My husband and I have been coming here for a while now and always have a great experience. I mostly go for Pokémon cards but always find something new and awesome. Great selection. Owner and staff are amazing, nice and interesting. We always feel welcomed and appreciated. I think people who post about the owner being rude, dont understand this is a private business and you are talking to a real human with real feelings and experiences, instead of a Target employee who is paid to be nice to you. If you go in there acting like a goober you might get treated like a goober.

I dont like to come into places when Im in my military uniform, but I was doing another soldier a favor during an event and he needed to use the UPS store. While he was doing that, I stopped in for only about 3-5 minutes just to take a look. I thought the store was really cool, but nothing caught my eye that felt like a must buy so as I walked out the store I said to the guy closest cool store. A guy behind him with a ponytail shouted BRO to finish my sentence in a very rude fashion. Im not sure if he felt I was some kind of muscle head or something (I definitely dont look like one!) but it was clear my presence wasnt appreciated.tl;dr Cool store, but apparently not the friendliest place, and thats disappointing. I will highly recommend the smoke shop to the left a few doors down if you need drinks or something, though. The guy at the counter in there was extremely friendly!

So many bad comments about the owner or the service there but the owner or the one guy who I bought Pokemon cards for my son is really nice. He gave my son some cards for free no it doesnt happen as often cause how would they stay in business if they did it all the time? But he gave us a huge stack for free I think its cause Im teaching my son how to play Pokemon my son is 7 and he was really happy to see more cards then what he listed for me to find for him. The only reason why I gave a four is because I wish they had more on their website like maybe an amount of money they sell and buy for games and such. Maybe like a range of amount so Im not always calling. Otherwise I loved the place. The cards are at a fare price, I have yet to see the rest of the store but I will. Now that I know they sell old video games thata great cause we dont have the new games in our house.

Staff are rude to put it mildly. Called to ask if toploaders are in stock, told nope I can stop calling they are $9 each on eBay (despite never previously calling). Heres an idea, I wouldnt be calling attempting to source the item if I could find them on eBay at normal prices. I understand toploaders are presently a difficult item to obtain but learn to talk to people with some basic respect.

Called to get a quote on how much they would buy a game for said yes we will buy but have to see. Get there only to say the game told over phone they wont buy. Dont waste your time with this sad store.

So first off, probably wouldn’t bring my kids with me as the owner can be a bit vulgar and has some questionable opinions and overall demeanor. Secondly, the shop is mess. There’s just so much stuff in such a small space and organization is mediocre at best so you’ll spend some rifling through boxes.With that out of the way we get to the good stuff, charm(?) and nostalgia. I’ve always enjoyed the search for buried treasure approach to collectible shops and I appreciate when I’m able to do so and don’t have an associate breathing down my neck. I collect/play MtG and since moving to the area this has been my go to place as I can just look through single bins, pic stuff out of the case and shop without having to think about what I want ahead of time or put through an order online. I’ve also found that the owner is willing to work with you on price, especially if you bring cash. Inventory is also surprisingly decent for Mtg even though it’s primarily a comic shop and I’ve been able to pick up most of what I’ve been looking for.It’s not for everyone but I like it.

The store itself is cool and has a lot of stuff Id be interested in buying, but my girlfriend and I left after only a few minutes due to overhearing how the owner/employee was speaking. When we came in, he was on the phone swearing a lot, which struck me as very unprofessional, but we kept looking around.Later, we overheard him talking about how a 16-year old girl had got it going on and that shes pretty for a brown, but not like a Texas cheerleader-type. That was it for us, we put the items we were interested in back on the shelf and walked out without a word.Im not normally the type to write negative reviews for places, and I was very excited to support a local business, but standing up for whats right and supporting good people is important to me. If youre someone directed by a strong moral compass, Id encourage you to shop elsewhere.Peace and love to everyone.

I recently called and asked what kind of Pokémon cards they had in stock, the owner continued to ask me if I was just “some kid” and then hung up on my, I was in shock as all I wanted to know is if they had any Pokémon cards that I was looking to purchase, I would not recommend purchasing from this rude and uneducated disrespectful company. And especially do not bring any children here due to the lack of respect towards customers.

As a customer for the last 10 years, this is the best collectable shop around to me. Steve the owner is a unique guy and is very honest and open about his interests. Shop is a nerd heaven. Star wars, gi joe, marvel, DC, Pokémon, and thousands of comics to choose from. I recommend you dont take anything to heart and definitely not for the easily offended folks. Give the shop a shot! Definitely recommend it.

Talking bad about your customers after they leave or even at all is poor business practice. Whether someone buys something or not no one deserves to be treated this way. I actually put two items down and left. NEVER AGAIN!! JUST RUDE .

Great collection store. A lot of good pricing, some a little steep but usually worth due to rarity. Staff there is real, straight to the point and no BS. Steve and Matt have been nothing but helpful to me. I spend hundreds of dollars on collecting here. One of a kind. Leave your feelings at the door, kind of service, and I love it.

I love this place. I can always find a deal and the owner is entertaining and full of outrageous comments. Staff know there stuff and you won’t get much past them which means you won’t get ripped off either. There are bigger places but they charge for it. Cedar Cliff Collectibles is the place I keep going back to. I buy action figures, non sport cards, but they have plenty of comic books and inventory is always changing.

This is how stores should be.. knowledgeable owner! Tons of stuff! Not many places like this in the cities!

I been a regular at this place for about a year now. What keeps me coming back is really not so much the product they have (they have a ton of variety.. its kind of insane), but because the workers are very down to earth and keep everything very real. They are very enjoyable to talk to and you can easily have a very good conversation about almost anything whether it be current events or some trend from the past.If you collect, want to take a trip down memory lane, and/or show your kids what it was like when you were a kid. I would give this place a visit!

If you are looking for cool vintage toys, comics, trading cards, gaming cards, etc, this place should be on your list of stops! They have a little bit of everything and a pretty big selection of action figures and pop dolls. I go at least twice a month as they are always getting new inventory in. If you are looking for something, ask, they might just have it behind the counter or in the back. I highly recommend these guys.

Very broad selection of collectible items. from cards, comics, games, action figures, toys, statues.....etc. The owner Steve is a direct kind of guy and it can take you by surprise if youre unaccustomed to it. He seemed a bit aloof when I first started going to Cedar Collectibles but after engaging him in one conversation after another, I found him to be a very intelligent guy with a great sense of humor. Just a straight forward, no nonsense kind of guy. We talk artists, comics, movies, music...etc, all the time. Ive sold lots of stuff to him and purchased lots of items from the store. (Not as much as Im sure hed like). Matt is also a very pleasant and always helpful presence in the store as well. I guess it comes down to personality clashes because my experiences with Steve and Matt have always been terrific. Terence

I understand why some might feel the way they do. The place is like a museum and Im guessing tons of people just go in to look at cool stuff and never buy anything and that would be frustrating to work in. Ive only had the chance to go in a few times in the past year or so and sometimes with kids which could potentially be a nightmare for collectible shops because kids just dont know any better. I try to be respectful and keep my kids right by me and dont let them touch everything. After we pay I make sure the kids say thank you and they tell us thanks back and see you next time. you show respect and they show it back.

I have been to this place a handful of times now. Im not sure whatever bad experience other reviewers are referring to as far as the staff goes. Maybe I am just lucky, but Ive never had any bad vibes. Also, I have had some awesome finds here, and they were for an excellent price as well! The inventory seems to change often, as I make it down here maybe 1-2 times a month, and I always see new things in the store. I recommend checking it out!

I have been going to this store for a long as I can remember. If I need to find a Transformer. They will have it. And if not, they have something even better. I live in Burnsville and I will always come to this store. The trip is always worth it!

While I’ve able to find some affordable items, I find it hard to go into the place. I witnessed a terrible confrontation between the owner and an older couple who was trying to sell some of their kids stuff. The meeting escalated to the point of the owner telling the couple to get the F out and he couldn’t believe the husband would sleep with that thing (the wife).On another occasion I asked if they buy Star Trek items. He never bothered to look me in the eye when he spoke to me.

Great little shop. We go out of our way to purchase from here. My husband loves to pop in just for MTG cards and comics.

The owner has no interest in helping out unless youre going to spend a decent amount of money. 0 customer service otherwise. He barely even acknowledges you until you come to the register (you have to walk right past him to get in the door). The only reason I ever come in is if I cant find it anywhere else. Dont come here

Occasionally I research online pricing for items I purchase at store after purchase, and find that I spent a very fair price on these items. Would indeed recommend though I would also like to not have the store become overcrowded.

Great stock, always fun to look through the place for hours, its like a treasure hunt. Everyone who says the owner is a jerk just doesnt understand his sense of humor. Maybe if people had the balls to hold a friendly conversation with him theyd find out hes just sarcastic and humorous. Ive chit-chatted with him numerous times, and even haggled about used action figures before. Hes more friendly than youd assume. When I first used to go there, I was sort of under the same impression as most of you, but after a while I started actually being friendly towards him instead of shying away, and it opened my eyes so to speak. Hes a cool guy. Give it a shot, you timid nerds. He doesnt bite THAT hard. :P

Cool place! Decent selection that offers something for all everyone. Marvel, DC, Star Trek, Star Wars, LOTR, Walking Dead, Evil Dead and a Tardis or two can be found. The down sizing of the store to fit in the Quantum Realm was a bit of a bummer. In the Giant Man store one could always dig around under the tables for a low priced treasure. Treasures are still to be found but one must be pure of heart to find them. Two treasures found! Great addition to my Avengers area.

The store is a good one. The staff was knowledgeable But they need to have an employee on hand for customer service. I have been there two times, both times the two guys inside were sitting and focused only on the incoming items. They really need someone offering help. Yesterday they had about ten shoppers, during the 20 mins while I was looking through some cards- good for the business, but folks were interested in getting things from the racks (that need to be unlocked). The employee goes and unlocks it, no personal skills, then actually ran one of the times back to whatever he was doing inside the employee area. My son and I got passed by probably over and over without even a hello. The store has no real competition in the area(except for the comic books) I know if there was another card store I would take our business to the other. Not paying the shipping and handling is very nice though!The location and the prices are good. The service was not good.

This is the worst place to shop for comics or anything collectible related. The workers were all rude as hell. They regard shoppers with so much disdain. I had my son with me to shop for comics. He had a horrible experience because the workers were making rude comments about kids and about touching their stuff. Anyone making positive comments about this store are either close friends of the workers or being paid by the owner. If you dont believe me, go out there and see for yourself. Youll feel the negativety once you step in the door. For a place that is supposed to sell comics and fun, the owner and employees are all rude and obnoxious. If I could give a zero rating or negative, I would give them a zero or negative 10. Dont waste your time there. Go to Minds Eye comics if your in the area.

Awesome store with pretty much everything you could want. I was looking for a relatively now obscure card game (Star Wars CCG) and there were booster packs and a large selection of singles to get me back into the game. Going into the store is like revisiting my childhood and brings back great memories. I love the selection of MTG cards. Only took one star off for the hours, the latest it is open is until 7pm.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS ABUSIVE MAN. The owner screamed at my younger brother aged 6 at the time for picking up a comic he intended to buy and looked through the pages. He lost $1000s of dollars of our money over his disrespect and abusive behavior. We to this day are regular customers to all of the surrounding comic book shops. Learn some respect sir.

The only good things were the merchandise, but the comics were not in order, and the staff did not help look for an item I wanted. The older gentleman looked down on you if you did not know where the stuff is in a messy place like that. Overall though, the prices were pretty good. Wish the staff focused more on customers than themselves though.

I really like the selection of comics and collectibles, you could lose yourself going through it all! The reason I didnt give it more stars is cuz of some members of the staff. Although I have encountered polite employees there, most seem to treat customers rudely.

Ive been to this place a grand total of four times. Each time I leave telling myself I am never coming back. And yet I seem to find myself there at least once a year.The majority of reviewers have hit the nail right on the head. The store itself is worth checking out. An excellent selection of comics, action figures, some sports cards, a decent amount of video games and a small amount of dvds and records can be found.The previous comment about organization is correct. There seems to be some attempt at grouping, but if your hoping for some type of coherent filing system, go elsewhere. If you dont mind rummaging through piles of interesting crap, dig in! Ive spent hours just wandering around the place and still felt like I didnt see everything.The big draw back is indeed the customer service. I am a very respectful person. During my visits, I always keep to myself and only bother the staff when I am paying or when I want something that theyve locked in a case. You would think this would keep me relatively safe from their scorn. Wrong. The first time I stepped foot in the place they made some sideways comment about the shirt I was wearing. Didnt bother to greet me, simply cracked wise about my clothes. Whatever, I brushed it off.Im sure he might be a decent person outside of the store, but at work, the owner is a jerk. No professionalism, not at all friendly and at times, downright abusive to customers. I agree with the previous comment about the other employees. While not abusive like the boss, its pretty clear they dont give a rip.My advice, check this place out at least once, but unless you enjoy dealing with service that ranges from confrontational and abrasive on a bad day to dismissive on a good day, keep to yourself.

Store employee, not sure if it was the owner, was very disrespectful and rude when I brought in some goods to possibly sell. The whole community around comics, collectibles, and games is supposed to be fun and respectful of one another no matter the person because you all share a common passion. There was a very nice person who was just another customer who had some nice words after the terrible attitude of the stores employee. I do not recommend shopping or selling at this store.

Im never returning to this store again. The owners are shady and rude to their guests, and the store is a mess. The last time I was in there a gentleman left after purchasing a couple dollars worth of single trading cards. After he leaves the owner made a comment to a co worker about how he probably doesnt have enough money to feed his kids now that he bought those. I couldnt believe it. Ie never seen a business owner this inconsiderate.Hopefully one day they learn how to treat their customers.

This place has done me well over many years. Its like an indoor garage sale in the best possible way. And to everyone complaining about the rude staff, well, Im sorry you didnt grow up reading comics in the 80s because its about as genuine of a collectible store you can find in state. I bet those dudes know the letterer of obscure silver age Shazam comics. Ill gladly wait at the register and let my eyes wander at some weird Aliens statue while they complain about other customers/what the current state of standard is.

If you want to purchase cool, offbeat, retro items like toys, comics, or DVDs - this is a great place to go! If you want to try to sell your stuff here, dont do it. The owner is rough around the edges but usually tolerable if youre there to buy, but can be downright mean if youre there to sell. I know people in the Midwest arent used to people who are direct, but this guys not just direct. He goes above and beyond to be rude to the seller, and when they leave, he makes unflattering comments about them to the other customers. If I was selling, Id give this place 1 star, but if I was just looking to make a purchase, Id give it 4. So Im evening it out and rounding down, just because of how searingly bad the customer service is.

Very rude. Owner was vulgar and actually ridiculed choices of my purchases. The entire time I was there he ranted about Trump. Had I not been looking for some toys for my kid, I wouldve left immediately. The things we do for our kids. They did have a great selection of toys, anf if youre in the mood to be drawn into political debates and ridiculed for your purchases, this is the place for you!

I see a lot of people talking about the owner in reviews and all Im going to say is, if youre not an idiot, he will treat you awesomely! This store is a gem! There is no other place in the Twin Cities like it, and he has stuff you need and nobody else has. The people Ive seen coming in asking DUMB questions about Pokemon cards and stuff, I dont blame him for being a bit rude at times. But if youre an adult, and an action figure fan, youll be fine. This place is heaven. GI Joe 25ths, reaction figures, hot wheels, marvel legends, you name it. They got it.

Tried to sell some vintage dolls here. Most of it was girl stuff which the guy didnt sell. He told me that girls dont collect things when we were negotiating prices and offered me about 1/10th of what he was going to sell it for. 33% is about average for pawning things so this was a very rude offer.

The store has plenty of cool stuff. From comics, to toys, to trading cards to retro video games. The owner has a really foul mouth though. Listening to constant f bombs got old after 10 minutes, as well as him talking trash about customers who just left and throwing out racial slurs (N word). Really a disrespectful guy with some serious issues. I might go in there one more time to see if its a repeat experience, and if so, I wont shop there again. DONT BRING KIDS HERE!

An EXCELLENT store positively MOUNDED with fun stuff to look at, buy or marvel over. I saw some seriously cool stuff in there! If only the staff werent such complete tools.I went in with two huge boxes of merchandise to sell or perhaps trade. The young man behind the counter was very polite and called the store owner (apparently he lives like a block away) to come have a look at everything since it was a rather large amount. I told him what I would like as far as trade value, and he offered me about a fourth of what I asked for. Not taking it personal, I smiled and told him I would look elsewhere.Dude went OFF on me, demanding what sort of profit margin I thought was fair for a store like his, did I understand how business were run (no I dont think you do!), and so on. I was so taken aback I didnt know what to say. Then he tried to convince me to leave the boxes and boxes of stuff Id brought for a mere $200. When I turned him down, he got aggressive and on his feet, trying to convince me what a bad decision it would be to sell any of it online (think of the shipping, the boxes, etc. eating into your profit!), how little I knew what I was doing and so on. The man was rude, crude, and ugly about the whole thing as I tried to hurriedly pack all my stuff back up into my boxes and not damage anything (mostly 20+ year old toys). As my wife and i were heading out the door we heard him say I really wish I coulda broken that guy! What a jerk!The store owner was aggressive, rude, and as it turns out, a bit of a scammer. Ive sold just ONE of the (dozen or so?) items I brought for him for over $200 since my visit. While I wouldnt expect him to pay 100% of the value price, I also wouldnt expect to be freaking ROBBED in the process. The sales person also bragged about how he bought out copies from the other local stores and would be increasing its price by 7 times the cover price! I have gone here several times and the last time I was in, will be my last time ever. I received very bad service from the old guy with the skullet haircut. Honestly hes a jerk. I went in to buy 1 comic and he was very rude and told me that me buying 1 comic ruins his stock for his regular customers. Sorry I only read 1 title at this time. He made me feel as though I was doing something wrong and continued to harass me about only buying 1 comic book. Told me I am wasting his time. He was so rude and such a jerk I wish I could give his store zero stars. I hope he loses all of his business. Just go to the other comic book store in Eagan, Minds Eye. Theyre very friendly and never complain if I only buy 1 title at a time.

I went into this store and was helped twice by a very friendly employee with blonde hair and glasses. The experience that ruined it for me was another employee with dark hair who was very rude to me in explaining all about how his business is run. He even went as far as to raise his voice to me in anger when I was trying to negotiate a trade-in. These people need to treat customers like they want them to come back and not like opponents. I will never return to this awfully run rathole of a business and will encourage anyone I can tell to stay away as well.

I love this place they can be a little pricey but I still love it there, I recommend coming here if you are a MEGA geek like me.
