My 15 year old opener breathed its last on Monday at 9:00. By 11:00 the same day, Al had installed a new opening system and I was no longer trapped in my home. Great service!

We needed some service for the garage door at our house. Since it had been previously serviced by Overhead Door of the the Northland by the previous owners, we thought wed give them a try. We were very satisfied with every aspect of the service. They showed up promptly, clearly explained what needed to be done and the cost of the different options, performed the service quickly and professionally. They even programmed the built in opener in one of our cars. We will use them again in the future and can highly recommend them to you.

Excellent, timely helpful service. We just moved into our house, and it turned out that nothing was broken on the garage door openers. Mike patiently and clearly explained the system and helped my husband set new security codes on the touchpad. So many headaches moving into a new house--but this turned out not to be one of them, thanks to Overhead.

After coming home from an appointment about 10:30 a.m., noticed the garage door wasnt closing properly. Immediately call Overhead Door Company, who we had serviced our door 10 years ago. The first contact was immediate and not menu driven--an actual human being. We were not put on hold, she got our information and told us that someone would be out by noon and Al (the serviceman) would call before he arrived. Al was at our home by 12:30 p.m. the same day. One cable was rusted and snapped. He replaced both cables and the door is working like new. Al was done by 12:40 p.m. Thank you Al for your speedy and efficient work. I highly recommend! My operator motor burned out, and I wanted the servicer to be prompt, knowledgeable and reliable. Al from Overhead Door Northland was all three. Al quickly diagnosed the situation and my current door operations. A VERY SATISFIED customer for over 10 years. Just had a repair done on our 16 door - a problem I caused myself! The coordinator was extremely courteous and helpful telling me a technician would be out as soon as possible. I was worried that I had ruined the door. We use Overhead Door Company of the Northland for all our garage door service issues. I called yesterday afternoon when one of our garage door springs broke and they were onsite first thing this morning. Not only did they repair the springs but the technician noticed a broken hinge and frayed cables so he also replaced those before they became a problem. Their service is fast, thorough, professional, and fairly priced. Overhead Door did the original installation of our garage doors and this is the second time in 17 years that we’ve had them out for service issues and we have been completely satisfied every time. I called for service because my garage door broke as it was going up and I wasnt able to close it. Al from Overhead Door came within an hour and fixed my garage door. He fixed the broken hinge, put in a new roller and added an additional hinge. He added screws to other hinges so same thing would not happen elsewhere. Good, prompt and friendly service. Have used in the past and will definitely use again (hopefully not too soon as repair is good for a year! )

We had a problem adding or new car to the overhead at our home so we needed to use the Key Pad on the exterior of the garage. I drove to the Overhead Door of the Northland office in Eagan and explained our problem. The Staff was helpful and informed me that our overhead door opener was probably at code capacity and that we need to erase al the codes and reenter them. They told me to call back if I continued to have problems, which I did. On this visit the Staff helped me make an appointment for Al to come out and assist me. A couple of days later when all arrived he quickly researched my problem and determined that my new car probably already had had opener codes installed from the factory or dealership. So he showed me how to erase the opener codes in my new cars system, and then he quickly had all of my garage door remotes and keypad operating. Thanks Al and the office staff for assisting me with a frustrating problem. Job Well done!

We had a broken coupling on our door so the motor couldn’t spin the shaft to open the door. The Liftmaster Sidewinder opener was very close fitted to the ceiling leaving very little room to remove the cover. Our tech, Al, first found a way to remove the cover and then found that one of the screws holding the coupling tight had broken. He was able to drill that out and inserted a bolt which he could tighten sufficiently. Now all works perfectly! Al also quickly adjusted some remotes. We called in the morning and Al came out a couple hours later which allowed us to use that 4-wheel drive vehicle over the Thanksgiving weekend with the impending snow storm. Great service, creative and determined problem solving. Highly recommend!

Just had one of best customer service experience from a technician named Mike!. My spring broke on my garage door and I called Overhead Door company. They had Mike come out the same day within a couple hours of my phone call. He was fast and did the repair perfectly. He brought a Human Factor that is rare these days. He spoke highly of the People who work at Overhead door company and how they care about their employees. Another rarity. Bravo to the owners! It starts from the top and it shows. Wow! I cant say strongly enough what a terrific customer service experience I had with Overhead Door! It began with the phone call, which a real, live person answered :) I spoke with someone in service in about five seconds, was arranging for a service call THE NEXT DAY, and by chance, they were able to send someone that same afternoon. The serviceperson, Chad, called and let me know he was on the way, showed up when he said he would, and finished the work in about half an hour. I dont know about you, but I cant remember the last time any work/service at my house went that smoothly. Highly recommended!

The website says they are open until 5, and it is 4:30 and nobody is answering their phone and there is no way to get in contact with anybody for help. I have never worked with them before, but it isn’t starting out very well.In addition, it has now been two days, they replied to this review asking me to call them back, when nobody called me back after I left a message. I had already decided to fix my garage door through another vendor.

Overhead door company was fantastic! My husband and I bought a house, and the garage door opener didnt work. It was branded Overhead, so we called them up and Al came out literally the next day. He said he had not seen a unit like ours in fifteen years, but a few short adjustments and he had it working perfectly. He also had two remote control units for this old type of opener, so not only is the door in perfect working order, we have remotes! I highly recommend working with Overhead Door!

We wanted custom trim on the door to match some of the details on our house. They were able to use a standard insulated steel door and attach trim to our design. In short, we got a custom looking door for a fraction of the cost. They were great to work with.

I was recommended by a friend to call these folks to repair my broken garage. Not sure if I can consider him a friend anymore! I was transferred 4 times over requesting an estimate to repair a broken garage door! One of the guys even laughed when he said Sorry I dont even know why I answered and transferred me again. Then one of the ladies had the nerve to get short with me over a repair request. These people need to get their ish together.
