Awful experience. Twice now in two years- I have scheduled appts with this location online. I received phone calls, email and text confirmation all before my appointment day arrived. I walked in and much to my surprise- they didn’t have me scheduled.. nothing in the system with my information on it. This happened to me both times I have made appointments here! I decided to give them another shot but see nothing has changed. I will never ever return to this location.
Came in to get my glasses fixed and the woman her name was Kate did a great job of trying to get them the best she could. Came the next day and had a appointment and Dr yang was excellent and very helpful. Asked the other young ladie Katie to fix my glasses and she had the almost back to normal. Over all a very great experience and will definitely be back again
I have been going to this Pearl Vision location for over 7 years for my eye exams and glasses! I always receive the best customer service. Staff is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly! Kathy is really great at helping me choose the best frames for my prescription and face! She also works hard to get me the best price using my insurance and Pearl Vision Promotions and coupons. And it’s easy to stop in and have my frames tightened as needed! It’s always a pleasure working with all the staff at this location!
Jordan and Kathy were great. The gentleman that works with them is very nice and really knows what he is doing overall. To be even better and to raise the stores overall rating if he could work on being a little more professional. He greeted us while multi-tasking and was asking us questions about our insurance without even looking up and from across the store. Hes really good at his job but treating customers like they are special guests instead of casual friends goes a long way. Overall we are happy with our service and will return, just wanted to give some feedback for improvement.
Have been going there for many years. Went for an eye exam, no change in prescription, went directly to the front where I reordered the exact same contact lenses I had last year. When I went in today to get them, I was told I owed 85 dollars for contact lens fitting. No such thing ever happened. I objected, and was told I could not have my contacts. When I said I PAID for those, I was told then I could not access my prescription...which my insurance had PAID for. Dr. Thomas Meyer was consulted by staff during this discussion, and was directing staff answers to me. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!
I have had them call and cancel my apts 2 times this week. The voicemail said one reason and the manager I spoke with said family emergency. I am not wasting anymore time on this place. Staff did not seem to care about anything either.
It appears I have experienced yet another one of the horrible customer service experiences at this location. I came back to this location as a one closer to me was booked out with appointments. The exam was fantastic, the optometrist very helpful. Alex was great in processing the multiple glasses orders, and advised a call back would happen when they arrived. 10 days later, no call back. I called to find out the glasses were in, hadn’t been sent to get lenses installed. The female on the phone said she’d have to check with Alex, but he is on vacation for over a week. The female on the phone said Pearle still needed payment —but I advised I paid in full when I left the day of my appointment. She said she would have to contact Alex, on vacation, to confirm that—even though I have receipts of payment. So there isn’t any idea of when the glasses would be sent for lenses, and no one working the finance side of things until Alex returns in a week or more.If you want to get your eyes checked here, it will be great. If you want to purchase glasses here, go somewhere else. The disgruntled employee who everyone has been dealing with in past reviews listed here is not worth time when you can get the same name-brand eyeglasses at other places with better customer service. Don’t buy glasses here until the owner figures out a coaching plan for the staff.
I made a last minute appointment at Pearle for an eye exam (since my regular optometrist was book through March) after I realized my prescription was expired and FSA was coming to an end of year close, so I needed new prescription and new frames. This location was clean, they had all the brand name frames I was looking for, and the staff was very friendly.Jordyn was great to work with while shopping for frames, she did a great job helping me decide what looked the best and gave some recommendations along the way. We even found something outside my normal comfort zone that I fell in awe with and I know Ill feel confident in while wearing.Dr. was also friendly but didnt really give much explanation to what my eyes showed and the prescription I was receiving. While I was wrapping up with him I felt rushed so didnt feel I couldve asked questions regarding his findings.Overall, my visit here was delightful and it was a good experience.
Great customer service. Addressed all concerns with vision issues.
I like Pearl Vision, but please just dont come to this one. The level of unprofessionalism is way too high. The way they behave is similar to how teenagers behave in a restraunt..which you dont want especially when youre taking care of something as important as your eyes. But even if you push the poor attitude and lack of professionalism aside, on top of that they dont know what theyre doing. There was 3 different times now I had to reschedule because of THEIR mess up. I made an appointment on Friday to come in today(Monday the 25th) only for them to text me an hour before the appointment to say they dont accept my insurance. I had 2 different people on Friday both tell me that they accepted it and on top of the I provided the insurance number and they even looked it up and said everything was set to go. Very disappointed with this location.
Pros: They have a good Value selection.Cons: The staff is terrible. They ruin your buying experience and offer no help, inexperienced, and know little about optometry. This is based on several visits. They offer incorrect information. Very unorganized. I was told by one person that I could not adjust my brand new glasses due to Covid, this made no sense. 1 day later, another person said of course I could.I was given a prescription in my frames that was totally incorrect, even blinding. During pick up Id told the employee Jordan multiple times that it was the incorrect prescription. She kept assuring me that they were correct, I maintained that they were not. I even asked her to look at them through their microscope and compare them to my current ones. She did ALL of this, and STILL claimed they were correct. She claimed that I needed to keep them on for at least a week so that my eyes could adjust to the new frames. This literally makes no sense. Then she said my brain is procession the message that I am wearing new glasses slow, so my eyes will adjust soon.I called in and spoke with her a day later, I told her Id been having headaches and could not see while driving and it had been 24hrs. She once again assured me that These are THE CORRECT PRESCRIPTION and if I wanted to exchange the script I would have to geta new eye exam, and have an updated prescription written by the doctor because she was positive it was my brains natural reaction.A couple weeks later, blinded, nauseous, headache ridden after weeks of not seeing, I returned. Thank goodness that same person was on break. They inspected the glasses after a long unnecessary wait. And discovered that ME, THE CLIENT, was 100% correct!Smh. Run run as fast as you can.Only go if you already have your rx and know exactly what you want!!
Wonderful and professional service and a great choice of frames.
They were very receptive to my needs and friendly.
Compared to Midway St Paul day & night difference in staff handling of clients Mid Way is tops a 10 /10 plus plus The Eagan Franchise was out of 10 theyre a 3 lack of enthusiasm The doctor is wonderful
They always have a different optometrist in the 4 times Ive been there, so I wont say anything seeing is how hell probably not be there the next time. (Great Optometrist though!)Anyways, they take waaaaaaaaay too long to get you your glasses. Im from another state, so when I go from same day glasses to hopefully the same month glasses, its bad. Id really hate to see how long it would take to get bifocals!!!
Absolutely loved everyone that was working today!!!! Dr. Krista Davis is the best eye doctor I have ever had! She acknowledges everything she is doing & why which is RARE! Her personality is update to date & not boring! When it came time to choosing glasses which is a pain to do. I was able to keep the glass I love. That lady who did the fitting for my glass was very profession & has great attention to detail. Loved my experience here & a bonus..... they all love cats ❤️ 🐾
Dr. Tom Meyer and his staff were wonderful. Had a great experience with my eye exam. Dr. Meyer put me at ease right away with his sense of humor and welcoming manner. He was patient with all my questions and gave me the time and education I needed to make the best glasses choice. The staff was also very friendly. I brought my glasses back for a different fitting and the staff was wonderful to work with. Again, everyone was patient, friendly and willing to help. Great experience. Highly recommend.
Very dissatisfied with this company..my appointment was June 18th..was quoted 7 to 10 days.. glasses never came in. I called July 6th and was told it will take longer because of covid 19 .. bogus !! I called today and the lab finally got the lens but wasnt right and now they have to send back and will take another week or so.. also they wanted to blame my insurance coverage that I have.. they should have called me and not me calling them...
I had spent almost $300 on my progressive bifocals. Two months or so later I misplaced them. Katie, the manager, was so helpful and ordered me a replacement set of glasses for a nominal fee. I even came back to have them adjusted and Katie was there again to assist me. I am very pleased with the service in this store.
Alex was a huge help getting all my insurance information straightened out. Great customer service.Edit.. i had to change this recommendation.I ordered my glasses and didnt hear anything for almost 10 business days and called only to find out they forgot to send my frames to the lab, bumping my order out another 7 to 10 business days.I likely wont be doing business here again.
I had a very positive experience with Kathy at the Eagan Pearle Vision. She was knowledgeable and personable and double-checked all my measurements before ordering my glasses. I highly recommend her and Pearle Vision.
I have been going to this establishment to purchase glasses since I moved to Minnesota. Over the years I have found the staff to be very helpful. However recently I have been disappointed with the service I have received. I have also noticed racial prejudice amongst some of the employees working there. In my most recent interaction, Melissa was the individual helping me. During my interaction with her, she barely looked at me, offered no advice as others typically have and was very short and unwelcoming. On top of that, my glasses were adjusted but not checked to see if they were too tight. Resulting in a terrible headache. Over the last few years I have been supporting this establishment, I have had top notch service. It is shameful that this is the level of service I now receive.I have stopped by the store 3 times over the last few days and have received very mixed interactions. One of the employees I met with Saturday (cannot remember his name) was very helpful. Adjusted my glasses, checked to see if it was too tight and offered advice about care. This is the level of service I expect from an establishment of this caliber.
If ordering glasses - ask for Kathy! This was my second time getting glasses and Kathy was so helpful. Kathy was knowledgeable, friendly and funny, A+ !
My brother and I went here in the late winter of 2019 when me and my brother moved to Eagan. We needed to get new glasses because have not gotten new glasses in like 4 years we had an eye exam there and the Doctor that checked our eyes was super nice I dont remember her name and the person there at the time was also very nice I also dont remember his name but we both have MA so there was not much to pick from in terms of frames so we each picked out what we wanted but we did not have much of a choice like I said so that went well. We got our new glasses about a little less then two weeks later the person that helped us before was there and he helped us with both of our new glasses so we went home and after a while my pair of glasses got loose on one side so I have some glasses screwdriver I tried to tighten the screw that was lose but it keep just spinning in place so I took them back and to see if they could fix them I went in there was some women working this time that I have not seen before and I ask them if they could fix it they took a look at them for not even 5 mins and said they cant fix them and the person said I should be more carefully in a very angry tone of voice I was not very happy that she told me to be more careful I have worn glasses all my life I have always been careful with my glasses I was so frustrated that she did not take her time to actually look in the problem. So fast forword today I went to Sams club to look at new glasses because I think we need to get some new glasses soon so I was talking to the guy working there and I asked if he could take a look at my glasses because they were still loose a year later and he did and he fixed them in under 10 mins no maybe even 5 and and he said the screw was the wrong size I never took the screw out when I got them so not sure if the manufacturer I got them from put in the wrong screw in or the people at the store needless to say I wont be shopping here anymore or if I do it will just be for an eye exam only I will go else where to get my glasses I dont like being told to be careful when I am already very careful. You might ask why I waited so long to see if my glasses could be fixed well the person working that day told me there were not fixable and I needed a new pair all together I know that was not true so I just lived with having loose glasses for a bit more then a year and with MA you can only get glasses once a year I think even if that.
Ive had a great time in the past, however in the most recent trip the 2 people I worked with, while polite, werent particularly friendly and I had to prompt both of them to help me. Didnt seem very motivated to help. The doctor however was very nice and professional.I got my glasses just fine but had to adjust them myself, which isnt how its supposed to be.Frame selection is decent here - though a bit expensive. Overall, Im meh about this place it seems hit or miss on customer service and skills of other staff.
Never a good experience, my final straw was going in to pick up contacts that I had already paid for and waiting 15 minutes while he answered several phone calls. Put them on hold for 2 minutes while you hand me my bag... Exams here are usually fine, but I will never spend another dollar for glasses or contacts here.
I was waiting for someone to show me some frames after I got done seeing the doctor. I waited for over 10 mins I saw him come out with someone else and asked for my RX to take somewhere else than the woman at one of the desk who didn’t have a customer said “ I’m sorry I didn’t know you was waiting “ I left after I told her it would have been nice if someone asked me if I needed any help to make matters worst this was my first time going to Pearle Vision and how m never going back.
Went there to adjust my glasses so I don’t have to go to the one in maplewood. When I called the person I got was nice but when I walked into the place it was very unwelcoming. Took a while for someone to look at me and greeted me and then when the rep was available she didn’t even bother to help me out but as soon as the optometrist came out she ran to him to help out. Poor service. Will never go there again. I wish I could give them a zero star.
I was completely stressing out because I lost a contact and I needed a replacement on memorial day weekend. The lady I worked with help to me right away without question and saved my weekend. Thank you so much I so appreciate it.
Due to the poor online reviews, I had significant hesitation making an appointment here. However, I made an appointment for an eye exam because the location was covered by insurance and its close to my house. I found the experience efficient and pleasant. Dr. Tyler was my optometrist and Blaine was my glasses assistant. My only dislike, which seems to be true with every ophthalmologic shop these days, is they expect you to buy glasses before you leave. However, purchasing glasses is not required and I left with only a prescription.
If I could I would give them less then one star. I say that because it’s been 3 going on 4 weeks since my appointment, and I have not received my glasses in any case. Nor have I heard any new information from them. Please don’t waste any time or money because it is badly organized, and it’s honestly not worth it.
The exam was quick, the doctor was knowledgeable, the wait was brief, and my optician Alex was awesome. What a great experience!
Very expensive and not worth the price of their frames. The doctor was nice enough, but the support staff was rather rude. I went back to the store to get a copy of my prescription several weeks later and received way too much attitude for such a request. I was also refused the complete details of my prescription.I asked for the pupillary distance and was told that while they used that information to make my glasses they will only give out that information for an additional $25.00. Thats not part of the prescription. But you used it to make my prescription prescription glasses? YesCrooks and cheaters: I paid dearly for my eye exam and should be given all the information.Do not go here. Find an independent shop to support.
Great Optometrist, But Intially Walking In For Apt. & Ordering Eye Glasses, VERY Poor Customer Service From Brittany..Harsh & Kathy Didnt Have A Warm Welcome Or Smile..Kudos To Thee Amazing Optometrist, Not The Staff!!
Rushed exam. No explanation or consultation about anything. I went to pick up my glasses and she handed them to me and sent on my way. No adjustments or questions answered. She was rude and couldnt be bothered. Horrible experience from begining to the end.
They totally screwed up my eye glasses order. They charged me twice and almost 3 times for ONE pair. The part that makes me mad is they said it would be taken care of right away. But it was NOT. 14 days later, they have it fixed...I think. Very disappointing. Sadly, I will not be going back to this location for my next pair of glasses.
Jennifer was really nice and Im totally impreased with her.
Do not see Dr. Tom Meyer! Very rude man. Was condescending when he spoke to me Thats what I just said, right? Would NOT listen to my problem with my eyes ! He brushed it off as if it was not really a concern when my eyes are in pain, he said they were healthy when they hurt while I drive. Definitely seeing a new doctor and getting a better opinion. At least someone who isnt so rude. Horrible experience and wont go to a Pearle Vision again because of it.
Alex the store manager a mazing when it comes to professionalism, knows his business in and out, excellent communicator and excellent customer service, low price, thanks to kathy for her service, follow up and her patience, thanks to doctor Krein for the right prescription, suppers happy,i will be back for more business, sincerely appreciated
Terrible service. I placed an order for glasses and contacts. I picked my glasses up two weeks later and inquired about the contacts. They told me they were shocked they were not in. I called back a week later to find out that the order was not even placed for my contacts until I had picked up my glasses. No apologies for the mistake. Horrible costumer service!
Fast and friendly service. Eye exam was quick but thorough.
This is the worst place on earth to get glasses. I think a free place would be better. The customer service sucked, also employees didn’t know what was going on. Took glasses forever to come, also they don’t have any knowledge about when glasses are coming. SMFH last time coming here👎🏾 Also one of the employees had to bring her kid to work because she had no sitter.
The first time I visited this place more than 3 years ago, they judged me harshly for only getting the free lenses my insurance granted me and did not want to let me walk out of there with my prescription in hand (Im sure they suspected I would buy other frames much cheaper online - they were right). The second time I went was a few months ago. The sales rep, I believe her name was Jamie? Was very polite and helpful. The doctor I saw for my exam was extremely rude (I should note: it was NOT Dr. Tom Meyer, but I dont actually know who it was). I went in specifically because I had noticed a change in my vision and knew I needed a new prescription because I was getting frequent headaches from having to squint to view things in the distance again that I could see before, and it had been 3 years since Id last visited. The doctor insisted I had 20/20 vision with my glasses on - sure, depending on how you quantify that I guess maybe I do, but the fact of the matter is there was a change that was negatively impacting my life. From then on forward he sounded like he didnt believe me as we went through the exam. I was asked to say when I couldnt read a specific line anymore. I would say I couldnt, and he would say Really? Not even a tiny bit. Are you sure? Its not just a little fuzzy? Wow. At the end he looked at his paperwork and said, I GUESS we could make a change... He was very condescending and impatient, and didnt seem like he enjoyed his job much. Lets be real, not many people do, but when youre dealing with customers health you might want to be a little nicer, jeez. I felt like I was being treated like a drug seeker - how is getting my eyes rechecked going to negatively impact my life? If you write me a new prescription, oh no, maybe my eyesight actually barely changed and I get new glasses, the horror! (Comparing my old prescription to my new however definitely shows a difference.)When I went to actually purchase the glasses, there was some confusion about the price, they spoke of a $75 fee and they werent sure why I needed to be charged it. They discovered it was for something specific that is apparently required with certain types of lenses, OR with the blue-light blocking coating. Jamie was polite about it, I wasnt arguing with it or anything, if I had to pay it I had to pay it, but I was assured it would be waived, quoted the final amount, and paid with my card. When I received the receipt, I saw the mysterious $75, which did not get waived and was included in the final total they quoted me. If youre going to promise to waive something for me when I didnt ask you to, at least follow through or tell me you cant? Sheesh. After insurance almost $400 for a pair of not even -2.00 single vision glasses is absolutely nuts. And on top of that, they were toted to be anti-glare, anti-reflective with the HD coating that helps with blue lights from computers, but when I got them all I could see was the reflection. Every picture of me wearing them since shows this basically neon blue reflection in them. The anti-glare glasses I get for $30 at Zenni or for $100 at Bonlook dont even have a glare in my photos, what gives? I went back to Pearle Vision to pick up my prescription so I could buy online and intended to ask them about the anti-glare but the people I spoke with werent in that day and I was in a hurry. I wont be going there again after that experience.First picture is my glasses from Pearle Vision. Anti-glare? HA. Second picture are all my glasses from Zenni, same house, same lights, same chair and desk Im sitting in (with an Instagram filter but those dont remove glare, so).
We cancelled our scheduled eye appointments after the very rude experience with the staff at check-in (she snapped her fingers in my wifes face to get her attention, among other things). Poor eyeglass selection, too. Heading back to the Woodbury location even though it is 20 minutes out of the way. UPDATE: We were also told our eye insurance was not current (just confirmed it is current), so our experience in line with the poor administration at this location.
I have never had good luck at any Pearl Vision so I didnt have my expectations set high when I walked in this location, but I didnt realize it would go so bad. The first time I was there I stopped in to see if I could get my pupillary distance measured since it wasnt on my prescription that I got from another Pearl Vision just a week before. The proximity to my workplace allows me to easily drop in to this location on my lunch break. I explained the situation to the man and he said no he could no measure my pupillary distance. I let him know that I have purchased contacts and prescription glasses and maybe he could just call over to the other store and get the PD from my last prescription or verify my story but he insisted he could not measure or get that information for me. I believe he was the manager of the store. Sad man...it would have taken about 2 minutes to measure it. My second time there was when I was getting my glasses adjusted. The woman who adjusted them melted the anti-reflective coating on my glasses. I put the glasses on and thought maybe they were just dirty so I had her clean them again. She said that they werent dirty and there was something wrong with the lens. I asked her what had happened to my lens during the fitting. She then explained that the coating had melted causing a crackled lens. She finally admitted she may have heated the glasses up too much which caused the cracking. She offered to replace the lens. So now Im wearing my old pair of glasses which is giving me a headache for the next 2 weeks until I get my current glasses back with the new lens. It is very alarming that she melted my glasses....was it her first day or something? Arent fittings pretty routine? My coworker said that the exact same thing happened to her several years back at this location. DONT GO HERE! THEY WILL MESS UP YOUR $HIT. My husband hasnt had any problems going there so thats why they get 2 stars instead of 1!
Seriously the worst customer service ever. If I could give this place zero stars I would.
Wow. First time using the Eagan location and will never go there again. Had an appointment for an eye exam and waited for almost 45 minutes until I was seen. Then ordered contacts (at least I thought) until I called in a week later wondering why they werent delivered yet to find out they were never even ordered. The guy was supposed to call me back to update me on what happened and never did....complete disaster.
This was one of the weirdest/worst experiences I have ever had. All of the employees were rude to each other and arguing which was super uncomfortable. The eye exam I could have done better myself. Paid for my contact exam, they called and said I didnt a few days later and wouldnt release my prescription.
Poor service. Was set appointment week ago-and came in expect to start well process. Their service real a waste of time wait 20 minute pass and staff as well doctor just stand round and do nothing. Staff also rude and unfriendly.
Sorry about the picture, the store is next door.
