Dude selling us the car brought out his sales partner “THE DEAL MAKER” and aggressively asks my father why we wanted to look at more cars and not buy this one right now. Uh dude we can tell a alright car from a great car it’s only 10 am we want to keep our options open if this car ain’t all the way it!!! “Good riddance”?? Please…second poor encounter with that place don’t waste your time.

Weve bought 4 vehicles from here. Paula, went way out of her way to make sure we got what we wanted, in the price range we wanted and all the things I wanted on both our cars, and our daughters cars. I was picky on wanting particular things. The owners, made sure to call and personally check on us. We were a difficult situation, just moved and had certain circumstances. We have 5 kids and 2 are special needs and they were very patient and didnt mind letting my husband and I go back and forth to do anything we needed without having to get overwhelmed. They even put gas in the cars before we left the lot and made sure they were washed. We have since sent our 2 adult daughters in to buy their cars. Totaling 4 cars from Paula in our family. Theres just not enough room on this review to explain how helpful and understanding they are and how nice their vehicles are. From 1st arrival to still right now they made and make sure were being taken care of. We didnt know where to go for buying a vehicle locally when we moved here from Missouri, so we picked them because its family owned and have been in business for over 30 years. Were so blessed to have picked them out of a million other places. Theyre not pushy and dont start by just trying to get any vehicles but make sure its the perfect fit for us functionality and price. Do not buy from these people!!! Bought a car from them 2 years ago and the very next day my check engine light came on. Took it to their mechanic that said it was the fuel cap. Replaced that leave the mechanic and light comes on again. Now my head gasket is blown, the interior is falling apart and they will do nothing to fix it. I have had nothing but problems with this car since getting it. To fix my car now is going to cost more than the car is worth. I will be filing a law suit. I wish I had read the other reviews before ever buying from them.

DOUG went ABOVE & BEYOND to put me in a car I LOVE!! My first time coming in, there was a beautiful Toyota I wanted but the next day it was sadly gone. STAY AWAY! They are crooks and sell you broken cars. Their supposed auto repair shop, if you can even call it that, does NOTHING. They leave your car sitting in their lot for a week and give it back to you claiming its good as new. Then, minutes later, almost like magic, your brand new car breaks down AGAIN. I genuinely dont understand how these thieves are still in business. Im convinced the good reviews on here are from their employees and/or family members. Do NOT trust these people.

Worst company to buy a car from. They had told me the car was full inspected and had no problems and 2 days later got a diagnostic and had major problems with the car. Also they have not reported one payment for my car through credit and I have got this car over a year and a half ago. I advise no one to buy a car from here very shady people just willing to get paid and not caring about a person buy a car that is reliable. I REPEAT DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE!

Great Team. We bought our car 2/2/19. Paula was our sales person. She was patient and let us test drive 3 cars until we decided on one. My 19 year old was with us and she answered finance questions for her because she was curious about the entire process. Richard went over the paperwork with us for signing. Geoff and Jeff Jr were helpful and friendly also. Great work on financing to fit our budget and they gave us close to what we wanted for our trade in. We would recommend this place to anyone. Also, they get 5 stars because 4 days later the car would not start and would not take a jump. The mechanic came to where it was parked, one of our jobs, and looked at it. He got it towed and fixed it (ignition relay switch) the same day at their shop at no cost. No complaints!

I had a bad experience with the Finance Manager Jeff. Very verbably unprofessional. Ive bought two cars from them. Paula is great. My first experience was good. This last one, thanks to Jeffs continued delinquency, attitude, selfishness and straight up neglectful manors, I will never buy another vehicle from them. I will also quit referring people like I used to. I needed warrantly info and he never got back to me. Phone tag with that place FOR WELL OVER A YEAR. I finally called him to say thanks for the help since now my warranty is expired. Great guy, NOT! Also the mechanic supervisor will blow you off as well. The sales reps are great. The managment now is garbage. ONCE I TOLD HIM IM DONE DOING BUSINESS WITH HIS ORGINIZATION HE STARTED TO GO OFF ON ME SO I HUNG UP THE PHONE. Good luck. Dont buy from them. Youll regret it. Purchased a vehicle from Florida Auto exchange it broke down three times within 6 months for a total of over $3,000 repairs then almost 1 year to the day with 2-years of payments still left the motor and computer system went out. So on top of the $3,000 thats already invested plus the large down payment and the payments for one year with two more years of payments outstanding.I am facing a repair bill of $7,500 plus to replace the motor and theres nothing they will do other than give me a small labor discount but but the price that was quoted from their shop to replace the motor was the same as everybody else but they say they were giving me a deal. I suggest that you buy an additional warranty if youre buying a vehicle from here they give you a 3 month 3000 mile warranty and nothing would probably go wrong so please if you buy a vehicle from this dealer invest in extended warranty.

They would turn my engine off on my car leaving me stranded sometimes with my young daughter if I got a month behind on payments and wouldnt turn my car back on until I somehow came up with the money right at that moment. I got a little behind due to the pandemic and losing my job bc of it about 6 weeks to be exact and what do they do...repo or better way to put it steel my car after I had paid more then 8,000 ON A CAR THAT WASNT WORTH 4000 AND I HAD LESS THEN 1000 TO GO UNTIL IT WAS PAID OFF AND THATS WHY THEY TOOK IT. THEN THEY GAVE ME 10 DAYS TO COME UP WITH A MUCH LARGER NUMBER THEN WHAT I OWED TO GET MY CAR BACK. NOT TO MENTION YOU CAN EXPECT TO BE HARASSED DAILY IF YOU FALL BEHIND REGARDLESS OF THE REASON WHY BC THEY WILL NOT WORK WITH YOU!!! I found FAE online. I filled out the online application and Jason called me. I advised him that I did not want to come down and sit for 2 hours to jump through a bunch of hoops, etc. To just get declined. He advised he could get me in a car. Now usually dealerships will just tell you what you want to hear, but Jason did not lie. He got me in the car that I picked out. Everyone was very nice and efficient. They made the process quick and painless. I was very impressed. I liked that Jason was straight up and honest with me and didnt give me the run around. Dont get me wrong, these guys have great cars, but they were misleading. I was assured by Jason and the owners son that a deal was done and we would be driving by noon. At 4:30 pm of the day we were supposed to be in the car, they need another person on the loan and $1300 more down. For a 13 year old vehicle thats too much. Especially when we shook hands on the original deal the night before. With $125k of income. They had already processed our $700, so of course we couldnt get that back immediately and go shop somewhere else. Not right. Be very careful and dont get your hopes up till you have the keys and car and are driving away. They even had us put insurance on it, and bring our plate down to transfer. What an act. Encore!

They are not your typical used car dealer, they go above and beyond to help you! Shortly after buying my truck I was laid off from my job, the owner himself called me and worked out the plan for me to keep my truck, that was incredible! If you need a vehicle this is the place to buy it!!!

The salesman was very nice although he avoided answering some of my questions. When he brought in a manager to negotiate the price and payments the entire experience went down hill. The manager was extremely high pressured toward me making a decision right at that time. He kept making statements like open your wallet or if you dont sign now the price goes upI gave 2 stars because the original salesman was very nice and understanding as to my situation. However I do not recommend anyone going there to purchase a vehicle.

The FL Auto Exchange may have been in business for years, but their fees and financing are abhorrent. I was working with an associate who provided me with utmost details on purchasing a car through the FL Auto Exchange, which was absolutely fantastic. This sales associate was thorough with details on what it would take (depending on my credit) in order to do business with one another. I was presented with numerous cars and details outlining the financing, but they like to state you are only paying a certain amount of money for a vehicle whenever that is not the case. They have underlying fees associated with the sale, and although the general manager went over this in detail with me, I still did not find the numbers to be correct. From there, I told her that I conducted the numbers and resolved a different solution where the general manager then told me that she does financing for a living and has been a general manager for years and she knows I wont be able to get a better deal anywhere else.Of course, no sale was made due to the circumstances, and I asked the sales associate that I was working with to refund me the down payment I already placed on a car and they stated I needed to come back in with the card and the paperwork in order to issue the refund.I would not waste my time writing this long of a review if I did not seem skeptical of the business, and I personally will not recommend the FL Auto Exchange to individuals looking to get the best price, regardless of credit, on a used car.

I purchased a 2007 Chevy Tahoe (previously owned by the former mayor of Dunedin) in December of 2017 at Florida Auto Exchange. Despite the negative reviews online and feedback that I had received from others. The experience went well and I left happy with my truck.Fast forward 22 months.We recently revisited their showroom looking to trade in my Tahoe due to some mechanical issues that were arising. We spoke with Jason, the salesman that I dealt with in the past. We explained that the truck was having some issues and were very upfront on this fact. He stated that they we needed to have the truck diagnosed regardless in order to determine if it would be an easy fix or if we would be trading it in and what the value would be. He asked if we could bring it in to their service center for a diagnostic check. My wife immediately asked How much is that going to cost?. Jason replied we will take care of it. I set an appointment for 8:00 am the following morning. I brought my truck in and Chet, the service adviser, took it in to be diagnosed. About an hour and a half later Chet comes out to tell me that that their technician broke one of my starter wires during the diagnosis because it was “dry rotted” and it would need to be repaired before they could complete the diagnosis. I was upset but kept my cool and explained to Chet that I brought it in to be diagnosed in order to determine whether or not I would be trading it in and that Jason told me the diagnosis would be free. SUCH WAS NOT THE CASE. The service department decided that they needed to do a compression test and did so without consulting me prior to beginning further testing. Chet explained that Jason does not have the authority to make that type of promise and called his boss. Whoever he spoke to offered to take an hour of labor off of the bill! I was like Take an hour of labor off of a bill that should have never been?. At this point I am fuming! I drove the truck in there and now I can’t drive it out of there without the wiring intact. I was stuck having to pay $266, and 5 hours of my time, after being under the impression that I would walk out of there with a decision to make, either fixing it or trading it in, and no out of pocket expenses. The wires were replaced and I was informed that it was losing compression in the #3 cylinder. The loss of compression code that came up while hooking the truck to the diagnostic machine would have been enough for me to be able to make the determination. I then went over to the showroom VERY unhappy with the service bill in hand. We spoke with Jason again, who quickly tried to move away from our complaints about the service bill. He took full responsibility for promising a free diagnostic but tried to explain away why I had to pay for the wiring and labor that their service department broke. We then moved along to the possibility of trading it in. This is where Jason’s shady behavior continued. We start talking about a ford expedition that they have on their lot for $7,999. Jason was told that we do not want to put any money down. After all I have made EVERY payment on the current truck since purchase and have an EXCELLENT payment history according to their reports to the credit bureau. Jason then proceeds to tell me that even with me trading in the Tahoe I would need “a couple thousand dollars down”! He did not run my credit nor did he look at my payment history. Without another word I walked out and let my wife handle it. She has been in the car business for 20 years. She walked out of there less than 5 minutes after I did. Wonderful experience at this lot! I just bought my new 2012 Santa Fe here and their team was extremely helpful and positive throughout the entire process, in particularly Paula.

When I bought my car I was excited because they were nice and friendly, made me feel taken care of, and the car seemed to be a good buy. However, since then the interior that looked so nice has been falling apart. The panels that were clearly gorilla glued on are falling off, the roof which seemed perfectly fine is now sinking in (within a few months), the pipes from the coolant are clogged with build up from the wrong fluid being previously injected and now to top it off i went to change my spare which they did assure me was in there, but it had no jack to replace it with which is usually pretty standard. I figure Im spending over 5,000 dollars for a car that was stitched together with smoke and mirrors, the least they could do was help me with a jack as it should have had in the first place. They couldnt do a Single thing to help me. They had a tough luck mentality that I didnt appreciate. Once they have your money they dont care. Ive paid my payments on time and bit my tongue about all the problems Ive been running into because I should have looked more closely. They appeared to be a trust worthy company, but I now feel like it was just for the sale. I was planning to trade it in for a new car next year, which could have been thousands in their pocket- but now I will never use their services again over a petty car jack for the stupid tire. On top of everything else that has been going wrong since I bought it- i would have come back with caution, but this set me over the edge. In reading the reviews I realize that other people have had similar experiences. If you are reading this I wouldnt trust them with anything. Cars are over priced and you dont get the customer service or the product that youre actually paying for.

Praise God ! Had a wonderful experience and that says alot. I usually have the worst luck with everything. When I pulled in I was approach immediately I spoke to the guy cant remember his name :( but he gave me to Paula, the took my truck and was able to get me to what we needed with no issues at all. Gave me a great deal for my trade and didnt low ball like other places. All of the staff was extremely friendly and great with my 3 kids. This place has great customer service and thats hard to find. I will recommend them to everyone I meet that needs a vehicle. Thanks so much you were a great blessing !

Do yourself a favor and don’t go anywhere else! We wasted 2 days and shopped other places when we should came here first. Douglas our salesman was outstanding! I shopped around at quite a few dealers before I came here per suggestion from a coworker. They have a large selection of vehicles and the staff was absolutely wonderful. We were instantly greater by a sales rep. She was enthusiastic, pleasant and was straight up. We told Paula Mongeon exactly what we were looking for, our budget and how much we could put down. I have bad credit and the company was able to show us quite a few vehicles that we could test drive and look at within our budget. She showed us a vehicle quickly that I fell in love with. Paula was quick and within minutes we test drove the vehicle and were inside filling out paperwork and getting everything together. Positively without a doubt the worst experience I’ve ever had at a car dealership in my 54 years of being on this earth if I could rate them -5 I would. They will waste your time. Promise you the a deal, take your money, and deliver nothing and tell you you have to pay more on a deposit. They waisted two days of my time, already had insurance and signed paperwork then they changed a deal they already agreed to. You have been warned! Say away from them.

I bought a car from FAE and I can tell you it has been a living nightmare. I am sorry, but this company is a poster child for the reason buy here pay here should be SHUT DOWN by the state of Florida. They act as if they are above the law, sell you a lemon and then harass you, intimidate you, stalk you and then tow your car, when you are just trying to accommodate THEM! For the love of GOD, buy a car anywhere else, anywhere, but here!

If I could give Florida Auto Exchange 0 stars I would. When I was 18 I went to them to buy my own car, I trusted them to help me as a first time car buyer to guide me in the right direction. Instead what I got was a car that has given me nothing but problems that I paid double what its worth, a $1,500 warranty I paid for but doesnt cover ANYTHING, oh and a 18.5% interest rate.... So thank you Florida Auto Exchange for screwing a young girl over just to get a little extra change in your own pockets. My advice to anyone wanting to buy a car for their daughter, sister, wife, mother, dont go to this dealership because clearly they take advantage of women and are thriving off the fact that they know we all dont know as much about cars as they do.

This dealership is the exact reason why used car dealers get a bad reputation. They are the lowest of the low. Scam, lie and do anything they can to get your money and screw you as soon as you actually get one of the trash cars they sell. We have opened a case with the dealer department at the dmv and when they seen the contract that was written by these people they called a supervisor in and said they were in complete disbelief. I will not stop until something is done and they are exposed for the low life they are. I promise that I will picket the place if need be.

The absolute worst car purchasing experience ever! I went in with no down payment and made that very clear. I told them that I was just looking at the moment to get an idea of what I needed beforehand and I only have a trade in at the moment. I made it very clear twice that I dont have perfect credit and if they needed a down payment, then I would have to save up for a while and come back. They said no worries, they would take the trade in as a down payment. I was not expecting to go home in a car but we left with one under the impression that the trade in was enough and that they clearly understood everything I said. Two days later, I go in to finalize the papers and they need a $1,000 down payment. The finance lady (not sure of her name since she didnt even introduce herself) came over and was clearly pissed when I said I didnt have $1,000. She started to make us feel extremely uncomfortable and began asking belittling questions like do you even have 20 dollars to put down? I was not prepared to put anything down because I asked two days earlier and was honest and upfront about my situation. I was told completely differently. After she unprofessionally approached us like that and they completely lied to my face, I was done! I said I dont even want your car anymore, just give me my trade in back and cancel the deal. After saying this, she then tries to save the sale by asking us to ask family or dip into savings for a down payment. I was already so upset with the whole situation and how they treated me, I of course said no! Please just give me my trade in back and cancel everything. Obviously this pissed her off more, so she begins to berate me and tells me next time I need to sleep on it before I try to make a major financial decision like this again. How rude! We went home immediately and got their car to take back to them. When I got back, they tried to sell me a different car that they thought I could afford as I was demanding my trade in back. I wouldnt even look at the other car because this place is such a scam and has horrible customer service! Buyer beware and read the reviews before you go. I lucked out by getting out of the deal last minute and thank God for protecting me from the horror of continuing business with them.

Very happy with my experience at Floria Auto Exchange. I had to have a battery replaced and a new alternator put in. They quoted me the best price in town and I was able to get in right away. Plus they have a great location on 580.

Sales reps are great however I believe her name is Jenae (the owners daughter) RUDEST, NASTIEST person ever. she will talk to you however she wants! and when you complain to other employees about her they all agree with me however claims there is nothing they can do because she is the owners daughter. she has no respect and theeee smartest mouth ever.
