Where to start!? Ive lived in big cities on the East Coast with old-school, highly rated butcher shops/delis and Porterhouse not only competes, but probably out classes most of them! Bought lunch a few weeks ago and Im still thinking about it. The meats and seafood are as amazing as they look, but the takeout food makes them the best lunch spot in town too.

Had a good California style tri tip sandwich here. The staff was friendly. Would come back again. #avocado

We just had a bunch of sandwiches from these guys and another local sandwich company. The amount of meat and flavor in the Porterhouse sandwiches was noted by everyone I talked to. I had an Italian Sub, which was incredible. I ordered some hot food and salads online before and they got everything right, will certainly go back. Good customer service and online capabilities.

When ever I come to Idaho I have to stop here for a sandwich, the Reuben sandwich is my favorite, we also buy a couple loaf of sour dough bread called Country Bread so good.They also have a incredible meat market.

Their BLTs are huge and very good! Also their baked beans - really good! But took off one star for this item... steer clear of the Albacore Tuna Salad from the deli; first of all they charge by weight and the taste of this salad wasnt very good; its lacking something - would not buy this again, esp for the cost of the smallest size which was almost $9! They do have more deli salads to choose from - will try something else next visit.

Went there for lunch and had a Reuben sandwich with chips and a Dr. Pepper. O liked the sandwich. There is limited seating inside and outside. I will go back to get some meat from their butcher shop.

Highest quality with price tag to match but cant pass up their meat counter for party purposes. Excellent.

Superior meats. Excellent pre-marinated cuts and a fine little deli to explore. They bring in the really good stuff from the best local sources for meats and baked goods. Porterhouse also has a small, yet decent wine selection. A little pricey but the quality is undeniable.Treat yourself.

There is a sign in the window that says Worlds best sandwiches. They dont disappoint. Amazing sandwiches with lots of meat and other toppings.

This place never fails. We order lunch for office about twice a month and the order is always on time and they have never messed it up! we often stop after work as well. The staff is amazing! Its nice to go to a local business that still cares about customer service and has quality food that is always on point. I highly recommend the Reuben but 2nd it with the BLT, but the soups are great as well.

Absolutely awesome!I would say that Porterhouse is the best sandwich shop in the Boise area. I love trying rueben sandwiches when I go to a sandwich shop and I can not recommend their Rueben highly enough. I get it every time I go.They also have locally sourced meats, sausages and various other products.The staff is also great. Helpful and always cheerful.If I’m going to smoke ribs, I get them here.If I’m going to grill some excellent steaks for date night, I get them here.If I’m going to get sandwiches to take somewhere, I get them here.You get the idea. Porterhouse is awesome.

Walked in, super friendly staff, got the perfect sandwich (BLT), and they had it ready for me in less than 5 minutes. Tastiest sandwich Ive ever had, and thats not an exaggeration!!! Definitely coming back here, glad I stopped by. High quality. 😎👍

Ill have to say they have excellent meat and if there is something you need special sliced like a tri tip in sheets for special recipe they accommodate. Lydia is so far done this with absolute perfection. Meat is top notch and I will always call her for my needs.

We found this place because I have a really restrictive diet and one of the hard to find foods was Chilian Sea Bass. They have it and so much more. Other seafood, house made corned beef, dips and sauces. We havent tried the deli yet but I know it will be fantastic because everything that they sell is of such high quality. A little bit pricey but worth it!

Food was a sandwich with some potato salad. Gobbler sandwich, turkey with cranberry sauce. Delicious. Potato salad was very tasty. Split with my wife, just right.

Porterhouse is the best!!! Our favorite place to get lunch and we buy all our meat, wine, etc here. The staff is phenomenal along with everything we have tried there. My husband just had the Kansas city brisket sandwich. Best sandwich and the Bbq beans are incredible. Best place ever!!!

Anytime I see a Reuben sandwich I have to try it. Its safe to say Ive have a few good ones and a few okay ones. Now I can also say Ive had THE BEST one! Their deli case salads rival ATavola which is a great compliment. I look forward to trying their other options! 😍

In the midst of a global pandemic, there wasn’t a mask on ANYONES face in this food preparation establishment. I walked in to see someone’s sandwich being made by a person who had their mask down under her chin, who then passed the sandwich down to another employee without a mask on all together in a place that was already crowded with customers. I immediately turned around and walked out. It’s sad to see a place especially is such a progressive district making such poor selfish decisions. Very unfortunate.

We DO love Porterhouse, and we have put that on social media before, but walked in last Thursday afternoon to get some steaks and not one of the staff was wearing a mask. Youre a restaurant and a food market, our area is in a pandemic that is exploding. Sorry, gotta go elsewhere for now......

OH My Heck. These guys do it rite! Ive been working next door decited to check it out ordered a bacon burger this burger was sooooooo sweet I thought I was the only one to make a meatloaf buger the peeps here blew mine away! Great job and I rate this place a MUST VISIT

Fantastic food!! They have the BEST selection of Snake River meats and homemade jerky,they also offer fresh baked breads and cookies. The housemade salads and sandwiches make it totally worth the drive from wherever you are in the treasure valley. What a gem!

This place is pure quality, with a wonderful staff. The Kobe hamburger is from Heaven, and surprisingly reasonable, as are the Ribeye steaks, were so lucky to have this little boutique butcher shop in our community.

I was welcomed very mildly by a lady behind the counter who was far from friendly. Absolutely delicious. The service is top-notch and their food is always fresh. You can;t go wrong ordering anything on their lunch menu (especially the berry or spa salad). Their portions are HUGE and their wine selection is second to none. They are my go-to lunch spot 2-3 days per week.

I go here for lunches, about 1-2x per month. Their sandwiches are amazing. The Grinder is by far the best. Reuben is amazing. They have great deli salads as well.

Not my favorite for takeout. Good flavors but by the time I got my sandwich home (five minutes away) it was incredibly soggy. I think it would have been much better to eat there.

Excellent service, hot sandwiches were all available until closing (5pm) vegetarian choices available as well.The deli section is amazing as well, lots of meat to choose from. They even offer tips on what you plan to BBQ or grill. Also a small craft beer selection available.

Not impressed at all. Sandwich bar was closed so I ordered a burrito. It was reheated in the microwave, cost 8 bucks, and nasty. Some sort of cream of chicken and old cheese on top. Im amazed they can sell this and call it food. Could have had better at taco bell.
