This is an amazing quilting shop with many top brands of sewing machines and parts, bolts and bolts of beautiful fabrics, notions, threads and patterns galore, and too many inspirational sample items on display to count!I stumbled upon this gem about 3 months ago and just made the 1.5 hour trek back again - its worth the drive! The gal who helped me even remembered me from the 1st trip! Bonus, theyre actually open on Sundays which is rare for a quilt shop. A must-visit for quilters in the area.

I just got off the phone with Melissa on machines. She was excellent! Gave me the information I was seeking so I could move ahead in my work...I am so thrilled. I can’t wait to meet her in person.

Was delighted to discover this shop when my brand new sewing machine (bought elsewhere unfortunately) broke and needed repair. When I brought it in they took time right then to check it over enough to ensure it wasnt just some simple user error issue which as a new sewer I appreciated greatly. It did need repair and they fixed it in less than a week and charged a reasonable fee. My next sewing machine will be purchased from this store for sure. Much greater selection of machines than where I bought from. Best array of fabrics and sewing related doo-dads I have ever seen. They are very serious about pandemic safety with plastic sheeting protecting staff and enforcing mask requirements. I so appreciate that. I and another in my household are at high risk for COVID complications and this is one of few stores that feels safe to shop in these days due to their diligence in enforcing protective measures.Will be a long term customer now for sure!

Went for a sewing machine problem, user problem,not machine lol. One of the great staff helped me to understand how to correct my problem. Then I checked out their material,a great variety. Also looked at the other things they carry. I just love 💘 this store. Hope to get back to it.

Cute fabric at a good price. Markdowns happen regularly, and they have their own little rewards program where you can save a percentage of a certain amount of purchases on one order. I thought that that idea was kind of neat, because people who support them more save more. If youre one of those people who orders cheap fabric from China, I would suggest you pop into this little shop before you make your next order. The prices here are fair and you dont have to deal with the wait.

I bought a embroidery machine and needed the bobbin to be repaired. Pam sat down with me, fixed the bobbin, told me about the thread I needed and fixed my needle. The best 20 minutes ever! Thanks Country Stitches!

They are all amazing here I brought my machine i this week to be repaired and also bought another machine as a backup, when I get home that machine was not working correctly so I brought it in they looked at it said that they couldnt fix it so they just switched it out with another machine, we tried it before I left to make sure everything works fine no extra cost to me at all and they had me taken care of within half an hour

My friend has a medical condition that makes it impossible for her to wear a mask over her nose, doctors orders. When an employee saw her with her mask below her nose, they ask her to leave. Upon speaking to the manager she said that is their policy and they would not allow anyone in store who would abide by their policy. All four of us put back what we we goung to purchase and left. This lind of discrimination is very 😥 and hurtful.

I have been shopping here since they openedI have purchased 10+ machines here over the years. Great service and sales. Great trade in values. The owners classes are free and they make sure you understand your machine. My daughter took classes her to learn how to sew as a young girl. Great instructors and staff. A large variety of classes for every sewing and quilting style.

Lovely store if you are a quilter, however not so much if you are into garment construction as I am. I only go occasionally for notions.

Although I was offered help, when I asked for help finding a specific print they may have had in stock, I was pointed in the General direction of where it might be, and left to try and find it on my own. If you’ve ever stared at the wall -o- fabrics it’s difficult to pick out a certain print you may be looking for. My vision isn’t the best anymore and one of the employees being willing to walk away from the cutting and cashier area would have been nice. I spent enough on what I did find that a little more graciousness in helping a customer would definitely bring me back in the future. Not impressed enough that I will probably ever go back there and make another purchase. It was not a very welcoming and helpful environment. Was very disappointed.

HUGE store! I went to check out their sewing machines since they carry so many brands. The staff there was great and I did wind up buying one from them. My friend and I wound up buying a few other things as well! Great store!

This store has a lot of unique fabric. I like to go there when I have a special project. But when I go, the staff isnt always helpful or friendly. This visit was a Saturday of Labor Day weekend. They closed at 5pm. I was aware of that before we went. At 4:45 they announced they were going to be closing soon. My husband got in line while I tried to find some laminate material for inside a diaper bag. I interrupted a cutting order to ask only because I knew they wanted to leave and I apologized when I did. The staff member was rude. Then at check out, the fabric I bought rang up wrong. When told the total, my husband mentioned that seemed high. The staff member who rang it up (different than rude cutter), said it was the fleece which was expensive. The total was over $200. We paid. Then my husband looked at the receipt. The fleece rang up at over $40 per yard! It didnt upset me that it rang up wrong but that they were in such a hurry to close she didnt even care to check before we cashed out. She wasted more time trying to refund us than if she just would have made sure all was good when we said it seemed high. I wonder how many people paid that price?! Supposed to be $16 a yard. What really got me was staff hollering to lock the doors. Another shopper said you should make an announcement for the shoppers looking at fabric on their sidewalk sale. The staff member just said they can come back tomorrow. Wow. Nice. I have had experiences at this store when I was happy with the customer service. But also several that I wasnt. I choose to shop local for many reasons. But online is looking like a better option and better price. Its all about customer service ladies.

Everything you could need for a sewing project can be found here. Their inventory is huge. The staff is so friendly and eager to help you find what you need. I came in as a total newbie to sewing. They didnt treat any of my questions as dumb. I took the how to use your sewing machine class; Im so thankful they offer this class. Ardis was patient and answered everyones questions. She gives all the one-on-one time needed as everyone has a different machine.

Great selection and great staff. I was trying to find a sewing machine for my 10 year old daughter and the staff helped me to find the perfect one. Also, they offer a free class that shows how to use the sewing machine which is a great value added service. I highly recommend Country Stitches.

If you are a sewer, do not miss this store. It was worth the 1.5 hour drive. An entire room of batiks, lots of good quality solids and cute juvenile prints. Staff is helpful. They sell machines as well and offer classes.

As a beginning sewer its intimating to walk into a bustling store overwhelming in equipment and notions. But I found the sales staff extremely helpful and friendly. I just wish they werent a hour and a half away. :-)

A little pricey but we dont have many options in Lansing. The stock a lot of different items which is nice. Not just a lot of fabric.
