Make sure you get an estimate before you agree to work . Had two hydraulic hoses made for a tractor. Price for hose at Agri supply is 40 dollars each, 12ft plus 2 ft. I needed 13 ft. They charged 10.80 per foot, 405 dollars. They did good work but I NEVER would have agreed to that price. Total price was 630.70. When I objected to the price, he did deduct 20 percent. Still, paying 500 dollars for a job that should have been, at the most 200 kinda hurt.
