EFO is a great place to find quality furniture at a decent price. While I was shopping, Sue went out of her way to help me find a sofa and end table for my living room. I appreciated that she was accessible during the whole time I was in the store, but gave me space to browse and consider the different options on the floor. Bottom line: she knew a good deal about the inventory and even made suggestions about what might work in my living space. The professionalism and care that the employees give to their customers deserves to be commended. Thank you, Sue, and thank you, EFO.

I love EFO in dunmore . Theyre always so helpful. I just finished construction in my home and needed to start furnishing it. Sue was so helpful walking through the store showing me everything, helping me pick out fabrics and placing the order. Cant wait to go back and finish purchasing the rest of the items I need. I purchased a couch from here in January with promise that it would be delivered in March. Today I was told that the delivery was pushed back again. Please avoid this dealer if you expect to receive your purchase in a reasonable time.

Around the side of the building and hard to find. They dont have much in stock and have to order much of the furniture and right now with pandemic it will take like 26 weeks to get furniture. Staff is very willing to help. The prices are great and very reasonable.
We purchased a couch and oversized chair. First springs started to pop then the wood frame broke. We Evan paid extra for the extended warranty in case something happened. They told us don’t worry if anything happens we will cover it!!!! I sent in 3 different warranty claims. No response! I called countless times nothing!!!! When I finally spoke to a women at the facility that built the couch she said this should definitely be covered!!! I was happy! Then nothing happened!! It was purchased in April of 17 I think.... Now the “LEATHER” that would not peel is all over our house!!! We were told it’s a material that will not peel!!!! Never purchase anything from this place if you want it longer then a year damage free......
DO NOT buy anything from this store. The furniture we purchased (at a premium, no sale items were bought) was cheap, and broke almost immediately rendering the couch useless. The under cording on the sofa broke and almost rendered a guest injured by the springs underneath. We called about replacement cushions, we were given the run around. We wanted to enact the warranty we were promised would be a TEN YEAR warranty after the sofa started to fall apart. EFO blew us off after only a couple of years after purchase. Therefore, we feel, our ten year warranty was misrepresented upon purchase. We kept calling about the warranty. Run around after run around. The furniture is junk (England stuff, no less), the sale people lied to us, and the warranty is a joke. If we wanted to spend over a thousand dollars on junk, we would have gone to Bobs Discount Furniture. When we go to replace this furniture, wed shop at Bobs before wed ever go to EFO again.
We were moving into our house on a specific date and had ordered our bedroom set months in advance. We got a call saying it was delayed, we called EFO spoke with Ryan and he did everything possible to make sure we got our order on time and we did. He was great.

Very disappointed in the service and delivery of our recliner bought from EFO in Dunmore,Pa.February 9th. We purchased a kitchen table and recliner for our home along with montage warranty. We were assured it would be delivered since my husband had surgery to his back and we didn’t want to risk additional injuries.I was notified on March 9th that our chair was in the warehouse and if my payment was made it would be available for delivery on Friday 13th. I made payment on March 11th and called for chair to be delivered.. When I was told that no one was able to deliver due to shortage of unavailable employees.We asked if someone would be able to assist us if we picked it up ourselves they said yes but Saturday someone would be available to help us if we came since there still was no one available for Saturday delivery either. We were assured that even though we picked it up ourselves that if there was any issue we would be able to return it since we were not given a delivery and we had paid for it to be delivered and setup at our home. The warehouse worker assisted us by helping load it into truck. Box was intact except for 4 holes at bottom of box that appeared to be the legs of chair. We arrived home and backed up to our deck and I assisted my husband in positioning - 2x6x8ft boards from tailgate to deck to slide the box onto deck. We ripped tape from box to avoid using a knife cutting the material. Jim removed plastic from head of chair and we carried it inside. Then removed base from box and placed it living room. We discovered at this point that the power cord was missing. We searched box and inside of head rest. Jim turn chair base over to discover the front main board was cracked and broken. Immediately we called store back asking for Jillian our salesperson.She was busy assisting another customer so we tried to explain our problem to the manager.We were very disappointed and dissatisfied with the fact that we had to make another trip back to the store and were unhappy with the way we were treated by the staff except for Jillian who went out of her way to stay after her shift had ended to assist us with the return.Both the manager and Jillian approved a replacement chair, would be ordered and we would not have to worry about receiving the same chair back repaired.While we waited I continued to shop with Jillian for the chairs and bench to complete our kitchen set.She was very apologetic for all of the trouble and problems that were caused by the broken chair along with the stress and aggravation to my husband whom the chair was purchased for while recuperating from surgery.This was all in process starting March 14th.. then shutdown happened.We assumed that we would hear from EFO staff about recliner replacement because it was a special order because of color and it was not in stock.My husband decided to call the first week in May to find out about delivery of new chair, to find out if it was ready from Joe.Joe said delivery would be available and that driver would bring to home and leave on porch but not be able to enter to setup chair.We were called prior, to be available from 11am to 3 pm.My husband wasn’t available and I was the only one home to except delivery.Delivery person came to door with slip and another person unpacked chair In truck, I question why slip stated Repair and Return Recliner.I said that our salesperson and the manager told us that it would be a new replacement. He then answered.. “ well it came out of a box that is in the truck, I only deliver and I can’t say.”I then tried to turn base over to inspect to see if it was also damaged or flawed and he sort of distracted me and turn chair for me to view only the back of base.So in the hast of delivery, they left. My husband arrived and we brought chair into house and he noticed the broken board had been repaired with 6 sheet rock screws. My husband immediately called back to store and spoke with person who answered phone we assume it was Joe. We explained the situation and our displeasure of being taken advantage of.. to be continued.
HORRIBLE customer service! A simple order of a recliner as a Christmas gift for my elderly Mother has been a nightmare. Originally I was told it would take 6 weeks to come in because of COVID backups at the factory. Fine. Six weeks came and went. No phone call or notice to tell us the status of the order. After 8 weeks I called. Now I was told it would probably come near the middle of April. Again, that time came and went without so much as a phone call. Called again. This time they said probably early June. Well, in early June, lo and behold, I was called and told delivery couldnt be for another two weeks so they set delivery for the 23rd of June and told me they would call the day before delivery and give a three hour window for when to expect delivery. Guess what? No call. I live over an hour away from my Mom, so I called their store today, the supposed day of delivery. Store closed. Had to call a branch store. Now Im told the delivery would be tomorrow which means another day off and another day of traveling for me. Still waiting on the three hour window call for tomorrow. This place just cant get their act together. I realize its not the biggest order they have to deal with but this is beyond ridiculous.

Ignored. Im unsure if they judged me by my appearance, but no one offered to help me with what I was looking for. There were multiple couples and families whom they approached and helped but didnt look twice at me or my boyfriend until AFTER I said something.Good prices, bad customer service for anyone who doesnt look like a middle aged white person .Edit: Your response contradicts itself. There will always be more customers than employees, if no one can offer help to a customer that has been shopping for about an hour in your store, you need better employees.

First, Id like to state that prior to leaving a negative review I asked for the email address of the owner so I could handle this directly with him or her. The sales staff told me they could not provide me with that information but I could email one of them, and theyd try and forward it. As a small business owner myself, I feel strongly the owner should be available to their patrons. Because he or she will not take the time to speak with a customer, I am leaving this review.We ordered and paid in full for a sectional in early August. We were told 6-8 weeks for delivery. At 8 weeks we called. We were told time frames were pushed back and it would be more like 10-12 weeks. We were never called to be notified of this and only knew because we called in. We called again at the 12 week mark and were told that the deadline had changed again to the new year. Thats approximately a 20 week wait for a paid in full item. Unacceptable, especially since we were not notified as the timeline was changing.We asked the sales person (who I will say was as accommodating as I sense she was allowed to be) what our options were. She told us we could come in and look at options available on the floor. We did. Nothing was available that wasnt twice of what we originally paid. We asked if a discount could be applied for this inconvenience and we were told that wasnt possible, but if we found something on the floor closer to our budget shed try and see if theyd let us take the floor model immediately. We decide that this is the best option and find a floor model that is still $350 above what we had paid but at least we could have it quickly. We process the transaction, paying the additional $350, and she goes to book us a delivery time. It is ANOTHER 2 week wait for the item to be delivered because the trucks are fully scheduled! The only available time they have is the day before Thanksgiving. Im sorry but if this happened in my business, Id not only be discounting the new item but overnighting the product. At this point I hope I at least get the couch I paid for delivered in good condition, since a refund wasnt an option either. Terrible management policies. We will absolutely never shop here again.

Expensive and fragile, I spent 1500 on my bedset for the bed frame to shatter after 2 months. also they were supposed to bring everything in to the apartment but they left it at the bottom of the stairs.

If I could give 0 stars I would, I ordered a couch on Aug 25 and they said 10-12 weeks (really?!?) but okay I understand it was fine. I called today at the 11th week and they told me now the time is JANUARY are you kidding me?!? They never called to give me an update or anything, so I called and asked for free pick up and a discount because hey I need a couch and I figured they would want my business but nope they gave me nothing. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time. The problem is not with the time limit it’s with the lack of customer service

On March 10th or 11th, my grandmother and I went to get new furniture for her living room. We still have not received a call about the furniture. We have had to make the calls to them to get updates on the product we bought on one of those days. We still have not received the set that we paid in full for. It has been over 4 months and I am very unhappy with this experience. I find it completely ridiculous that they have not called us with any information regarding the set that we got, never mind the fact that we havnt received the product yet, and they have it on hand.
I hate doing this because I work in an Industry like customer service but absolutely horrible service. Purchased this couch close to 3 years ago with the extended warranty. Emailed a gentleman and was emailing since June and was supposed to send me the cushion and the casing since the vendor was about to discontinue this order so he had to process this order quickly. Only got the cushion and no casing. Tried emailing him this issue and he stopped responding. Finally get in touch with someone from the warranty department and told me the same thing with the person I was emailing told me that’s why they sent me the cushions without the casing. Explained to her that I knew that and that’s why I kept emailing the representative but again no response from him after he found out that the cushions were just mailed. Asked the lady over the phone if there’s anything she can do for the inconvenience or a coupon or a discount towards a new couch she could send me because of the inconvenience. She laughed and stated” that’s not even possible and I can’t speak on the behalf of other representatives ”. I get what she is saying but to laugh is incredibly unprofessional. Won’t be purchasing from this company again after buying my last 2 couches here. I know they won’t response and don’t care but just had to let others aware.

I just received my $400 & some living room tables, literally everything is damaged. Im beyond mad, seriously Ive had better at bobs discount & this is supposed to be better. The boxes werent damaged so that means they packaged everything scratched/cracked..Since I cant reply to the response, this definitely wasnt from assembling it came that way probably because everything nowadays is fake & we did porch because your prices for help were ridiculous.

If i could leave a 0, i would.First time home owner, furnishing our house and family who has used this company before, no problems, and good furniture, we decided to use them. Wrong choiceBought couch with downpayment August 3rd. They said 7-9 weeks, it took 14. A couple days before it was supposed to be delivered, they called and said they will not deliver it until it is paid in full, after we told them we were financing it. They said theres an application and your credit will take a major hit. First time home owners, we were very worried about that so we decided to bite the bullet and pay it off. We got it and, because of their lack of communication, it came wrong. So we sent it back and they made us pay $125. We fought them on that and eventually got the $125 back, but its the point we shouldnt have had to pay it in the first place. They took it back late November and said another 7-9 weeks. It is currently Feb 28, and they said it ShOuLd be delivered by March 5th. We told them we were done with the shoulds and we were canceling it.READ THE FINE PRINT EVERYONE! Something they dont tell you and you dont know till its too late because its on the back in half disappeared ink, theres a 33% restocking fee. We fought with them for a very long time about it and we were able to reduce to about 20% and we were just so tired of fighting which, after all that, was almost 7 months. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. Awful customer service and communication. Ryan, one of the managers at the Dunmore location, seemed nice but when time came we decided to cancel, he was very rude and very obviously only worried about getting his commission. We said we wanted to cancel and, very quickly, he said i will not do that.We now have an amazing sectional, ottoman, and matching reclining chair for the same price and amazing quality being delivery TOMORROW after being bought YESTERDAY. Big Lots, Eynon. Now that place, id recommend.Also alerted the Better Business Bureau so I hope they do something and help future, unknowing customers. Please beware
In the fall I ordered a bedroom set and a kitchen table. The salesperson Emily, (this isnt an issue with her, she was great to work with), but she informed me because of covid there was delay up to 4 months. I understood that and this was not the issue. I had 2 options for delivery. Option 1- free porch delivery, option 2 - pay a ridiculous amount to have them carry it in my house and set it up. I picked option 1. I was perfectly ok with carrying my stuff in (once) and setting it up myself. First thing I noticed was one of the boxes was torn and soaking wet. It was the slats for the bed frame. The wood was warped from being wet. The next issue was the dresser was damaged and the wood spacer between the drawers was broken off so I couldnt open or close the doors. The next issue was the barstools. One had a manufacturer defect and the other barstool which was already put together(Im assuming it was a floor model) was scratched. So I called and spoke to the service department. They ordered the new slats, the bar stool leg and they were checking on the dresser. The next day the manager calls and said they have a dresser I just need to carry the damaged one down, put it on the porch, and they will leave the new one there. I said no, I did all this the first time in the expectation that these items werent damaged. Once I opened the boxes upstairs is where I found the damage but I already hauled this items upstairs once. I said for my inconvenience your delivery people could take the old one out and bring the new one in. (Literally 5 minutes of work). To my surprise the manager of the Dunmore EFO agreed with me and said dont worry they will make it right. About 2 days later I received a phone call from this manager apologizing that he got in trouble from senior management(the owners), that they couldnt bring it inside since I didnt pay the outrageous amount for delivery the first time. He said I need to bring the dresser down as well as the slats for the bed. I asked him what are they taking off my bill for my inconvenience and trouble. He said he would check with senior management. Not even 5 minutes later he called back and said senior management refused to discount anything and said the only thing they could do would be for me to pay a delivery fee of $50($53 with tax). I argued my point, however the owners would not satisfy their customer and do the right thing. I had to pay the $53 because I wasnt going to carry that dresser down and back up again, nor ask a friend or family member to help me. So EFO shows up with the dresser 2 weeks later and slats for the bed which I ended up taking off for them. Well the slats were for a full size bed(I bought a queen). Another call to EFO to explain the latest issue and asking them how they can make this right and again crickets. Actually not crickets, the answer was the owners arent budging. So I ask when my new slats will be delivered. I was told Ill get a phone call for a date and time. Well Im at work Monday and on the ring doorbell I see the EFO delivery truck in front of my house and them leaving the slats on my porch. Monday was a freezing rain, sleet and snow storm. (Remember why I needed these new ones to begin with?) Yep, cause they got wet and ruined. Well guess what condition these were in when I got home. I called once again and once again nothing. The manager from the Dunmore EFO did apologize, a lot, but Im done with the Im sorrys. This has been one issue after another and there has been nothing done to make me a happy, satisfied customer. Instead Im aggravated, disgusted, irate, and annoyed. I asked to speak to the senior management before I post my review online, but they are not available to speak to customers. So if this does make it to the owners, please call me or write me because Id love to speak with you. Oh still dont have the one leg for the barstool and no slats for the bed. So in summary, go anywhere else other than EFO. It is not worth the headaches and poor customer service. Sorry for the rant but I dont want this happening to anyone else.

I purchased a sofa and love seat from efo furniture in Dunmore about a year ago along with their extended warranty coverage. When we received the furniture their was a small tear in the arm rest. I have been trying to get it repaired for 7 months now. I have been told someone will be in touch with me multiple times and even spoke to the manager in which she assured me I would hear from her a week and a half ago. Haven’t heard from her. Once again I had to contact them. Today she tells me they aren’t in charge of the service department but yet the service department hasn’t been in touch with me. Very unprofessional and if not resolved soon will be returning the furniture as they can’t hold up to their warranty. Very poor customer service.
