Oriental Market is such an awesome store! They have SO MUCH to choose from. From fresh fruits & vegetables, portable grills, self heating pots all the way to skin care products. I love that they even have a nice vegetarian food selection. They even sell BANANA BUBBLE TEA!!! Theres a HUGE candy selection and their prices are really reasonable as well! Ill definitely be coming back to this store in the future. I definitely recommend giving this store a visit. I probably spent a good hour and a half looking at everything. So many things here that are really hard to find anywhere else.

With new renovations, New Oriental Mart looks Super awesome!! I have been there and I am super impressed with the fresh produce, fresh meat, large variety of snacks and also with the good customer services! This is the best grocery store in east lansing that I would like to go!! Highly recommend. Everybody should give a try with its fresh look inside and out!😁

This place is huge! So many items. I am a total Asian food fan and visit so many, none like this! The people there were so helpful and friendly (spoke fantastic English so added bonus!) The store is beautiful and very clean as well!!!

Love. This. Place. I enjoy cooking different Asian meals, and this is the best place to find some of the more difficult to find ingredients. Amazing selection of items from several regions and countries, including an impressive selection of snacks, oils, dried goods, sauces, produce, meats, drinks, and much more, all at very reasonable prices. The store itself is very clean, organized, and overall very well kept. My biggest suggestions to those who visit is to give yourself ample time to explore, and perhaps have a translation app on hand. While all items have an English nutritional/ingredient label added, Most items main label will be in the language from which they came. Some have English, but many do not. All in all, I highly, HIGHLY, recommend checking this place out.

The aisles are nicely organized by product type. The staff are courteous and efficient. Ill have to try the food court when I go back to stock up on supplies 😁

Awesome place to get all your Asian food needs. My wife is half Japanese and grew up in Japan, so we eat a lot of Asian food. I love Asian food and this store. The updates are very nice as well. We get so many great food items here. The best Asian food store in the area for sure.

Ive been shopping here for nearly ten years and its always been an amazing store just packed to the gills with cool stuff. Theyve recently upgraded the store quite a bit and its very shopper friendly with clear labeling on the shelving. The produce and meats are super fresh. Lots of imported goods that you cant find elsewhere in town, especially snacks. Also their bakery items are delicious, I got a red bean bread that was so so fluffy. Absolutely recommend checking this place out.

They renewed the place and now the place is looking awesome. Now, they have a wide variety of everything you are looking for in an Oriental market. They even have bakery, food and fresh fish which is awesome. Definitely going there more often.

This store is amazing! Huge with an unbelievable selection of items from many countries. Wow.

This place has changed ownership (from old-school Oriental Mart to Fresh International Market-owned, a chain). It shows in both good and not so good ways-- the interior was immensely improved and updated, with little on-demand restaurant/dessert items and a café, new light fixtures and a pretty significant face-lift. There is, and always has been, a great selection of products there.However, some vegetables arent quite as fresh as they used to be, and prices have increased markedly (and are more expensive than some alternatives). Items of note include the same brand of a 50lb bag of rice, over $8 more than at a competitor, rambutan (which also did not look the best) over $3/bag more, and little markups on almost all shelf-stable products (noodles and candies especially).

Best selection of Asian groceries in the area. Also occasionally better prices on veggies and some meats. Havent really had a chance to check out the new bakery or hot foods.I miss the fresh eggrolls, but I think theyre just not available because self-serve vanished from most places due to COVID.

Everytime I go to this market it is always clean. The staff is polite and everyone is so friendly.

Theyve finally reopened and it was definitely worth the wait! The store has been completely remodeled and expanded with a fresh, more upscale look. Theres still the large selection of Asian packaged foods, with expanded produce and meat/seafood departments. Theyve also added a hot food counter with everything from tasty lamb, beef, or pork skewers for under $2 to whole roast ducks for $30. Theres also sushi, boba, lots of ready-to-eat cold food, and a bakery counter. This place has been my favorite Asian market for years and its wonderful to see them back and better than ever!.

Best Asian market in the Lansing area, hands down. Has recently been revamped to offer even more. Now has a bakery, and a cafe which I am definitely looking forward to trying. Prices are a little high, but fair considering the novelty of what is being provided.

Looks fantastic inside after the remodel, have yet to try any of the food being served but the selection of groceries seems bigger. My son and I go monthly to stock up and we were fiendin during the long remodel, glad to see it back open again and thriving.

The selection is so great it is overwhelming to just browse. If you know youre going there to shop make a list because they have so much to see youll forget what you came for.

Living in mid-Michigan, theres a real dearth of anything really diverse...unless youre of the BOTH kinds of music...Country AND Western mindset. So, Ive been really missing a GOOD oriental supermaket on the order of Ranch 99 in California. This place fills the bill...100%.

They are OPEN again! Its so much bigger in terms of space and selection. They have fresh seafood, meat, bakery, produce, bubble tea, sushi, etc ... They also got a liquor license so they sell wine / beer / soju / sake! Pretty good price.

They renewal opened last week. Everything; interior, shelves, floor pattern are new. Definitely they have more selections of food items.

Love everything about this renovated place except the overpriced bakery section. $3 for a small bread and the wrapping has a foul plastic odor that seeped into the bread.

The store has been expanded and fully renovated. Seems to be under new management. And there are more staff, and operates more like a big chain grocery store. There is now an area for prepared/cooked foods as well as Chinese bar-b-q with some of the usual items such as Bbq pork (char siu/shio) ducks, chicken. But unfortunately, with the expansion and staff, the prices are quite high, and the cooked ready to eat food and the bbq items cost the same as ordering from the nearby Chinese Restaurant. (Which is a bit interesting pricing model, because ready to eat food at other chain grocery place tend to be priced much more affordable/lower than picking up from a restaurant.) The pricing strategy may backfire, as the high prices can inhibit repeat customers from impulse purchase of the bbq items and ready to go foods.

Terrible, they said the renovation would take two weeks before they closed and guess what, so many weeks passed and they are still closed. Absolutely no where to find information at all, nothing on the website nothing on social media, definitely will explore other marts and try to avoid them even they reopen.Edit: I have no problem with delayed construction, the whole COVID situation is understandable, yet the owners did the most terrible job in communication with the consumers. Update your info on google maps, your websites, or social media!

Great selection, well organized.

Ive been to many international/asian goods stores all over the country. Im always looking for new ingredients, new flavors - new experiences. Often times this means that the store is a little disorganized or that floors are a little scuffed since they are frequently in older buildings. This place recently got a face lift: the grocery section is well stocked and labeled with many typically-difficult-to-find items like prepared lotus root and chayote, there is a hardware and kitchen implemented section, and if youre looking for snacks and drinks, they have a phenomenal selection. There is a deli and a fish market, and even a cafe and restaurant! The only thing that is missing compared to other asian grocers like Denver, COs Pacific Mercantile is that most drinks are tea or milk-based. Which for me is fantastic, but I know some people love sodas and juices - and perhaps I missed it, but I wouldnt mind taking home some lychee-based soft drinks some time. I digress: this place is more than worth your time.

Store still closed, looks like a ton more work to do. But its frustrating that they still show open on Google. I used to love it, but Ive been having to hit the other marts around town. Starting to find what I need in these other stores and forgetting why I ever went out of my way to hit this mart.Ive wasted two trips out here, doubt Im going back. (That comment aged well, at least I said doubt)Still closed as of 12/1...

Do not recommend this place at all.Their service is horrible, probably the worst in whole Lansing area. Cashiers and manager are always rude, treating customers with no courtesy, never smile or greeting or give thanks. They make you feel you own them million dollars. If anything happens, they always accuse customers, never apologize or try to fix and serve better. Talk bad behind customers’s back.Inside it’s dirty. Space is too tight. Layout is ugly and not convenient flow. Products are more expensive than other Asian store too. Sometimes sell expired products, also rotten meat. So be very careful.So try to avoid them if you can. There are so many better options out there.

This place blew my mind. Im from a small town and at home, our international food selection has maybe 20 items. Its a great place to find interesting snacks and tons of cooking basics for Asian cuisines. I couldnt believe all the frozen meals! I hope to learn more about cooking other cuisines and Ill be finding ingredients here!

We love this place it has lots of stuff including a lot of fresh vegetables and some fresh meats plus tons of spices and all sorts of different Asian foods.

Great selection of food items that you wouldnt find at your normal grocery store. I cant speak too well to how much access you have to things if you are trying to cook the most authentically but I definitely had a lot of materials around that got my head thinking for cooking ideas.

Huge selection of many Asian foods and items. This is my favorite Asian Market in Michigan. They have a large selection of fresh produce and live fish and seafood too. In this area usually its hard to find many Japanese items but Oriental Mart carries most of my daily Japanese food needs and have many brands that I use in Japan.
