If you want to learn diving or continue diving skills, Waterworld is the only place to go. They are fun people but very serious about safety and their students. Theses are the professionals that will make you into the diver you should be.

Great customer service! They have a great selection of outboard motors, boats, and scuba diving equipment. Looked like they have alot of outboard servicing parts and mechanics.

Was charged $32 to attach ring lugs to battery cables(6 gauge) and I had the wire. Definitely not worth revisting.

Since more than a few years have passed since my last dive, I participated in a one-day SCUBA refresher course with Karl Kimball via Water World yesterday. The rental equipment was in excellent condition (all new), the WW team was knowledgeable and helpful, and Karl was not only a skilled instructor but also easy to connect with and a lot of fun. In no time at all, I regained both comfort and confidence underwater and now I’m looking forward to planning my next dive trip. Thank you, Karl Kimball and Water World!

The shop is absolutely beautiful!On top of that, the folks at the shop are extremely knowledgeable and kind. WaterWorld had the dive gear I was looking for at competitive prices. I could have ordered o,line from bigger dealers or supply houses, but shipping can be unpredictable this close to Christmas. I bought what I needed and didnt have to pay & gamble on shipping.

Did not purchase the boat from this company but did buy from individual that bought from this company. Took the boat to them for warranty work. After three weeks we were told the radio was not in and would get a call to update us. Never received that call but I continued to call daily. After calling four days in a row I was told boat has been fixed days ago and we could pick it up. After driving two hours to pick up boat, radio still did not work and leak in steering wheel was still very apparent that it was not fixed as well. This was found after we already hooked boat to truck. So we unhook boat and waited two hours for them to fix while we waited. I understand mistakes happen but never once did the manager apologize. Instead he tells us as we are leaving that he lost potential sales that day because he had to spend time fixing our boat.

Call ahead to make sure what is listed in inventory online is actually available. Drove 3 hours to find out a boat they had listed wasnt at their shop but was at another shop having the motor looked over. While I appreciate and understand them looking the motor over they should not have listed and priced the boat until it was checked out.They said they would have it back in a few days and wouldnt allow me to go look at the boat to make sure the body was in the shape it was supposed to be to justify another 6 hours worth of driving to come back and purchase it....

They have a great selection of boats and the staff was very helpful.

My wife and I have visited this dive shop on multiple occasions and we have always been provided exceptional service and attention. Their PADI dive instructors are top notch and made the OW and AOW courses very pleasant, fun, and informative beyond the required dive skills. Someone looking to start their scuba diving hobby would not be disappointed by putting their trust in Water World.I highly recommend this place when it comes to their diving services. I cannot speak to the boating portion of the shop, but there are plenty of boats on display and the entire building is very clean

We can not be more happy that we purchased our boat from Water World! We went to the boat show in Raleigh and were gathering research as to what kind of boat we would want to purchase. We talked to many dealers at the show. We ended up liking 2 boats. One was a boat from Water World and one was a dealer in Burlington. All I can say, is that we are so thankful and grateful that we ended up purchasing from Water World! First and foremost the staff treats you as family. This is so very important as we are new boat owners As new boat owners we have had a few “learning experiences”. Both times occurred as we were at Falls Lake putting the boat in the water. And both times we were able to call Water Word and bring the boat right over to them! They fixed our problem and we were out on the lake in no time. My husband and I keep saying, “what would we have done or do if we ended up purchasing a boat from an out of the area dealer!” We are so appreciative of all the absolutely wonderful staff.

My first boat purchased from them was in 2000. I bought a 25 footer with inboard outboard engine. They were very responsive and quick to resolve any tweaks that popped up. They have very knowledgeable service technicians that know their stuff.I made my second boat purchase from them in 2008. Still provided excellent and timely service. I will most likely be purchasing my next boat from them next year when I step back up to a 25 foot or larger to enjoy more fishing at the coast. I am also a scuba diver and have always been provided with reliable regulator rebuilds and equipment overhauls. The dive shop personnel arent just sales people, they are divers and will work with you to help you find the right gear for your needs. I can say that I have been a satisfied customer for more than 18 years now.

Great folks work here. Everyone was helpful, courteous, and tolerant of my stupi questions. I went there to get a paintball tank refilled, not for water recreation stuff. They were just as friendly over my $5 purchase, as they were with people dropping thousands of dollars on SCUBA gear. I will be back!

I purchased a new Starcraft 1915 deck boat from Mike Ley at the Fall boat show in Raleigh NC and not only was it the best price, but the pick up service was awesome! The owner David talked us though every aspect of the boat and motor, in addition Ron took us out on Falls Lake to make sure that everything was working properly...great company, if I could give them a 20 star I would...highly recommend...

Wasted 4 hours round trip to pick up a BCD that they couldnt locate after telling me on the phone that they had it in stock. Their temporary location is completely unorganized, extremely uninviting and customer service was horrible. I would not recommend Water World...

I always look to do business with smaller locally owned businesses. I bought a pontoon boat through Water World recently and had a great overall experience. Their pricing is VERY competitive and we saved thousands on the same exact boat we had priced through another boat shop. Water World could get a bit more organized and we did have a small hiccup on the day of pickup, but their team got everything handled and they were more than accommodating. And you can tell they genuinely care and appreciate your business... it doesnt stop at point of sale like most other retailers.I am confident that if and when I call on their team for any questions or maintenance needs, Ill have the same assistance. (At least Im hopeful!)Highly recommended!

I will never take my motor there again! I,m sure David will make some attempt to explain...I,ve had boats my entire life and never had treatment like this. The service manager badmouthed evinrude, they are a certified service center and made too many excuses to list.After completing the work the boat had zero improvement.Called back and was told the mechanic would call. Never did, wss told the owner would call, never did.Explained all this to evinrude and they have been great. Another dealer is gonna handle it.Terrible servce department. Cannot speak to boat sales.Uodate.I knew David would try to make excuses. I stand by my review. The wonderful dealer doing the work now found that the tech at waterworld left a sparkplu un plugged. Amongst other things.Update 2After having the boat less than 1 week rock outddors in Lexington fixed her. Waterworld left a plug inhooked. Fouled the other plugs. Boat now runs at 47 wot. Waterworld left it running on 5 cylinders at 37mph. This is my last warning about this dealer. Beware

Terrible marine service department. Left my engine for service a month ago and was told it would take 2 weeks. Called after 2 weeks and was told that they are waiting on parts, but would keep me posted. Called after 3 weeks, same message. 4 weeks and they are still telling me that they are waiting on parts and have not called me once. No way it takes 3 weeks to have a primer pump delivered. Liars, and rude to boot. Buyer beware.

Being honest, I havent been to this place yet. But after reading the Owner responses to bad reviews its obvious he/she cares about each and every customer that comes into the store. Also the responses are quite enjoyable to read!

Left outboard engine running out of water and overheated the engine. It seemed fine but Bob convinced me that it would be worthwhile for them to take a look at it. They found damage to the water pump due to the overheating that could have led to further, more expensive damage. Everything else checked out. Decent price on the repair. In on Tuesday, out on Friday just in time for the weekend. Thanks guys. Very happy.

The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Theyll take their time with you and make sure all of the questions you have are answered. The instructors are fantastic.

Great Dive Shop with Boat Sales & Service!Your 1-stop for most water-sports in Central North Carolina.They are a PADI 5-Star dive shop offering lessons and equipment in a friendly professional manner. You cant do better for scuba-diving.They stock many marine & boating needs at reasonable prices.Ive been doing business with them for 15+ years and know they are good people to deal with!(They dont sell fishing, spear-fishing, or waterskiing equipment.)

They posted a boat on craigslist. Arrived a week after it was posted because I was told it wasnt ready but would be on the day i arrived.I made a day to come because i had to drive 100 miles to get there.NOTHING had been done. Had money with me couldnt buy because hadnt been lake tested. And owner said itd be week or more to get it to lake. I couldnt believe this plaCE could ever stay in business.The owner was rude. Uncaring, cant believe anyone would ever buy anything here. I never will. Hope you dont waste your time with them like I did.

This is the most unorganized place! Weve had nothing but problems since they got our boat to work on it. Theyre rude and dont care about their customers. The mechanics are lazy (except Eddie) and dont show up or call in and the owner doesnt care that they dont. Weve already paid in full for everything they were suppose to do and still dont have it done 4 weeks later. EVERYTIME we call and ask when it will be finished they tell us it will be the next week. If youre thinking of having your boat worked on here, dont! I wouldnt recommend them to anyone.

Just bought a used boat from this company and the second time taking it out on the water the boat started messing up. They dont give you any type of warranty not even 30 days. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Dont buy from this company.
