We fell in love with a dining room table in their showroom that was too large for our space. We took their recommendation and ordered a smaller table, being told it was the same quality. When we received the table, it was horrible quality with a veneer top. So far, they have refused to allow a return of the table. We have purchased from this store on previous occasions but WILL NEVER purchase from them again.
My husband and I were pleased to find a furniture store in Dallas that caters to the modern furniture we wanted for our house. We are set up with Malia who was very sweet and knew exactly what we wanted to buy. We ended up buying 2 chairs, 8 dining room chairs and 2 couches with them. I will say everything arrived in time especially during COVID. We received all our furniture in August 2020.After we received our furniture we noticed that one of our dining room chairs was a little damaged. The sewing was unraveling. I immediately emailed Malia about this and she assured me that they would replace my chair. She also said it would take some time to get it here because of the pandemic. I was understanding of that as well. Well, one month passed, two months passed and I waited to hear back but nothing. I emailed Malia and she said the chair was in Austin. I was like great they will come soon. But, nope nothing came. Apparently there was some kind of hold. Again, I was understanding about that. So, I waited. We are now in Dec 2020. I emailed and called again this time asking to speak to the manager Her name is Sabrina. Well, she emailed me back that the because of the pandemic it would be Feb-March 2021 because there was some kind of hold up with the vendor. I was like okay, I will wait again. Fast forward to March 2021, after I heard nothing I called and left a message at the store Sabrina returned my call. She said that she would send over a medic out to come see my chair by the end of March. SO, that they can fix it. Malia ended up calling my husband (and yes we screened your call) they left a message saying if the medic came to fix it. Nope, no one showed up. I actually called out someone else at my own expense to get it fixed.Word of advice: Dont lie to your customers and always follow up. The amount of times I had to reach out to you all was absolutely absurd. Its surprising you all are still in business. I would not recommend them at all. At first, they are super nice and understanding but they will take your money and not deliver. If they couldnt get the chair they should have offered some kind of refund. Dont go here these people are scammers!
NEVER buy furniture from this business. They are eager to take your money, however, when damaged items are delivered to your home, they go MIA and tell lies. Sam, the owner, seems to go of the country quite often and she blames other employees for misinformation. I purchased a dining table and bed frame in March. Those items were delivered in June damaged (pedestal bases of dining table had significant cracks and bed frame doesnt accommodate my bed even though the owner assured me that it would and the feet on the frame were crooked). After many, many phone calls and lies, missing work for a delivery that didnt happen (they didnt even have the proper furniture to delivery) I finally have a completed dining table, however, the bed frame is still a problem. I am writing this review to save anyone listening some grief. Do NOT buy furniture from the Model Home Furnishings.
I just recently had a fantastic experience with the team at Model Home Furnishings.As soon as I entered the showroom I was greeted with a smile and a friendly demeanor. The team helped me realize the vision I was looking for in my home. The showroom was beautifully designed and I noticed immediately the attention to detail the team took in highlighting their pieces for each room. The decor was exactly what I was looking for in and not what I usually find in Texas.I felt that the team listened to my ideas and really assisted me with picking out the pieces I knew would really showcase the vision I wanted.The team made me feel like I was the only one in the showroom, even though they were extremely busy with other clients. I needed up making an appointment during the week so we could focus on my project. The one-on-one attention I received was so refreshing; I really felt like they were there for me and me alone.This is not a standard big box store. This team of experienced professionals will go above and beyond to bring your interior dream home vision to life. A few things were on backorder but defiantly worth the wait. But I can’t complain my closing date was pushed back nearly a month and they help all my furniture for me.5 out 5 stars for Model Home Furnishings - Frisco Texas.
While I havent purchased anything from here (yet). My wife and I really enjoyed the wide range of products that were offered. From what we could tell, the quality of the products (along with the decent prices) were very acceptable. While the ladies that were still busy, they made sure to acknowledge us and ask if they could help us with anything.
I initially thought this would be a great option to furnish my new home. I was moved into my house for over a month before everything was delivered, and I started the process months before closing. A couple of weeks after placing the order, I was told two pieces I wanted most were not available. You have to pay twice for shipping -- first to get it to TX and then to have it delivered. By the time you add their design fee and both delivery fees, the prices are not that great especially since you have to wait so long for items to arrive. The quality of the furniture was good but the overall experience was not.
So, I would like to first say that the customer service here is AMAZING! I basically got a free design consultation while planning my living space. I shopped here in Sept (and Oct) of last year and initially bought a couch and table. Unfortunately? They were so cute, I felt compelled to replace the rest of my great room furniture...which made my dining room look sad so I bought a sexy new dining set! I LOVE LOVE LOVE model home furnishings and will be a life long customer! :)
Fantastic service! Everyone is bright, cheerful and eager to help. The staff is made up of skilled designers that are able to accommodate a wide spectrum of tastes. I could not have asked for a better place to help set up my home.

They will fool you with the pricing ...customer service is awful. No one ever picks up the phone or answers emails. Not to mention, they offered delivery before I purchased a couch, only to tell me I was outside the delivery range, the week my non-refundable purchase was due to come in. I would expect poor customer service from a big retailer, but not a locally owned establishment whose reputation is based on a small/local customer base.
Prices are reasonable. Furniture trends are spot on. Frustrating they do not deliver locally. It was raining the day I went to pick up table. They did not attempt to cover box, hence it arrived drenched. Upon opening the table arrived damaged. The screws were also the wrong size. In addition, the table never sat level and have had a piece of cardboard under one of the legs to keep level. I contacted customer service whom promised me a replacement of which I would have to return the table at my own delivery cost and also deliver new table myself. Approximate delivery time another 4 weeks. Never heard back from them for another 2 and a half months. Left a voicemail that my table was in. After all the problems I had my handyman fix the table to the best of his ability, it was not worth it so I never called them back for a replacement. I guess I learned my lesson and you really do pay for what you get. Will not be returning again.
Warehouse setting with floor samples. Home furnishings ordered through catalogs which typically keeps prices reasonable because of lower overhead. Friendly atmosphere- not pushy at all.

It has been a rough 8 month working with this business. I had an in home consultation in Sept 2017, placed a large order with them in Oct after constant follow up on requesting design ideas. Some of the items were delivered in Nov/Dec, in small loads. Quality was extremely poor - had to replace 3 of 4 furniture items which did not get completely replaced till now. One of the replaced item was still defective (after 2 attempts to get it right). The number of calls, text messages and emails I have had to do is unreasonable. 2-3 weeks would go by before I would get any kind of response or communication from the designer or the owner. Even the delivery company felt bad for me because of the number of times they had to bring replacement items. If you dont follow up you are out of luck. Dont expect the company to initiate communication or resolution unless you make a stink about it. The savings is not that great either. The reason I am giving 2 stars and not 1, is because after it was all said and done, I have the items needed but the experience was too painful, stressful, exhausting and one of the worst ever. It made my experience of decorating my living room unpleasant and bad memory.
Great design staff, the showroom was stunningly placed together for the square footage. If they dont have your colors there are tons of sample colors on hand.. Waiting for my new dining room, sectional and will sure return!!Joseph

I have been a customer now for I think two or three years because Im redoing my entire house and had to do it slowly to stay on budget. But Im almost done and I cant believe how great it all looks. Their prices are amazing, the people were super helpful, and the store is very cool! I havent seen anything else like it! It was a bit off the beaten track but you cant go wrong with them. Im so glad I found it because this place is a hidden gem!

Complete crap for products.They are not even listed as a legitimate business & have no website. Would never buy anything there as theyre probably a fly-by-night place and will be gone in a heartbeat.
Only go here if you want to overpay for furniture. I bought a desk from here for $400 and a few weeks later found the same desk at Nebraska Furniture Mart for $220. Sadly they don’t do returns here so I’m stuck with my overpriced desk.
Owner is very rude and will not accept a return on a product they messed up on. They are willing to lose business over $200 worth of furniture?! Terrible customer service.

I was told this hidden jewel is the place the interior designers visit to get stuff to stage a model home (like the name suggests). I dont find the pricing particularly a steal but it is definitely worth checking out.
