My Canon EOS Rebel T3i would only focus intermittently. I explained a little of what I had to do to get a photo. He took a look at it and right away he told me what the problem was.He gave me an estimate that I thought was very reasonable to fix my problem. It was Friday when I went in, left it, and got it back on Monday.*Note: I had some questions about a problem I was having with the current lens I was using for a particular purpose. He showed me a lens he thought would suit what I was trying to accomplish. He gave me a demonstration and I was sold. The price for the lens was reasonable in my opinion too.Knowledgeable, Friendly and Great Service. This “will be” my go to source for any camera needs I have. I highly recommend Sebastian for your needs too.

The best place for camera repair and used gear. Ive gotten a few lenses repaired here and its always fantastic service. Just be sure to call and see if he is open sometimes he doesnt update Google but always updates his voicemail. Without a doubt the best place in the country for camera repair. He is very sought after for what he does be sure to leave a detailed message he will get back to you either the next day or soon after. If he is open just head to the store it probably needs to be bought by the Smithsonian because of the camera history he has when you walk in.

Sebastian is so knowledgeable and friendly. His prices are reasonable and he even showed me some stuff I didnt know about my camera. I read the reviews before driving an hour to take my Canon 7D DSLR to get serviced and it was worth the drive. This man cares about cameras and his customers.

I have tried to reach out twice to this company to get a lens repaired and its been two weeks and I still have had no reply. I wanted to like this company and I was looking forward to getting my lens fixed especially by them because the reviews are so good. However, their location is not open and they dont answer their email. Are they closed until further notice?

I’m very impressed with his work and will continue to go to him with any further issues or even just to buy camera accessories. I highly recommend.

Sebastian is truly gifted. He is incredibly professional, and very personable. I appreciate his candor, his willingness to help and he is clearly an expert in a field that gets narrower by the minute. If you are looking for an expert for your complex SLR or DSLR in the Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Apex or neighboring areas, this is your guy. He is hardworking, honest, and clearly very skilled at his craft. I recommend him highly!

Sebastian at Camera Works, Inc. was the best ever. I shipped my camera to him for repair and he had it diagnosed withing 24 hours. Then fixed, ready to ship back in just a couple days. I received the camera back well packed, perfect invoicing and with a new camera lens cap that was missing. I would recommend him and his shop to everyone. Thank you Sebastian! You may not be able to buy goods as cheaply here as on Amazon, but I believe in supporting local businesses, and this business is a fantastic one. Sebastian is extremely skilled and knowledgeable. I have purchased filters and flash diffusers, had my cameras cleaned, had a broken memory card slot repaired (without it having to be sent out), and even had a very tricky filter unscrewed after it had bent when dropped. All for extremely reasonable prices. Whenever I have a problem or a question, this is my first stop. Thank you, Camera Works, for providing superb and friendly service.

Just walking into his store assured me that the owner of this business knew very much about both digital and film camera mechanics. I just took in my Nikon lens to be repaired as it was jammed in, and he fixed it in just over a day at a reasonable cost!

Sebastian was amazing! He more than answered all my questions and didnt make me feel stupid for asking them. He even helped me with a little lens repair for free. He has been in the biz for more than 2 decades and knows his stuff and has one of the most amazing collections of cameras I have ever seen! If you are an organization or clean freak like me you will probably want to bring your label maker but Sebastian knows his method and is more than caring! His pricing is fair and market but even if it wasnt I would want to buy it with him!

I thought I had a major problem with my expensive Nikon lens and when I contacted Nikon they advised me to ship it to one of their repair centers $$$$$. Instead, after seeing reviews for Camera Works, I drove an hour from home and took it to Sebastian. He immediately knew what the problem was and quickly fixed it. While the problem was not major, I never would have tried to fix it myself. How wonderful to have a real camera repairman available.

This is one of those real shops that have died off one by one, but this one survives. You know the scene in Toy Story 2 when the toy repairman is called in to fix Woody? The movie lavishes a lot of time and close-ups on a true craftsman who is an expert at his job and who shows a reverence for materials he works with. The montage makes you love toy repair as much as he does. And this shop has the same effect, but with optics. One guy, who lives and breathes optics, and inhabits a sort of shrine to photographic equipment (there is room for a few humans among the floor-to-ceiling array of optic gear and curiosities--but not many humans).NB: as with any skilled tradesman, theres a price. If, like me, youve never sought out this kind of service before, you might be surprised by three-digit quotes for some repairs. But photography is an expensive business (or hobby), and Im sure it costs less to properly maintain your gear than to replace it later!

If you want a place where you can talk to an expert 1 on 1, then this is the place for you. I took my Sony AX33 Handycam here because I couldnt get it to focus. He took the camera, unscrewed the macro lens, and handed it back to me. IT WAS FIXED! Of course I felt like the biggest idiot but it was a humorous encounter. He didnt charge me a dime. Ill pick this independent, local gem over corporate support any day. You can tell hes a master of his craft and loves what he does.
