I honestly don’t know why this place has 4 stars. The place is way too loud, they sit everyone in one area so that they don’t have to clean much. I asked the waiter if they had beef sausage and she didn’t know the difference between pork and beef. I was disappointed in the food, it is not as great as everyone makes it out to be. Almost 25 minutes waiting for someone to take your order all for them to forget something and then wait another 10 minutes. Definitely don’t recommend.
Waiters and staff were using mask during service. Our seating for a group of six (6) was quick. The restaurant was not packed. The service was good and our food was brought to us around 20 minutes after ordering. We had burgers, a hot dog and a BLT sandwich. All served with fries. The burgers were a little dry, but okay. Overall, the food was okay, but we were there as a family, saying goodbye to mom/grandma before she moves out of state.
Friendly service, family (greek) style restaurant with all the usuals. Gyro was generous, fries hot and fresh. Kept clean. No complaints
Not recommended. We were a group of 8 on a Saturday. We were seated and the server failed to provide even the most basic of service: napkins and drinks. The restaurant was empty except for us so the delay was odd. The appetizers were over cooked. The French fries were over cooked. The country fried steak was too salty and the pasta it came with was dry. I dont understand this place. The cooks were lazy and service was bad. Save your money and your tummy. Go enjoy diner food at another location.
Services was...ok. they were nice but if you want microwaved bacon or specialty breakfast items without their special ingredients then this is definitely your place. I ordered the german pancakes w/apples in them and raspberry sauce and a side of bacon. The pancakes came out and I realized there was absolutely nothing German about these. They were regular pancakes with processed apples and no side of bacon. I called her back to the table to tell her about the bacon and to ask for the raspberry sauce and she said they dont serve it anymore and brought me 4 slices of chewy microwaved bacon. She took the pancakes off the ticket and apologized but honestly due to the over all quality of the food, I lost all faith and wont be returning
Thay have good food at a reasonable price and the service is great
Everything was great; the staff was friendly and welcoming, there was counter. My only issue was that my ham, sausage and cheese omelet was way over cooked. Easy to do. Im used to that since I do the same at home when I cook an omelet.
Great service in this old Pizza Hut, dont let that fool you, among the best of the great diners of New England. The blueberry pancakes are on point!

I highly recommend this diner! The service was exceptional, with a quick & friendly server. The food was delicious, affordable & served in generous portions. This has definitely become a to-go spot for me on Sunday mornings.
Besides the food being delicious the crew is very friendly. After we finished eating our meals they did not rush us to leave. They allowed us to sit for a while.

Don’t understand how this place has a good rating. Must be pre covid. Walked in with my girlfriend at 1:25. Was told we close at 2. Absolutely atrocious service. Usually a GOOD establishment will take customers a HALF HOUR before close. If people are lazy that’s their issue. I remember this place being so much better when I used to live around here. That was some of the worst service/ non service I’ve ever experienced. This isn’t the first time this has happened either. Two weekends in a row we were turned away for NO REASON other than laziness.
I have been going there for 19years and even tho I don’t go weekly I stop by enough to say that they’re awesome I loveeee the staff everyone from the kitchen to the front everyone is so nice and happy and you can tell that they are family. Their food is always delicious.

4 FOR 4!!!! Visiting friends we stopped here for breakfast 4 mornings for breakfast. already and we will be back before we head home. The menu has a wide variety of options from simple eggs to omelettes to pancakes and French toast. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. I had a different omelette each time, all were very good. My girlfriend had the German Apple pancakes on our last visit and loved it. The other times she had eggs over easy which were cooked perfectly. Each day you saw regulars come in and we were treated as we were one of them. One customer had his order read to him even before he started to order. Great food, warm friendly staff, fast service in this well run establishment.

Very good food, great service. Got an omelette with a bagel and biscuits and gravy. It was sad to not find diners with biscuits and gravy in New England until my wife and I landed here. Changed our out look on the diner scene in CT. Would come back

I dont know what else I can do the stuffed mushrooms without fully cooked the mushrooms were so large I think they were still a little raw. The ham steak was good as of mashed potatoes and gravy. Wasnt overly crazy about the key lime pie tasted more like lemon meringue. Im usually content with the meals that Ive had there in the past.
Extra Large portions and freshly made. The menu has so much variety that there is something for everyone. Easy access to I-95 so I definitely reccomend stopping by.

It was ok . My friend asked for her burger well done & it came out it literally 5 mins needless to say it wasnt well done. They did however make her a new one. The waitresses are very nice. Ive eaten here many times & will again . I guess everyone can have a bad day.
Went for breakfast, pretty extensive menu as with most diners. Ordered dry toast, and hash browns well, neither came as ordered. Was basically told sorry with no offer to correct it. Worth a try otherwise.
I am not really a diner guy because the food us usually bland and blah. East Haven Village Restaurant is different. The food is tasty and cooked as if it were done in your own kitchen. This is my go to diner. I highly recommend this place. Oh by the way, the prices are reasonable and the staff is pleasant. -ABT-

Great place! Especially for a traditional diner food stop. Staff is very helpful, and friendly. Prices are average for diner food. My favorite is their tenders and fries. Coleslaw is pretty good.For something a bit different I enjoy a pastrami sandwich which they will make the adjustments as you like it.Definitely a good stop even if your on your way back home or headed either North off I95. iIts right off the highway.😊

Been going here since I was a kid with my family and have always loved it. I love the classic homey atmosphere. They recently remodeled and although it looks nice it removed that days of old feel it had which I actually enjoyed.

I just had brunch, the burger meat was ok the orange juice was Abit sour more like in the side of a grapefruit bitter. Home fries were too pale for my taste!?!?;!!

Been coming here sense i was younger. (Atleast 10 years) Who ever took over management now is very rude and not family oriented what so ever. Its to bad because it was always a nice place to go for a bite to eat. I had an issue with my serving size. I was told thats what it has always been. (I get the same order almost every time I visit so I know what my order usually looks like) I insisted I never received an order like that th manager. A Spanish man. said well thats how it is turned his back and walked away. When the issue at hand was not resolved rather ignored and brushed off. My father then went to inform the manager I was disappointed in his service and he did the same to him. As he was talking to him trying to resolve and issue and walked away from him. If I could give no stars I would. Very disappointed and upsetting
