Ive never been to a store where the employees were more irritated that a customer showed up. I reluctantly purchased a pair of Indian dress shoes for my wedding from here. I wish I could do more business with you this is a local business but your employees have made me choose otherwise.

I have never been treated so poorly in a clothing store. If you are anything but thin and would like to be treated with any respect whatsoever, I would recommend avoiding this shop. It was made abundantly clear when I entered the store that I was unwelcome. I picked up a piece to look at the size and pattern and she spoke loudly from across the store “that won’t fit you!” Clearly irritated she stood up and took the dress out of my hands and hung it up before sighing as she grabbed a dress and said “only 4x will fit you.” (All this while she enthusiastically helped a thin woman try on a dress and find jewelry). I tried on the dress she selected and I could have fit another half of me inside the dress with me. I am an XL normally and am roughly 3 months pregnant. When I picked a couple more items a size or 2 down she stood outside the door as I was finishing and interrogated me on what I had and told me I was going to “break the zippers” and “rip the seams,” (neither of which I did). She stood outside of my dressing room making similar comments from the other side of the door and then when I opened the door she barged into the dressing room and continued making snide comments about my size and me trying on probably 5 dresses. Then scolded me because she said the dresses would break the hook off of the wall. I’m unsure how I am to know that I want to spend over $200 on a dress without seeing how it fit my body. Besides this the attendant was arguing via voice chat loudly with who I assume to be a vendor which was also uncomfortable, but not as uncomfortable as her clear irritation with having a midsize pregnant woman in her store.

We went with friends to buy clothes for their Hindu wedding. The sales person wasn’t friendly. We asked for help and they pointed us to the corner then shared “I’m just so tired and so tired of people today.” We quietly made our way to the corner as the store person continued talking to someone on their phone. If they don’t have time to help and don’t want to deal with people we will take our business elsewhere.

It is a bit pricey, but the quality is great. I bought saree for my best friends wedding and the woman working was extremely nice to me and helped show the bride many different options for her lengha.

I have been shopping at Shantie Plaza for the past two years in Minneapolis. I love their new location in Eagan. The owner and her granddaughter are so friendly and helpful. Of all the at all the shops I visited and shopped yesterday none but Shantie Plaza made me feel so comfortable. They provided my children and I water while I shopped. Just a beautiful place to shop at and amazing owner.

Bad experience!I was looking for a cute red or blue wedding dress and I was discriminated. She called me fat and said I needed to loose weight she pressured me to purchase the dress but I wont ever go back there again

My niece is getting married to an Indian man in a Hindu ceremony in late August and so a whole group of my family members descended on Shantie’s shop to find suitable wedding garb. She was so helpful and part of our party found wedding outfits that day. She told us that she was traveling to India soon to buy new stock so when she returned I went again and took some more family members. They both found beautiful outfits and I finally chose one too. Now I’m getting ready to take more family members to help them find wedding outfits. I know we will be in good hands with Shantie! She is friendly and puts one at ease right away. Her teenage niece, Melissa, helped my teen daughter find the perfect outfit too! Thank you Shantie!! Thank you Melissa!

The only reason I gave it a one is because it had a good location. But I would drive a thousand miles to any other indian store before I purchased anything from her again.

Im attending my first sangeet this summer and Ive been a little overwhelmed with what to wear and how to wear it! I found this shop on google and took a chance. Easiest shopping experience of my life! Customer service was amazing. The owner took one look at me, guessed my size, picked out something for me to try on and it was perfect! In and out in 10 minutes and Im so excited to wear my new outfit to the event! Beautiful blues and golds and comfortable, too! Highly recommend!!

Only reason I gave it a 1 star is because I cant give a zero. We went over there to buy a dress for my mom for Eid. The lady over there kept trying to show us dresses which we didnt like. While we were looking she told us to get out out she said when you guys make up your mind then come back. They have the worst costomer service Ive ever experienced

Way Overpriced and bad customer service. They sold us a dress by talking very nicely but it was damaged. They did not fixed or returned or exchanged it after we paid. They are selling 10 times higher prices too and making people fool.

Shanties Plaza was a wonderful experience! They went above and beyond all of our Indian clothing needs. We went in seeking traditional sangeet-style wedding attire as well as formal Indian attire for our families. They seamlessly and pleasantly tended to all of us, matching us in color and size quickly and effectively. The owner makes you feel welcome and helps you the best she can given she sources here inventory from India individually. Her outfits are all unique and the latest in trend, her customer service is outstanding, and her prices/value are the best. I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for Indian clothing/jewelry—it outperforms the prices in Chicago! Cant wait to go back!

Shantie Plaza have so many beautiful indian outfits...all different designs, from Men to kids, beautiful Sarees...Red Carpet looks !! Wearing one from hers is like feeling like a million bucks!, Shantie is so down to earth, so pleasant, happy go lucky person, very very friendly person. She let you open anything, try on anything, make sure you are happy before you left her store. Shanties Plaza has been a one stop shop for all my indian apparel. I have been going there for years for all my east indian wear. They have an amazing accessory line to match every outfit. The clothing and color is always beautiful. The quality is absolutely gorgous and they always have the best selection. They spend the time to find the perfect outfit. I always spend way too much time than I should because everything is so pretty. Shantie is also very nice and so kind and provides the best customer service. I love this store and the location is perfectly located in the middle of the city.

Its amazing how some ppl can downgrade you for the excellent service, whether she is on the phone whilst ppl are shopping that tells you that she trust her customers in the store and doesnt have to be behind them, also that tells you she doesnt force ppl to buy stuff, its of their choice, I was in that store a few days ago and the service was excellent, I bought 4 Indian outfit and I was given so much extra stuff for free that I didnt had to bargain with her, instead she bargained with me and it was more than I expect, her price is exotic 👌 And I can back that up because she goes directly to India and get her stuff, so her items are not over-priced, she is down to earth but many ppl will not see it as that because she doesnt put on an act to get a sales, she is herself thats because she does honest business. I will be back soon to shop for the summer occasions coming up cannot wait for your new stocks, absolutely love this place.

I just met these gorgeous ladies at their beautiful store.Ibought some beautiful saris and some saris for mom too.This is a wonderful lady and please go inside she is so sweet and lovely.In the last, i am going to make this shop my regular shopping shop for future.Beleive me she has good stuff.Love you Shanti and your little grandaughter. I hated this place.She is very rude.She also has terrible customer service.She talked on the phone the whole time we were there. She gave us a bad attitude. She didnt give us a bag or say thank you for shopping here at the end. She threw what we bought from her at us.I was very disappointed because I had higher hopes for this store.I wouldnt bother going here.
