Great place. This is owned by a great gal. She has owned it for over 15 years. She loves coffee and loves baking. It shows in her offerings. The granola is homemade. Highly recommend you try it. It comes with yogurt and banana if you want. I was taking it home so I got just the granola. Saving it for tomorrow.
We go to Perks about four times a week, and have for a couple of years now. We love it!!! This family run business is amazing. We not only adore everyone that works there, but the food and home baked goods are to die for... With the new and amazing remodel there is plenty of room if you want to find a quiet spot, or a great place for friends to gather. Thanks Perks for always making my day!!!!
Husband and I came in to this coffee shop to kill some time and we really enjoyed our visit. The barista was extremely nice, and gave us good recommendations as this was our first time. Coffee hit the spot and the sausage burritos with their homemade salsa did as well!! We highly recommend this place for a nice visit with a friend or to sit and read as they have a wonderful atmosphere and great coffee!!

My favorite is the veggie quiche with homemade salsa😋! The staff is friendly and when I visit I feel like family. Seriously, comfy and homey feel, and you should check out their menu! Seriously - avoid the Star$$$ on the main corner of Highway44 and Edgewater and turn the other direction (down Edgewater) to hit this place instead! The coffee is excellent - latte doesnt need flavorings, baristas can do artwork, I could go on and on. BUT what you do NOT want to miss are all the fresh pastry goodies that are made GLUTEN FREE! I cant recall any other coffee shop with the variety and yumminess of g-free goodies that Perks has - some of them are so good they only make them gluten free and dont even offer a normal kind (Im looking at you Carrot Cake Muffin). Dont let the gluten-free label scare you away from the huckleberry scone, and my family all agreed even the lemon poppyseed muffin was best g-free! Even if you make a massive detour to come visit, your tummy will thank you.
Perks always does a great job with our offices text orders of 12-15 drinks/muffins. Done this several times and they are always good drinks, tasty treats and good service.

Fantastic casual Cafe! Good amount of seating inside and outside on the patio. Coffee is good and do yourself a favor and get the quiche, its unbelievable! The Chile relleno quiche is beyond!!!
Hands down the best coffee place in the Teasure Valley. They home make everything from scratch! You can feel the love in the drinks and the food. They have vegetarian and vegan options! As well as gluten free. They can make anything for you and are so friendly and caring. They always offer fun things like home made pies to purchase at Thanksgiving and yummy home made Valentines cookies. There is such a home like feeling inside. I watched as they poured home made chocolate into my mocha and my mouth was watering! Yuuuummm! Visit them right now! You will be sad you waited so long.

Been a few times now, good food, coffee and atmosphere. A bit chilly on the A/C with fall here and music can be turned up a notch. With accoustics, hearing others conversations. But comfy seating, inside or out. Nice staff. Ill be back.
Service is friendly, they serve great coffee (try the Mexican Mocha), they make sure a childrens hot cocoa is just the right temp and their muffins are yummy. It is also a very nice, comfy, cozy spot to relax and chat. Great for an after hike warm up coffee. I like and appreciate the childrens book selection too.

One of the best quiches I have ever had; it was absolutely perfect! The cappuccino was excellent as well. I search far and wide for a great cappuccino that is perfectly balanced and not over-roasted as is the norm in many places in the US. This cappuccino was excellently made!
Terrible coffee. Coffee was barely warm and they ran out of dark roast plus cream. No smiles, no greeting, no decently priced pastries available. Who’s giving these glowing reviews??
We come to visit from out of town and anywhere we stay in the valley, we make special trips to come grab coffee. Quiche here is amazing too!

Both the food and drinks are top shelf. Excellent selections of coffee, tea, beer, and wine. There are delicious sandwiches, scones, and muffins. The shelf of board games is a nice touch if you want to come in and sit down with someone while you enjoy a delicious Hot Fire mocha with cayenne or a house made cold brew. If youre in Eagle and want a coffee I cant recommend this place enough.
Provides an actual variety of coffee roasts and espresso drinks made fresh. Their baked goods are all made either in house or at a local bakery: in other words, its all made fresh daily, and it shows. Even better, they have a mix of traditional and crustless quiche, all delicious. The people making everything are every bit as sweet and wholesome at the goods they bake. A true Idaho gem.

Always a great experience when I stop by here! Usually go with tea and scone or other pastry and its always perfect! Tried a sandwich with salad today and couldnt have been happier that I did! QUALITY ingredients and plenty of them! (nice sized sandy and salad!) An awesome hole in the wall place with really friendly people that work here.....highly recommend!

As a former Seattle coffee snob, Ive tried most of the coffee shops in the greater Boise and Meridian areas trying to find that perfect espresso. There are only a few places that make a cup worth drinking, and Perks of Life is among them. They use excellent quality ingredients and will pull a second shot of espresso if the first one doesnt meet their expectations, all before you even receive your drink. They are fast, but not rushed and dont overheat their coffee - meaning you get a nice smooth drink full of wonderful texture rather than a over-foamed or under-textured burnt drink.And once youve stopped by a few times, theyll remember your order. Excellent service.

One of my favorite coffee places in Boise area! Locally owned. Baristas are skilled and knowledgeable. They also serve excellent gluten free homemade pastries, which are hard to find in other coffee shops. Excellent quiche as well, and tasty lunch items that vary day to day.

Fresh made almond milk is the perfect compliment to the well drawn espresso for a satisfying latte. The muffins are all delicious as well. If youre in the mood for lunch, try a sandwich, they are scrumptious.
This place really is a gem in our city of Eagle. Great coffee and treats go without saying but they really do a fabulous casual lunch. The soups are made from scratch (as is most everything there!), and they have sandwich choices elevated well beyond turkey on rye (Try ham and brie with jalapeno and seasonal jam grilled as a panini! They also have nice beer and wine selection at very reasonable prices. These are the kinds of businesses that we need to support! Think of them next time you want a delish coffee, dessert, lunch, or an after-work drink!

Best place in the area for coffee, desserts, pastry and baked goodies! Great variety of gluten free options. They have lots of games for kids, as well as coloring books. Great art on the walls, very inviting atmosphere and very friendly people running it.

Stopped here because I was dying for some coffee. Pretty good coffee, wasnt overly impressed. Asked a few questions, because every coffee shop is different, and the guy helping me didnt really seem to want to help me. I would suggest the shop itself though.
I ordered hot chocolate with peppermint flavor and yum. Then got crustless gluten free quiche. Its so yummy!

Gosh, I love this place. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. They have fresh and delicious food, amazing coffee, and the friendliest staff (but not obnoxiously friendly like that one drive thru chain). Unfortunately, due to my youngest having severe dairy and egg allergies, we can no longer indulge in their scrumptious pastries, savory breakfast burritos (by the way, their salsa is LEGIT), or delicious quiche, but we CAN enjoy their delectable coffee with almond or coconut milk. If you frequently drive by this place but havent made it in yet, do it. You wont regret it. Plus, there is a cute little chalkboard table to keep your littles busy while you enjoy your coffee. #supportlocal
