Johnny sins wannabe was extremely rude and didnt help when i asked what was the value of something. Not a good way to treat potential customers!

Went in to look at some things. We agreed on a price and said I needed cash to make the purchase. That’s fine. Came back about 30 minutes later and he jacked the price, saying he thinks he can get a better price Terrible way to do business.

Called to ask if had any ac units left me on hold then called me back asking me if i have any ac units a## hole. Not very professional. Lost my business

Saw this place driving by randomly thought I’d run in to see if I could sell 2 watches I wasn’t using any more. Gary helped me out, he was super friendly and fair, made the whole thing easy and fast. I ended up selling both and leaving happy.Great experience will definitely be back to sell other items.

I would like to commend gary on his excellent customer service. He was very helpful and recommended a few pieces. The store is clean and the prices are reasonable. Keep up the great work i will highly recommend.

If your looking to sell something and you want the highest price, don’t waste your time going anywhere else. I used to shop around but It was literally a waste of time, because Gary always gives me the best price for anything that I bring in.

I had a wide variety of jewelry I received from my grandmother when she passed. Unfortunately, i was laid off from my job several weeks ago, so I decided to sell a few items to pay some bills. Gary was extremely fair with pricing, I left his shop feeling satisfied as opposed to cheated and ripped off so I will definitely be back.

My husband and I absolutely love this place. Whenever we have something to sell, we bring it directly to Gary and he gives us TOP dollar. I’ve found apps like “Let Go” to be a total waste of time. Trust me, if you want the most money for your item this is your best bet.

Bad area. Do Not go Here to sell gold, diamonds or any jewelry. Very low offer I received in person. Very high crime area. I was nervous leaving with my items when I didnt Sell. Not Safe at all. Maybe it is good place to sell an old lawnmower or electronics. But not jewelry.Stay Clear. I checked multiple places and this place was lowest.

This is currently my favorite pawn shop. Ive been buying and selling for years and I write down a list of value and what Id want from a pawn shop. They hit almost exactly what I want every time and there is always something new and interesting for sale there. Every time Ive been I have made a purchase. Ive been to many other pawn shops and have not had an experience that compares to here.

Sold some gold bars here. The owner was cool and fair w pricing. Tried a few other places before coming here and it was a waste of time.

I have been a customer of this shop since back when it was in New Haven on Grand Avenue and have always had a great experience. I frequently pawn a few different items when I need extra cash for this or that and the owner has always provided excellent customer service. There has even been multiple occasions when I could not pay within the deadline and he still worked with me so I didnt lose my items. Not sure what that other reviewer is talking about as I travel out of my way to his new location instead of visiting the numerous shops closer to me solely because I trust the owner and enjoy my experience every time!

I love both stores. The pawn rates are like those of NY. Places like Waterbury were 300% interest compiled monthly! Worked with me when I communicated my problems. Good guys.

Up until today I had never been to a pawn shop before. I have always heard negative things about pawnshops, as far as being ripped off or taken advantage of. My mother passed away several years ago and she left me a bunch of her old jewelry. Unfortunately money is tight right now, so i decided to bring it around and get some prices. I went to about ten places before getting to pawn haven and each time i felt like they were trying to take advantage of my unfortunate situation but when i walked into Pawn Haven i was greeted by Gary and immediately felt like he really cared. He looked at the jewelry i had and offered me more than any other place i visited. He knew a lot about my pieces, and explained why each was worth what it was. Thank god for Gary he changed my view on pawn shops, he took great care of me and made a difficult thing, easy and comfortable.

A week ago I went to this pawn shop to sell gold. They tried to tell me my gold weighed less. And offered me about $300 less than the previous stores Stores I visited.

When it comes to jewelry, Gary knows his stuff!

This pawn shop doesnt even deserve a star. They are a disgrace and have poor customer service skills. The employees think theyre knowledgeable about everything, yet they know nothing and try to low ball you on goods. Their a joke, dont waste your time. Im not sure if it was the owner that I spoke to on Saturday 8-19-17. Biggest douche I have ever met. No people skills at all.In response...What business owner would respond with a LOL? Are you 18? I am trying to get rid of an item I dont use. You treat your customers with respect regardless if you dont want that item. Sales 101 or did you finish High School? This was the first time I have ever been to a Pawn Shop, it was not like what I expected. The employees were helpful and the prices were good, glad I stopped by.

These other terrible reviews are completely accurate. Owner has 0 customer service skills. For starters you usually greet a customer who comes into your shop. Didnt do that. He had a very flat affect and zero politeness. Come on buddy you know there are 100 other pawn shops within a 10 mile radius!! Have brought multiple things there and was turned down, which I understand but what really blew my mind was that I brought and iPad 2 he looks it up and goes wow the prices have really dropped, I proceeded to ask for 40$ not 60 not 50.but 40!!!! Completely reasonable because I planned on picking it up two days later. he then tells me he cant take it because my iCloud stuff or whatever was signed in WHICH IT WAS NOT, and that I needed to sign out. I said its not signed in and he said no I cant take it not even worth my time ?!?! I then said 20$ and he still said NO. What a damn joke. Want to know the best part? I usually go to the shop over in Milford Who gladly gives me 60 on it every time but this time I decided to give him a try and save myself the drive. Well let me tell you I made the drive and went to Milford and told him what happened and they laughed and said nothing was locked on the iPad . This guy has absolutely no idea what he is talking about . Really really what a shame

Only been here twice, both times satisifed, no time wasted and quick service. Low and bad reviews arent necessary or accurate, he took some of my things and gave me a fair price, the things he didnt take he gave fair reasoning as too why. His Customer service skills were perfectly fine considering this seems too be a personally owned PAWN SHOP and not Wal-Mart.
