I bought a used tow dolly and I needed the electric brakes looked at. No one would touch the dolly. By chance I passed DMR and gave them a call. They replaced the brakes almost immediately because I was leaving for Florida.They picked up the dolly and replaced the brakes. The experience was very positive. DMR is very easy to do business with, they listen and are very accommodative. Their work is excellent and they have fair prices. I would do business with them again. I trust them.

Took my Jeep tire there to be mounted. The owner gave me a price on a set of tires for my Tacoma. It was a good price so I told him I would be back in two months. I called several times and left messages with no return call. I stopped by three times to only find one guy in the garage hiding behind his tool boxes when I found the office empty for a third time. I dont think this guy wants to be in business and knows nothing about customer service. He wont return phone calls and always away on personal business.

Dan and team at DMR did an amazing job fixing my EGR valve which ultimately resolvee the check engine problem I had been having on my Wrangler for years. They also supplied me with a set of their recommended tires and replaced my brake pads and rotors. They did a fabulous job getting my Wrangler primed for my long work commute. I cant recommend them enough!

Dan and his team are second to none, highly attentive and their work is great. I’d highly recommend to anyone in need of automotive work.

Unless your doing a very simple modification or routine maintenance, look elsewhere and dont go to DMR - aka DMR Automotive & Performance! I had used DMR for a Jeep JK LS engine swap that took place for almost 2.5 years and never was completed due to they couldnt get it running right. I had to pull the cord and take my Jeep elsewhere to complete it. Granted the swap was very challenging with the Motech swap kit from Motech out of Las Vegas, NV, Motech support was also less than desirable, Motech parts had a few issues, and Motech provided no instructions. However, that all said, it still shouldnt take 2.5 years for DMR to realize they were in way over their head with the project and should cut the owner of the Jeep and the project loose. While at it, throw in some money back after the owner of the Jeep already paid you ¾ of the labor as originally quoted, yet the owner still had to pay another shop to basically redo the swap since there was too much done wrong and a fair amount of exterior and interior parts still needed to be reinstalled. Engine placement was not quite right which led to the new drive shafts having to be redone at the mfg since they were now too long; exhaust had seal issues at the connection to the headers and it was not emissions compliant missing a 2nd cat; wires and hoses rubbing in places they shouldnt have been routed or placed. DMR, the owner, does not manage big projects well or prioritize them as they should be prioritized. In fact my Jeep actually sat 3 months in his lot from the date I dropped it off before they even started the swap. It seems DMR takes on way more than they can handle. Works on all the small stuff that comes in his shop while your major project sits. Owner lies to you about them working on your project when they arent. DMR promises you that your project will be in the shop soon to get the work continued but it takes weeks to happen. DMR tells you there are parts on order that didnt come with the swap kit that you happily pay for in advance that take forever to come in their shop which holds up your project from continuing. DMR doesnt answer your phone calls on purpose to avoid talking to you for a status, which forces you to have to resort to burner apps to call with random numbers so the owner will answer. Email is no different as it takes numerous emails to DMR to get a reply. In the end Ive spent way more money than I should have on the swap and should have just shipped it out west to get the work done timely and done right. Once again, if you got big projects or an LS swap, look elsewhere!!!

My experience was very bad. Took 6 months for them to work on my Jeep. Installed gears improperly. Parts fell off after one month. Even after returning Jeep and explaining the loud noise coming from rear end((gears)) Jeep was returned to me with same issue. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DMR. Cost me another $4,000 to get everything right at another CT Jeep shop. Stay away from this business.

Dan and DMR Automotive did a great job on my truck! A different shop recommended replacing a part which Dan informed me had nothing to do with the issue I was having. He thoroughly explained everything over the phone and kept me up to date when the truck would be completed. Reasonable and honest work! Thanks again!!

Very unprofessional after about 2 months they still didn’t access my truck, or even bother brining it in their shop to start taking apart and figuring out what exactly was wrong with it. Then after about 2 months of waiting for it to get fixed my best bet was to bring it somewhere else. These people are very unprofessional and i do no recommend them at all unless you wanna sit around getting the runaround.

Wasnt good with communication and time - 2 1/2 months and never completed the job.

Also the prices here beat every other shop in East Hampton! Definitely recommend this shop to anyone who needs to fix their car or just do the basic preventative maintenance like an oil change and brakes.

Ive dealt with Dan for years when it comes to my Jeep and Ive never been disappointed. Hes gone well beyond the extra mile to provide me with quality service. His prices are generally the best and while he has a shop capable of handling your project, you can still order parts directly through him if thats more your style. I sent a close friend his way with his Jeep build because he was a novice when it came to Jeeps and I knew DMR would do it right and not take advantage of him. Truly an honest guy with a great work ethic which is why hell continue to be my preferred shop and parts supplier.
