Needed to upsize mattress for my son, and was not sure where to start. There are so many options anymore! And wasn’t sold on getting a bed-in-a-box. I live in Hillsborough and helped set up an apartment for my mother-in-law in Durham. I shopped at Mattress Firm and Mattress Warehouse and was told I could get a $2799 king mattress for $999 at the latter, but only if I bought that day because of the Veterans Day sale. I came across Wholesale Mattress and it was so refreshing to meet Benjamin. He asked me just a few questions about the mattress’s use and made a couple recommendations. Even talked me out of a more expensive mattress because the features didn’t justify the price difference. His prices were so fair that there was no need to negotiate. I knew what these mattresses went for on Amazon and he was far below those and the big box stores’ “50-80% off sales.”My wife and I ended up getting her mom a mattress we loved so much that we bought one for ourselves even though our current mattress was only five years old. Just for kicks I went back to Mattress Warehouse (the big box store) a week later and the sales lady made the same exact offer: $999 on a $2799 mattress. Interesting...Benjamin, on the other hand, was so great to deal with. Excellent communication about delivery (via text, so convenient!), great prices, high quality mattresses and no used car salesman tactics. I will not buy a mattress from anywhere else in the triangle. Even if we move out of state I’ll still buy from Benjamin as mattresses these days are all vacuum packed and shipped anyway! I moved to Durham, North Carolina about 1 month ago from Taiwan. I was very fortunate to find a new apartment in one weekend so I wanted to buy a mattress so I can get some good sleep. For me going to a mattress store is like going to a used car lot, you never know what the price will be. So, I was leaning toward going to Costco to get a mattress at least I know that I will get named mattress at a reasonable price except it would take Costco about 10 days to make such delivery. But, I decided to look around a bit more before making any purchases. Long and behold, I came across Benjamin and the Wholesale Mattress & Furniture Store.I was very skeptical about looking at the picture of the store. It got interesting as the ratings were all 5s except for one review (over 80 5 reviews so they couldn’t all be fake). I figured I have nothing to lose to stop by and if I didn’t like what the place offered, I could always go to a “normal” furniture store down the block.I had low expectations when I arrived at the store. I was the only customer at the store. Benjamin listened to what I needed and I told him that I may not staying the US for the long term so he didn’t try to upsell me a mattress that would have lasted a life-time. Anyway, the idea of an adjustable bed was firmly planted inside of head by the other mattress salesman the day before so I decided to go for such an option for my new bed. Benjamin showed me that the same bed being sold at Amazon cost about 3X as he was offering me- - he paid minimum rent, no commission to any salesperson and able to keep the prices low by buying truckloads. Before I left, Benjamin told me that he also sells furniture and delivered the mattress the same day.The mattress was one of the most comfortable ones that I ever had. I did more research on the mattress and price and I was confident that I got a great deal. Benjamin offered to take a look at the pieces of furniture through an internet site and I was very impressed with the prices. I ended up buying a bedroom set, love seat, a leather lazy boy, TV stand, and coffee table. He was going to deliver everything for me on the eve of Jan 2. I was away in Dallas for the Christmas holidays and wanted an extra bed when my dad came to visit. I called Benjamin to order another queen size bed provided that he gave me a good deal and could deliver that new mattress on the eve of Jan. 1st when we arrive from Dallas.Benjamin called me a few days later and told me that all the furniture arrived and he had no place to put them and wanted to deliver them early. Benjamin and my apartment complex made an arrangement so he could make the delivery while I was away. I was like a kid opening up Christmas presents when I opened my door. Yes, the apartment was clean and the pieces of furniture looked FABULOUS! All of the pieces were as solid as I could expect (the love seat is so heavy that I couldn’t move it by myself without scratching my floor and recliner was comfortable and again, very well built). When I called Benjamin to thank him for all he has done, he told me about damage on the back of my TV stand and he has already ordered a replacement part to repair it for me. There was a scratch on my dresser and he would use touch up paint to fix it when he replaces my TV stand top. I couldn’t be more impressed with his service and professionalism. So, I would give Ben a 5 on the rating as well. I am really glad that I did and I NEVER expected to make my first friend in Durham, NC at a mattress store.

I just want to say that Benjamin is as true to his word as ever I went in to look at a new mattress and yes he up sold me buto he sold me to a better mattress for me sleep great I will recommend this place anyone whos looking for a good mattress a place to where you can trust what someone tells you and I will send all my friends and family to wholesale mattress and let them talk toBenjamin
