Great course. Awesome layout. Fairways were in great condition, could easily tell the difference between the fairway and rough. But people do not like to fix the divots on the greens. Thats the reason for 4 stars. Would have to repair 4 divots per green. Fixing that many still left many left to be repaired. Would give 4 1/2 stars. Was awesome to see a family teaching their young daughter how to play. Overall was a great place to play.

The course is awesome. Plays well and full of honest people. I left my range finder and they returned it. Also the course was backed up and they gave us some free range ballsI wanted to add that the course wasn’t backed up due to management but because of frost on greens, something they can’t control. They handled it great. Will be returning for sure.

Very disappointed I called Weds the 22nd at 6pm for a 10am tee time on Saturday the 25th, advised the gentlemen on the phone my son has his Youth On Course card, he said, great see you then. Walked up today, NO TEE TIME, and sorry there is nothing we can do. Oh and the youth card no longer excepted on wknds and after 2 on wkdays. Awesome! Wont be back, great communication!

Nice course and practice area. The Saturday afternoon we played was way over booked. The pace was painful...it then turned into anger. As everyone knows you then play horrible. Hit a shot wait 20min and repeat the whole front nine. Wheres the ranger when you need one. It was just my buddy and I and in front of us were a foursome with two kids and they played every shot every shot... You would think the two older guys would show some etiquette and allow us to play through. The back nine was better but our round already seemed ruined. Otherwise I do like the course. Should have played West.

Very... Very slow play on an average course. Course management and start times need to be adjusted. Also, a lot of holes have sitting water on the grass. The range is nice.

Nice place to learn golf individually during winter. They had a top tracer range for practice.

Beautiful condition. Matured well since last played here. Grooming and drainage improvements increase enjoyment. Affordable greens fee. A good walk not spoiled.

Always in good shape and a good value for the money. Very professional staff. The only downside is the lack of a good restaurant and no beer is available (maybe because its part of the MSU campus?)

I visited for a xc meet. A very hot and rough coarse. They were very organized and on time. I got a good PR and overall was a good experience.

Par on the last hole. I will be back. Greens were fast. Good rolls on the fairways. Great night to play.

East is a beautiful, well maintained course. There was a tourney playing earlier in the day, so the pin locations were pretty challenging. I am excited to go play West soon.

Excellent facility, beautiful area for hitting balls. Also has a great area for chipping and putting practice.

Well maintained public course. Some holes are more open. The majority of greens are challenging. Shorter par 4s not as easy as they may appear.

Both Akers East and West are a pair of Mid Michigans nicer coarse. They are both so well maintained the difference between the two is length and forgiveness.The East coarse isnt as long but she is forgiving. Nice wide open fairways and good sized greens.Both can still be walked with the East coarse a bit easier to do so.Both of these coarses are fun to play the staff is very friendly. The areas bestv range is at the East coarse.Golf MSU you cant go wrong.

I like playing the west coast but overall Forest Akers is a really nice golf course.

Nice course, good value, slow play and no Marshall. 5 hours on that course was way to long.

That day they had a really good price. Normally they tier the price depending on your MSU affiliation.
