I have been coming here for almost 20 years and never once have I ever had cause for concern for any reason. The staff is genuinely friendly and helpful while the technicians are knowledgeable and personable. The doctors are above reproach - they dont make you feel like a dollar sign and they stay up to date on the latest information and technology. They take their time to understand their patients concerns and meet their needs. I never used my vision benefits when I worked a job in another state and willingly paid for their goods and services out of pocket because I would not trust my eyes to anyone else. I dont want an eyeglass deal if it comes from sub-par service and poor quality products which is why I only recommend Accuvision Optical. Even if you need a service they cant perform, they will refer you to someone on their level in terms of service and quality. I will never trust my precious vision to anyone else. Dr. Tupps performed a very thorough examination. He listened carefully to my concerns and was able to adjust my contacts prescription to a level were now I can read much better and therefore use my contacts more frequently. I also got a new pair of glasses at their optical, which also provided excellent service, as well as the rest of the staff. Highly recommended.

I have been a patient of Dr Tupps for over 20 years. He is a perfectionist. I’m very near sided and therefore can be a challenge to refract. He has never missed the mark. Excellent eye Doctor and staff. I went to Dr Tupps yesterday due to something being in my eye. He spent significantly more time with me than I expected (it was difficult to clear the eye). He stayed additional time to make sure the eye continued to feel fine. I cant say enough about how impressed I was with Dr Tupps and his staff.

Dr. Tupps and his staff offer a truly professional service to their clients/patients. In an era when we hear the term professional bandied about only because companies, medical practices, any and all endeavors that are selling something have decided that this label will bring in droves of customers even if the services, the atmosphere in the clinic, the quality of the final product or service is second-rate. Not here. The doctor takes time to explain what he sees or discovers in the vision of his patients in very clear, understandable terms. His information is useful because the average person can explain what his or her situation is to other people. The staff maintains this level of service and sincerity. All the doctors assistants appear to enjoy their jobs, and they can answer virtually any question about lenses and frames, and they can even discuss illnesses of the eye and what treatments are used to help remedy the problems. The whole operation builds confidence. Finally, I have used the services here for well over 10 years with zero complaints on my part, and the most critical issue here is that I CAN SEE....! After many years of going to the same eye doctor I found myself faced with having to find a new one. My eye doctor was retiring. He sold his practice to a new doctor which is customary. After one visit, I decided I did not like him and now had to find a new one. I consider my eyes to be very important since I am a hard lens wearer for over 40 years! A friend recommended Dr. Tupps who was also conveniently located near me. It took only one visit to know that I found my new eye doctor. He is completely thorough and is extremely knowledgeable. His staff is very friendly and they have great hours including Saturday. I am a happy customer.

Dr. Tupps has got to be one of the best Optometrists in the area. His facilities and equipment are top-notch, his team is professional and courteous, and he takes his time with you to answer all of your questions. His exams are thorough and I would whole-heartedly recommend him with confidence!

Dr. Tupps is not just a great doctor, he is one of the kindest most compassionate individuals I have ever met. He takes the well being of your eyes as serious as you do. I woke up one Friday morning unable to see out of my right eye, I called him as an emergency. He was on vacation but called me right back. He correctly diagnosed the problem over the phone and helped me get the proper care I needed. He made several follow up calls to make sure my sight was returning. I had another problem with the same eye on a Saturday morning, he got me right in and took care of the problem. I just cannot say enough good things about this man, either as a doctor or a human being. Hes the best!

Cant say good enough things about my experience with Accuvison Optical. I have been going there for about 5 years now. I recently had my annual appointment and I was 45 minutes late because of weather and two car accidents and they still found a way to take me in - this was at the end of the work day too! Since weve moved here Ive been searching for a good eye dr and Im so happy to say that my search is finally over! Ive been having trouble with seeing clearly through my left eye and no matter how others have tweaked my Rx the fuzziness was still there.Dr Tupps is the first and only dr that explained to me that I have an astigmatism and addressed it in my Rx. he explained everything so well and took the time to make sure I understood and answered all my questions. I finally see perfect again! thank you Dr Tupps and your awesome staff!

I have went years without the correct eye prescription not knowing it. After my visit with Dr. Tupps I will not go anywhere else. The time Dr. Tupps took to look into the issues I explained found that I still had astigmatism though I have not had a prescription for it since I was 14 years old. Other eye doctors seen that I wanted contacts and did not tell me that astigmatism is really hard to fit so they passified me with a prescription that did not correct my astigmatism. Dr. Tupps explained that there are contacts that do correct astigmatism its just finding the one I can wear. I am Thankful that I finally found an eye doctor who truly does his job and takes it serious. Awesome family owned business!!

Since I moved from New Tampa to Dunedin I’ve been trying to find a new optician with a unique but trendy assortment of eyeglasses. During the past few weeks, I went to five in my VSP network and, out-of network; Optical Outlets, LensCrafters, and For Eyes. All had, what I found to be a very bland and standard inventory and none had what I was specifically looking for in prescription Aviator sunglasses that fit my face. I was just about to throw in the towel but as I drove by I decided to make one last stop at AccuVision. Immediately, when I walked in, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Not only did I find exactly what I was looking for but the style selection of all the eyeglasses is the best I’ve ever seen. I’m not able to review Dr. Tupps since I didn’t get an exam but I can say that Robert has an amazing sense of style when it comes to choosing the eyeglass inventory that AccuVision stocks AND he was wonderful in helping me choose the perfect frames for my face. Additionally, he made a note of another pair of eyeglasses that I found and I will be going back in October to purchase them out of pocket. He also noted that I’m looking for a pair of burgundy eye glasses and promised to keep an eye out so they’ll be ready when I go in for my exam in January. I really struggled to narrow down my choices (which never happens since I’m rarely impressed by my selection) so I know I probably was not easy to work with (like a kid in a candy shop) but Robert was very patient with me and never made me feel rushed. Dr. Tupps, if you read this review, make sure you don’t let him go anywhere because he’s a great asset to your office. And, based on the wonderful review he gave me of you, I’m looking forward to meeting you at exam time next year.
