Its a small space but its loaded with all types of merchandise. The clerk was friendly and polite. Prices vary, its not a 1$ store but items are affordable and the frozen foods selection is what it is.

I love the place you never know what to find

The manager of this place is so unprofessional...its not that hard to have common courtesy and good customer service. Ive been here multiple times when theres a huge line at the register and she wont open another, or says she is on her lunch break. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Unorganized as always! I know DG are usually unorganized but this place is dark, not well lit inside and shelves are always empty and stock is just sitting there waiting to be put away. I applied for a PT position and didnt get hired. I would have had that place organized quickly! Sometimes I want to volunteer lol for the sake of faithful customers like me and many others. Staff can be rude and stuff marked on sale doesnt ring up! Then they wont even check! Sale price 3/12 packs for 9.99 came up to $18.00 and she told me it was the bottle return deposit. Lol do the math!

Easy in and out everything I need love the people who work there so nice

At one point was a great store clean organized but new manager took over and no help lines too long. Aisles were a mess and dirty wont go back again

At this point in time, there seems to be New Management. With this being said, the store is well stocked clean people are abiding to wearing masks and complying with other mandatory statements of government. I have found the store most delightful.

Theyre pretty understaffed so I had to wait to get checked out but the service was fine.

Prices are great on some items, but other items are way overpriced. The Hamden location on State St is always FILTHY!!!Theres so many things priced wrong!!I often wonder if they have a manager in this location!!! Good as a quick run in store.

They have a great selection of things to purchase from grocery to home necessities.

This was my first time and experience at Dollar General and the staff people were extremely professional and also personable. I could not believe the prices. This is a great store.

I absalutley love this store. The very first time I went into one was in chiefland Florida. I was hoping you opened here in Connecticut and you did. My husband and I go to the one in Milford or East Haven.Your employees are all very professional and great personality. Im a manager for Cumberland Farms for 15 years. Decent store but often run out of stuff

Wasnt to thrilled about this place. Always out of my fav cereal so i asked. Its been three weeks sense they had any and the lady wouldnt even look. All I got was a nope,were out no motivation or customer service. The teller cashed me out and then stood there like a manaquin. Good thing I dont run that place. Id fire the lot of em! POS

Good place to run in when I need something quick dont do all my shopping there look at a couple things. Very convenient

Glad these stores have been popping up over the past few years, Im surprised how much they actually have at times, definitely better than your average Dollar Store with quality products my only issue with this store on Chapel is multiple times the registers for accepting cards, and Im more than one occasion the cashier had music blasting so loud while singing along he completely ignored my question oh, Im all about music at work and having fun but if you cant heres someone its a little too much

Dollar General on Coe ave is what you might expect. It has some decent prices for okay quality items. There are name brand household items for fair prices. The app for dollar General would be ideal if your trying to spend the least amount of money and have the time to save your coupons. On the other hand the staff there are anything but friendly. I have bought items and was rung out 3 times for the same thing when only buying 1 item. I put back an item a couple of times and was rung out for it and paid for it anyways and didnt even get it in my bag when I got home. Now I check my receipt before I leave the store and my bags as well. Be careful when you see the coupons in their flyers and be sure to check the dates on them. You would think on Sunday flyers the coupons should be used that day but Ive rung out my items and handed coupons to the cashier that couldnt take them because the coupon was only good for Wednesday til Saturday and had to go through my items to see what I needed to put back and felt a lot of pressure because I had five annoyed customers behind me due to the fact that there has never been 2 registers open all of the times Ive been there.

Under staffed but customer service was excellent. One and two person under staffed and under funded for doing two and four person operations. Franchise owners should hire more help and give them all 40hrs a week, stop abusing workers and support the people.

This location had the items I was looking for, staff was friendly BUT the place was kinda a mess. Not as well organized as other locations i have been into.

Large with many varities of things. Easy parking nearby gas station and a riteaid pharmacy.

Always a great pit stop from snacks to art supplies, quick condiments,last minute or forgot iteams!! Great store great prices
