FIVE STARS FOR Shane he is an awesome audiologist. He truly cares about his patients. But as for Miracle ~ Ear they receive a BIG FU. Miracle ~ Ear model is to continue to upgrade your hearing aids every five years at $5,000 to 8,000 they should be a shame of themselves. If the hearing aids are not broken. Why try to up sell a product I guess we need to send their kids to college. Another thing if 95% of insurance companies dont pay into hearings aids. Why take the PATIENTS damn information! ITS A FREAKING JOKE.At a point your hearing wont improve. So why try to take advantage of someones vulnerabilities. Back in the day items were built to last. These everything is disposable. If I purchased an $7,000 hearing aids you will continue to service them.
I first want to say that I hate complaining but this has been nothing short of a horrible and frustrating experience as well as dealing with the worst customer service/care. We have only dealt with the East Brunswick store. I am only about to write this long complaint because the East Brunswick store WILL NOT STOP calling 5 months later after I called and had them to stop calling. My husband and I went in for an appointment for him back in late February/early March after he already saw an ENT and got a cat scan. We met with Shane for over an hour. It was determined before this visit and after that my husband only really needed one hearing aid for his left ear (he is 48 years old). I explained how my insurance worked and how they basically reimburse me for the full amount (I have very good insurance with my job) and Shane said that someone in the office would get back to us. Several weeks passed and I finally called the office. I was told that the person who handles insurance would get back to me. After another week or two I called back again and spoke with the woman who handles insurance and pricing and she said oh I will get back to you. (She obviously never took care of this.) SHe called me back and talked about how we had a $10,000 deductable that had to be met..blah blah blah. I know exactly how insurance works with hearing aids and my company because I deal directly with people everyday in my job that go thru the same thing. I explained to her that this was not correct and she said ok I will look into it even more. A few weeks later I called back and spoke to someone else who said that my husband had to go see another doctor and how he had blockage in his right ear (ALL THE WRONG INFO) and I explained that they must be looking at someone elses file, they basically disregarded the hour and a half we spent with Shane. After another month and several calls and no calls back I was fed up and we decided to go somewhere else. I TRUELY FEEL THAT MIRACLE EAR EAST BRUNSWICK LOOKS AT PEOPLE WITH NO INSUREANCE WHO CAN PAY FULL PRICE AND TAKE ADAVANTAGE!! Now months later, my husband gets calls still and voicemails from East Brunswick (even after I called the call center and had his phone number flagged). I am sooo incredibly disappointed with East Brunswick. I called back today AGAIN after my husband received another call today and could not get thru to the East Brunswick store. I talked to the call center again and they could not understand why my husband was still receiving calls because his file was flagged. She put me on hold while she tried contacting the store but also could not get thru. My father and gran father have had nothing but great experiences with the people at Monroe, but that just goes to show how different franchises can be.
Was very impressed with Audiologist Shane. Made me completely understand my new hearing aids. His friendly manner and enthusiasm for his job made me feel that he was very capable of giving me the most help that I needed in this hearing aid journey. Lauren the receptionist also made me feel comfortable and she was always very helpful. I highly recommend the East Brunswick Miracle Ear location.
They are very insightful and professional
