DO NOT SHOP HERE!!They will lie to make a sale. Their website states they take returns within 10 days but they apparently don’t. When I went back to return something an older gentleman had no idea what I was talking about. (I went back to return the item they lied about). I even reached out via email and never heard back. Honestly, I should have read all the reviews. If you notice when a customer write’s something the owner doesn’t like, he attacks them verbally. A REAL BUSINESSMAN wouldn’t attack his customers, he would try to resolve the problem. This tactic shows his true ignorance. Save yourself and find another store to support with your business. Now lets hear from the deplorable ken…..
I’m so happy that I came in today there were a few groups of people inside the shop when I arrived, but we were greeted as soon as we walked in. Everyone that works there is polite, knowledgeable, and helpful. They did not rush me and took the time to answer all my questions since this was my first time buying a gun. Went to other places and felt talked down too and they couldn’t be bothered, but not here! They even referred me to someone that will take me to a range and help me feel 100% comfortable with my new purchase and gave a reference for someone that handles FFL transfers for another gun I’m interested in. I’m so happy with my purchase and that I found these guys! Thank you for all your help and patience!
Best place around use help for direct link to website. 👍Thanks
They have a sign out front stating that they buy guns. Even with extremely limited inventory in their cases, they werent interested in what I was hoping to sell them. No worries... three days later I found a private buyer and called them to inquire about their transfer fees. They dont do transfers... at all. You also cant buy ammo unless youre buying a gun but they have almost no guns to buy so how theyre doing business at all is a mystery to me. Maybe theyre selling a whole bunch of the rusty buy-back .22 rifles that they have in a 55gal drum in the middle of the showroom. Theyre rude over the phone and their sales associates are cliquey. Stick to Steves Tactical, Fat Cat Sports, or Gartman Arms.
I been stopping in this shop every couple of months since it opened. Ed, the owner is friendly, has extensive knowledge, and a welcoming personality. They are busy on many occasions but any employee took a minute to take care of me. Its a great shop.
Walked in and the guy at the counter decided they were closed, no indication of that being the case until I walked in.Edit: There were people walking in and out of the store, sorry I didn’t scan your door the way in. Your hours posted online, on the door, and the fact that you answered the phone with no indication of being closed paint a different picture.
Literally the worst customer service. My Fiance, myself, and father came in and had ZERO acknowledgement of being there. It was like we didnt exist. Took close to 10 min for someone to even talk with us. My Fiance was looking for a pocket pistol, something light for small hands and it was a .38. The gentleman finally ended up showing her it, knowing it would be her first gun. A snub nose .38 great choice for a first timer, with little experience. We talked her out of it, while the gentleman was showing screenshots of all the people who wanted it to get her to buy it. Business is business but if you want to run a business on trying to rob a woman of her money being a new gun owner go here. Didnt help the guy was talking to one of the regulars and didnt give us the time or day when he saw she wasnt posistive on a quick sale. Very cliquey if you want a good place go elsewhere.
Went there today, walked in, greeted the gentleman behind the counter. No response, nobody in the store. I made my way to the ammunition and he finnally speaks “ that sign is pretty important above you. “ I step back and see the small 8x11” paper saying “watch your step” “ if needing ammunition contact the person behind the desk”I said im sorry as I was paying attention to change in floor levels not the tiny sign. I asked for certain ammunition- he replied “ I got nothin for ya “ without making an effort to pick his head up from his crossword puzzle. As he continued to do paperwork and ignore me, he decided for me that he didnt need my business. I gave him a holiday greeting and exited.Go here if you want to be talked to like a child, surely his attitude reflects his business model.
I’m all for supporting small gun shops but these guys refused to sell myself and another customer ammo because they were “saving” it for customers who buy guns. Do yourself a favor and just go to outback arms or the gunrunner. Much better service and you’re actually able to buy the ammo on the shelves
The staff and owner here are extremely knowledgeable about the products they sell. What really sets them apart from the competition is they care about the person as much as they care about the product. I witnessed the owner set aside to make sure a customer buying his first firearm had everything he needed, and he was comfortable before leaving the store. This is something not too many business owners would do for their customers. I highly recommend this business for all your firearm and shooting needs.
Shoots straight, love my weapon. Customer service is excellent. Strong, professional personnel working there. Helped me tremendously with choice of weapons and picked out my practice rounds and set me up with rounds while carrying. Can’t say enough, just a very friendly atmosphere. Thanks all
Guy who owns the shop is a D bag every time I walk in the place.
Oh ! this is tough one.
On Target Training is a great store for all of your firearm needs. The owner and staff have extensive knowlwdge of firearms and related equipment. Very friendly and eager to answer any question. I highly recommend this store.
Honestly I had the best experience purchasing my first pistol at here.. they are very stand up people and was great help to my brother that had lost a hand in a accident...I will be there for every purchase I make..
Rude over the phone. Not helpful.
The best store around for firearms and gear, knowledgeable and friendly staff that are there for you if you have questions. My new favorite store hands down.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Clean and organized environment. Helpful and professional experience time after time. I send all my friends and family here. Whether you’re a navy seal or learning the ropes of firearm ownership and operation, On Target Training has what you need.
Great little shop. Decent prices. Easy going gents with no pretentions. The kind of shop you walk into and dont feel ackward for browsing or asking questions.
All of the employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. They are patient and work with you to make sure you are walking out with exactly what you need.
Ordered online. Quick arrival and a easy pick up.Will buy from them again.
Ive now bought multiple items here. Great spot. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Purchased a used hand gun that ended up not working properly.Store owner tried to repair but it wasn’t to his satisfaction. He gave me the option of my money back or store credit.I was very satisfied with the outcome.
Got my license there and good gun SELECTION.
The only place around that my wife and I will bring our business to. From staff to prices the whole experience was great.
Great experience, nice knowledgeable staff. In and out, well informed on my firearm purchase. Would, and have reccomended them to anyone
Terrible. Don’t waist your time like I did.I found a gun I like on their website, which says it is “in stock”, and also another gun I am interested in that was “low inventory”. I live 40 minutes away, so I called ahead a few days before. “Oh yeah, guns, they’re in stock”.After arriving, and being asked six times if I was their to take a gun saftey course, which 20 people were standing in their cramped store waiting for, someone came over to help me with purchasing. I told the staff member about the gun I was looking for. He came to the conclusion that neither gun was in store, but “was in stock because you can order it” I said why would I need to order it if it’s in stock, and why would I come here if I have to order it? He gladly reassured me I could order it if it was Massachusetts legal. No need to look at any guns there- limited inventory, staff not interested in showing me any guns that were similar, but was asked one more time if I wanted to take the safety course before I drove the 40 minutes home.Waist.of.time.
Great friendly staff. And decent prices
Great place has everything you should need been going hear for 5 years
The best place in Massachusetts for all your firearms needs. Everyone there is very helpful and knowledgeable with no sales pressure.J. McGrath
Great service. Very knowledgeable. Helped me pick the perfect gun
Great store for all your firearm needs, including guns, ammo, and tons of accessories. Very knowledgeable staff and they offer fun safety courses almost every weekend!
Ive had a great experience with Ed the owner of this store. Ive bought 2 firearms for this store and know that the price i paid for these guns was more than fair. Ive also had him do some work on one of my guns that wasnt bought there and he treated me very fairly.
I Love On Target Training Ed is the best hes very kind and understanding about every question you may have

The best place around, great staff great prices, good environment
The best shop in the south shore 100%!
If you want to be given wrong information and treated like and idiot than this is the place to go. The owner has no clue what hes talking about when it comes to gun laws and everything in the store is over priced
Ed is very helpful and his prices are very fair. I enjoy going to On Target Training in East Bridgewater.
Yikes
Great place for knowledge and wait times are incredible.
After quite some time, Ive decided to write a review because Im compelled to let everyone know my experience at On Target Training. After much research I settled On Target Training to take my gun safety class to obtain my LTC. The trainer, Ed, seemed like a respected and experienced person in the field of firearms. I opted for the live fire class at the Braintree Rifle and Pistol club. The class was informative and Ed did a good job of teaching the curriculum and explaining everything. After receiving my permit I returned to On Target to purchase my first firearm. Again, I exhaustively researched my options and coincidentally Ed had sent out a email newsletter, which I had subscribed to, announcing a sale on the firearm I was planning on purchasing. I immediately called him up and asked if I could place a deposit on it until I was able to pick it up. I was in the middle of a move and had not been able to pick up the gun for two weeks, when I got a call from Ed saying that if I didnt pay off the balance or pick it up by the weekend he would sell it to someone else. Not wanting to lose out on the opportunity, since the gun was back ordered for about 2 months, I gave him the balance over the phone. That weekend I took the hour drive to the shop to pick up my new gun. As I stood at the counter with Ed waiting for him to complete the transaction, another customer approached and asked me what I bought. I told him the model and he replied Very nice! We finished everything up, I signed the paperwork and was on my way. I went out to my car opened to box to admire my new hardware and to my shock it was a completely different model than I originally ordered.. so I closed the box and walked back in. I explained to Ed that this wasnt what I asked for. He proceeded to tell me thats exactly what I asked for in the email I had sent him. The truth was that I had never had any email communication with him about this deal.. ever, yet he insisted I did. When I asked him to show me the emails, he couldnt produce them. He carried on by saying, Just taking it out and pull the trigger, you have fun with it! And if you dont like it, youll easily get your money back when you sell it.I can say now that was all a hoax just to get me out of the store. Ive recently sold the gun and in fact lost money on the deal. Incidentally, I fell for the old bait and switch. I firearm I had on hold was likely sold and what I was given was put in its place. Ed had the opportunity to correct me when I told that customer what I thought I was buying, but he instead took my money and ran. With the questionable integrity and business practices of a place like that I will never return, and also make it a point to discourage anyone else from doing business there as well.I realize that my experience may not be typical, but it happened none the less.
I was highly looking forward to coming back here to purchase a pinky extension for my Glock 29. I had stopped in there last week just by chance on my way home from another place. Im not sure if its the owner or just a worker there but the topic of Glocks came up which as we all know is a touchy subject in the state. He proceeded to tell me that it is illegal for me to own or possess a Glock. At first I thought he was just goofing around I then said I know its technically illegal for you to sell me a Glock if its past 98. But it is 100% legal for me to own and possess a Glock. Before the conversation got worse I decided to leave without purchasing what I came there to buy and just said that I find it very sad and disappointing that an owner (not sure if he is the owner) of a store doesnt know the law. I was so pissed off that I actually had to call a few friends and family members as well as some Law Enforcement friends to make sure that I wasnt crazy and that nothing had changed. But the simple fact this man basically said I was a criminal and it is illegal for me to have a Glock on me. Why should I spend my money on a place that doesnt even know the law and his passing off bad information to other Law abiding gun owners?
Helpful staff, great location.
Very knowledgeable very friendly
Dont go here if youre looking to wheel and deal. Gave the guy something for free and he didnt seem too Appreciative nor did they want to recripicate or strike up a deal. Left a funny tasete to say the least!
