Great shop! I spent way too much money but got some amazing deals! Im more of a statue shopper and they have an awesome selection. The comics are well organized and priced to sell! Ill be going back next week, no doubt about it.

I havent been here in several years, and even though I didnt find what I was looking for, this is still a great shop! This is a great place to come for comic books, vintage and newer toys and action figures. I was looking for DnD miniatures at the time and came because all the other comic book stores were not open yet. I found a manga issue I was missing, and bought that instead. Id youre in the area, definitely take a peek inside!

Think twice before you purchase from this company they treat their employees low as dirt so if you want to buy somewhere that treats their employees behind the scenes in a very in intoxicating way think twice never would I thought that a comic book store would have this such an impact of being a terrible place to work.

They have short boxes full of issues for $2 each and more for $5 and more in alphabetical order. Its a great place to find old issues for cheap if youre willing to sort through the boxes. They get a lot of stuff in all the time.

Spectacular! I bought over a dozen statues today and got a great deal on them. The comics are so well organized and they have collectables for a wide range of interests. Definitely a return visit location.

Been here a couple of times, was referred to by a friend from the area, since I live almost an hour away...It is definitely worth the trip, amazing selection of whatever you may need and very well priced items.I have gone mostly for Transformers figures, but they have basically everything you need.The staff is very friendly. Would definitely recommend you take a visit.

Stopped by on my way through town as Ive had some online experiences with them (Both good and bad) and after treading some of these reviews Im confident to avoid business with them. Their prices are rather high for silver age and their discounted section didnt make the books feel discounted but more of a marked up sticker in a discounted bin, apparently they base their prices off ebay. They have a large selection of books but you have to make sure you look in multiple areas of the store as their grouped more so discount of the book rather by the title and that was really frustrating. Customer service was poor and it made me actually put my books back and leave. The guy wasnt helpful or at least not very friendly until my wife and I were checking out as when I asked to see books in the shelf he did not seem to be amused and was rather cold that I asked to do something.Theyre the only store in a short distance in SW Dallas/Ft Worth but Ill make sure to drive the extra distance to a better comic store.Edit: apparently Ive been banned from their Facebook page because I left a bad review. They tout their good reviews and punish their bad reviewers, of course blame the customer because they had a bad experience. Ill definitely make sure to avoid them now. Best of luck to this shop regardless

This place is a hidden gem. It had been in my list of stores for probably a couple of years, but I had never been to visit. I got off work early one day last week and decided to drop in on the way home. Good decision (bad decision that I waited so long). I instantly fell in love with the place. Be forewarned it is in a weird location. It is right off Camp Wisdom at that weird double light intersection that turns on to Main. You have to drive down this little alley behind another building at the back of the parking lot. It is primarily a comic book and collectibles shop. The game selection that I looked at was limited compared to some other shops (the reason for 4 stars instead of 5). They may be able to special order. I did not inquire. I spent over an hour browsing and came nowhere close to getting to look at everything. I am quite sure I will be back many times. I do know they host events. There may be more to the game side of the business I did not see. If that is the case I will edit the review further. If you are in the Duncanville area you cant go wrong giving this crew a visit.

If theres one place in the metroplex to go and find a comic book, or Pop, or Action figures, it would be Duncunville Bbok Store ! Their selection of collectibles is phenomenal ! Between the almost full size Spiderman to the rare action figures in every size, its hard not to want to buy everything! And they dont stop there, the staff is ready to help and very friendly. If you have any questions, they have the answer or will go out of their way to find the answer for you. In my opinion, this is one of the best places to browse and try and locate what your looking for in Comic books, or whatever ! Take my word, come and see for yourselves! You wont regret it !

A great comic and collectible store. A super selection of new and a amazing back issue selection, especially like the pricing structure on the back issues, a large selection of affordable comics to read through. They carry a huge selection of new stuff which I dont read but they carry more of the reprint 1 comics than anyone else in town so I still get my new comic experience there! They have a large selection of graphic novels and a large shelf of sale books, so you can grab something to read for peanuts. As far as the customer service goes everyone I have interacted with has been very nice, super helpful, and friendly to the max. This is a real nice store and I recommend it highly.

Dont let the outside fool you, this place is huge with an amazing selection. An absolute ton of old toys, especially GI Joe and Star Wars. Rows and rows of shortboxes of comics, and entire walls filled with trade paperbacks and graphic novels. A friendly and helpful staff as well.

Place has been around longer than Ive been alive. It is great to be able to pass the tradition on to a new generation. Also, great selection of hard to find/older books. This place is what made my mom ok with funding my love of reading and learning through books

If youve ever been shopping somewhere and it feels like the staff is bugging you, then worry not. Because this place is very hands off with their customers. Now if youre in need of any help they are more than willing to oblige. Top notch selection of back issues, current runs, and collectables. Gold and Silver age comics are available so there is a little something for everyone. The pictures of the store Google provides dont do it justice. It is so well organized in there that it makes your shopping experience a breeze. I will say this though. The cost of certain variants can get absurd sometimes, but if youve got the coin and want to support this place, it is well worth your money.

The years have been kind to these guys. Having 1 store really does give them the opportunity to put the focus on whats important. Ive been buying and selling here for years and will continue to do so. Places like this are becoming less common and we are worse for it. Support your LCS and buy a damn book....or 12.

I love this local store. Supporting small business is so important, and this place makes it a joy to support small business. I have shopped here for years, for comics and comic memorabilia. Duncanville books employees have always been so helpful and kind.

I apologize for the low star rating, I did not know I left such a rating. The last time I was in I found my final piece to my collection! A mint B-wing for a super low price I never thought I’d find it for. The staff was amazing to hold my collectible while I continued to shop. I’ve taken my son there multiple times and he loves it. We would visit more but was live an hour away. Once again I apologize for the first rating. Over all great store, great ppl, great prices. I plan on visiting again and again.

Fun place with a LOT of cool stuff. Was a bit disappointed in the lack of pop culture in movies like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, etc. but space movies, comics, and anime is everywhere!

Great store! A comic book store that actually is a comic book store... Not a gaming store pretending to be a comic book store! Great staff too! Best person to speak to would be Andy... the owner of Duncanville books. Sometimes parking can be tricky, but well worth the trip. They also do SUB services, and folks that have SUB service usually get a nice discount too. Like I said... Great store!

I’ve been coming here for about 6 months now, maybe a little longer. The staff here are very helpful engaging. The prices on books seem to be competitive and really good for pull customers.They have an incredible back issue stock that would take a personal days to go through.If you’re looking for a place that has a lot of comics, graphic novels, toys, and other merch to choose from, this is your place.Happy shopping!

Awesome place. I have been going off and on for decades. They have an excellent collection of new and used books, comics, toys and merch. They used to carry board and card games, but no longer. That was a bummer to find out, but I could have called in to check ahead of time. The 2 staff on duty during my last visit were more concerned with having their own conversation than assisting me, which was also a bummer. Regardless, check them out.

Clean store, huge selection. I found a modern key Id been looking for forever, in great condition. Some issues I felt were a bit overpriced, or I would have definitely gotten more, but hey theyve been open for 50 years so they know how to run their business. Only reason I didnt give it 5 stars was because the staff never said hi, welcomed, or offered to help me find anything while I was there for 45 minutes, with only 1-2 other customers in the store. They werent rude though, it was just awkward, but I do plan to return the next time Im in the Dallas area.

Always come here when I’m in town from Austin. Great selection and lots of comics and action figures at reasonable prices. One of the better stores in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. An essential stop if you’re in town.

Great prices, a large variety of comic books and collectible. The staff is very helpful and nice. Other comic book stores Ive been to dont have such a variety or their stuff is to expensive. Has most of the stuff I like, like transformers, marvel, dc, starwars, etc. Really recommend this place for anyone who is a nerd, or if you are trying to find a present for a nerd. 10/10

We love it. We go maybe once a week. My two sons, boyfriend and I love their funko selection and etc. The store owners and workers are so friendly and funny. I highly recommend this place to any lover of comics and toy gems.

I have had two totally different experiences at this store. We are from out of town and we always stop by local toy and comic book shops to look for hard to find pops. This store has a awesome selection, cool layout, and carry some rare pops. Our first time here was awesome. The older gentleman behind the counter was extremely helpful and nice. We purchased a lot of pops and he even gave us a discount for buying so many. We were eager to come back. Our second experience wasnt as pleasant. We located a pop with no price tag. When we asked how much, the guy working the counter said since someone had taken off the price sticker, he couldnt sell it. The way he said it insinuated that we had removed the sticker. Let me point out, different employee than first time. This was a younger, heavyset man with glasses and ponytail. I asked if there was anyway to find out the price, and he said no. The person in charge of pricing toys wasnt there that day. I guess a phone call to that person was too much of a inconvenience. Needless to say, we didnt purchase nearly as many pops as we had originally intended. Not sure if we will come back. If we do and that certain employee is working, we will leave.

Great store and great selection of comics. This is my #2 store only because of loyalty to my LCS and drive. Only improvement I can think of is, pack a few less comics into the current back issues. They are so tight, they’re really hard to look through.

Stopped by your booth at the Irving con... great selection of $2 books, I was really able to fill some gaps in my late bronze/modern runs! Cant wait to visit the store soon! Nice friendly people!

Both times that we visited were for Pops and we were not disappointed! Boyfriend got the Doofus Rick this time and he was pretty excited about it 😊 everything was nice and organized. Getting to the store is a bit weird because of how the streets are but it wasnt a problem. Employees were friendly. Anytime hes in Dallas were here so well be back!

The employees know there comic books and are always kind and friendly. Out of all the comic book stores Ive been to, Duncanville books and gifts are by far the best comic book store you can visit.

I love this place! I recently got into comics maybe 6 months ago and the staff was friendly and helped me get started. I have a pull list for all my favorite comics and their huge back issue selection has helped me widen my collection a ton!

This is easily one of the best stores in the DFW area. Great back issue selection, plus cool bargain book boxes to boot. The owner, Andy, is one of the nicest guys in the biz and keeps up to date on comic stories and trends. Youll also fine a solid selection of toys, statues and gaming supplies, tons of trade paperbacks and more. If youre looking for gift ideas or just want to treat yourself, make sure to visit these guys.

Had a friend recommend Dunacanville Bookstore to me and theyre just great. I pretty much use them exclusively now. DBS actually has loads of back issues and I think they are less expensive when compared to Titan and KC and they accurately grade comics. I recommend you check our their live Facebook sales! The staff here is always super friendly. Im not in there as often as Id like to be, but whenever I am, theyer very knowledgeable. Their prices are pretty comparable to other stores, but they tend to run sales that are unbeatable. Definitely the best place to be in Duncanville. The rest of the town isnt all that great though, so I feel theyre hurting themselves by staying here.

John is pretty cool. But does not make any final decisions.The owner of this store is rude and unprofessional.I came in to get a better understanding on the type of comic books I had. Since Im not knowledgeable about comic books I needed a professional to look at them.He tried to pressure me into selling them(which I was going to) but when I said I wanted to go get the rest of my comic books(100s more) and see if I could do a joint deal. I also offered to give him the comics that he didnt want to buy. But he got real short with me and just walked away because I didnt want to sell them right then and there.Side note: I never mentioned that I wanted to sell them. He assumed!!I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.I would have sold them all to him if he wasnt so rude.He could of had a great customer and an easy sale but I do not tolerate unprofessional/rude people.I hope the best for him but he would never receive business from me or any of my close friends.
