The manager gave me one price and charge my son way more then he quoted and was extremely rude on the phone and told me I knew you would call back and couldnt explain why he charge him so much more. SO please avoid this place or you will be sorryRear Brakes pads $52, 2 rear calipers $45 each and 2 rear rotors $36 each keep in mine you get $23 back per old calipers total parts $214 plus $46 back for calipers and I was told the cost of the job was $500.00 which was still high to me but it needed to be done when my son goes by himself to get his car the manager... same one I spoke with, charge him over $700.00 wow I know there tax but he is a rip off and then wanted to argue with me the next day when he knew that he was wrong never again..... you look and do the math.

I took my car in to have the tie rods changed and the battery changed. Now my car cuts off in traffic, every time I brake. I called them and without even looking at my car again, they said they couldn’t have done it - plus my car had a lot of problems. Yeah but it never had THIS problem. They basically told me tough sh!t. I do deliveries for a living and it’s unsafe that my car now randomly cuts off when I brake. The worst I’ve ever been treated anywhere

Developed a slow leak after hitting a pothole on Sunrise Highway. Was able to continue so I was able to roll to my neighborhood Mavis before losing air completely.The manager temporarily replaced the tire with my donut spare, which kept me going until the replacement tire was delivered from their warehouse.Transaction went smoothly and performed in a timely manner.

My friend is a Floor Manager at a store in Staten Island and I initially had my tires replaced there while visiting him. I needed to get my tire replaced after 4 months because of a flat and since I live in this area, I had to visit this store in islip . I asked the sales person the fee and he charged me $83 which included $40 for tread depth. I asked my friend at the other store and he told me that I was basically getting ripped off. Also worth mentioning, my friend asked his district manager what I should be charged. I told the person at the islip store this and he told me to go to Staten Island with a flat. I became a customer at mavis because I thought I could go to any mavis and be treated with professionalism. Instead I’m getting robbed. Will not be buying the “warranty” again that’s for sureUPDATE: I called MAVIS and they didn’t do anything to help with my situation and claimed that I needed to submit a warranty claim to GOODYEAR because the tread was too worn for a brand new tire. I highly doubt that they install new tires to begin with. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to shop at mavis and that includes all stores

BEWARE!! I walked out of this place for these reasons: Misleading, not honest, no customer service here, if you are clueless about cars dont go here because theyll try to get the most $$$ out of you and and add a couple of hours waiting, no thanks! I just went to the next mavis and they are charging me the right price, no BS, and guess what? They are almost done with my car.

Nice Place and VERY helpful!!! i had a tire claim with Michelin and Mavis helped me with my claim, answering all of Michelins questions to process a claim.(which took a while on the phone, measuring and all the wear questions OMG. patience! I WILL ALWAYS BUY TIRES FROM THESE GUYS, THEY WERE THE BEST!!! i went someplace else first and was told lies! Mavis knows what they are doing and REALLY handled my claim very professional!!! I TRUST THEM VERY MUCH!!! CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!!!

Noticed a nail in my tire and went there because it was close to my apartment. Someone went right out to my car and took care of it immediately. He was super friendly and helpful. Fortunately I didn’t need any patch work or a new tire but if I ever do, I’m going there!

Tire was losing air. Called them on a whim. Said to bring car down asap. Got there, they looked at the tire and plugged a hole where a nail had punctured the tire. Was in and out in 30 minutes. Friendly and prompt service. Was impressed. Would recommend for tire related issues.

Probably the best, most well run MAVIS SHOP within a 20 mile radius. The most pleasant and knowledgeable staff and they dont try to pull any tricks. Straightforward with an outstanding GM, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE MECHANIC MILTON AND TONY .I visit other MAVIS SHOPS and have never met another store friendlier or more helpful then this one. NO GAMES NO NONSENSE. Best MAVIS SHOP hands down.

Originally had this at 5 stars. I had a screw in my tire and it was removed in a few minutes on my first visit. A 2nd tire had another screw so i brought it here to get it removed. after dropping my car and waiting all day, i finally called them, only to be told they no longer do repairs on runflat tires. They claimed to have looked at the tire and said it was a screw but i really doubt it. Car was parked in the same place with the mirrors still folded in. They kept me waiting for me to call them, bad customer service. Waste of a day as well.

I love this location of Mavis because the staff is friendly and professional. They will give you an honest assessment of what your car needs and work to make sure it stays within the price they quoted. I have taken all 3 of our vehicles there for everything from simple inspections to multiple issues and all were taken care of in a timely and professional manner. Highly recommend this location, the Manager is great!

Thieves. My sister went in for an insepection and they told her that her 2 year old SUV needed two rear tires to pass inspection. They said it was $495 PER TIRE. The exact tires are $133 at Costco, same brand and size. The tires had plenty of tread and passed inspection at a different location without issue. Trying to take advantage of a young, responsible, single-mom.

Honest Management, said I didnt need to have the tires replaced right now. It could wait. They were very safe to drive on. Saved me $1000.00 dollars for now but I will be back when I do need tires!

I went in because my sheering wheel feels loose and the guy told me that and my rear brakes had my front ones changed a month ago. He said nothing is wrong with my rear brakes but, my rear shocks are no good. I had my shocks and struts changed with my front brakes about a month ago LIARSSSSS. Total BS. I took my car and left.

Very disappointed. My inspection was due. Called on Thursday for a Sunday appointment. I was asked to come in at 10. Got there before 10 and told I had to leave it. Not prepared to leave the car, had no one to come get me so I sat for more than 2 hours. No apology or anything. I will never go back there.

Realized last minute my inspection was due and called to get in on a busy Saturday. Was told I was in the book and to come in at my convenience. I had to bring my 2 year old, so was prepared with stuff to keep him busy. They were changing the channel to find cartoons for my toddler and worked to get me in and out ASAP. It was really a great place, with friendly staff and I will be sure to visit again!

Ive brought my car here a few times and never had an issue their was a guy named Eli who I wasnt crazy about but the last time I was there which was not long ago I needed 2 new tires and I was helped by a man named Eric he was a very nice guy really was professional and honest with me was very helpful and kept his word and I will continue to bring my car there

Purchased 2 tires, had an issue with a leak in one tire after the install. They fixed the problem, no hassle, no fuss. I would definitely go back knowing in the event of a problem theyre courteous and professional, and will make sure its fixed.

2 separate times i bought tires and within 2 days i miraculously had power steering issues. The 2nd time i bought tires i questioned him about prior purchase and he wrote on the computer that i was a sensitive customer which printed on my receipt

Always completely satisfied with the service and car care I get at Mavis, East Islip.

I called in advance to see if I could bring it for an inspection while I wait. They said theyre not busy and I should bring it right in. They let me wait for an hour while they worked to find something wrong. They claimed that my windshield wipers were cracked so they could charge me an extra $30 plus tax. My fault for not bringing wipers with me and by trusting anybody who says sit there and wait and will be done soon

No fan of their overhead and stocking fee, its a BS charge, their prices arent the best either. Check out Walmart, seriously.

Really a bad experience, took my two cars for NYS inspection, they told I need to buy new tires to pass inspection, thieves only want to sell really expensive tires, took my cars to a different places and passed the inspection w/o problems.
