Great small local business! They have all the regular items you can find in any grocery store but they also have .any items.you cant get anywhere else! Store made easy prep dinners, local meats! All around great store!

Great meat selection,higher prices than most stores,theyve been known to mix sale items with non sale items, hoping the consumer wont notice! Many people shop there for the convenient location

I havent shopped here for a while since it was easier to get shopping done at the larger supermarkets when COVID was a larger issue. How is it possible that the staff got ruder?

Very convenient and well stocked...you may not find every brand there but you will find 99% of items you can get at bigger stores...the IGA brand is great.its a family owned store and not a big chain...weve eaten many of their prepared foods...the lasagna is fabulous...my preferred grocery store once COVID is contained.

The store is old but well taken care of and their meat selection is the best in the neighborhood and their pre-made meals are delicious!!

Dont get me wrong I love the meat department a little pricey but definitely worth it. However dont ever ever ever ever ever order a steak and cheese sub from this place the drive from IGA to my home is four minutes and 24 seconds I ordered a steak and cheese sub. A full sub mind you that was $18 and by the time I got home didnt bring my groceries in just begin to eat the sub immediately right away it was so soggy and full of grease my daughter asked me if the bread had been soaked in water. An $18 sub with melted soggy bread! Who doesnt drain the grease 1st sandwich making 101!

Love their HUGE full loaf italian combo bomb subs. So big and so gooood! As long as you dont get the miserable lady behind the deli counter. I went to pick up sub and she was saying you couldnt wait in line?. Why wait in a long line when subs ARE THERE TO BE TAKEN? Miserable....

Really like it great line of marinated peppers and the subs for lunch are great not only the price but quality is much better then any other place wth in 10 miles true groceries are slightly higher but ppl and products they carry well you just Cant beat it

This is my go to store. There meats are wonderful. Need something special ask and they will do it. There deli is great also. The produce is fresh. And the employees are very helpful and nice. Definitely go see for yourself. 👍

I normally love T&J. All the staff is nice, food is fresh. However this is the 2nd time that Ive bought 50$ worth of NY strip steaks and they have tendions running through them. Ive never had this issue with them (before these past 2 times) or at other local stores. Tho I will continue to go to T&J, i wont buy steak there anymore.

Lived in east haven and shopped there frequently. Moved to West Haven and still try to get there as often as possible. Great Produce at great prices. Butchers will cut whatever you request. Can’t beat the meats.

Got the sirloin tips with potato onion and peppers ready for grill or oven on Saturday while visiting family in CT .... made them Sunday for dinner when i got home to Pennsylvania. FANTASTIC! I think your meat guys name is Joe ...?.... did a wonderful job. Look forward to my next trip to CT Ill definitely bring a bigger cooler!!!

Love this place. Good deli and fresh vegetables!

We were drawn in for their seafood and were just thrilled with their selection and the quality. Displays were thoughtful - vegetables paired with common spices and herbs together removing the need to hunt around the store. Highly reccomend.

I will no longer be getting my lunch meat from their Deli, an older worker was coughing all over the meat and did not ONCE cover her mouth! I walked right out of the store when I saw that.

They know where their produce comes from locally. Where random items are located exactlyand are friendly, kind. And the best part even the boss works stocking shelves, rearranging the store and ringing registers.

Great place to buy steak at great prices other than that expensive. I wouldnt do a full grocery shopping from there when shoprite is 2 miles away. Maybe a quick stop for milk, eggs and bread if u dont feel like driving the two miles

Went to deli dept to order colds cuts girl was rude asked mewhat do you want wouldnt take my order cause I didnt have a mask on but she was talking to another employee with her mouth uncovered dont shop here employees are rude

T&J is the Italians supermarket. All the local Italian-Americans shop here, and IGA stocks all the specialty items that market clamors for. You can get local favorites like Foxon Park soda and Hummel hot dogs, and almost any kind of staple Italian gourmet item, including specialty salumi at the deli counter and baccala at the fish section. They also stock complete collections of every canned and pickled item from local Italian food purveyors Sclafani and Cosmos.
