I had such a wonderful experience at this store. I walked in thinking Id have to send my trumpet away for 3 weeks for repairs, and walked out with a playable trumpet, thanks to the care and expertise of Aidan! He was incredibly helpful in assessing the problem, and was able to recommend some music books that were exactly what I was looking for. I could tell that he really cares about helping his customers, and he saved me a lot of time and money. Thank you Aidan! I definitely recommend checking this store out.

Their delivery service is horrible! Do not order a piano from this store. They do delivery with a company that only does curbside delivery. The piano is 200 pounds. Other music stores have a delivery service that helps you bring in the piano. It’s horrible. Buy an instrument from another store. The first time the piano was delivered, it was badly damaged. Still waiting on the second delivery, but I would stay as far away from this place when it comes to delivery.

I was just passing through the area, when I decided to stop and check out Music & Arts. All of the employees greeted me right away and offered assistance. Michael was both extremely knowledgeable and passionate when speaking to me about music. The experience felt personalized to meet my needs and like he had known me for years, because he seemed to know exactly what I was looking for! I will be returning and recommending to all of my friends.

Not sure what is going on with Music & Arts been renting to own a trumpet for my son since 2016 as you can see in the contract the number of payments but they are steady taking payments out of my checking account as of today and I can never get an explanation. I had to switch accountsabout two months into the contract and they were quick to call to get the new checking account information but as of now they will not call me theres nothing that no one is doing. Do yourself a favor buy a student instrument on Amazon and if your child is really into it but the instrument outright.

I just moved to Durham and am a clarinet/piano teacher. Stopped by this noon to get some materials for teaching. Various selections of music books and accessories. Great discounts for teachers. Tony the manager was very helpful and nice. Highly recommended.

Great music store. They have the feel of a local shop and the resources of a big chain. The front desk is really helpful and fun. The trumpet instructor is talented. The company stands by their instruments. I had a few issues with one of their used trumpets and they seem to have finally fixed it.

Ordered items for delivery to the store. Only partial order came in, but didnt learn that until after they called and I took time to go pick it up; I had specifically said I cannot come multiple times to pick up partial orders. When I got there, they hadnt checked to see if the entire order was there. First, they offer to come deliver the last piece of the order. But, then they cant do it anymore because now their district manager is out. I dont live near the store, at best my office is 15 minutes away and due to other appointments I dont have the flexibility to drop everything to come pick it up. If they had checked the order when it arrived, I could have made one trip. Every conversation with them is an excuse or to blame someone else. Not once have they taken responsibility or given more than an in-sincere apology.

This store is the bomb! T.J., Michael, Jim, Barry, and the rest of the staff are all incredibly knowledgable and laid-back. Not to mention their manager Tony is the nicest guy you’ll ever meet! Super hard working store for all your instrument needs. Definitely go pay them a visit!

Every time I have entered this facility I do not feel welcome. The other day I walked around looking and not one associate asked me if I needed anything or even asked how I was doing. When I went to check out, the young lady just says are you ready to check out with barely a smile. No enthusiasm. I hate to say this, but its as though they are stuck up. Funny, I have been to country clubs, my family owns businesses, boats, boat clubs, Motocross, etc. yet they do not any like they do. I mean, its a small music store not Broadway. I would spend more money in there and send other people if their customer service were to improve.

Employees were not helpful. Sold me the wrong product because they were not knowledgeable about their system and how to look things up. One employee was leaning on the counter playing on his phone and was unwilling to help. I love music and arts. Have been a customer for years but will never return to this store.

This was a great place to get some christmas shopping done. There was a price error with my purchase and they honored it in my favor!Will shop again.

I brought my dulcimer in to get a broken string fixed and they fixed the string (and a couple other issues) with no problem. Everyone who works there is super knowelgable, really friendly, and helpful!

Cashier Ben R was too busy checking us out to show us where the Saxophone ( which we rent from Music and Arts) reeds were located, and even the manager after we told him what happened, did not bother to help us out or show us where the reeds were located so we bought reeds at the school! Will never visit this store again even though closest to my home!

Walked in and not a single person said hello...I spoke n still no response.... maybe i didnt look like them or they thought my money wasnt green enough...but so wrong will drive all the way to Sam ash store in Raleigh....so sad but true..dont waste ur money or time🤨🤨🤔

Terrible billing practice: they bill you and they give you very short time to pay. Then they charge late fees. This is predatory billing !
