purchase it if I could not get it off my mind or if someone did not buy it. Upon my arrival today to buy it I noticed they changed the price from $50 to $80! Ha! So I guess someone showing interest increases the price. I noticed how there was a new tag on it, she tried to tell me how “old it looks”… the tag did not look old at all, I was not going to argue. They missed out on a sale trying to be sneaky. Really disappointed in global village for trying to pull something so shady. Just say “you realized the value” and had to raise the price… I’m not an idiot.

I absolutely adore Global Villiage, their staff is always friendly and they have the BEST items for sale! I used to shop at their Superior St. location forever ago almost weekly. I love the current location but still miss the old one a bit more. Overall, still an awesome store though!

Cultural appropriation. Itd be better if they actually explained where they got all of their authentic stuff and what the purpose is of those items.... Otherwise youre just profiting off another culture so.. Yeah no thanks.

Service was rude.I attended the store with a friend and her children. It was clear from the beginning that we were not welcome or wanted.The store reminded me of a 1990s hippie outlet. I did not really like it, but it was important to my friend to spend some time there.I kept to myself while waiting when the owner approached me and asked me to move to a different location. This just confirmed the energy I already felt of not being wanted. If it wasnt freezing outside I would have left long ago.Rachel, the owner has put much time and energy into creating Global Village. I did love the green plants in the windows.

Wow! We loved every second of our time spent at this shop! It’s so cool to see how much thought, intent, and detail was put into every inch of the space. There’s an eclectic mix of novelties for all ages. Clothing, accessories, home decor, cards, pins, patches, etc! We will absolutely stop here every time we’re in town.

This is my wifes favorite store in Duluth. Staff is always friendly. We bought some clothes, jewelry, perfume and of course got a giant buddha there. Highly recommended if you like exotic decorative with emphasis on Asian and African flair. Will definitely come back.

My favorite store in Duluth! Not only do they have amazing, unique, and ethically attained products, but they also have the kindest and most wholesome staff Ive ever meet. I only visit on occasion, but I always feel like family when I do! Their move down to Canal Park was bittersweet, but their new location is AMAZING. If you are shopping around Duluth, make sure you stop by Global Village!

Great store in the heart of Canal Park! They have many many jewelery items from rings to necklaces many with semi precious stones. The prices are very reasonable and the quality is outstanding. Many clothing items to include actual used sarees from women in India. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. Great store!

I really felt the quality of the items were not worth the prices. All of the clothes i purchased came apart and the other no elty items i purchased were broke before i could use them. One of the cashiers cant count and the owner is very rude and stare at you while your shopping. I will never return

The only reason Im rating 5 stars is because this is a nice store and I dont want to hurt the business over one WILDLY UNPROFESSIONAL cashier. I came into the store on saturday march 3rd at around 2:30 pm and thought it was a very interesting store. Upon checking out, the young male cashier looked me up and down as i was talking about what a wonderful store this is only to respond with a very rude and short mmhmm. I perceived this to be a unnecessarily hostile considering the caucasion woman before me (who was also from out of town and thus had no relation to him) had a very pleasant conversation with this man. I very much like this store and understand that a negative review would hurt the business more than this particular cashier but i feel as though this employee should be talked to about the incident at a minimum.

An amazing place!

I used to love this store for the goods they carried, but today the attitude and service I experienced had me walking out the door for the last time. In a nearly empty store my partner and I with our son were browsing, when my son, as 4 yr olds do, announced he needed to go potty. Now. We walked out the back and checked the map, sure enough, that back room in the store is a bathroom so we go ask if my 4 yr old could please use their bathroom. She directed me to leave the store and go to the porta potty located in the parking lot kitty corner from the store. I have shopped here since they were downtown, but today ended that. Unbelievable. I am absolutely livid. As my son said that lady wasnt very nice to us mom.

The cashiers are very misleading on what the return policy is. Can’t return earrings and its store credit only. Ended up spending $120 but wanted return about half of it and couldn’t.

Happened to be visit the store on vacation and had a medical issue but was forbidden from using the bathroom. The shop keeper seemed to be very intolerant of any special needs of customers.

It was okay but over priced and the employees all acted like everyone was going to steal from them was kinda a turn off
