There is no perfect supermarket. But if Im gonna dole out 5 stars, it makes sense awarding them to this location. I didnt know how much i would missed shopping here until i moved away. Great selection, clean store with spacious aisles, friendly employees. Now that Im back living in the general area, i make a point to visit the East Islip location, even though its not the closest to my new home.

Love this location but THEY NEED MORE VARIETY. So many things can no longer be bought while stuff that no one is buying sits on the shelf. stock the things that are selling out. Buy more and work on your inventory people

Just went in to use the pharmacy. Personnel in pharmacy nice.

I really wish they would have a more consistent inventory. Many times I have to go to additional stores to complete my grocery shopping. Its very discouraging and disappointing.

This was my first time inside this store and it was amazing its nice and clean and the staff was very nice and friendly it everything is so organized.

This has become my favorite stop and shop, there is one a bit closer but seems smaller. Find everything I need, no long lines, pleasant cashiers.

Shop for groceries, here all the time. Love, love the fried chicken!!! Its as good as my home made. Has a wee bit of a zing, in the dredge. So good!!!

Forced to shop here since we just moved here about 5 months ago. I absolutely hate it! Always crowded! The customers are rude, the staff is rude! I was shopping yesterday and an EMPLOYEE literally almost ran me over with his U BOAT! No excuse me, no apology, no nothing...even when my husband and I approached him on what he just did! Some workers in the meat department are also rude, I rarely get a nice worker! The only ones that are pleasant are the ones working the self check out! I think the whole store needs a meeting with the managers and need to be taught manners, hospitality, and consideration! I have no idea how these people still manage to have jobs the way they treat their customers. It’s absolutely beyond me!

Great clean store. Bakery is excellent. Olive bar is really top shelf at 8.99 lb.Fried chicken is WAY better than KF Chicken. Produce dept is loaded with choice of organic fruits and veggies as well as regular.Follow the sales flyer and online coupons for best deals and get 10 cents /gal for every $100.00 spent too. And MARTY the robot

One year into this Pandemic and Stop & Shop seems to be the only store (this one and the Bay Shore location) that cant properly stock their shelves. Many shelves are empty, products that are offered are one brand only (Stop & Shops of course), and some items (canned cat food, for one) have been completely missing for over a month (unless you want to buy the expensive brands). Getting really tired of leaving without half the things on my list.

The only reason I shop here is because of the deli workers. I’ve been going to either Xena or Rich for five years and refuse to go to anyone else. Xena is beyond caring and will go above and beyond to make sure my order is correct and prepared the way I like it. Rich is awesome as well and always makes me laugh and feel appreciated. If if weren’t for them I wouldn’t shop here anymore.

Meat department has a terrible attitude and rude.You can tell they do not like their jobs. I came to buy meat that should have been reduced. They told me to come back the next day. When I returned the next day they gave me the run around pointing the finger of blame to other people. The whole meat department needs a lesson in how to be nice to the people that they work for. The front staff was kind and considerate.

I just wanna say that the stop and shop in East Islip is amazing! Brandon the cashier and the manger ( not sure the name) both were so nice and helpful. The self check out computer wasn’t working for me and they both had a lot of patience with us and the computer.the refunded the money back and everything was good! Thank you😁

Forced to shop here now since Best Market closed down. I have been to deli counters in many cities & states and I can say this is THE WORST. They are rude, they make you wait an insanely long time for coldcuts, their system is disorganized, not 1 person acknowledged me standing there and they move as slowly as possible on purpose. They should hire the deli crew from Best Market if they got laid off. The staff at stop & shop is an abomination. Not to mention their coldcuts are 2-3 bucks more per pound. Management isnt going to do a damn thing either.

I go here because its convenient since this is where I shop and its less expensive than CVS. To that point, if you try and use Good Rx prepare to be embarrassed. Several times when Ive been here and take the 10 seconds to check the price difference I get the eye roll or Ill put in a special code for you I guess because Im taking too long. Im not working right now and not sure when I will be again and my insurance is sometimes more. Very rude and unprofessional. If you dont want to deal with us Good Rx customers then dont participate.

One of the cleanest Stop and Shops around. I do have difficulty getting some items that are available at other Stop and Shops. But the cleanliness of the store negates all other issues in this COVID era.

Don’t shop here, they let so many people in without masks, and tell their workers not to give people a hard time about it.

Way a great place to shop for food.

Love this place because everything is always fresh and they have a large variety of all items. Fresh seafood department, large meat section, always a wide, fresh variety of produce. They recently added a hot food bar which frequently offers a delicious glazed salmon thats delicious! I do wish they had a salad bar like Wegmans. Prices are good and they now offer a process where you could pick up a code price scanner and put your groceries directly into your take home bags after scanning the price on your hand held scanner so at the check out all you do is pay what the scanner shows and leave. Always clean, bright, comfortable and well staffed.

Good parking. Free. Handicap accessibility. Easy to see from Hwy. If you pass it, dont worry bc theres other entrances to get to it and if youre in the South side, you can turn around and come back to it. Its really good if you catch them with sales otherwise, their prices seem to be quite pricey compared to other grocery stores.

I normally love this store. I work late and it is open till midnight which is great. Everyone is always so nice. Except for this time. This time I dealt with Conner. Conner is rude and needs to learn to have patience in costumer service. If the self checkout isnt working, you should be more understanding to your costumer since they are the one who was inconvenienced, not you. Especially if your machine took a costumers money. Conner barely acknowledged that fact and was snappy when I asked about it. No empathy. No manners. The woman who checked me out is lovely. She always is. But Conner is a sore, nasty spot on great store.

Truthfully this store is not that bad but preferably the Holbrook store is much better in my opinion.

Since best market closed everyone is going to stop and shop in east islip there never stocked well never have what I am looking for so its like a scavenger hunt food shopping the producers is expansive and does not look good they need to get more deliveries of food

Last week, after a long hard day at work I discovered that my wallet was missing, either lost or stolen & never to be recovered. Luckily, I had some cash on hand and decided to do some food shopping at this store. When I placed my very large food order on the counter I was told by the clerk that I needed to provide a drivers license to purchase the beer included in my order. I chuckled and pointed to my naturally white hair and aged face, thinking she was joking. (for the record, I am a 66 year old white haired decorated US military veteran who looks exactly as just described. There is absolutely nothing about my appearance that would even remotely indicate that I am not over the age of 21).Well, she wasnt kidding and repeated her request for me to provide ID for the beer. Astonished that she could not accurately discern that I was of sufficient age, I asked for her supervisor. When he arrived at the counter he repeated her request for ID and told me it was company policy. I informed him that I had no identification on me and that Ithought it was ridiculous to think that the store would in any way possible be violating NY State law by allowing me to purchase beer without proof of age. He refused to make any exception.This company policy to require identification for each and every purchase of beer without regard to the obvious is often instituted as a result of a store having been cited for past violations, meaning that in the past, some clerk allowed a minor to purchase a restricted product. So upper management decides that rather than provide sufficient training for their employees, it would be less costly to pass the burden of their errors onto the public by taking the human input (as to the obvious) away from the employee and requiring senior citizens such as myself to either comply or shop elsewhere.Ive chosen the latter.

My wife Paid for items at customer service line . Had previously purchased some items in a shopping cart left store . Then outside was approached by loss prevention and store manager. Obviously they thought My wife stole checked her receipts and was unprofessional upon finding out they were MISTAKEN. No apology just nasty attitude. This experience made my wife feel very uncomfortable an somewhat embarrassed. The store manger taunted her basically saying he didn’t care if she called cooperate bullying her and trying to intimidate her and another female that was with with her security and other patrons there who witnessed this despicable display, which I will indeed report to cooperate on Monday June 15th 2020.

The fruit when you walk in is very tempting. So I bought a lot of fruit. I was very happy when I got home. Usally I pig out on junk cookies but the plums and cherries was a super bonus to start my diet. Lol. Lol

Meh. . . .just like Shop Rite. Its okay. Better produce & better prices at Meat Farms.

Their 5 gallon bottle deposit hasn’t printed tickets in about 6 months or more. So the procedure is to go to the customer service counter and get the tickets to buy replacement bottles. Unfortunately customer service closes at 9pm, and the entire store becomes disabled. No other employees know what to do. I guess it’s rocket science. The person responsible for that deposit machine doesn’t really care to fix it. So hoping this review provokes action, and hopefully I can stop wasting time.

It’s the most amazing! Stop and Shop supermarket! It’s a true! The Neighborhood! Supermarket! Specially the meat department guys!! And the wonderful cashers! They are absolutely the best!! Local smaller supermarket. Therefore with covid 19 it is harder for them to keep stock. Security is usually on their phone rather than enforcing covid regulations

You can find most food items and other staples at the store. Products are neatly organized and accessible. Deli and Bakery are good. Health food items are available. Meat selections are good, prices reasonable. Small fresh fish section, not as extensive as competitive food stores. Produce is good and fairly extensive, with organic produce, but some fresh selections are not available (e.g. loose spinach, green beans, etc.), but are available in prepackaged form. Service is usually accessible and reliable.

Large buffet. Looks better than it tastes. Like cafeteria food or perhaps I made poor choices.

Good afternoon! Your store in East Islip looks great with easy access to everything!! However my experience today not so great- The employee who works behind the Seafood section was extremely rude!! Maybe this person is not happy with there job. My advice- If “One is unhappy then one should not be working with the public” As a civil service person myself I should not have to get an attitude at a supermarket while doing my routine shopping! We all work long days, have families and responsibilities. While doing food shopping should not be where you receive and nasty attitude for no reason! Other then that we like the renovation!

Store itself is great, organized, easy to find everything. But the deli department is a disaster, I waited almost 40 minutes, either go all kiosk or all tickets. Get rid of both, so annoying.

Even though it is taking a while to get use to new layout ... i love my Stop and Shop ... staff always friendly and helpful...and store is always clean.

They block all of the aisles to early and it can be difficult to shop. There healthy / vegan section can use some work(more like the Bayshore store on Main st). They have no salad bar but the staff is great.

I no longer live in New York but my family still does and the East Islip location is the closest one that we’ve always shopped at. I am contacting you to inform you of two individuals behind the deli counter whom my mother called me about in tears because they were making fun of her surgery scar on her neck from having thyroid CANCER. This infuriated me that I can’t go there myself and not only educate them but give them a few scars of their own. I suggest you train your employees on proper customer service before they say something to someone who takes action. DISGRACEFUL!

The store is very clean and well stocked, the prices are average, but you can find some good deals.

Never any baskets around. I end up going all the way down the line of registers looking for one. Today I actually didnt find ANY so I am carrying eggs and other stuff around in my arms. Not sure why it is difficult to have more baskets, its been like this for years.

I found cotton candy grapes here, and it made me extremely happy.

The store is very clean and was recently renovated. Conveniently located by Marshalls, Hallmark and Starbucks.

The deli dept is so slow...takes too long to get called then they take forever slicing stuff. Youre better off going to a mom & pop deli (like Carleton Ave Deli)for your cold cuts
