I had an HVAC installed by them recently and was pleased with how quickly they got the job done. Then when we needed to run the furnace it wasnt starting, so I gave them a call this morning, and Michelle told me they were booked today, but maybe could squeeze me in. Im glad she worked her magic with the schedule, the technician came out and got our furnace working in probably 2 minutes.Great service, very friendly, knowledgeable techs. Id highly recommend them.

We have a service contract with Lee Heating and Air. We had our service today from Zach, a very polite young man who serviced both A/C units. He was very polite, professional and courteous. He was very friendly to our dog. He also made sure our dog was protected when he was changing out some components which had some liquid associated with it. My wife and I appreciate his promptness for the appointment as well as his professionalism during the time he serviced our units. He also found a potential problem and fixed it before we lost our A/C during a hot summer day. There are not many young people who value their work ethic like Zach. He has a bright future and we wish him well.
We called for issues with our furnace. Brad was the technician that came out and was very thorough. He explained everything so we could understand. He got the heat working but we needed a part. He returned the next day with the part and fixed the issue quickly. We highly recommend this company and technician. Very satisfied with the service. 5 stars.

Good people, good service, good price. Thats getting harder and harder to find these days. The technician Brad replaced the compressor and filter drier for our AC condenser, sweated the copper fittings, checked for leaks with nitrogen, pulled vacuum, refilled the refrigerant and adjusted the pressures to the manufacturers specifications. All in less than ideal weather conditions. Needless to say, he did a difficult task well and with a good attitude which is something I particularly appreciate. Highly recommend this business.

A few weeks ago my heat didnt work. A guy named Gary came to the house. He got it working for me but said I need a new system since mine is 22 years old. I did not want to spend all that money for a new system so I sent him away and called several other places. Turns out Lee was the best price so I will have them put a new system in soon.
Last week I turned my heat on for the first time of the season. Unfortunately, it blew out cold air. I set up an appointment for the next day to have it looked at. The technician, Gary, arrived a little early and was very nice. He had the problem fixed that day and I was pleasantly surprised at the price. I would definitely recommend Lee AC.
My air conditioning quit working a few weeks ago. I called and Gary came that same day. He was nice and let me know what the cost would be before he fixed it. My air conditioning has worked better than ever since that day!

I tried turning on my heat last week, but it just blew cold air. I called several local repair shops, but Lee was the only one that could come the same day. Gary showed up that afternoon. He was clean cut and professional looking. He told me I needed a new thermostat and it was fixed before supper.
I called on a Saturday morning and left a message. Gary called me back a few minutes later and was able to come fix my heat a couple hours later. Good and fast service.

My husband tried installing a Nest thermostat, but it didnt work. He put the old thermostat back up, but our heat still wouldnt come on. It was a Saturday afternoon. We left a message and Gary called us back a few minutes later. He was at our house just an hour later. Turns out, my husband had blown a fuse trying to put up the new thermostat. Gary fixed it and I felt the bill was quite reasonable for a weekend! Very happy with the service!
The AC unit upstairs in my home was not working over the summer. I called another company, they came out and claimed to fix it, but it just quit a few days later. In the end, they came 3 times and charged me hundreds of dollars for it to not work again. A friend of mine recommended Lee AC, so I called them. Gary came to the house and knew right away what was wrong. I did have to wait a couple of days for the him to come back with the part, but he was able to fix it correctly this time. A month later, and the AC is still working!
Called to set up a time for service, and a real person answered! Jason was great, he setup everything very quickly, and had someone had here later that day.
Gary with Lee Air was very professional and responsive. They replaced a blower motor in our air handler.

We noticed that our lights dimmed when the AC kicked in. Ronald came out and diagnosed the issue and was able to fix before it caused bigger problems -- much appreciated in the near 100 degree heat! And because of the preventative maintenance contract, we got a discount on the parts.

It was sporadic but he figured it out before it became a more serious and costly problem. In addition they are alway professional and courteous when handling calls over the phones. After being left hung out to dry by another local vendor, I called Lee in a panic this morning asking for a service call. They first offered to rearrange their call schedule so they could get to me by 1pm. Since I already had another vendor set to come by then, I told them Id have to call them back. Less than 2 minutes later, Lee called me back and said they had rearranged their schedule further and could be to me within the hour. The techs were amazing, got my problem fixed, and it was very affordable. I will never call anyone else in Durham again for service except for Lee!
Have always had great service. Recently, just after a 12 snow storm, they braved the elements to send a tech out to get my A/C unit back on line. Found that it was a frozen condensate line, thawed it and we had heat back withing 15 minutes of when he arrived. I feel they went over and above anything I expected them to.
Disappointed to say the least. One of my ac units was not cooling. I called and a technician came over. He did tell me what was going on but I remained inside the house when he returned and told me that he was done and the total was $899. I was surprised since I did not expect that much and since I WAS NOT TOLD UPFRONT HOW MUCH it would cost. Anyway, I wrote him a check and he asked for my email in order to send my receipt by email.That receipt was never sent.My unit broke again two weeks later.I called service again, explained the situation and got a very blaze “Sorry, nothing we can do”.I left a voicemail for the manager and guess what?!? Never received a call back.Called again.... Nothing.Disrespectful, disappointing, shameful.
Lee Air upgraded my HVAC system in Durham a couple of years ago. What I didnt realize or they didnt mention, or install a valve on my water heater. The result is either scalding water going to my faucets in the house or a heater that runs constantly and inefficiently. I only discovered my system was running continuously after I upgraded to a smart thermostat and it was giving me errors/warning messages.When I called for an explanation of the problem I was told they would make it right. I have since left AT LEAST four messages with Kevin whos one of the managers. When Ive spoken with the receptionist Im told in a very annoyed tone that theres no one else to speak with... and would I like to be directed to his voicemail.This is only my experience, but its extremely disappointing to have a company like Lee Air disappear on me and refuse to fix or even acknowledge/apologize for the mistake. Theyre office people are quick to point out how long theyve been in business, so I would have hoped for better customer service. I would highly encourage someone to use a company that doesnt leave you hanging when you need them most.****** Since originally writing this I received a follow up phone call, a few apology emails, and most importantly reimbursement for the plumber I had to hire. The original experience was frustrating but they made it right and I give them credit for that. Every company, especially ones that have been around for a long time have a few stumbles.

Our furnace stopped working several weeks ago on a very cold Sunday. We contacted Lee A/C and they had a serviceman out within a few hours. The problem was diagnosed and it was determined the unit had to be replaced. Monday morning Kenny Rogers, another Lee employee, estimated what was needed for replacement and it’s was ordered. Installation started early Tuesday morning. Their professional crew worked all day installing the new system. We have used Lee in the past and this more recent experience is another testimonial to how well they treat their customers. Terrific service and quality workmanship. Thanks Lee.

I love this company. I bought a really old house and my inspector did a lousy job reporting on the condition of the HVAC systems. Once I discovered the problems with the three different units, I called Mr. Lee and he sent a crew over the next day. They made the units workable and then presented a plan to replace them one by one in a way that did not break my bank. He understood my situation with an eighth month pregnant wife and worked out a payment plan. To this day, whenever there is any issue, his service team comes within 24 hours and resolves the problem. His crews are so great. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Lee installed new ductwork and plenums on our house in June. It was pricey, but in line with what others quoted—plus, they did it in the summer when most companies wouldn’t. But my five stars is for what happened after. Our upstairs bonus room wasn’t getting any air because we were using it as storage and had all of the cooling distributed to the rooms we did use. But then we turned that room into an office and realized we had no idea how to change the plenums. I called Lee’s, and Kelly came out literally in an hour. He showed my husband how to change the dampers and gave him tips, and didn’t charge for a service call. They really stood by their work, and we will call them in the future when we need a new AC.

I have been a customer of Lee Air for over 20 years. They receive an A+ for their honesty and dependability, that’s why I will continue to use their services for at least another 20 years
This could be and exceptional office, however if you heard thesaying, It takes one bad apple to spoil the bunch. Thats theenvironment that you are in. This office houses two ServiceCoordinators/ Dispatchers, however one has been there about a year.During this timeframe they changed to a Vista operating system and sheis was the only employee left that was trained on the new system. Sheholds the key and she knows it so she uses this power to cover herown flaws, over exaggerate the errors made by trainees/other employees. She deliberately refused to train me on payroll after our manager told her to, so she could exaggerate this task to enable her to work from home and sucker the company out of overtime. The Service Manager is a nice guy, but he is constantly drilled by the Coordinator as to what he must do. With no one else proficient in the system she operates she has the Owners and Management eating out the palm of her hand. The company also still does unsupervised urine drug testing (no random, just pre-employment) which makes it an easy employment for regular drug users. Which can eventually be an issue for its customers. The operating system (Vista Cloud) is not the best for the HVAC side of the company, so it leads to extra work and no organization.These issues are now having a domino effect on customer service andretention. I was told to lie to customers to lead them to believethat they were scheduled for another date to cover the errors of theCoordinator. I witnessed customers getting yelled at and experiencedunprofessional verbiage. She was not reprimanded at all. This is asad set up and the Owners and Management have to see what they arecurrently employing as well has the manipulation. Once this is donetransparency will empower them to take over their office and give thesecond Coordinator the tools to blossom. They will have to be patientbecause it will be a fight and will take some structural changes tocomplete. They have to understand mistakes are part of the learningprocess and the current Coordinator doesnt have a trainer / mentoring personality. The office set up will not mesh well with a loud person on the other side of the partition wall. I dont have to relay messages, because shes so loud the customers can hear her for themselves. Its like a rock and roll party and a classical play in the same room divided by a piece of uninsulated sheetrock. The positive energy is suck out the air and dissected for small imperfections to blow out of proportion in hopes of retaining her smoke screen status.
