I really cant say enough about how awesome this place is!! My husband came and got his open water certification as well as nitrox and I took a Open water refresher course as well as my nitrox. Our instructor Sarah was amazing She was very informative helpful patient and really took the time to make sure that you knew everything you needed to know to participate in this sports safely! I was really impressed with her dive experience at such a young age. Sean was very helpful in knowledgeable when it came to equipment and gear and he spent a lot of time helping us find the right gear fit for us. We spent hours going back and forth on types of gear and equipment and he was very patient and helpful the whole time! I definitely would recommend heroes dive center not only to get certified but as well as purchasing gear and taking dives We plan on taking some dives with them in the future and are super excited about the new adventures!

I had to retake my scuba certification after 18 years of not diving. John Cassidy was a great, patient and very informative instructor. He always stressed being safe. My dive group was also great and helped each other out. My daughters took their certification class here 2 years ago and Sean the owner remembered our family. That’s why we choose them for their personal and professional atmosphere. I would highly recommend this dive shop if you want a personal, caring and professional experience.

Had the pleasure to be on the boat today with John Cassidy (Instructor), Amy, Sandy, Peggy and Gary (Open Water students) and they were such a pleasure to be around and it was obvious that they were confident and excited to finish up there certification. Everyone was at the dock with plenty of time to ensure they got signed in and John was there well ahead to meet his students and ensure a great boat experience for his students, a sign of a true professional. This group was efficient, competent and ready to dive…..and with out a doubt keep diving because John facilitated learning and excitement for diving.

Horrible experience all together! Rented 2 tanks Friday before closed.. Asked if I didn’t use the 2nd tank if there was a refund on air.. they said yes, and unfortunately woke up Saturday to an injured puppy.. called them on my way to the vet as they opened.. asked if I could just return both tanks, and got a completely different answers.. returned tanks full Monday.. rent tanks somewhere else they are over double the cost to other shops!

Rock Bottom Divers took the fear of the unknown and provided me with the knowledge and skills to scuba dive properly. The scuba instruction class I was in had 5 students. We had very young students (around 12 or 13), teens and adults. Our instructor Sean did a great job making sure everyone received the proper training and knowledge. I want to thank everyone at Rock Bottom Divers (Scott and team) for the wonderful experience. I will definitely continue using Rock Bottom Divers and I can not wait to advance my skills and scuba knowledge with them.

We had a great experience with Scott and his team. We were on a time limit and he worked very well with it. Also gave us a great deal on private lessons! My wife and I felt very well taken care of. Also the staff are very knowledgeable. We will be coming back to Dunedin just to dive with this shop again.

Scott was great! Very knowledgeable and helpful. My wife needed a new mask and he was fun to work with and very patient with us. She loves her new mask and we will no doubt be back again. Highly recommended!!

A couple months ago I came down from KC for my open water certification dives. I interviewed 5 SSI shops before picking Sean and Heroes Dive Center. Best dive instructor and certification training. Mixes practical education/ training while having so much fun. I was a bit intimidated taking on this new hobby.But ALL the staff at Heroes are so nice, helpful and really make me feel confident and welcome. It was such a good experience, I came back this weekend for 3 more certifications! Your best bet is Heroes Dive Center!

Great shop and even better staff. Knowledgeable on what, where, when, how to dive. No pressure sales, the right advice on equipment regardless if they carry it or not. Classes are typically small so the personal attention makes the classes almost like personal instruction. They have organized dive trips locally and all over the world, so theres an adventure in everyones budget. I got certified before I found this gem if a store, and I wish I could have gone back in time and started over. Im now master certified thanks to Scott and the rest if the staff. These guys saved my butt. I went to them with my 2004 zeagle envoy ds-iv and they managed to have one of the parts I needed still in stock. I went to narcosis and they held it for two weeks for them to finally say they couldnt find it. They couldnt tell me within. A week?

My husband and I were certified 25 years ago. It was 20 years since our last dive. A dive trip was long over due so we began to revisit our long lost passion.We started to plan a dive trip. Our kids were interested but needed to be certified. I began searching dive shops in the area and came across Rock Bottom. I called and spoke to Scott. Within five minutes of speaking to him I could tell he was knowledgable, honest and passionate about the sport. We wanted him to be the kids instructor but due to scheduling conflicts he referred us to Sean, one of the other dive instructors in the store. I was hesitant but he assured us we would be happy. I spoke to Sean over the phone and was immediately at ease. He taught the course and during the pool activities he brought an assistant to help with the scuba skills. Max was a great addition. They made our experience amazing! My husband and I took a refresher with Max and she was incredible. She demonstrated patience and had a good read on what we needed to become comfortable with the basic skills. I cant say enough about the both of them. Their teaching styles compliment each other. They are patient, knowledgable and a love for what they do.. We felt 100% prepared to go on an open water dive. As Sean says I am living the dream. I am looking forward to returning next year and diving with the duo again!. If you are looking for certification, I wouldnt hesitate to take your certification with the divers at Rock Bottom. I called all over the Clearwater area. Their prices are competitive and they offer more pool time . This is so important when learning skills. Other shops will offer certification in less time but think twice and ask yourself.. will you be comfortable in open water? Diving in the ocean or gulf is a whole other animal. You have to be 100% and Sean and Max will make sure you are! Thanks for rekindling our love of diving!

We love Rock Bottom Divers. Everyone on the staff is so willing to help. Theyre very attentive and patient with us. With 4 kids, thats a huge requirement! One of our daughters had trouble with her ears when learning to dive. She struggled with it for about 6 months, and Scott was there to help her through every bit of it. He taught her about 8 different methods for clearing her ears and worked with her in the pool to just feel comfortable at 12 feet. Shes an excellent diver now, at only age 13. Scott is a huge factor in that training. She plans to continue her diving, including rescue diving, nitrox, advanced open water... Not in that order... and probably more. We have purchased masks, snorkles, fins, weights, BCDs, safety sausages, regulators, octos and necklaces and so much more from them because they always can find just what we need or order what they might not have. AND we use them for our annual gear inspections and repairs. They really can do it all.
