I was looking for a vanity and found one with a sticker price of $420. When I carted it up to pay for it, they said it was $475! I showed them the sticker that THEY made (correct sticker for the correct vanity, btw), and they said we raised the prices over a month ago...You couldnt update your price tag over a months time? Please.I asked the lady at the counter to honor the price tag on the item, but she said no, and that they were trying to get things updated - trying isnt good enough if you demand your customers to pay a higher price. Its bmos mistake, not mine. At least have the courtesy to apologize nicely rather than act completely arrogant. She was rude, and her weak response is not acceptable.

If youre willing to dig through their amazingly vast inventory, this place has some great stuff. Most is slightly worn even if its new because it has been moved around a bit, but if youre comfortable touching up paint, you can get incredible deals on doors, windows, bath fixtures etc.

I love this place! You need a plan when you come or it can be overwhelming, but they have a lot and the staff is always very helpful.

We are building a new house and bought our kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities and some doors. Received excellent assistance from a one of the employees, unfortunately I do not know is name but he has assisted us on 2 different visits. He is petite but he has a great personality, very friendly, extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The person thats works at the front desk is always very friendly too. Love the quality of the products.

A great place to look around. Bring your shopping list and a tape measure. Lots of good deals if you know what you are looking for. The check out was exhausting. Cashier was rude; mad at me for pointing out the price. So, she grabbed her tape measure and stomped over to the display to find that she was wrong. Then she was irritated that she had to issue a refund. UGH. The person behind me had a similar experience. with an item that she found. So, if a business is going to throw things in a box and mark down the price, they should let the cashier know.

This place could have lots of potential other then the fact that everything is proxe gouging. Yes its a building material outlet, pricing doesnt mean anything, especially when its already through the roof at the moment and they hardly budge on the price. Their on the higher end of the so called outlet pricing. Theyd move alot more product if they just their prices under control and manage it wisely. Lower your prices, more volume of people, more money being spent.

I like this place. The prices are reasonable. Things are fairly easy to locate. Dont like the no return policy, and I wish they just stated the price on the item instead of adding 12% fee plus tax... I love the selections available for cabinets.I have always found the staff to be pleasant and helpful as well.If they offered returns on defective items my four stars would have been five.

Builders Material Outlet has a wide selection of interior and exterior doors, random sized high end windows, kitchen cabinets, flooring, siding, vanity tops, butcher blocks and trim. They offer an auction feature or you can purchase in-house but be prepared to pay an ADDITIONAL 12% on top of the price plus sales tax. The strength is in their selection of in-stock midgrade kitchen cabinets and vanities, butcher block, 3/8 slab granite, wood trim, and high end windows and doors. The downside is their lack of inventory organization or customer service. It is a great place to piece meal together a rehab but overall if you are savy you can get equal, or better pricing from using Home Depot Bid room or the 11% rebate from Menards or a local supplier.

I do not think I can give Building Materials Outlet the praise that it truly deserves, but I will try. Because of BMO I have been able to renovate my home for a fraction of the price. Ive purchased everything from flooring, cabinets, doors, lighting, Plumbing fixtures, and even mirrors from BMO. All for a fraction of the price I would have paid at a big box store. This establishment definitely caters to the DIY Weekender! But be prepared to do some digging and picking. If you are okay with a little bit of scratch and dent, as well as a little compromise in style; this is definitely the store for you. Every visit is like a new adventure, and it is worth taking a look at their online auctions as well. I was able to purchase over 800 square feet of unfinished Hickory flooring via their auctions system for under $800, which was well over what I needed and well under my budget. And, I even sold the leftover material and recouped some of my cost. It is worth stopping in to peruse their inventory, but be prepared to lose a few hours because this place is massive. And make sure to bring a large vehicle because you are bound to find material you didnt even know you needed. Enjoy and happy Hunting!

The prices are great, and they have some unique pieces. The warehouse could use more people to give direction, but if youre willing to do your own research and light digging in the warehouse, you will appreciate this place. Do not go here if you are afraid of doing your own work or expect everything to be perfect.

Since I’m high risk for getting Covid I nicely asked if I could send them a list of cabinets we need on their order form and give them my credit card and them come pick them up outside when they were ready. The owner repeatedly told me to “just come inside” even though I’m not comfortable she was totally unwilling to make any accommodations during the virus. I suggested many solutions, like someone quickly grabbing our card outside and running it, which didn’t require us coming in, giving the card over the phone, etc and she just said no that’s not how they do things and I have to go in. Very rude — don’t expect any accommodations to keep their customers safe.

Dont be fooled by their unfinished Maple cabinets. I bought 2 of them and the rest that I needed were out of stock. Waited and waited to be in stock so I started looking around.If you pull the green label off the cabinet you will see its the brand QualityOne. This is sold at menards for a cheaper price per cabinet and you are also not paying their 12% buyers fee. I bought 2 cabinets from BMO and the same 2 cabinets is a total of 105 dollars cheaper at Menards.This glad I figured this out and got the remaining 6 matching cabinets for a savings of about 300 bucks.Tricky tricky BMO. Many items to choose from with most at great pricing. Employees are very helpful. My only problem with the place is that many items are leaned up tightly against others sideways and frontwards making it impossible to see all (ie, sliding glass doors, windows, etc).

Great location for countertops, cabinetry, trim and materials. The added 12% charge for commission is a little unexpected but great prices nonetheless.

Good prices BUT be aware that a 10% fee is added at check out. The fee made our purchase comparable to a big box store however the item we purchased would have been special order at a big box store so it was a bonus to bring the item home that day.

Best place to find what you need for your home!

Make sure to bring a measure, they have Slab doors in groups by width. We purchased what we thought was a 28 door, drove over an hour home to find out it was a 30 (slab) door. Wouldnt hurt them to let us swap it out but they refused to work with us. Wont recommend to friends or family anymore.

It is definitely an outlet. Hit or miss if youre looking for something specific, but great opportunities if youre flexible in what you seek.

Theres so much stuff here you can wander for hours and hours looking through everything. Great prices, as long as you take your time looking for the best deal, which sometimes is at the back of a row of doors or windows. So look carefully through everything, and chances are youll find something that will work!

Love this place but the service is meh..

This place is amazing because of how much materials there is inside to choose from at a very affordable price.

Stopped in looking at bathroom faucets. No rhyme or reason to where they are; just thrown on a shelf. The bad part though was the 4 I was interested in that I looked up online were anywhere from$10-$45 CHEAPER at Home Depot or Menards! Why would I pay more money for as-is merchandise than I can for a new, guaranteed one from an actual retailer. This place us a huge ripoff!

We love the deals we find here, we live about two hours away, but the prices make the drive worth it. Have built our cabin and now house with brand new windows entirely from here for less than half retail price (I only found that out after talking to the window manufacturer and having them quote the retail prices). We also bought all our brand new cupboards here and many doors. We’ve been very impressed with the friendly employees and their helpfulness, they always make the loading & shopping process go smoothly and efficiently. We will definitely be back!

Amazing place that will take a long time to get through on your first visit. After that, you can usually head to the area you need to quickly. Great selection of flooring, windows and doors. Lots of other goodies too. stock constantly changes, so no guarantee that what you look at will be there next time but fun to see new stuff. Lots of stuff out in the yard too. Prices seem very good. You pay the listed price plus a 12% commission and tax. No returns allowed. Everything I have bought has been first rate.

As long as there are no problems, you may be able to find some bargains there. However, I paid $850 for a vanity. I found that the backsplash was cracked. I know that I could not get an exchange or a refund, but I could not even buy a replacement. Other people have had very good experiences when there were no problems. IF there is a problem, forget about it.

This place is a wonderland. Just ask for help and someone will take you to locate whatever home improvement treasure you are seeking. Fair prices.

Such a great place. Im a remodeler, and I come here quite frequently when I get to do the design for my jobs, and other times, when I just want to save a little money. They have tons of stuff, and most of it is reasonably priced, with the exception of their butcher block.

They always a a massive selection of things. I often send clients here to buy carpet squares and I have bought at least a dozen bath counter tops here.

Retail prices without the service and selection. Prices are fairly close to retail, but you cant return anything, they dont have multiples of things or selection of sizes. I was reprimanded for taking a picture of something. I wanted to see if it would work in my setting, but I cant take a picture? Go to Reuse Center by Habitat for Humanity instead-prices are better, service is great and you feel better about spending your money.

Unethical and dishonest company - buyer beware!Some of their stock is sold via online bid on their website. I bid on a certain brand of siding and won the bid. I went to collect my items only to find that the products they had were NOT the brand they had listed for sale - they were a different and incompatible brand. I brought this mistake to their attention and was told that even though the incorrect listing was their error, I was out of luck and had to purchase the items or be banned from shopping there in the future. It was my fault for not confirming that the product they listed was what they were actually selling. What??I was completely shocked by their unethical and dishonest practices. I wont be shopping here again.

Mixed feelings I guess...There is some good deals,Maybe call it a hunters paradise?Would be nice to have a clearly marked Entrance vs one person yelling at other employees about customers walking in an open garage door.

I absolutely love this place. Every time you walk through the doors its basically an adventure. Because there materials are constantly being changed out. The prices are incredibly good. one word of caution one word of caution though, if you have small children you have to sign a waiver for them to be in the store with you. Because basically this place is one huge continuously moving and changing Warehouse.

What a selection of building items! Doors, vanities, cabinets, trim, flooring, appliances, and more. The one downfall is that you cant take any pictures. That would make it easier to have pictures to show my husband in order to get his opinion, especially since you cannot return anything. Oh, and know your measurements and bring a measuring tape.
